Well we’re excited to have 2 new positions available for enthusiastic travel advisors to join our team in Noosa. Whether you’re experienced or new to the industry, both travel advisor roles will provide you with plenty of learning opportunities and travel experiences in a relaxed casual environment.

Global Journeys is an award winning online travel agency and this is your opportunity to shift your traditional travel advisory skills into the OTA space. You’ll need be quick off the mark with your ability to learn new systems and skills, and have a desire to learn everything there is to know about touring, river cruising & ocean cruising. If you’re new to travel then our team will be there to support you.

Both roles require someone who is confident, driven to go the extra mile for our clients and has a real passion for travel.

What will you do?
  • Selling and booking tours & cruises for enquiring travellers via email and inbound calls
  • You’ll look after your clients from their very first email until they return home and plan their next journey
  • We’re Australia’s leading agency specialising in multi-day touring, river cruises and cruise holidays
  • You'll use our custom reservation system for quoting and Amadeus for booking flights
  • You'll use your knowledge and experience to enhance our customer's booking experience and make the best possible recommendations
  • You'll take pride in keeping your product and brand knowledge up to date
  • You’ll join our small team of award winning travel advisors in the heart of Noosa Junction
What we are looking for?
  • Locally based (comfortably commutable to Noosa)

If you’re applying for the role that requires existing experience then we are also looking for…
  • Travel agency experience (min two years)
  • Good level of Amadeus (or similar GDS) experience
  • Excellent supplier and cruise line industry knowledge
  • Someone who can adapt quickly and easily and who is not afraid of change
If you’re new to the industry then we are also looking for….
  • Something that tells us that you want to be enthusiastic contributor to the travel industry.
  • The successful candidate is likely to have obtained a Travel Cert/Diploma or similar

Junior Web Content Editor Closed

We are looking for a junior web content editor to work in our Noosa office, to help the existing IT team maintain our website. This is full time role where you will work in a fun, fast paced and dynamic team environment and you'll be encouraged to take ownership of your work and will have the opportunity to learn new skills as you go.

Skills and experience
  • Bachelor Degree (in IT or Business or similar) or TAFE Qualified in IT
  • No industry experience necessary - graduates welcome
  • Advanced spreadsheeting skills
  • Image manipulation software (eg. Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator or similar)
What will you do?
  • Content Creation: Adding & updating travel itineraries, pricing, specials and media
  • Spreadsheet manipulation & updates
  • Reporting directly to our Senior Web Content Editor
  • Working closely with the IT team on feature requests, data feeds and technical fixes/changes
  • Image optimisation and creation
  • Ad-hoc optimisation, content creation and recommendations.

PR & Marketing Manager Closed

The role
  • In this position, you will be working as part of an enthusiastic and committed team and will be the key person responsible for creating and executing the company's overall PR and marketing strategy for our brand.
  • A new position, you'll be rolling out initiatives to build brand awareness and increase sales across multiple channels including our retail partners, print and digital marketing which includes social media.
  • We are looking for an individual who has solid marketing experience, exceptional organisational skills and applies a well-balanced mix of strategy, creativity and analytical thinking to all tasks at hand.
  • Reporting directly to the MD, and currently responsible for the Graphic Designer & Marketing & Content Specialist (positions available below) you will have the chance to really make a difference and make the role your own.
  • This is a hands-on role.
Your experience
  • Degree in Marketing or other relevant qualifications as a minimum
  • 3+ years previous experience in marketing
  • Experience in marketing and advertising across all platforms (e.g. print, digital, social, multimedia etc.)
  • Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but this position is open to those looking to take the next step in their career progression into Management
  • Managing and hands-on development and design of advertising and marketing material e.g. print and digital advertising, EDMs & online marketing using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Managing and planning, monitoring and updating business social media sites providing clear and consistent messaging and ensuring consistency of brand
  • Collaborating with retail partners to create design and print solutions

We are looking for a highly creative Graphic & Web Designer to work in our Noosa office, to help drive awareness of our existence in Australia & New Zealand.

Like the rest of the positions available at Global Journeys, this is full time role where you will work in a fun, fast paced and dynamic team environment where you will be encouraged to take ownership of your work and will have the opportunity to learn new skills as you go.

The role
  • Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you'll be working on varied number of projects at any one time. From newspaper & magazine layouts, EDM layouts, infographics, promotional materials and of course the myriad of design projects related to our online presence.
  • You will be responsible for taking initial concepts through the development and production process.
  • Collaborating with our suppliers to create design and print solutions
Your experience
  • This position will ultimately suit someone who has a minimum of 3 years graphic and web design experience
  • Proven skills in graphic design & web design required (if web design skills are not great then we'll still consider candidates that have fantastic proven offline experience)
  • Ability or experience in designing across all platforms (e.g. print, digital, social, multimedia etc.)
  • Be proficient in the Adobe CC suite applications: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
  • Be fluent in HTML & CSS, and preferably PHP
  • Skills in video production would be advantageous

  • Work alongside Operations & our IT team to ensure content is optimised for SEO and relevance
  • Analyse and understand competitor strategies, testing new ideas for optimising performance
