This is the 5th time we have used Hannah at Global Journeys for a travel booking, and it won’t be our last. She is responsive, efficient, and very easy to deal with. Same with APT. Luxury accommodation, great food, free-flowing drink and amazing staff. A well organised tour with excellent information provided by our Tour Director and Cruise Director read more which was outstanding. Excellent selection of Christmas markets for us to visit and there was something in the Christmas markets for everyone, be it hot food and drinks or any one of a thousand Christmas mementos or ornaments. Loved the Christmas markets in Venna, and we were very lucky with weather, no snow unfortunately but still a fantastic itinerary. Highly recommended. We have booked another APT adventure next year!
Another great trip where GJ's organisation took a lot of the complexity and hassle out of things. The local guides were truly awesome, and the Mekong Serenity is lovely.
We have just been on our 8th APT tour and they have delivered again. The itinerary was comprehensive without being over taxing, the accomodation was first class and well located, the meals diverse and generally above expectation and the organisation near perfect. Any such tour is dependant on the Tour Director and we had the best in Asami Komachi. Her read more passion for her country was evident and she never stopped working to make sure we enjoyed every aspect of our tour.
We’d also like to thank Tracey from Global Journeys for the work she did to organise our tour. We have given her some hard times over the Covid period and she always delivers in the most friendly way. We highly recommend her.

All I can say is WOW and what a wonderful experience my husband and I had on our 15 day APT River cruise that departed from Amsterdam on Friday 29th August 2025 and finished in Budapest. We traveled on the APT Solara and the service from both the bar and restaurant staff was first class and the food was always exceptional. All APT staff on board The read more Solara are to be commended for their exceptional service. We would like to also make a special mention of our fantastic Cruise Director Navena Robertova who went above and beyond to make sure all passengers had a great time both on board the boat and during our excursions which were fantastic. We met many wonderful people on this cruise which was so much fun. This APT European cruise was flawless and we recommend it to anyone who may be considering a river cruise.
Rachel McSorley at Global Journeys was very efficient. She followed up everything we asked of her, including early delivery of our APT bags. We had a fantastic time on tour with APT. Our guide, Basil, was wonderful, we couldn't have asked for anyone better.
We had a brilliant cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam on the new APT ship Ostara. The Global Journeys team of Grace, Hannah, Tracey & Georgie did an amazing job of booking the river cruise with APT and ironing out a few problems with accommodation. Once on our way, everything worked seamlessly, and we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise; great ship, crew, read more food, wine & a great selection of tours. Minor hiccup was the ship swop because of low water in the rivers, but even this was handled very well, and we ended up getting on the sister ship Solara! No problem at all. A big shout out for the cruise director Anya, who was absolutely brilliant. All in all, a fantastic trip, professionally organised by Global Journeys. Thanks again, Greg & Kerry.

What a fabulous trip and experience! Everyday the scenery was breathtaking and the guides were a wealth of knowledge enlightening us in each city & towns as we explored them. The extra tours and options were fantastic as were the many little extras provided. Both Ships were amazing even with a changeover due to low water. Our journey planning was easy read more thanks to Tracey from Global Journeys being very efficient with attention to detail. We look forward to our next adventure.
What a great showcase of Australia’s inland beauty. From the grandeur of Uluru to the magnificence of Lake Eyre in flood. Every day with its own highlight - totally understated in the supplied itinerary. A truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Comfortable transport, very knowlegeable and capable driver and best available accommodation, make this a full read more comfort tour of really remote Australia. Highly recommended - great value tour.
Beautiful new boat APT Solara. The food the staff and the unlimited drinks all excellent. Multiple Restaurants but dining at 3 is by invitation only. The Captains Table is excellent but the Bistro offers the widest choice and the most flexible seatings si it was preferred by many by the end if the trip. Excellent BBQ on the top deck for a couple of read more lunches. Some shade upstairs but not alot especially if the boat is sailing. Owners suite fabulous - so many inclusions and amazing views of the river. Thanks Tracey for pulling it all together and getting us a great price.

The Seabourn Pursuit was a gorgeous ship with beautiful cabins, great food and food options, lovely bars, great entertainment and of course interesting zodiac based excursions to reefs, rivers, waterfalls and bird sanctuaries.
The average age was probably around 70 but everyone mixed well and everyone seemed very happy with all aspects of the cruise.
Margie read more the APT cruise director was fabulous bringing people together and involved in activities as did her assistant Tatijana. The Seabourn staff were all fabulous with great entertainment crew, bar and restaurant staff. The ship was always so clean. Special mention to the Captain Ertan who was so friendly and approachable. The staff has so much respect for him and his warmth and professionalism showed through all levels of the crew.

Would certainly book with Global Journeys again, as Hannah Perry, our travel consultant was always prompt in responding to any queries or concerns, gave us a very good price for our luxury cruise & also had us upgraded to a higher deck on ship, Seabourn Venture. Can’t recommend her enough! As for cruise itself, we are probably not as enthusiastic even read more though ship was luxurious, with exquisite food, beautifully presented & staff were excellent, as we found it difficult to relax. You always had to be at lecture or on excursion! While majority of shore excursions were well organised & interesting, there were definitely others that were tiring & involved much effort to get from ship to shore for little purpose - (Brock!) Last day was especially exhausting with morning activity & long afternoon bus trip, when majority of passengers needed to organise luggage to depart ship early next morning.

We were welcomed onboard to this beautiful river ship by a lovely gentleman who escorted us to our suite straight away. He explained how everything worked, and wished us a great cruise experience. We found every staff member couldn't do enough for us every single time, whether a simple question or any aspect of a meal, or drink, or our room. We found read more our beds and pillows, the room setup, the bathroom all excellent. The meals were exceptional every single time. The different dining experiences were excellent. We felt like VIPs at every turn.
We enjoyed the company of many fellow passengers through the 2 weeks. The entertainment, the excursions, the organisation by the cruise director was all excellent. Even the local guides were extremely good. We were fortunate to have great weather throughout the cruise, and at times just enjoyed the facilities of our ship to escape the heat, and watch the countryside drift by from our room or from any of the view points onboard. A truly wonderful trip of a lifetime.

What an amazing holiday, adventure experience we had. It was a last minute decision and it was a first time booking with Global Journeys and APT. Professionalism from beginning to end, my dietary requirements were never a problem and I had fantastic meals. The outback gorges, landscape, travel comfort, ,cuisine, wilderness lodges, wildlife and swimming read more experiences were top class. Our guides Hilary and Simon were fantastic, we were in very capable hands and their knowledge and passion just shines. All in all extremely happy and we had a great group of travelling companions.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first river cruise. We were looked after from the moment we got to the dock in Porto. The itinerary was balanced between tours and free time to soak up river life and enjoy the calm. The dams and locks along the river were also very interesting. The food on board was 5 star and the choice was amazing. It was hard to resist read more sometimes but necessary so that you could pace yourself. We met some lovely people who we will keep in touch with. Overall a wonderful 9 days. Thank you.

Adventure holiday without the stress of driving long distances or worrying about meals. Opportunity to meet people who also appreciate the unique geography of WA.

A wonderful experience, particularly seeing the Lake from the air as it started to fill following the Queensland floods. Our driver/guide, Kym, was very knowledgeable and professional. The local bush pilots are great and very informative. Some of the outback accommodation is challenging but that factor is well compensated by the local hospitality. read more Wilpena Pound flight is a must. Some long days on the road, but that's to be expected as we covered over 2,000 kms in a few days.

This was a great experience and provided a comprehensive tour of major Japanese gardens with genial and knowledgeable guides and tour leaders. The ship was excellently appointed and meals were consistently good, and more than adequate in quantity. Hotel accommodation was good in Kyoto but the property in Tokyo was due for a refresh. The itinerary was read more quite full and some activities may have challenged people of less than moderate fitness. There were several traditional Japanese meals, which provided an interesting introduction to the cuisine, despite not being to everyone’s taste.
This is the 2nd time we have used Hannah at Global Journeys for a travel booking and it won’t be our last. She is responsive, efficient and very easy to deal with. Same with APT. Luxury accomodation, great food and free flowing drink. 72 people on the Mekong Serenity with 42 staff. All tours are included but do sometimes repeat themselves. Not a trip read more if you are looking to lie in your cabin or by the pool all day as it has tours booked everyday. You can however choose to skip any or all of them. We have booked another APT adventure next year.
