Grand Pacific Tours were fabulous to holiday with. I would travel with them again. Quality hotel accommodation was provided with breakfasts and most evening meals included. The inclusion list of train trips, museums and other places of interest was impressive for the price. Booking through Global Journeys was seamless.
Tour was great although it did get disrupted with Covid but from the start Hannah was great with all documentation needed and the Grand Pacific Tour was good value for money.

The highlights for me were the sandboarding on an optional day trip to Ninety Mile beach, visiting Hobbiton in the rain, going on a luge down Mount Rotorua and cruising through the Hole in the Rock during a Bay of Islands tour. A major downside was flying in after 1am into Auckland and not being met at the airport to be transferred, as promised by read more the tour company, to SkyCity Hotel, which cost me about $100 for the taxi. I was re-imbursed for this a week later, though.
All the accommodation was fine including the fire drill at 7am in our Rotorua Hotel. The meals were all of a high standard. Due to the cyclones and floods that had occurred just before the tour began, we missed out on a number of sights and venues, however, Tour Director Barry, went out of his way to ensure we experienced the places that we could get to. I intend doing another NZ tour, but include both islands, in the next 2 years. Hannah, from Global Journeys, was efficient in setting up the tour and keeping me informed pre-departure, and I will continue using GJ for future tours.

Both Marg and I had a great New Zealand Holiday. A big thank you to Jemma at Global Journeys for all the assistance she provided to us. This was our second holiday to New Zealand with Grand Pacific, our tour guide Kris and bus driver Alex were great. We had a great holiday and would go with Grand Pacific and Global Journeys when planning our next holiday.
This was my first trip to NZ. The booking process went very well thanks to Hannah. I traveled with a friend. From the time we left Melbourne to our return the holiday was everything we expected and more. There were so many highlights ( too many to mention) but one I would recommend was the overnight cruise on Milford Sound. Also do take a couple of read more train journeys. I didn’t expect the two islands to be so different so was very pleased to have decided to explore both.
Accommodation was very good overall. We both felt very safe with both drivers but we were concerned there had been no change to the air conditioning circulation since Covid. A word about our Guide Krissy Higgan. She was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. Caring, fun, so easy to approach with any concerns etc. She certainly made the holiday very special.
Finally about the NZ people. They are a very friendly and relaxed group. Be prepared to wait in long queues for your coffee fix!! Which reminds me…… on the trip there were plenty of coffee/ toilet and sight seeing stops. We would both travel with Grand Pacific again. Would be very happy to deal with Hannah at Global Journeys again.

Roger was fantastic - great driver, very organised and very knowledgeable. Small groups of travellers - positive attitudes and lots of fun. Enjoyed visiting a wide variety of places - historical and cultural. Hotels were good, especially Regent Rotorua and Intercontinental Wellington.
Overall quality of travel with GPT was good. Breakfast and Dinner selection were good quality. Tour Guide and Drivers were supportive and knowledgeable. However few selections could have been better. Night stay at Omarama was ordinary as room did not have fan/aircon and it was bit hot at night. Our flight from Sydney to Christchurch was booked via Auckland read more where due to International to domestic transitioning carrying out quarantine and transfer was real hassle with such a short span of time. I expected direct flight as so many options available from Sydney to Christchurch. At least as minimum terminal transfer should have been organised by GPT as part of trip which was not.

The whole experience from booking with Tracey at Global Journeys to saying farewell to our Grand Pacific tour leader and fellow passengers on the trip has been wonderful.
New Zealand kept on giving: Mount Cook, clear azure lakes, glaciers, Milford Sound, glowworm caves, boat trips, Queenstown four wheel drive, tours through Wellington, Auckland, read more Dunedin, Christchurch, mountains, sea, rivers, museums and cultural events. Hotels were clean, plentiful food, great company and brilliant experienced leader and drivers. I highly recommend the whole experience. Tiring but well worth it!

This trip was booked before Covid. My dream holiday to New Zealand lived up to my expectations in spite of the not so good weather on North Island. Georgie answered all my queries promptly and efficiently and I will have no hesitation of booking with Global Journeys again.

I can highly recommend the Signature South Island tour from Christchurch to Christchurch. January was a great time to travel - we had excellent weather. The very smart coach can accommodate 32 passengers. There were 27 in our group - mostly Australians with a few from the UK, an American couple and a lady from Canada. The company has an ingenious seat read more rotation policy which meant that you experienced different areas of the coach and had different people around you every day. All but one dinner was included and there were reduced price drinks before dinner so there were plenty of opportunities to mingle. Hotels were very good and a lot of activities were included in the price. I chose to do many of the optional activities, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The scenery was spectacular, the coach captain was a font of information about Māori history and the areas we passed through, as well as being an excellent driver, and the tour leader couldn’t do enough to make sure everyone was happy.
Have just returned from the most fantastic trip with Grand Pacific and I can honestly say that it more than exceeded my expectations. I had been very uncertain about coach travel, but as a single traveller, there are not too many options and the small group tour coach operated by GPT was so comfortable with only 20 seats on a full size vehicle. My travel read more companions turned out to be a delight and we had some great experiences together.
The tour itself was extremely well coordinated and organised and our coach captain kept us all in order and took very good care of all our wants and needs. He was patient and knowledgeable and kept us amused and entertained during the sometimes necessarily long journeys, and we felt very safe and secure in his care.
There was a good choice of excursions at the various tour stops and the standard of hotels used was generally extremely high, with good locations with the overnight stay on the boat through Doubtful Sound being one of the highlights of the whole trip for me, along with the helicopter flight from Fox Glacier. The only comment I would make is that the trip could have been improved if we had stayed 3 nights and not 2 at most of the towns. With the excursions taking up the free time it would have been great to have more free time to explore each place, as fort the majority of tourists this will be the only time they get to visit NZ given the distances most had travelled to get there.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 19-day ultimate tour of New Zealand being driven on the ultimate coach with just 20 guests. We had the best group of touring companions and were on time every time with all our departures. Having a free day on Day 2 of the trip was questionable and it would have been better placed after the long drive from Rotorua to Wellington read more on day 8. This drive was made worse as we had to detour via the western side of Lake Taupo due to road works on the Eastern route.
Our highlight was the overnight cruise on Doubtful Sound, having just 47 other passengers as company on the overnight trip to this secluded and beautiful region of New Zealand. WOW a special place. This trip could be improved with a few additional days and a visit to a winery will top it off. Well done Grand Pacific and thank you. Great tour of NZ highlights. Luxury coach with excellent driver/guide who went the extra mile for guests. Visited lots of wonderful places & planned & optional activities were excellent, including Bay of Islands, Rotarua Skyline Ride & Luge, Franz Josef Glacier & helicopter, Haast River jet, Wildlife & Cultural tours, old steam trains & Larnach Castle. read more Doubtful Sound Cruise was one of many memories we will treasure. Majority of accommodation of a high standard with welcoming staff. Well organised & would highly recommend.

This was the best coach tour we have done. We only had 18 people out of a maximum of 20 on the tour. The coach is full size, modern with very comfortable seats and plenty of leg room for taller people. The hotels we stayed in were all of a very good standard and all the included dinners were excellent. Our Coach Captain Paul was exceptional and made read more sure every person was looked after and was getting the best experience from the tour. His commentary throughout the tour was superb. This tour is very well organized and ran without any problems. The South Island of New Zealand is quite spectacular, particularly the mountainous West coast. Thanks to Georgie from Global Journeys for booking this tour for us with her usual high standard of service.
We loved this trip, every day provided us with magical experiences, hard to pick the favourite. Our guide Lorraine and driver Jeremy were fantastic, always ready to help if needed but such good fun to be with.
The first part of our trip through NZ South Island met and exceeded our expectation in terms of the scenery and places we visited. The valleys, lakes and snow-capped mountains where spectacular! We realise that long distances had to be covered but found some of the comfort and lunch stops very short. Regrettably, illness prevented us from completing read more the rest of the tour of North Island but our Global Journeys agent was as helpful as she could be in facilitating the necessary arrangements.
This was our second trip with GPT and it surpassed the first one, just. Extremely well organised, the coach captain, Linda, made life easy for her passengers. She also turned out to be a mine of information about New Zealand and its history including its flora and fauna. There were some that were, IMO, way over the top with drink prices, eg. $19-24 for a glass of local wine and $15 for a beer. These tend to take the edge of an otherwise enjoyable stay, more so when you see the same wine the next day for $12 a bottle in the high street bottle shop. That is not a reflection on GPT but something they may wish to consider when reviewing their contracts with these hotel chains. Grand Pacific ultimate coach tour of New Zealand (North and South islands) was excellent. Coach and driver/guide were outstanding and coach was very comfortable. Itinerary was fantastic and the accommodation and meals overall were of a very good standard. All stops and included tours were very good and we had great companionship from our fellow travellers. read more Some friendships that will be maintained on returning home were established and we had great fun.The absence of laundry facilities, particularly in the North Island accommodation was frustrating and the departure from Auckland airport a nightmare but overall would highly recommend this 16 day itinerary.
A wonderful trip, worth every cent! The hotels were first class, the 20 seater full size bus was amazing and the tour guide/driver was excellent.
