The ship was lovely - good well sized cabins with excellent food and service. The cruise description implied there would be many excellent snorkelling opportunities but in 2 weeks there were only 3 or 4 such outings. The Scenic administration (pre-cruise) can only be described as totally useless (many other passengers expressed the same view to us)... read more - e-mails and phone calls were never answered - totally incorrect and confusing information on the requirements for an Indonesian visa were provided. Our agent at Global Journeys, Tracey, did a great job of trying to follow up with Scenic.

We really enjoyed our ocean cruise (Norway to Portugal: The History and Traditions of Europe) and our river cruise (Normandy and Gems of the Seine)... both by Scenic. Booking again with Hannah ensured that everything went like clockwork...from the time we left home till we got back. We have also found that Global Journeys prices are competitive and they will go out of their way to meet your needs. We highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a perfectly organised holiday. Regarding Scenic...everything is included in their packages, making for a stress free vacation. The Scenic staff cannot do enough for you...and the food and drinks are always A+. If you do the Normandy river cruise, look out for any tours conducted by Ben Bailie. He is just fantastic!

We joined the Scenic Amber cruise in Munich and travelled to Budapest in August 2025. The cruise was fully booked, but it never seemed crowded. The majority of the passengers were Americans, plus Brits, Canadians , Aussies and Kiwis. All the crew spoke excellent English and all the business was in English. Everything really is included in the ticket... read more price, except the laundry ( which struck me as a bit expensive) and the massages. Good quality booze is included, and the bartender has a great repertoire of cocktails, but nobody over indulges. Where you can be over indulgent is in the meals. Three three course gourmet meals every day! Lots of tasty treats that you don’t get at home, and steaks are always an option.
There is a choice of excursions every day, all very smoothly organised, folklore shows in the evening from the districts we happen to be in. Plus there are plenty of lazy options such as sitting in the top deck chatting and soaking in the pool, playing cards with new friends in the front cabin, and having those massages. The cabin itself is quite compact, the shower especially so, but we didn’t spend much time in there. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our week sightseeing, over eating, and making new friends.

Another perfect cruise on Scenic Eclipse II. From the beginning of our booking, Tracey handled the connection with Scenic and she made it all so easy for us, keeping touch with us regularly. Our cabins were super comfortable with table and chairs on the large balcony. Room service meals were available if we did not want to spend time going to the dining room. Plenty of healthy food choices.
The crew took the Zodiacs out each day - sometimes the water was rough and the crew took care to help the passengers on and off the Zodiacs. On two days, the water was too rough for the Zodiacs to make a landing on the beach, on these days we cruised slowly along the coastline of the islands and we really enjoyed that. While anchored outside Dampier, we were surrounded by dozens of humpback whales, we had never imagined so many whales together in one place. From the Zodiacs we were able to view amazing underwater life - huge bommies, dugung, colourful fish - much more.
We visited many historic sites and learned a lot. Several marine biologists and environmentalists on board and each night we had a lecture/discussion on what we had seen during the day. We highly recommend this cruise - there was nothing we could fault. We would certainly travel with Scenic again, and we would also ask Tracey from Global Journeys to handle our future bookings for us.

Canadian Rockies, Alaska & Arctic Circle

Having previously used Scenic for a holiday and being impressed by their inclusions and standards we did not hesitate in using them again. In hindsight we should have reviewed what was under Scenics control and what wasn't. The land component in Canada was wholly under Scenic's control and it did not disappoint. The 2nd part was included cruise which was on the Sapphire Princess - an old tired ship with only average food and a package which we took up which added close to $1400 extra (for 2) so we could have water, coffee and alcohol with dinner and also wifi for only 1 device each was average at best and definitely NOT 5 star which is Scenics catch cry. We also undertook the land component within Alaska up to including Denali and ending in Fairbanks. Again this part is under Princess and the accomodation was definitely not 5 star and especially in Fairbanks I would rate it 3 star at best. So in summary I would not recommend this total trip to be undertaken under Scenic and I am sure you can find better Cruise /Denali options that are better value and not rebadged under Scenic with a premium price.

This cruise, the crew and all the organisation far exceeded our expectations. We were in luck and the river behaved and no transfer between ships were necessary. All off boat trips were amazing, the crew can't do enough to help you, even organising "slow walking tours" when they realised there were a few people struggling with the normal options. ... read more So much fun was had, new friends made and history visited. Food was amazing, and we honestly felt like we were filling in time before eating again! If you are even just thinking about it DO IT, Dad and I had a ball !!
We are quite seasoned travelers, but this is our first European river cruise and it was magnificent. It was added on to our trip to Ireland, Scotland/UK. Scenic delivered a first class experience. Scenic Cruise from Taipei to Bali 0

Took a Scenic Cruise, starting in Taipei and travelling to Manila, El Nido, Sabah and several Indonesian islands. The trip included wildlife watching, museums, viewing cultural practices and watersports on several beaches. Our cruise had 185 passengers and even more crew. Things that could have been done better was the day before starting the cruise in Taipei. The charge for the Taipei hotel was much more than the rack rate and no tour of Taipei was arranged. Also, there was lots of confusion surrounding the visas and it was left to the yacht crew to sort out when some of it could have been sorted out beforehand.
Many fellow passengers had been on several Scenic cruises prior so that was a good endorsement. I'd travel with them again. I'd choose Scenic Eclipse 1 over 2 as well as the cabin design and furnishings are better on 1.

This was our first river cruise and it exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional (taste and presentation) and the service from the staff was outstanding, they couldn't do enough for you. We had fantastic weather and the excursion options were varied, to accommodate moderate and active walkers. We had a wonderful relaxing time and will certainly book another cruise with Scenic. The booking process with Hannah from Global Journeys was fantastic, great communication all the way from making the booking to the start of the cruise and a good price. We would not hesitate to book another trip with Global Journeys.

This time I cruised the Seine from Paris to Honfleur and back. There was, as usual, a great selection of optional tours and most of the local guides were very good. The tours to the battlefields of WW1 and WW2 were exceptional and the reason I chose this particular trip. I also loved the cultural side of the tours offered, including Monet's Garden. What I love about Scenic is that everything is included; all meals, drinks all day, tours, entertainment, special 'enrich' concerts and even 1 laundry service per cabin. I would not hesitate to book another Scenic trip with Hannah from Global Journeys.

What a great experience. This was our first time on Scenic Eclipse and it exceeded all our expectations. Boarding the ship was quick and simple, probably taking less than 30 minutes from bag drop off to being escorted to our suite. As we are Platinum Loyalty Members, where dining reservations were required, these were made by Scenic prior to our boarding.... read more We were invited to the Chef's Table which is a great experience if you are lucky enough to be invited. It only ran twice on our cruise with 10 people each time. The food in all dining venues was very good. The service provided by the crew and staff was exceptional in all areas of the ship.
Being our first ocean cruise we were concerned about sea sickness but we were lucky to have good weather and barely any movement was noticeable. It was very windy coming out of Tangier but the ship was hardly effected. The only criticism we would make is that some of the walking tours were too long (4 hours) and could have been shorter and more relaxed. But other than that it is very difficult to find faults with this cruise which we thoroughly enjoyed. We are looking forward to our next Scenic Eclipse cruise.

From the first day the river cruise was first class. Everything was taken care of and the cost of all meals, drinks and excursions etc were included. The staff were all polite and nothing was too much trouble for them including room service if you didn’t want to go to the lounge or dining room. As a solo traveller I did find the lounge/dining room difficult at times as these cruises are obviously designed for couples or groups of friends and I probably spent more time in my cabin than I had planned. It would have been more enjoyable if there was a smaller quieter lounge and dining area rather than one large one of each but I do appreciate that with the size of the ship the options are limited. The excursions were all well planned and catered to the needs of different interests and fitness levels. Overall the trip was very enjoyable.

We've done quite a few river cruises and this was probably the most picturesque. Unlike many river cruises which travel between destinations at night, this cruise does quite a lot of daytime cruising to enjoy the scenery of the Moselle and Rhine rivers. The food was OK but nothing exceptional. We feel this is an area where Scenic has cut back especially in comparison with other river cruise lines we have travelled with. If you are looking for a short river cruise (8 days) which takes in some of the best scenery on the European rivers and some very nice destinations, this is the cruise for you.
We did Transylvania first with a scenic tour manager. She was a wonderful funny, helpful and very knowledgeable guide. Then the river cruise from Constanta to Vienna with scenic. The cruise was run by jay jay the tour manager. Excellent bloke. Organised and managed the cruise magnificently. Now the only let down was the two extra nights in Vienna which... read more was booked through scenic at the Hilton park. The time we left the boat everything was shambolic. To luggage transfer the checking in and they even forgot to turn up to transfer us to the airport. Not only us but other couples as well. Perhaps scenic should look for better ground support. Otherwise great trip.

If you want to travel but stay within Australia, then Norfolk Island could be for you. This small island is full of surprises, the scenery, the weather, the people, the food and the history. The daily tours were varied and well organised and the food was exceptional. We laughed about local tales and learned about the history of the mutineers who landed on Pitcairn Island and eventually came to Norfolk after the second penal settlement there ended in 1855. We would definitely recommend the Scenic tour to the Island and thank Tracey for arranging it through Global Journeys.
