Looking for a career in travel? Or are you well seasoned already and looking to get your career back on track post COVID?

Well we’re excited to have 2 new positions available for enthusiastic travel advisors to join our team in Noosa. Whether you’re experienced or new to the industry, both travel advisor roles will provide you with plenty of learning opportunities and travel experiences in a relaxed casual environment.

Global Journeys is an award winning online travel agency and this is your opportunity to shift your traditional travel advisory skills into the OTA space. You’ll need be quick off the mark with your ability to learn new systems and skills, and have a desire to learn everything there is to know about touring, river cruising & ocean cruising. If you’re new to travel then our team will be there to support you.

Both roles require someone who is confident, driven to go the extra mile for our clients and has a real passion for travel.

What will you do?
  • Selling and booking tours & cruises for enquiring travellers via email and inbound calls
  • You’ll look after your clients from their very first email until they return home and plan their next journey
  • We’re Australia’s leading agency specialising in multi-day touring, river cruises and cruise holidays
  • You'll use our custom reservation system for quoting and Amadeus for booking flights
  • You'll use your knowledge and experience to enhance our customer's booking experience and make the best possible recommendations
  • You'll take pride in keeping your product and brand knowledge up to date
  • You’ll join our small team of award winning travel advisors in the heart of Noosa Junction
What we are looking for?
  • Locally based (comfortably commutable to Noosa)
  • A winning attitude, enthusiasm with a desire to always keep learning
  • A very high standard of communication, both written and verbal
  • Customer focused with a desire to provide outstanding service
  • Ability to pick up systems and technology quickly and confidently
  • A sense of humour that can deal with our office banter
If you’re applying for the role that requires existing experience then we are also looking for…
  • Travel agency experience (min two years)
  • Good level of Amadeus (or similar GDS) experience
  • Excellent supplier and cruise line industry knowledge
  • Someone who can adapt quickly and easily and who is not afraid of change
If you’re new to the industry then we are also looking for….
  • Something that tells us that you want to be enthusiastic contributor to the travel industry.
  • The successful candidate is likely to have obtained a Travel Cert/Diploma or similar
