At Exodus, we love adventure travel and always have. Discovering countries, cultures, environments, cities, mountain ranges, deserts, coasts and jungles; more exploring this amazing planet we all live on. We know what makes you tick when it comes to holidays. It’s a desire shared by so many others. A yearning to visit new places and come home with a real sense of what they’re all about. This means delving into local traditions, cultures, cuisine, lifestyles – anything that contributes to its unique identity. At the same time, we always remember that we are only guests. So we travel courteously and respectfully, in smaller groups to minimise our impact, to ensure that every Exodus holiday is a beneficial experience for everyone involved.
Topdeck's origin story was small group touring. It was 14 absolute adventurers who were fun and spirited and ready to go out there and see everything. more At the end of the 90's and into the 2000's, Topdeck moved to large coaches and now we're returning to or roots. Our travellers don’t see bigger groups as ‘more social’ -they want to connect quickly, with like-minded people, in a way that feels less overwhelming and less intrusive.
Small group touring unlocks up so many opportunities. We can now get into local tavernas or hole-in-the-wall restaurants, sit family-style, and build that cultural connection. We can run small optional expereinces and secure entry to highlights like the Alhambra much more easily than with a large coach. It makes each experience more immersive and flexible.
What’s changed is the trip itself: better choice of centrally located accommodation, richer in-destination experiences, and more inclusivity.

Entire trip was filled with highlights. I have no negative comments. All the places we stayed were great. Director and driver were top notch. Best experience and fab memories of this tour will be embedded in our hearts forever. It was a special surprise for hubby's milestone bday..and it exceeded my expectations. Learned a lot but a good balance of read more everything (talking and quiet time and jokes and great video clips/games). Daniel is a pro!
AAT Kings itinerary for this outback tour was thoughtfully planned. There were many opportunities to learn about Aboriginal culture and view spectacular scenery. We enjoyed getting to know our fellow travellers. Having some evenings free to dine without the group was appreciated. Highlights included "Under a Desert Moon", Field of Light Sunrise and read more Uluru Barbecue with star gazing. Walks along the creek bed at Kings Canyon, Kata Tjuta exploration, around base of Uluru and at Simpsons Gap provided ample photo opportunities. Accommodation at the three resorts was spacious and meals high quality.
Bus drivers/tour guides all knowledgeable. Perfect weather in early June for travel with warm days and no rain.

A wonderful trip. Coral Bay, Ningaloo Reef, Horizontal Falls to the Bungle Bungles were some of our favourites. Dave and Macca lead us through the various areas with comprehensive knowledge and commentary. Costsaver changes a bit disappointing

We liked the more flexible nature of the Costsaver tour with options to join additional activities or arrange our own time. A couple of the hotels were disappointing and although not an inclusion many of the guests would have liked the hotel to be close enough to facilities to provide for breakfast. In Vancouver Island the hotel provided a breakfast read more room but we were not allowed to enter even to purchase a snack. Moving the hotel to Canmore when we were told we would stay in Banff was very disappointing we wouldn't have chosen this tour had we known at the time of booking. Bus and tour guide were very good. The new app for booking additional activities was always showing full when it wasnt. Needs work to be more dynamic.

We decided to do the road trip instead of the train, and it was terrific. Great tour guide, good hotels and going to great lakes with snow most of the way! The train would have not gotten to the places we saw - lakes, snow, great hotels & restaurants too.

We have had a great time, covering a big distance from Mexico city to Playa Del Carmen. We have has a deep dive into mexoamerican culture, which was amazing. We also enjoyed their arts and crafts. Local food is so delicious! There were several long days, and windy road didn’t make it easy, especially in a 12 seater van. But our fellow travellers companionship read more did make our trip much more enjoyable.
