Spotlight on Tuscany 0 Spotlight on Tuscany , QLD, Australia, Apr 2026
My grandma & I recently completed Collette's Spotlight on Tuscany tour with the pre-extension tour in Rome and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The itinerary was very well organised and provided a perfect balance of guided activities and free time to explore at our own pace. The accommodation was comfortable and centrally located, making read more day trips throughout Tuscany very convenient. Our tour guide Luca was amazing and always went the extra mile to make the trip even more enjoyable.
Collette Alpine Lakes and Scenic Trains tour   0 Alpine Lakes & Scenic Trains , NSW, Australia, Apr 2026
We recently had the pleasure of joining Alpine Lakes and Scenic Trains Tours, and it was nothing short of exceptional from start to finish. The entire experience felt thoughtfully designed, balancing breathtaking natural beauty with comfort and seamless organization. The alpine lake destinations were truly stunning—crystal-clear waters surrounded by read more dramatic mountain landscapes that looked almost unreal. Each stop was timed perfectly, allowing enough time to explore, take photos, or simply sit and appreciate the peaceful surroundings without feeling rushed.

The scenic train journeys were a highlight in themselves. Traveling through winding valleys, across historic bridges, and past panoramic vistas offered a unique perspective you simply can’t get by road. The trains were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destinations.

What stood out most was the professionalism and warmth of our tour guide Armando. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the regions we visited. His insights added depth to the experience, sharing stories and local history that made each location even more meaningful.
Logistics were handled flawlessly—transport connections, timing, and best accommodations all ran smoothly, which made the trip feel effortless and relaxing. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into planning these tours. Big thank you to the best driver, Diego and tour director Armando Disanto.

We would highly recommend Alpine Lakes and Scenic Trains Tours to anyone looking for a well-curated, memorable travel experience. It’s an ideal blend of nature, comfort, and discovery.

And to Global Journeys, Tracey who assisted us from the beginning until the end of our booking. She made everything hassle free and stress free. Thank you so much Tracey for your help. We would gladly book with them again.
Wonderful tour of Rome and Amalfi Coast 0 Rome & Amalfi Coast , NSW, Australia, Mar 2026
It was great to be back in historic Rome, especially exploring with a group. Our local guides were knowledgeable and the hotel's central location made it easy for us to see the city's major landmarks. The transition to Amalfi Coast was seamless with well organised excursions. We enjoyed the stunning coastal views. We stayed in Vietri sul Mare, a quieter read more base with beautiful scenery, though we would have preferred Salerno for more activity and easier access to restaurants and transport.
The extension to Naples was an eye-opener. We were glad to experience its organised chaos. We were surprised the group wasn't taken to Piazza del Plebiscito, which we discovered on our own.

Our tour manager Giorgio kept everything running smoothly and our driver Luigi ensured we were taken to our tour destinations safe and on time. Our group of 31, all from the States and who mostly knew each other, with just the two of us from Australia, was warm and friendly making the experience even more enjoyable.
Also have to highlight the help from Tracey Standing, who assisted us in reinstating the tour in time after we had cancelled due to uncertainty in our flights via Abu Dhabi. We're glad we made it to this trip.
Southern Charm 0 Southern Charm , NY, United States, Feb 2026
The trip was well organized with a variety of attractions and activities, supplemented by stories and anecdotes shared by the guide. Accommodations were comfortable and stylish. Also kudos to the consideration and flexibility of our guide. Due to weather event, we changed our arrival schedules a few times and ended up arriving one day late. Our guide read more has been very patient and helped us make alternative arrangements.
Artefacts & Antiques are Awesome   0 Egypt and Jordan , VIC, Australia, Feb 2026
The hotels we stayed in were excellent, with some of them being absolutely luxurious. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable about their Country. But the highlight was the Holy Land & Petra in Jordan & the Pyramids, the Sphinx & the Temples in Egypt, there are no words. To stand before these historical monuments & gaze in awe at such unbelievable read more feats of engineering. A must see.
Well led tour by our trusty tour guide Jonathan Mueller 0 Exploring South Africa, Victoria Falls & Botswana , NSW, Australia, Nov 2025
We felt very safe and well managed on our trip to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Our only disappointment was the lack of animals, in particular in Pilanesburg N Park. Having 5 safaris there was too many for such a poorly maintained road system. We all struggled with how rough the tracks were and the lack of animal sightings didn't help. The lodge read more was also not to our taste - too snooty. The Wallow Lodge and Chobi lodge were much better for our tastes. I will go back and do at least one more safari trip but will research the parks being offered in much greater detail before committing.
Unforgettable travel through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana   0 Splendors of South Africa & Victoria Falls with Chobe River Cruise , NT, Australia, Mar 2026
Key highlights:
- Cape Town city and surrounding areas - There is so much to do in this fun and vibrant city and nearby towns. Food was exceptionally good, and noticeably cheaper than comparable culinary experiences in Australia, especially around the V&A Waterfront. The full day Cape Winelands private day wine tour (optional excursion available through read more Globus) to select wineries in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl was excellent (non-alcoholic beverages also available).
- Hotels in Cape Town and Johannesburg presented as luxurious especially the à la carte and breakfast buffet experience at Sandton Sun & Towers.
- Land game drive (safari) experiences in Kruger National Park were exciting and thrilling. It’s a pity there was a last minute change to accommodation due to Makalali Main Lodge’s sudden closure resulting from extreme weather event damage in March 2026. The Elephant Walk Tented Camp was a nice alternative and was right next to the Crocodile Bridge gate entrance meaning quicker access to the National Park. Loved how each luxurious air conditioned tent had its own ceiling fan over the bed and seperate modern toilet and shower.
- River cruise on the Zambezi River, near Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe side) was a great way to see hippos up slightly closer than normal given the safety of the large cruising vessel.
- 3 night stay on Chobe River Cruise (Namibian and Botswana sides) was the ABSOLUTE highlight. The main boat is modern and gets refurbished each year (usually in January/ February). The service was excellent, plenty to eat and drink and the cruise includes all the water safaris as well as the opportunity to go fishing and visit Ijamwe village in Namibia, where the Subia language is spoken. The water safaris offered a unique experience especially seeing the wild animals living in/ coming down to the river to eat, hunt and play.
- Well arranged transportation between Zimbabwe/ Botswana/ Namibia especially the water border post crossings.

Tips:
1. Consider travelling a few days earlier to Cape Town to go to places not covered in the Globus tour. Google ‘Unlimited Premium Pass’ for itinerary ideas: https://capetown.citypass.co.za/about-the-premium-unlimited-pass/
2. Consider booking a safari in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, available through Illala Lodge’s tours and activities desk. A game drive on a private reserve offers a more personalised, high-end experience.
3. Avoid going on the ‘Victoria Falls cultural tour’ optional excursion available through Globus (terrible experience, pure money grab). On the contrary, the traditional Ijamwe village visit in Namibia (inclusive as part of the Chobe River cruise) was informative and memorable.
4. If going on the Chobe River cruise, you will likely need a visa to enter Namibia. To save time, and not have to wait in the stifling heat outside the customs border shipping container office, suggest coming with a prepaid e-visa (note: hard copy paper visa applications on site at the customs makeshift post can take ages to process).
5. Make sure you have a copy of your yellow fever vaccination certificate handy especially if there are any recent passport stamps from relevant countries or you risk being asked for bribes (e.g. USD, AUD, hiking shoes on your feet) by Zimbabwean airport officials on arrival.
Croatia & Albania Escape 0 Croatia & Albania Escape , ON, Canada, Mar 2026
Incredible Balkan Experience Across Three Countries. This tour through Croatia, Montenegro, and Albania exceeded expectations in every way. It was the perfect introduction to the Balkans - diverse, scenic, and culturally rich. In Croatia, highlights included walking through the historic streets of Dubrovnik, stunning seaside boardwalks in Split & Zadar, read more and exploring the stunning coastline along the Adriatic. Montenegro offered breathtaking views in Kotor, with its dramatic mountains and beautiful bay - easily one of the most picturesque stops on the trip.

Albania was a big surprise. The vibrant and progressive capital Tirana gave a unique mix of history and modern energy. The food across all three countries was fresh, flavorful, and very affordable. The itinerary was well-paced, balancing guided tours with free time to explore independently. Transportation was smooth, border crossings were handled efficiently, and hotels were well curated, comfortable and centrally located.

What made the trip stand out was our guide, Viktor Holub - knowledgeable, friendly, funny and passionate about the region. His insights, together with the excellently chosen local guides, gave us interesting information into Balkan history and culture which added a lot of depth to the experience. Overall: This is an excellent tour for first-time visitors to the Balkans who want a comprehensive overview without the stress of planning. Highly recommended.
Swiss Escape 0 Swiss Escape , NSW, Australia, Feb 2026
A lovely 8 day bus tour with Globus, this was my first tour with Globus. The Tour Director, Susanna, who has worked with Globus for 42 years was very knowledgeable, efficient and went out of her way to ensure all participants had a great time. The countryside of Switzerland is very beautiful and the accommodation throughout the tour was excellent read more with all breakfasts and a few dinners provided with the package.

Unfortunately, our time in Lucerne, did not go to plan, the yearly carnival (which is celebrated in all of Switzerland) started the morning after we arrived, so our castle tour and many attractions were closed. I feel this is something that Globus should have been aware of and alternative plans should have been put in place. The carnival itself was very festive and the street parade great to watch, but disappointing that items on our schedule were unable to be visited.

On the last day of the tour, the optional tour consisted of a visit to the Castles of Bellinzona with lunch - we were given 'free time' to wander through the historic Bellinzona district. Local points of interest were closed due to the carnival, the Castle is free to enter, lunch was provided, but was fairly basic, we then visited Como in Italy and again was given 'free time' to explore Como on our own. This should have formed part of the the tour and not a optional paid tour, as previous tour days we visited cities and were given free time to explore. The cost of this 'optional tour' was quite expensive for what was provided and this was discussed by the other tour participants, who were also disappointed with this optional tour. Overall, I enjoyed the tour.
A Beautiful Sightseeing Honeymoon 0 Italian Escape , IN, United States, Jan 2026
As 2 people who have never been outside of the U.S. my wife and I decided to visit a foreign country for the first time, together for our Honeymoon. Globus make the booking and touring process extremely easy and hassle-free. They also provided us with an amazing price for a week long tour through Italy. Visiting the historic and beautiful towns of Rome, read more Florence, Venice, Assisi, and Pisa with guided tours was a once in a lifetime experience, and all we went to do is go back. We will definitely be booking our next travel through Global Journeys!
Beautiful Rio! 0 Brazil & Argentina Escape , QLD, Australia, Jan 2026
Thank you Hannah and Global Journeys for organising our wonderful trip to Brazil and Argentina. It was an amazing way to kick start our month long adventure in South America and Antarctica. We loved Rio De Janeiro, such a beautiful city. Huge highlight was visiting Iguassu falls and getting to see toucans and flamingos at the bird park. We also loved read more Buenos Aires, the Paris of South America. As per usual Hannah took care of everything for us and answered all our questions. We'll be booking with Hannah again in the future! Thank you Global Journeys.
Best tour I’ve had 0 Spain & Portugal Escape , QLD, Australia, Nov 2025
I went on Spain & Portugal tour in Nov-Dec 2025 and enjoyed it so much that I’m now thinking on taking another Spain tour with Globus (this time with Granada) in this year 😀. The best tour director (Angel Diaz) who looked after each of us like a mother (it’s a he anyway). The only downside was the hotel in Seville; I’m just hoping that when I book another read more Spain tour this year I won’t get the same hotel.
