Globus is part of the Globus Family of Brands, which also includes Cosmos and Avalon Waterways and are always popular with our clients. Globus offer premium guided touring experiences all over the world, catering mainly for the 55+ market - but like most operators they are open to all ages. Along with their classic touring itineraries, Globus also have a range of popular winter escapes, small group discoveries and range of independent trips for those that like a bit more freedom to do their own thing.
The majority if their trips are centred on Europe, Canada and the USA where they provide 4 to 4.5 star accommodation, read more luxury coaches, plenty of meals & inclusions.
Globus's clasic coach tours host a maximum of 45 guests per trip (slightly less that the industry standard of around 50) and their small group trips host between 18 and 24 travellers. Average group sizes are often lower than those maximums, based on the destination you're exploring and the time of year you're travelling.

Upmarket coach touring, with 4.5+ star accommodation, maximum group sizes of 40 on a full size coach and more leisurely paced touring itineraries. The pricing of Insight's trips tends to attract travellers in their 60's and 70's. If you're tall, then you should seriously consider Insight, as their coaches been reconfigured to allow up to twice as much legroom as on a standard coach. Insight have recently launched trips through South America, and expanded their range of Gold Luxury Vacations, where you can expect the ultimate in luxury and refinement.
We find that the feedback we get back from past clients is sometimes a little critical, and read more we feel this is because of the very high standard some of our clients are expecting due to Insight's positioning in the market. On every multi-day journey, there will always be little annoyances, but as a whole package the team here definitely recommend Insight worthy of your consideration. If you've travelled with any of its sister brands like AAT Kings, Trafalgar or Uniworld further savings are available.

Our accommodation ranges from boutique and heritage hotels to countryside retreats and contemporary properties, placing you in the heart of a city, close to key sights or amid beautiful natural surroundings. Each stay adds to your experience of the destination.
You’ll need to account for additional meals and drinks not listed in your itinerary, and any Optional Experiences you choose. We include certain tips, including hotel porterage and service for included meals, but some gratuities remain at your discretion.
Yes. Our dedicated Travel Director accompanies you throughout your tour, taking care of the details and sharing destination knowledge and recommendations along the way.
Yes. We work with knowledgeable Local Experts who bring destinations to life through their personal insights, stories and specialist knowledge. They join us for selected sightseeing visits and experiences, complementing the expertise and support of your dedicated Travel Director.
We balance included sightseeing and experiences with free time to relax or explore independently, including at least one day with a relaxed start. The amount of free time varies by itinerary, and you can personalise your journey further with Optional Experiences and Insight Choice, choosing between selected activities to suit your interests.
The level of fitness you’ll need depends on your chosen tour. We give each itinerary an Activity Level to help you decide: Leisurely tours typically involve around 1.6–3.2 km of walking per day on mostly flat surfaces with some stairs; Balanced tours involve around 1.6–4.8 km, sometimes over cobblestones, uneven ground and stairs; and Dynamic tours can involve 6.4 km or more on some days, including steep hills.
