Bunnik Tours is a family business with a focus on crafting itineraries that really get to the heart of all that a destination has to offer through a balance of organised sightseeing, special local experiences and time for independent exploration. We know that some of the best experiences are when you wander away from the group and make your own discoveries.
In creating our small group tours, we are driven by two guiding principles. First, everything we do is about your experience, which is why we only run tours with a maximum of 20 people – read more that’s less time waiting, more time exploring. Second, when done properly, tourism can be an incredible force for good that generates economic and social benefits in the places we visit.

A family business based in Adelaide, Bunnik made a name for themselves in small group touring through Egypt, and now travel to all corners of the globe. All of their trips include return flights to and from Australia, so take this into account when comparing prices with other small group operators. Bunnik tours have been specifically designed for 'the not too young and not too old' with group sizes set to a maximum of 20, and in Africa even smaller groups of 12. Bunnik trips are currently only offered to Australian residents.
Who travels with Bunnik?
Like-minded Australian travellers who prefer small groups, local experiences and time to explore independently. Solo travellers are welcome on all tours.
What's the age range on a Bunnik tour?
Not too young and not too old.
How many people will we be travelling with?
Most tours have a maximum of 20 guests. Africa tours are capped at 12 and In-Style tours at 16.
I'm a solo-traveler, will your tours suit me?
Yes. Solo travellers are welcome on all tours and travel with the security and social benefits of a small group.

Yes. Solo travellers have their own room and pay a single supplement.
Do you offer room-sharing with other solo travellers?

How would you describe the accommodation on your trips?
Accommodation ranges from well-located hotels to smaller boutique properties and distinctive local stays. In-Style tours use 5-star accommodation.
Are there any extras to pay on top of the tour price shown?
Classic Tours include international and internal flights, transport, accommodation, many meals, entrance fees and tipping, while Short Tours exclude airfares. Optional excursions, some meals and drinks and single supplements cost extra.

Do you use local guides?
Yes. Bunnik Tours uses carefully selected local guides for their destination expertise, with locally based guides included on many itineraries.
How much free time will we have on a Bunnik trip?
All tours include free time for independent exploration, with itineraries designed to balance included sightseeing and local experiences with time to explore on your own.
How fit do we need to be?
A good level of fitness and mobility is required. Travellers must generally be able to walk for 4–5 hours a day at group pace on uneven surfaces, manage stairs and hills, carry their own luggage where necessary and use varied forms of transport without assistance.

Impressed with first tour with Bunnik. Perfect group size of 20 all Australians made it fun. Excellent itinerary managed by terrific tour director Gregor. Meals were excellent & accommodation very good considering days in remote areas. It was the last tour of the season & we were happy with that departure date even though we knew it would rain a bit read more in September but there would be less crowds. We always receive professional, efficient & friendly service from Hannah Perry.

What an amazing trip! Too many highlights to single one out. All of the tour guides were not just very lovely people, but also exceptionally good at their jobs. One glitch was a 24 hour travelling day; up at 4am and to bed at 4am the next day - Arequipa to Lima to Brazil (3 flights). And a recommendataion or two - we extended our stay in Buenos Aires read more to spend some time in the Palermo districts of Soho and Hollywood, then took the ferry to Uruguay - the town of Colonia del Sacramento (Unesco World Heritage site) is stunning and worth a couple of nights stay.

We absolutely loved our South American trip with Bunnik. We travelled with them before and will again. Travelling with small groups enables everyone to get to know their fellow travellers and to make new friends.
Prior to travelling we were a little concerned about how we would cope with the altitude, the amount of steps at Machu Picchu, and the read more heat in the Amazon, as we have some leg and knee issues. We are in our mid 60s and had no trouble managing as did most of our group, many who were older.
The tour director and the local guides had a wealth of knowledge, were very friendly and cheerful, and always willing to assist with any issues. All of the hotels were of a very high standard. We have booked with Global Journeys multiple times and will be using them again for our next trip. They are helpful, friendly and very efficient.

Iceland has so much beauty and Bunnik have have arranged a tour that covered the mail attractions of the island. The tour director and coach driver were fantastic. We recently travelled with Bunnik on a tour through Northern Spain & Portugal. The tour was very good and only a small group of 9 of us. Our Tour leader was great with his guidance, suggestions and able to speak the local language and knowledge of the countries. We had terrific bus drivers as well. All accommodation was clean, comfortable and staff read more helpful when needed. Breakfast at all the accommodation were plentiful and a good variety to suit many nationalities. The places we visited on this tour were lovely and local guides showed us around their town/village with pride and shared their history and stories. Our favourite places were in the Pyrenees mountain region, the lakes, rivers, valleys were beautiful to drive through in Northern Spain. Porto in Portugal was a special favorite as well where the accommodation was along the river with an easy walk if you wanted into the town, our weather was also 99% perfect. Would highly recommend this tour.

Who travels with Wendy Wu?
Predominantly Australian, British and New Zealand travellers who want a more adventurous and immersive experience in a smaller group. Couples, friends and solo travellers all join, with around 20% of group-tour guests generally travelling solo.
What's the age range on a Wendy Wu tour?
Average age range across Wendy Wu group tours is 40 to 65, with younger and older travellers also joining.
How many people will we be travelling with?
Wendy Wu's small group tours have a maximum of 18 travellers and average around 14. Madagascar tours are capped at 12.

Travellers should budget for meals not specified, customary tipping and optional activities. International flights, accommodation, domestic transport, most meals, entrance fees, guides, daily touring and visa fees for Australian passport holders are included.

Yes. Groups of 10 or more generally have a National Escort. Multi-country trips may change National Escorts between countries, while smaller groups may instead be accompanied by local guides.

Yes. English-speaking Local Guides provide specialist destination knowledge alongside the National Escort.

More than on Classic Tours, Go Beyond itineraries deliberately incorporate free time, allowing travellers to explore independently, try local restaurants and experience destinations beyond the organised sightseeing.
How fit do we need to be?
Requirements vary considerably and every tour has a physical rating. Journeys can involve longer walks, remote locations, rough terrain, cycling, altitude and other more active experiences, so travellers should check the individual rating carefully.

A wonderful experience of a country we knew very little about. Exceeded our expectations. Well looked after during our stay, coaches were superb and 4x4m drivers in the Gobi Desert were very experienced and attentive and vehicles were clean at all times. A few issues with communication (language) with our guide however she took great care of us and attended to our every need.

Just returned from an amazing experience with Wendy Wu booked through Global Journeys. The experiences exceeded our expectations. The guides took great care of everyone and were wonderful at meeting everyone's personal needs. We had a 95 year old who had planned the trip with his wife, who sadly passed away a few months prior. A beautiful bunch of read more travellers that looked after him throughout. There were many highlights but the most important reflection of the journey was the diversity of experiences and the support of the local communities especially in Cambodia. It is a tour that is more than about visiting historical sites and temples. The communities we visited expressed their gratitude for Wendy Wu and the impact that the support of these agents is having in their community. We were welcomed into peoples homes where they so willingly shared their skills and daily life with us. So many welcoming smiles from people that have so little.
