Bunnik Tours is a family business with a focus on crafting itineraries that really get to the heart of all that a destination has to offer through a balance of organised sightseeing, special local experiences and time for independent exploration. We know that some of the best experiences are when you wander away from the group and make your own discoveries.
In creating our small group tours, we are driven by two guiding principles. First, everything we do is about your experience, which is why we only run tours with a maximum of 20 people – read more that’s less time waiting, more time exploring. Second, when done properly, tourism can be an incredible force for good that generates economic and social benefits in the places we visit.

A family business based in Adelaide, Bunnik made a name for themselves in small group touring through Egypt, and now travel to all corners of the globe. All of their trips include return flights to and from Australia, so take this into account when comparing prices with other small group operators. Bunnik tours have been specifically designed for 'the not too young and not too old' with group sizes set to a maximum of 20, and in Africa even smaller groups of 12. Bunnik trips are currently only offered to Australian residents.

How many people will we be travelling with?
Most tours have a maximum of 20 guests. Africa tours are capped at 12 and In-Style tours at 16.

Yes. Solo travellers are welcome on all tours and travel with the security and social benefits of a small group.

How would you describe the accommodation on your trips?
Accommodation ranges from well-located hotels to smaller boutique properties and distinctive local stays. In-Style tours use 5-star accommodation.
Are there any extras to pay on top of the tour price shown?
Classic Tours include international and internal flights, transport, accommodation, many meals, entrance fees and tipping, while Short Tours exclude airfares. Optional excursions, some meals and drinks and single supplements cost extra.

Do you use local guides?
Yes. Bunnik Tours uses carefully selected local guides for their destination expertise, with locally based guides included on many itineraries.
How much free time will we have on a Bunnik trip?
All tours include free time for independent exploration, with itineraries designed to balance included sightseeing and local experiences with time to explore on your own.
How fit do we need to be?
A good level of fitness and mobility is required. Travellers must generally be able to walk for 4–5 hours a day at group pace on uneven surfaces, manage stairs and hills, carry their own luggage where necessary and use varied forms of transport without assistance.

The bus was large, brand new and had a water cooler on board. Complimentary wifi and charging ports were also available on the bus. The bus driver (Dushan) and his assistant (Tharindu) also took fantastic care of us throughly the entire journey.
This compact tropical island packs a punch and is definitely worth travelling to, best done ‘in style’. Accommodation standouts were Shangri-La Colombo, Le Grande Galle and Water Garden Sigiriya.
Our tour guide, Charmi, introduced us to a wide variety of Sri Lanka’s culture and history and we read more gained some understanding of life in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan countryside and our adventures in the National Parks were wonderful. Ten out of ten for this trip.

How would you describe the accommodation on your trips?
Go Beyond tours use comfortable hotels together with more distinctive accommodation such as local guesthouses, lodges, camps, ryokans and temple stays where these enhance the destination experience.
Are there any extras to pay on top of the tour price shown?
Travellers should budget for meals not specified, customary tipping and optional activities. International flights, accommodation, domestic transport, most meals, entrance fees, guides, daily touring and visa fees for Australian passport holders are included.
Do you have the same guide throughout the trip?
Yes. Groups of 10 or more generally have a National Escort. Multi-country trips may change National Escorts between countries, while smaller groups may instead be accompanied by local guides.
Do you use local guides?
Yes. English-speaking Local Guides provide specialist destination knowledge alongside the National Escort.

More than on Classic Tours, Go Beyond itineraries deliberately incorporate free time, allowing travellers to explore independently, try local restaurants and experience destinations beyond the organised sightseeing.
How fit do we need to be?
Requirements vary considerably and every tour has a physical rating. Journeys can involve longer walks, remote locations, rough terrain, cycling, altitude and other more active experiences, so travellers should check the individual rating carefully.

Great group of 17: 6 Australians, 2 Americans and 9 English. There were 3 other female solo travellers. We all travelled well together. China was surprisingly clean. Trains and domestic flights were all ok. Hotels very good: all rooms were spacious, had a mini fridge, kettle, very good hot showers, comfy beds and even an electric blanket in Lijiang which I used! I would thoroughly recommend Wendy Wu Tours and would travel with them again in Asia.
