* For operational reasons, schedule changes for the Rome program cannot be excluded

TOUR HIGHLIGHT - LEGENDARY LIVES: Stand in awe and wonder amid one of mankind's greatest artistic achievements in the Sistine Chapel. Hear how in 1508, a young Michelangelo was commissioned by Pope Julius II to decorate the chapel's ceiling - a request not welcomed by the 33-year-old sculptor. Michelangelo's 4-year project was indeed one of physical pain and psychological distress, while painting from scaffolds high above the sanctuary floor. Nevertheless, he created what is considered the most famous ceiling in the world, depicting the Creation of Adam in striking fresco style.

We are lucky to have Hannah Campbell who has already organised 3 consecutive years of our overseas holidays. She is great and always replies to emails promptly and patiently.

For the tour in Italy, there was a huge number of tourists at every hot destination so the long waiting lines and big crowds would sometimes get on our nerves, but it indicates that you are visiting the most important venues. The Italian tour guide, “Fabulous”, this is the name our fellow travellers called him. He organised every step based on the brochure.
Absolutely wonderful!   6 , New Zealand, Jul 2016
We booked the Italian Treasures tour as it featured the top locations and historical sites ie. Rome, Vatican, Cinque Terra, Venice & Assisi. Our travel period was peak time in Italy, summer holidays, and would have been difficult without the tour. We where fortunate to have a fantastic tour guide, Giampero Filadoro, and made some good friends ...read more with others on the tour. The tour was well organised and we did not experience any problems. It is difficult to list one highlight as all of Italy is beautiful. Venice was like a movie set! St Marks Square at night with the music and people is amazing. Cinque Terra is not to be missed . We opted for all excursions and that proved a good choice. Thank you to Leanne at Global Journeys for arranging a wonderful, stress free holiday. We will be using Global journeys for future bookings.
The tour was wonderful and we had a fantastic Tour guide 8 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2015
The tour was wonderful and we were very lucky to have a fantastic Tour guide, Aida, who was very passionate about Italian culture and Italian food. The coach driver, Rocco, was excellent and we felt very safe at all times. The highlights were the Cinque Terre boat excursion, the visit to Verona with the arena, Juliet's balcony and a lovely fountain ...read more plus Assisi and of course Venice! The hotel in Venice, Palazzo Selvadego, was right next to St Mark's square allowing direct access to the square at night to listen to the lovely jazz music plus easy access in the morning to take great photos before all the tourist crowds arrive. The hotel breakfast was served in The Monaco Grand Hotel closeby which was directly on the waterfront with spectacular views. The Hotel Giotto in Assisi had a lovely terrace with beautiful views in the day plus lovely sparkling lights in the distance at night. The Global Journeys website was wonderful for comparing the different tours of Italy with the other companies. The tour documents arrived in the mail six weeks before the tour and emails were answered quickly. I have already booked another tour with Global Journeys as the discounts are fantastic.
Thank you for a great holiday 3 , Australia, Jun 2013
Only 29 on our tour was a great plus - very comfortable bus and having wifi was great. Our tour guide was a lovely lady with a lot of knowledge and very well organised. Our only other disappointment was the accommodation at Assisi was very poor with very uncomfortable beds (complaint made by many at breakfast) and our bedroom faced the main road into the old city hence we did not sleep very well. All other accommodation was excellent and the optional activities were also good fun. We would highly recommend Globus tours to any of our friends. Thank you for a great holiday.
I would recommend this coach tour! 2 , Australia, May 2013
The Tour Italian Treasures was great, most places visited were excellent with a couple maybe could have bypassed. I had particularly wanted to go on the Italian Treasures tour on the 12th April and after enquiring through several agencies was told it was booked out. Fortunately I came across Global Journeys on the Net and Yvonne handled my enquiry professionally and efficiently. She was able to ...read more get me on the tour! During the ten days we were all looked after so well by the tour guide and even the driver of the bus. The itinerary was not too rushed and we had ample time for sightseeing and retail therapy. The tour guide was exceptional in explaining the history of the places we visited. I loved the tour and had a lot of fun and a great time as we all got on so well. I was a little hesitant at the thought of travelling on my own but all fears vanished as soon as I commenced the tour. I can't wait to book my next trip with Global Journeys. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wishing to see Italy.
