Globus Tours

Globus is an international company. As such, you will be travelling with like-minded enthusiasts from countries as diverse as the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, as well as Europe and Asia regions. The average number of people on a Globus tour is 36, and we limit the number of tour members on our tours to a maximum of 44. Smaller groups of this size allow you more space, comfort and legroom.

Globus provide e-documents (electronic docs) as an eco-friendly alternative to printed travel documents to strengthen their commitment to environmental sustainability. Three to four weeks prior to take off (once full payment and emergency contacts have been received) we will email through your documents. 

Single rooms cost extra and are often quite small. Globus do not take reservations on a "share" basis. Sidestep the single room supplement by traveling with a friend - it's less expensive and much more fun.

Gratuities are not included in the trip price and are discretionary. Globus offers you the ability to pre-pay your Tour Director and Driver gratuities before departure in select destinations. A base per-person gratuity rate is calculated for each holiday in North America, South America, Africa, and Asia to conveniently provide gratuities for the Tour Director and Driver. Local Guides and other personnel, however, are not covered in this amount. You can pre-purchase gratuities at the time of booking or they can be added after you've already booked up until the final payment due date.

Note: Tips to Local Guides are included in pre-paid gratuities in South America. Europe, Australia and New Zealand tours are not eligible for pre-paid gratuities, but you are welcome to offer tips directly on tour.

The good news is that you’ll rarely have to lift your luggage yourself, because we make sure they are safely moved from the coach to your room. Just remember: our coaches (and often your airline carrier) limit passengers to one 22kg suitcase per person.

Your airline may also have other restrictions relating to the  size of luggage. A good rule of thumb is suitcases with a maximum size of 76 x 53 x 28cm and 30 x 28 x 14cm for hand luggage. Don’t forget the tags – even on hand luggage – so they can always find their way home.

Dial it up, or dial it down as much or as little as you like. Globus cover the ‘must-see’ places, leaving you with the time to solo, or be guided by a local legend on an optional excursion. Optional excursions can be booked 4 - 90 days prior to your tour start date. We will provide you with more details once your booking is confirmed.

While you’re out exploring, Globus don’t want you to miss a beat – either on your tour or from home. Globus coaches have free Wi-Fi, and most hotels offer free Wi-Fi connection in the lobby. When driving through some regions, which don’t support Wi-Fi, it’s an invitation to recline and relax – or review the recent memories you’ve captured on your camera.

Airport transfers can be added to your reservation with Globus at an additional cost. Airport transfers for Globus are often group transfers operated by motorcoach and may have pre-set departures times.  Missed transfers are non-refundable. Transfers are not provided in North America.
