Hotels are often located out of the city centre, so prepare your trip budget to allow for transfers or taxis if you want to explore the cities on your own. This Cosmos tour was most enjoyable. The Tour guide and bus driver both ensured the tour went smoothly. The hotels and provided meals were of a high standard. The pace of the tour was reasonable considering the distances covered each day. Norway itself is a most interesting country and our tour guide gave us a lot of information as we toured each day. read more Tourists need to prepare for changeable weather throughout the tour. Norway has a 25% GST so things are very expensive and that is another thing you need to prepare for.
Oslo is a city for tourists and we recommend 2 or 3 days would be worthwhile prior to the tour. The towns and scenery visited was good throughout the trip but became exceptional from Bergen onwards. One challenge in touring in Norway is the short tourist season through summer results in the large ships disgorging huge tourist numbers into small Fjord towns. This is one advantage of coach touring as this problem can to some degree be avoided, but it probably should be expected. It can be a problem in Flam. Another strange problem is that despite Norway's absurd wealth, and despite the fact that they make a lot of money from tourism, they have very few public toilet facilities. This to some degree determines where the tour buses must go. To me it seems a lack of respect for tourists.

I really enjoyed this tour and what made it great was 2 nights in each city. I also loved that it was not a jam packed itinerary each day so there was plenty of free time to explore. The tour director was very knowledgeable and the hotels very comfortable. The first hotel in Toronto was perfectly located and had all the amenities except for a laundry read more which was a little disappointing as I had already travelled prior to joining the tour. I would have liked breakfast included but thats a small thing. I would travel with Cosmos again.

Great trip - thanks Kayla. Little disappointed wirh Air Canada business class, very squeezy, but everything including coach, tour guide, Rocky Mountaineer, Holland America were all great. Hotels fine, free time good, Cosmos 3 stars.

Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise

This tour " Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer and Alaskan Cruise" with Cosmos through Global Journeys was truly wonderful . The itinerary was perfect and well paced and the tour director was fantastic. Every destination was full of stunning scenery whether it was from the Rocky mountaineer train , from the coach, on a gondola or chairlift, read more in the resort towns, from a look out , from a boat or a cruise ship , from a raft or from a helicopter and even from an ice explorer on a glacier and from a suspension bridge! This scenery included snow capped picturesque mountains, magnificent glaciers, beautiful mirrored lakes, rivers, and bays, lush forests and waterfalls, spectacular gardens, beautiful valleys, sunsets and ocean as well as exciting wildlife such as bears, eagles, otters, seals, sea lions, elk, deer and whales. An epic trip ! Thank you.

Absolutely loved the Calgary Stampede. Tour was great and the Holland America cruise was wonderful as was everything else. Had a wonderful time.

Great tour with majestic scenery. Days filled with sightseeing. Saw lots of wildlife, Elk, deer, bighorn sheep, and a Black Bear as well. Amazing tour director and bus driver. Accommodations were ok considering limited availability in some of the places. I think the breakfasts were not up to par and not comparable to what you get when traveling in Europe.
We cannot say enough, good about global journeys! Our tour guide Olvind, and driver”Magic” were totally awesome. The knowledge and the personal stories that were shared in the tight corners and hairpin turns that were made! Just very thankful we were in the hands of these two great guys. We had beautiful weather, which I understand is not always happening, read more which also helped of course. But they made the trip just just lovely. This was our trip we had on our bucket list for many years and we’re fortunate enough to be able to do it. So thankful we were able to hook up with your tour of Norway.

Our trip from mid June to mid July was a great period to travel with perfect weather and fascinating sights and locations. Our tour guide Dan was outstanding with his knowledge of history and geography and a great personality. Our coach driver Paul was exceptional, handling narrow countryside roads with care and skill. Accommodation and food included read more were excellent and the extra excursions were a bonus. Thanks to Grace for helping us book the holiday. Highly recommend.
This was my first Globus journey and I feel that we were so lucky! First of all Luis our tour director was so fun and had so much knowledge to share with us. That was a great personality combo! Second our bus driver, Joel was a master behind the wheel!! Third we had a small group of 29 who ranged in age from 10 to 81 … who I now call my friends. I read more can’t wait to make another reservation. And PS…I was one of the 81 year olds!

We have just completed the 17 day Portugal, Spain and Morocco tour with tour director Miguel (Portuguese). What a fantastic tour. All local tour guides were special, however the the local guide of Morocco (for 6 days) was 'Moh' and he had extensive knowledge but was intense in his sales pitch for each stop, his disrespect when an incident occurred with read more an elderly female passenger (fell whilst utilising the bathrooms), his ongoing repeated sales advertisements (inappropriate). Also the accommodation of the 'Imperial Hotel' at Rabat was definitely below forecast ratings and was actually uncomfortable. In all the tour director was amazing and kept everyone entertained, great humour, honesty, compassion and engaging throughout the 17 days. I would have given this tour '5 stars' except for the local Moroccan tour guide. The sights are amazing and I would recommend this tour.
