While new to the Australian market in 2017, Collette have actually been operating since 1918. Offering coach touring and small group explorations around the world, you won't find too many Aussies and Kiwis on their trips yet, but clients of ours that haven taken the plunge over the last season have come back with very positive reviews. Collette is very popular in the US and now has offices and support in Australia, Canada and the UK too. Collette market their trips as 4 star accommodation with 5 star service and inclusions - so if that sounds like your cup of tea, then how about this - Collette also includes a roundtrip home to airport chauffeur service for those within a 40km radius of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Darwin, Cairns and Hobart airports.
Upmarket coach touring, with 4.5+ star accommodation, maximum group sizes of 40 on a full size coach and more leisurely paced touring itineraries. The pricing of Insight's trips tends to attract travellers in their 60's and 70's. If you're tall, then you should seriously consider Insight, as their coaches been reconfigured to allow up to twice as much legroom as on a standard coach. Insight have recently launched trips through South America, and expanded their range of Gold Luxury Vacations, where you can expect the ultimate in luxury and refinement.We find that the feedback we get back from past clients is sometimes a little critical, and we feel this is because of the very high standard some of our clients are expecting due to Insight's positioning in the market. On every multi-day journey, there will always be little annoyances, but as a whole package the team here definitely recommend Insight worthy of your consideration. If you've travelled with any of its sister brands like AAT Kings, Trafalgar or Uniworld further savings are available.

This was such a great tour. The accommodation was excellent with a friendly and cultural feel. Lots of great meal inclusions which was a surprise. The included activities were varied and fun. This was really due to the tour guide, bus driver, local guides and of course our fellow passengers. I would recommend this tour in a heartbeat!
The whole trip to Norway was one long highlight. There was so much to see and do that we were happily exhausted at the end of each day. We have never taken so many photos. Everywhere you look is another photo opportunity. The food was too good.
The highlights of the trip for me were the spectacular mountain scenery of Oregon, the scenic journey down the coast from Newport, the jetboat ride along the Rogue River, and the walk through the amazing Redwoods at Humbolt Redwoods State Park, California. Our guide could not have been more well-informed and helpful. Well done Janice. Ditto Tim our driver. As a suggestion, it would be helpful to know before departure that only a quite small carry-on is possible on the coach. A standard airline carry-on is too large. Luckily I had a small backpack with me for daily needs. It was great that we could charge phones onboard.

Unfortunately our tour in Innsbruck had a change of hotels in the middle of the tour on our free day and placed us on the outskirts of town due to apparently overbooking of hotel. There was nothing around to see or eat. Even though they compensated with the odd meal it was really repetitive. Pancakes, soup, pork etc becomes unbearable to eat after 5 ...read more days. I would not have booked this if I knew of changes as it defeated the purpose of the tour itinerary.
Then this tour was a tour within a tour there where 38 people booked as a group then there where 12 extras. So it was all about the others and we felt left out. I would not recommend this tour I could have done better by myself and cheaper and stayed in the heart of town as the brochure stated. The only upside was the change of the hotel in Munich. That was very nice and in a great position for our further travels. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable but some people walked all over him by not showing up on time and walking off. Finally it was a lot of money for what it was, thanks.

I do not normally travel with guided tours but decided to try it for this trip due to lack of planning time. This was such a good experience! Tracey with Global Journeys was very helpful in guiding us through our booking process and helping us prepare for the trip. Our tour group only had 19 people in it, and we were all a little family by the end of our 2 weeks together. The hotels were very nice, the food was good, and the wildlife was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone considering it!
Perfect small group tour of 10 people covering Dublin, Belfast, Derry, Donegal, Eniskillen, Galway, Killarney, Kilkenny and lots in between. Egypt was breathtaking and Insight only made it better. Our guide, Wael (an Egyptologist) was engaging and a joy to listen to. The earpieces we used were not the cheap ones and we never lost connection. We had a great time on this holiday trip. The pace was good and well organized. The scenic drive along the country roads is incredibly scenic with stunning views of the snowcapped Swiss Alps, romantic lakes, waterfalls, glaciers, vineyards, green pastures, old towns, and charming hillside villages. On the second day, we had truly a wonderful experience ...read more getting up to the summit of Mount Stanserhorn aboard an open top funicular cable car and the opportunity to take great photo shots of the wonderful mountain scenery. Among the stunningly snowcapped Swiss Alps, the iconic Matterhorn and the world famous Eiger Mountain offer spectacular views and lifetime experiences. Overall, this was a memorable holiday, complete with exciting train rides, cable cars, luxury cruise of Lake Geneva and spacious touring coach on our drive covering most of the major Swiss cities. We commenced our 14-day trip on 29/08 and had expected the weather to be cool and clear but sadly most of the days were hot and sunny.
A great group of travellers. 13 of us on a 48 seater bus so we all had a window seat! Our tour guide Scott was very well organised, and knew the history of the countries. Nothing was a bother. We enjoyed the tour, our first with Insight Vacations in Canada and America. I feel that Insight Vacations standards have dropped - not totally but no airport pick up or drop off's, then a hotel change at the end. We paid months earlier, then came the notification about the change from a $700 night hotel to a $168 night hotel.
