While new to the Australian market in 2017, Collette have actually been operating since 1918. Offering coach touring and small group explorations around the world, you won't find too many Aussies and Kiwis on their trips yet, but clients of ours that haven taken the plunge over the last season have come back with very positive reviews. Collette is very popular in the US and now has offices and support in Australia, Canada and the UK too. Collette market their trips as 4 star accommodation with 5 star service and inclusions - so if that sounds like your cup of tea, then how about this - Collette also includes a roundtrip home to airport chauffeur service for those within a 40km radius of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Darwin, Cairns and Hobart airports.
Upmarket coach touring, with 4.5+ star accommodation, maximum group sizes of 40 on a full size coach and more leisurely paced touring itineraries. The pricing of Insight's trips tends to attract travellers in their 60's and 70's. If you're tall, then you should seriously consider Insight, as their coaches been reconfigured to allow up to twice as much legroom as on a standard coach. Insight have recently launched trips through South America, and expanded their range of Gold Luxury Vacations, where you can expect the ultimate in luxury and refinement.We find that the feedback we get back from past clients is sometimes a little critical, and we feel this is because of the very high standard some of our clients are expecting due to Insight's positioning in the market. On every multi-day journey, there will always be little annoyances, but as a whole package the team here definitely recommend Insight worthy of your consideration. If you've travelled with any of its sister brands like AAT Kings, Trafalgar or Uniworld further savings are available.

Exploring South Africa, Victoria Falls & Botswana

We felt very safe and well managed on our trip to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Our only disappointment was the lack of animals, in particular in Pilanesburg N Park. Having 5 safaris there was too many for such a poorly maintained road system. We all struggled with how rough the tracks were and the lack of animal sightings didn't help. The lodge read more was also not to our taste - too snooty. The Wallow Lodge and Chobi lodge were much better for our tastes. I will go back and do at least one more safari trip but will research the parks being offered in much greater detail before committing.
It was an awesome trip to Italy. I would highly recommend this tour, as we were able to do and see a lot. The tour guides were awesome throughout the trip, and our tour manager was just as great as well. It is very hard to choose a highlight during the trip because every place is very unique in its own way. I would tour with Collette again, as they made the trip super easy!!

Just got back from the most incredible trip through Tuscany and Umbria with Collette, and I honestly can’t stop smiling! Everything about this tour was fantastic — the places we visited, the food, the people, and the whole vibe. I was travelling solo, but it didn’t feel that way for long. There was such a great mix of people, and by the end of the trip, read more we all felt like family. Our tour manager was amazing — super organized, fun, and full of great stories and local knowledge.
The itinerary was spot on — a perfect balance of sightseeing, relaxing, and soaking up the culture (and the wine!). Huge shoutout to Hannah from Global Journeys for making everything so easy from start to finish. She handled all the details and made sure the whole process was smooth and stress-free. If you’re thinking about visiting Italy, I can’t recommend Collette and Global Journeys enough. Honestly one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had!

Just got back from the Old World Sicily & Malta tour with Collette, and overall it was a fantastic experience! The itinerary was amazing — stunning places, great food, and the perfect mix of sightseeing and downtime. I was travelling solo, but honestly, it never felt that way. There was such a great group of people, and by the end, we all felt like read more family. So many laughs and fun moments along the way! Our tour manager was a really lovely guy, but it was his first tour with Collette, so he was still finding his way a bit. He tried hard (and even used Google a few times to help out, which gave us all a chuckle!). While it wasn’t quite up to the same level as my previous Collette tours, he had a great attitude and was genuinely kind.

She made the whole process so easy from start to finish, handled everything perfectly, and kept me in the loop the whole time. A good tour. Damiano was a good tour director, was very helpful when we got stuck in Milan after our train to Zurich was cancelled due to flooding. Got to Zurich but again missed the first day of the tour. Some hotels were disappointing. The meals together were OK nothing special. Thought we should of had professional guides in some cities instead of read more Damiano being guide. His English is ok but maybe a guide would of been better.
The highlight of this tour was the trip on the Bernina Express. The scenery was 'wow' factor around every corner. The tour was very well organised and ran smoothly. The bus driver, Enzo, was an incredibly careful driver, especially as some of the roads were very high, with difficult bends. The main guide, Dario and local guides were all excellent. read more The hotels were of superior quality. As a suggestion, it would have been preferable to have one less day (3 night stay) in Lake Maggiore and instead stay one night at Lake Como, as we drove straight past and only caught glimpses of the Lake.
The visit to the cheese farm before reaching Lake Maggiore should be reviewed. It was a little disorganised and too long, although in fairness, it was their first time in hosting tours. The conclusion of the tour in Lucerne meant that all passengers had the additional cost of taxis to Zurich, for the flight home, as Lucerne does not have an international airport. Perhaps the tour could have terminated in Zurich, were it commenced.

From the begining to the end, booking, touring Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland, our tour guide, coach driver, hotels, food, Qatar airlines - it was a wonderful experience with no blips.

Our guide, Brad, was amazing. He had such an extensive knowledge of everywhere we went. This was our fifth Insight tour and I would highly recommend them. Our booking with Global was seamless and Hannah was very efficient and helpful. The places we visited were very interesting, I especially enjoyed the dinner river cruise at night in Budapest. The read more Parliament building alone, is worth the effort.
Travelling with Insight Vacations is always enjoyable. More space on the bus, centrally located hotels, great tour director and driver. The only criticism would be that travelling at the back of the bus is really uncomfortable as it is hot, stuffy, noisy and bumpy. Grace, from Global Journeys was really helpful in the booking process.
Had a wonderful time on our Insight tour. Our tour director Anique was so warm and friendly, always ready to help. The bus driver Gennaro always helpful with a smile. We did all the extra excursions and loved every one, so worth it. Even though we were disappointed to miss the first day of the tour because of our plane cancellation in Australia, we read more didn't let that stop us enjoying I ourselves with a great group of travellers from Oz and the US.
This was a spectacular 10-day tour of Poland, from the southern mountains to the northern Baltic Sea. If you're seeking a comfortable way to travel with some adventurous, like-minded folks, this one is highly recommended. Tour guides and local experts offered insights and detail that we would not otherwise have encountered, and that alone hugely enriched read more our experience. Nina at Global Journeys made all of the needed arrangements, leaving us nothing else to do but enjoy this wonderful, worry-free bus tour. Highly recommend.
We had the best time far better than expected which was largely thanks to our guide Remi and driver Gennero so many highlights we enjoyed every moment.
