Near perfect Scandinavia 0 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2025
Near perfect. Tour Director (and Driver) were the most organised we have experienced. Spectacular countryside and enchanting historical cities and towns. Just be prepared to pay a lot for any snack or coffee or meal that you buy.
Our tour had a wide range of ages, some of whom had mobility issues, but his not uncommon and their needs were accommodated read more with minimal impact on the others. Two other things worth mentioning: English is the second language in Scandinavia and credit cards are accepted everywhere, so long as you have a functional PIN.
Trip: Spectacular Scandinavia & its Fjords (E941) Date: 28 Aug 2022   1 , Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Aug 2022
Overall, booking our holiday through Global Journeys was very smooth going, thanks to the good service extended by Hannah Campbell. We have had a wonderful time travelling with Insight Vacations, interacting with so many friendly nationalities across the globe. The Itinerary was however a bit tight and tiring after journeying the long hours on the road. read more Hotel rooms were relatively small. Time spent in Copenhagen was adequate. Could have another night in Stockholm and Oslo as arrival was late in the evening. Spectacular scenery across Norway. Optional experiences were well selected but bit pricy. Towns like Bergen and Geiranger was exceptionally scenic and should include additional night stay.
Memorable tour of Scandinavia 1 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2019
The tour was well organised and our tour director and driver were superb. The highlights of the tour were the Norwegian fjords. Accommodation was satisfactory however some hotels were not up to the standard we have previously experienced with Insight Vacations. Scandinavian countries are cashless - we used only credit cards. The weather varied a lot: read more Copenhagen and Oslo were hot, the rest unseasonably cold. Our fellow travellers were mostly from USA and Australia/New Zealand and we got along very well. The optional tours were well attended. The optional tours: The Troll's Road and Fjord at Dalsnibba should have been included at no extra cost. Many thanks to Hannah from Global Journeys.
Wonderful Scandinavia   3 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2019
Thank you Jemma and Global Journeys for arranging the tour of Scandinavia for me with Insight. Global advertised the tour dates before they were available on the other web sites so I was able to get in early and secure my spot. Insight are a very good operator and took it from there. Accommodation and optional tours were all brilliant and Scandinavia read more put on the best show. It was a full coach of people from Australia, NZ, USA, Canada and a family from Indonesia. Everyone was made to feel welcome by Joey, our tour director. An excellent adventure!
Worry free holiday!   3 , NSW, Australia, May 2018
The weather in Scandinavia was fantastic; so good that it probably would never be repeated. To be in Bergen on Norwegian National Day (17 May) was a highlight and something that I would recommend to anyone travelling to this area. Copenhagen is a dynamic and interesting city - very different to Australia.
Fabulous Holiday to Scandinavia and the Fjords of Norway 6 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2017
We have a wonderful Insight Tour Experience, travelling through Denmark, Sweden and then onto Norway and the Fjords. The tour guide and tour driver and local guides made sure we had a unique experience and learnt much about the local culture and natural aspects of the country visits. The unique experiences at the various stops and additional photo opportunities read more made the journey so enjoyable, helped by the humour of the Driver and The Tour Guide. Also, thanks to Hannah at Global Journeys for making our booking experience so delightful, her follow up was always great and timely. What a great holiday.
Wonderful trip through Scandinavia   1 , VIC, Australia, Aug 2017
Wonderful trip through Scandinavia' s Historical Capitals, countryside and magnificent mountains and fjords.

Highlights for us were Copenhagen, Stockholm and Bergen then the picturesque snow capped mountains and the exciting drives up and down the bending mountain roads in the hands of a very experienced driver.
Thank you Tracey! 1 , NSW, Australia, May 2017
We have had the pleasure of Tracey supporting our travels through Global Journeys over the last few years. Tracey is very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and always considerate. She makes it easy for organising our travel and we hope she can support our future travel plans.
Stunning Scandanavia 11 , WA, Australia, Jul 2016
This is the second time we have travelled with Insight and we were not disappointed. In a sense we were lucky as we only had 23 in our tour group, 7 from Australia, 2 from India and the remainder American. Everyone was punctual, happy and we enjoyed each other's company. No-one was obnoxious, loud or difficult which is a rarity in this day and age. read more I would not normally choose to travel at peak time and in summer and the only negative was that the hotel in Copenhagan did not have air conditioned rooms so it was warm during the night but the windows opened which helped with the flow of air. Michael our Tour Director was a legend and made the trip even more memorable with his calm but professional demeanour. Nothing was too much trouble and along the way he gave us extra surprises above what was included in the tour. Our coach drive Lazslo also did an amazing job driving at times the very narrow roads especially along the Troll road from Gieranger in Norway. We felt completely safe in his hands and the coach was kept very clean and he always had a smile on his face each day.

he scenery was breathtaking especially in Norway but allow extra spending money for eating out as this is very costly in Scandanavia and alchohol especially in Norway is expensive. I also took a double bed sheet with me as all the rooms have duvets with covers and no top sheet so if you like to have a cover on at night the sheet provided enough warmth without being too hot especially travelling in the middle of summer. I also took an immerser to make a cup of tea in the room as unlike Australia there were no kettles in some of the hotels and this especially applied to Norway.

Overall we had an amazing time, met wonderful people and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of Scandanavia. I would not hesitate to travel with Insight again especially if we had Michael as our Tour Director and Lazslo driving the coach!
Spectacular indeed. 8 , NSW, Australia, May 2016
We have travelled with Insight before and have always enjoyed their tours, even with the occasional glitch. Spectacular Scandinavia was overall very good, particularly the time spent in Norway. Accommodation was generally good and some were very good, particularly for location and ambiance, particularly (again) in Norway. There were some long days of read more driving, for example from Copenhagen to Stockholm, which were tiring but it is hard to see how this could be avoided, given the long distances to be covered. The tour started with 3 nights in Copenhagen and we think this is too much. We would prefer one fewer day there and an extra day in Geiranger or Bergen, or maybe one in each, spent as free days to allow us to wander. Overall a most enjoyable trip. Norway was the highlight.
