Since 2005, INTRO Travel has been creating life changing group travel experiences for travellers aged 18 to 40+. We’re here to make travel more social, more seamless and a whole lot more fun. You’ll explore incredible places, try amazing local food, connect with the people and culture, give back along the way and, of course, build a new crew of mates.
We’re a little different from your typical big tour operator. We put serious thought into every trip, from handpicking great accommodation to finding experiences that go beyond the usual tourist read more trail. Many of these experiences are created with our local partners, giving you a more authentic way to experience each destination.
Our trips are relaxed and social, with plenty of freedom to do your own thing. But we also don’t leave you with a packed itinerary of optional extras. The experiences, activities and inclusions you want are already built into the trip, with a few special surprises along the way.

Yes, solo-room upgrades are available on many trips for an additional charge, although they may not be possible at every accommodation or on particular overnight transport.
Do you offer room-sharing with other solo travellers?
Yes. Solo travellers are generally paired with another traveller of the same gender, with INTRO also aiming to match people of a similar age where possible. Multi-share accommodation may also be used on some trips.
How would you describe the accommodation on your trips?
Accommodation varies considerably by itinerary, from hostels and multi-share rooms to hotels, resorts, bungalows, boats and distinctive local stays. Premium trips use upgraded hotels, resorts and boutique-style accommodation.
Are there any extras to pay on top of the tour price shown?
Some meals and activities not listed in the itinerary will cost extra. INTRO emphasises that their scheduled itinerary experiences and activities are included in the trip price, rather than sold as optional extras after arrival.
Do you have the same guide throughout the trip?
An INTRO Group Leader accompanies the group from the beginning of the trip and manages the journey throughout.
Do you use local guides?
Yes. INTRO uses local experts and guides for destination-specific experiences alongside the main Group Leader.
How much free time will we have on a Intro Travel trip?
Trips are activity-rich and include many organised experiences, but there is also independent time on many itineraries to explore, relax or choose your own activities.
How fit do we need to be?
A moderate level of fitness is suitable for most trips, although some itineraries include activities such as hiking, trekking, surfing, kayaking or cycling that require greater mobility.

Dom, our fearless leader, was absolutely incredible!! He was so quick with responses, always had an answer for any questions we had and was on the case when there was any issues that would arise. Two people had family emergencies during the week and he was quick to do whatever he could for both of them to help. It was obviously that he really cared about making the whole trip the best experience for all of us, whether that was having a chill night playing cards but also raging in the bar or clubs with the rest of us but also organising us all so we were safe and all having the best time! He also managed to give us enough free time between group activities to have breaks and gave us enough historical information to be informed about the amazing places we visited while also joining in on the activities with the rest of the group. He was sweet, funny, kind, caring, passionate, knowledgeable and we could not have asked for a better leader for our team! Love you Dom!
The crew on board were also so helpful, smiling and happy to accommodate us (as they live full time on board, it must be hard to have a party every night in your home). They worked so hard when we were ringing that bell for rounds of shots every 2 minutes!! And we love them for it!
The boat itself is intimate to say the least but it meant that we were all like family by the end. A few different areas to hang out in and separate to have your our space too. The bedrooms were a bit small (all single bunks) with not a lot of floor space but can store shoes and bags under the bed and small hanging space. Has a great aircon! The bathroom sink converts into a hand-held shower which has good hot water and pressure as long as not too many people using it at once.
The only other comment is that the bar tab at the end has to be paid in full cash at the end of the last night and a few people got caught up with big bar tabs and limited cash withdrawals which we had been warned about so FYI to take out your cash in advance and keep on eye on your tab! All in all, an amazing week with an amazing crew an awesome team of people!
