The Low Down

G Adventures G Adventures have impressed us with their ethos, their range of unique itineraries and proven track record with over 100,000 past travellers. Their main competitor in the adventure touring space is Intrepid, with both Operators focused on authentic, affordable small group tours. With over 600 trips around the world and 50,000 departures, G have a stunning range of interesting unique itineraries to choose from, with a focus on South and Central America, Asia and Polar expedition cruising.

G Adventures operate dynamic pricing so prices can change daily - upwards if the trip is filling up, and down if they need to fill some spaces. G have also recently incorporated Wellness trips, 18-to-Thirty Somethings adventures and National Georgraphic Signature luxury trips into their portfolio of trip styles.
Globus The Globus Family of Brands, which includes Globus, Cosmos, Monograms & Avalon Waterways are always popular with our clients. Globus offer a premium guided touring experience all over the world, catering mainly for the 55+ market - but like most Operators are open to all ages. Sacred Inca Valley Tour 0 Solo-ish Peru , BC, Canada, Feb 2026
Fantastic tour! Be prepared for some pretty intense climbing/hiking at altitude. Machu Picchu was surreal. I learned so much more about the history of the Inca and the other cultures that were present throughout out the area. Fascinating and well worth the effort!
Morocco in Depth   0 Journeys: Morocco in Depth , AB, Canada, Feb 2026
We would definitely book with Global Journeys again. The response time was amazing and issues were dealt with competently. Early February was a good time to be in Morocco. We could definitely feel the increase in the number of tourists between our two stays in Marrakech - a span of eight days. We enjoyed the cooking and calligraphy classes. We loved read more hearing about the history of Morocco, its culture, and about Islam and Ramadan. People need to be prepared for some long travel days over sometime scary roads in vans that could be more comfortable. Our fellow travellers were a good mix, and there were no issues, even agreeing to allow my tall husband to occupy the middle seat in the back row, the whole trip! Our guide was excellent and our driver very skilled and safe over varying road conditions.
They took care of EVERYTHING!   0 Morocco Kasbahs & Desert , MN, United States, Feb 2026
Global Journeys and Isabella were fantastic! Everything was taken care of from arrival and departure snd everything in between. Isabella had things ready for me well in advance as I was traveling prior. She contacted me with all necessary information prior to, and during, my travel. I will most definitely book with Global Journeys again. High quality read more planning, booking, tours, ans guides.
Alaskan Adventure in the Winter 0 Alaska in Winter: Northern Lights & Dog Sledding Adventure , CA, United States, Feb 2026
Incredible trip! I booked 1 week in Alaska and experienced nature hikes along the Alaskan range, guided walk on a glacier, Northern Lights, and dog sledding.
Morocco from North to South 0 Morocco North and South: Mountain Villages and Ancient Kasbahs , TX, United States, Jan 2026
Touring Morocco itself was a wonderful experience and the two guides, Sofia and Rachid were both extraordinary. There were disappointments with some of GAdventures administrative and tour processes. Ours was a "Geluxe" tour yet you had to buy your own water at the included meals is one example. I've been on many tours with various companies and never read more not had water provide during the meals, especially in a country where they tell you not to drink the tap water.
Spectacular views and insightful experiences 0 Journeys: Discover Patagonia , VIC, Australia, Dec 2025
Being a National Geographic Tour, the destinations lived up to expectations with magnificent views and we had a couple of educational lectures combined. Patagonia is a huge space and we covered a lot of distances quickly, thanks to the internal flights. Bus rides could be more spacious and comfortable, but great CEO from G Adventures and mostly very read more good to excellent hotels. Georgie as usual was highly efficient in organising this trip. Global Journeys' online system is an optimum mix of online self-service and available help from real humans for questions when needed. I would use this again.
Swiss Escape 0 Swiss Escape , NSW, Australia, Feb 2026
A lovely 8 day bus tour with Globus, this was my first tour with Globus. The Tour Director, Susanna, who has worked with Globus for 42 years was very knowledgeable, efficient and went out of her way to ensure all participants had a great time. The countryside of Switzerland is very beautiful and the accommodation throughout the tour was excellent read more with all breakfasts and a few dinners provided with the package.

Unfortunately, our time in Lucerne, did not go to plan, the yearly carnival (which is celebrated in all of Switzerland) started the morning after we arrived, so our castle tour and many attractions were closed. I feel this is something that Globus should have been aware of and alternative plans should have been put in place. The carnival itself was very festive and the street parade great to watch, but disappointing that items on our schedule were unable to be visited.

On the last day of the tour, the optional tour consisted of a visit to the Castles of Bellinzona with lunch - we were given 'free time' to wander through the historic Bellinzona district. Local points of interest were closed due to the carnival, the Castle is free to enter, lunch was provided, but was fairly basic, we then visited Como in Italy and again was given 'free time' to explore Como on our own. This should have formed part of the the tour and not a optional paid tour, as previous tour days we visited cities and were given free time to explore. The cost of this 'optional tour' was quite expensive for what was provided and this was discussed by the other tour participants, who were also disappointed with this optional tour. Overall, I enjoyed the tour.
A Beautiful Sightseeing Honeymoon 0 Italian Escape , IN, United States, Jan 2026
As 2 people who have never been outside of the U.S. my wife and I decided to visit a foreign country for the first time, together for our Honeymoon. Globus make the booking and touring process extremely easy and hassle-free. They also provided us with an amazing price for a week long tour through Italy. Visiting the historic and beautiful towns of Rome, read more Florence, Venice, Assisi, and Pisa with guided tours was a once in a lifetime experience, and all we went to do is go back. We will definitely be booking our next travel through Global Journeys!
Beautiful Rio! 0 Brazil & Argentina Escape , QLD, Australia, Jan 2026
Thank you Hannah and Global Journeys for organising our wonderful trip to Brazil and Argentina. It was an amazing way to kick start our month long adventure in South America and Antarctica. We loved Rio De Janeiro, such a beautiful city. Huge highlight was visiting Iguassu falls and getting to see toucans and flamingos at the bird park. We also loved read more Buenos Aires, the Paris of South America. As per usual Hannah took care of everything for us and answered all our questions. We'll be booking with Hannah again in the future! Thank you Global Journeys.
Best tour I’ve had 0 Spain & Portugal Escape , QLD, Australia, Nov 2025
I went on Spain & Portugal tour in Nov-Dec 2025 and enjoyed it so much that I’m now thinking on taking another Spain tour with Globus (this time with Granada) in this year 😀. The best tour director (Angel Diaz) who looked after each of us like a mother (it’s a he anyway). The only downside was the hotel in Seville; I’m just hoping that when I book another read more Spain tour this year I won’t get the same hotel.
Fantastic trip ...especially Amazon   0 South America Getaway with Amazon , QLD, Australia, Oct 2025
Thanks Georgie for fantastic arrangements as usual for a really great trip. True highlights were iguazu Falls and the Amazon...both SO much better than my expectations which were already high. 2 days in Manaus before the trip started was ideal as the jet lag and long travel to manaus took some adjustment. Outstanding tour guides in Amazon and Iguazu read more and good elsewhere made for a wonderful trip. Loved the small group tour ...just 13 of us. Perfect. Highly recommend this trip for a great pace and itinerary.
South American discovery   0 South America Getaway with Santiago & Easter Island , NSW, Australia, Oct 2025
Highlight of the trip was Iguassu Falls....we had plenty of time to explore both sides of the Falls and the local guide and accommodation was great. Easter Island was fascinating, despite some shortcomings with the local accommodation and guide There's a lot of air travel so be prepared to spend a lot of time in airports or on (crowded economy class) read more flights. No airport transfer on arrival is offered, nor can you prepay gratuities. So we had to carry local currency or USD throughout. Hotel location in Santiago was well away from shops, etc...about 20-30 minutes walk to local shopping centres, etc.
Tour group was dominated by USA tourists, including a group of (comped?) travel agents. Grace from GJ did an excellent job with the booking and Globus liaison.
