We booked this tour after a friend recommended Grand Pacific tours. Global Journeys and another vendor came up as the nominated booking agents, I reached out to both. I am so pleased I booked with Global Journeys. From my first interaction with Grace everything was effortless. Grace took the time to understand my travelling needs, my family composition read more and was upfront with what was included as well as what to expect. I live in regionally WA and Grace even arranged for our tour information and paperwork to arrive early given it was over the festive season and mail is slow where I live. It arrived in perfect time!
The tour Ultimate South Island of NZ was brilliant. We saw key highlights in all the areas, and had time to explore as well as plenty of optional tours available if we chose. We booked the helicopter flight over the glaciers and had the opportunity to land in and spend time in fresh snow. We also were lucky enough to see Mt Cook, the weather was favourable. The glow worm caves were another highlight, as was the jet boat experience. Our tour guide Dave was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He grew up in Dunedin so was well versed in everything the South Island had to offer. The coach was incredibly comfortable and , and the hotels on point, everything was organised and effortless for us. Highly recommend Global Journeys and Grand Pacific, cannot wait to book our next trip!

Our tour leader/driver Todd was fantastic. He had a great sense of humour who was able to entertain a bus full of Aussies. Todd made every effort to ensure everybody was able to visit the additional attractions they had nominated. The comfort on the coach was exceptional. Well paced covering both the North and South Island. Lots to see and do. All hotels read more were of a high standard and all meals provided allowed for every bodies diet requirements. Delicious! Highlight of the tour for us was landing in the snow.
Although this holiday was advertised as " luxury" I didn't expect too much. Boy! Was I wrong. All of the hotels were beautiful and had good rooms. The coach was luxurious. A full size coach but with 20 single seats each with its own console. Extra touches like a water bottle, headphones and mints. Travelling through the beautiful landscape was effortless, even the longer days. A well organised tour with a few minor Irritations( arriving at 8:30 am to find the museum closed). I would have loved to stay 2 nights in all the stops overs! A beautiful holiday.
Started with the wonderful smile of the meet and great at the Christchurch Airport at 12 am to the bag pick up and drop off, the well organized tours. The mazing tour Director- Vicki and our bus driver - Ben, Thank you. The helicopter landing on Franz Joseph Glacier. WOW. the crazy number of waterfalls in Milford Sound, the beautiful blue water and read more lakes, the buffet breakfast everyday and dinners, the great group of people and hospitality of the New Zealand people. OMG..
We absolutely loved our New Zealand holiday. The tour guide and leader were wonderful. A very comfortable coach. High quality hotels and meals right throughout the tour. We visited so many beautiful places. We highly recommend this tour.

This tour was an excellent way to experience the amazing sights and features of New Zealand. The itinerary was a good balance of popular attractions and lesser-known areas. The coach was very comfortable, and our “coach captain” (driver/guide) was superb.
A very enjoyable holliday for us. So many wonderful places to visit and our Tour Director and Coach Driver were so friendly and had a great knowledge of the areas we travelled through. We experienced some very extreme weather events but we were very well looked after. Our accommodation was perfect and the meals were 10/10. We would travel this way read more again as everyone on the coach tour was like a big family as we had so many opportunities to socialise.
The South Island Ultimate Grand Pacific Tour was wonderful. It was exceptionally well organised, the coach driver/ guide was fantastic and the accommodation and meals were very good.
From start to finish all went like clockwork. So well organised with fantastic tour driver and guide. Nothing was a bother. Accomodation was first class and food excellent. We were spoilt for choice. Would I travel with Grand Pacific again..... Yes.
Had a great trip, too many highlights to list! Very happy with Sam who organised my trip, went out of his way to fix any issues I had.

Would certainly use Global Journeys (Rachael McSorley) and Grand Pacific again and already thinking of dates to do a tour of the North Island NZ. Our coach driver/tour guide Linda Cruickshank was fantastic with her casual but very interesting commentary each day. The coach itself was extremely comfortable with only twenty passengers on board in luxurious read more seating and even the two ladies that operated our airport transfers were very friendly and professional. Accommodation was first class at every stop along the way, and everyone was very impressed with the quality and choices offered with our included meals. There was also a good mix between the very good, included highlight options and free time. All together I was extremely pleased with both Global Journeys and Grand Pacific, well done.
Our trip to New Zealand was truly amazing. The Grand Pacific Coach tour was certainly a “business class” experience. Right from the outset everything went smoothly. Our coach captain Paul, was fantastic, full of local knowledge even down to advice on how some of those tricky shower controls work! There were lots of surprises along the way, from spectacular read more scenery to fun rides on the luge in Rotorua. Hotels were all up to our expectations and the coach was kept spotless and comfortable for the whole trip. Would highly recommend the 19 Ultimate Showcase tour of New Zealand. This tour was even better than we had hoped. The coach was spectacular, only one seat on each side and 20 person limit. Our guide was amazing - funny, great commentary, considerate about comfort stops, excellent suggestions and recommendations. The hotels were superb as were the destinations. Great time of year to go. Dinners were amazing in each read more hotel - really excellent. The whole trip blew us away. Sam at Global Journeys was very responsive to all my questions before we departed - thank you!

The itinerary, organisation and execution of the tour were exceptional. The luxury “business class” coach was a revelation and the Coach Captain, Craig, was the most professional I have had. To top it off we had good weather!!! Great value. Photo is the view of Mt Cook at dawn from our hotel room.

Our small group 19 Day Ultimate New Zealand trip with Grand Pacific Tours exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail, the custom coach along with our guide's local knowledge and willingness to share made the holiday unforgettable. My only suggestion is to add a slightly longer tour that allows you to see even more of the beautiful south island.

We really enjoyed the Signature North Island Tour with Grand Pacific Tours. We found the coach to be extremely comfortable with heaps of leg room. The hotels were all excellent. We had great weather throughout the tour. We really enjoyed the Hobbiton Tour and lunch. We had no idea about the Lord of the Rings movies or books but the guide was really read more engaging and made the Tour really enjoyable. We also really enjoyed the cruise of the Bay of Islands out to the Hole in the Rock. We had a great bunch of fellow travellers and we were all mixed ages. We would differently travel with Grand Pacific Tours again In the Future. Georgie and then Grace made the booking process really easy. Georgie and then Grace were always really quick at getting back with answers to any questions that we had. We will differently book with Global Journeys again in the future.

The whole trip was amazing but in particular, beautiful Bay of Islands, geysers of Rotorua, Te Papa Museum in Wellington, the Coastal Pacific Rail Journey from Picton, the Tranzalpine train journey, Queenstown, Doubtful Sound Overnight Cruise, viewing magnificent snow covered alps, Larnarch Castle at Dunedin. We would definitely travel with Grand Pacific read more again and book online with Global Journeys again as our booking was handled well with no hiccups and a very comprehensive itinerary. Tips for future travellers? I would have liked to have experienced the optional extra Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa and the luge ride which was included in our itinerary in Rotorua. (Was worried about my arthritic back but should not have been concerned as the way down was bump free!!). Accommodation was very good as most hotels were situated in the centre of the city and very comfortable. We travelled in September-October and had good weather. Our fellow travellers were very easy to get on with. We really enjoyed their company.

We were looking at another classy coach trip having been on 2 previous, one in South Africa and the other in UK. We chose New Zealand and Grand Pacific because of the itinerary, being able to spend 2 days in one place, majority meals and a lot of extras were included, hence saving on extra excursions. Having the coach driver organizing numbers for read more the tours and the participants paying direct to the vendor, we thought was terrific as the UK trip the guide was charging a fee for organizing. This trip ticked all the boxes. The only downfall was that twice we had to stay at accommodation in Christchurch which was below the standard that other accommodation facilities we had visited. Hopefully Grand Pacific will take note of the reviews and look for a better place.
We usually book our own trips and were told that we had to go through Global Journeys in Australia or New Zealand. We chose Australia. I believe when you use a Travel Agent, they do everything for you. No problems, no stress. I had noticed that there was an irregularity in the departure from Christchurch to Perth. Our transport was organised for the day we were suppose to fly out, yet our fly out day was the next day. There was a bit of confusion and a "typo" was blamed for the error and yet we had to pay for the alteration to the booking. My husband was fuming and a verbal altercation ensued. He wanted to speak to the Manager and was told that the agent was the Manager. It was a bit of a bad taste left in the mouth. Time passed and we were asked to change departure time from Christchurch due to the connecting flight (so there was plenty of time), no problems didn't cost anything that was a bonus. I was looking at the booking again and noticed that there was a error in the departure time from Perth, the booking was reflecting a time of 29:50 hours. I asked the agent to check and after a few emails to clarify the typo. The agent has since been made up to Managing Director, thought she owned the Company. Another agent was assigned to our booking and there was no problems.

The title of a well known song ‘Trains, and Boats and Planes’ has one missing element - Coach. Travelling the length of the North Island, across the strait, then the length of the South Island in a 20 seat Premium Coach was certainly an awesome and beautiful experience. Looking out with almost a 360 deg view enabled each passenger the opportunity to read more capture the natural, pristine and occasional rugged beauty of NZ. Coupled with a very efficient capable Coach Driver and Tour Guide made the journey an everlasting memorable adventure. We would certainly recommend this means of a NZ holiday offered by GPT that did include all modes of transport - planes, trains, boats and coach, and even walking/strolling. Booking the holiday through Global Journeys was a trouble free and efficient experience which comes highly recommended. All in all an EXCELLENT and everlasting holiday experience - thank you GJ and GPT.
This was our third coach trip with Grand Pacific having previously done both Islands on what was then called the mid range tour. Last year we completed the Ultimate Tour of the South Island and followed with the Ultimate Tour of the North Island this year. We have nothing but good to say in relation to our trips with Grand Pacific and would highly read more recommend either of the Ultimate Tours with a slight leaning towards the South Island. Having said that, our driver / guide (Megan Forrest) was outstanding and very professional & knowledgeable in all aspects. All included meals were of a very high standard. We as a group of 20 mixed very well with no complaints. The standard of vehicles for our pick up in Auckland and drop off in Wellington was 5 star. Our booking experience with Global Journeys was without a hitch and we would certainly use them again.
