Head to the Sunset Bar and Grill and soak up the views of Broome's incredible sunset as you enjoy a welcome dinner. Stay: Broome, Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa (D)

Journey on the Gibb River Road to Windjana Gorge, where sheer cliffs tower above pristine white sands and fossils lie embedded in the gorge walls.

Continue on to Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge. Stay Two Nights: APT's exclusive Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge (B/L/D)

Back on the Gibb River Road, travel to Bell Gorge, where stunning cliffs surround a series of tiered waterholes. You might like to hike to the lower pool of the gorge and enjoy a dip in the waterfall below. Alternatively, relax in the shade and enjoy a spot of birdwatching. (B/L/D)

Travel through the heart of Kimberley cattle country to Galvans Gorge, where a refreshing swim awaits. Then, continue to the beautiful Manning Creek, where you'll enjoy lunch before arriving at the historic cattle station of Drysdale River Station. Stay: Drysdale River Station (B/L/D)

Explore the Wandjina and Gwion Gwion (Bradshaw) rock art galleries of the Mitchell Plateau before a swim in the clear waters of the King Edward River. Stay Two Nights: APT's exclusive Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge (B/L/D)

Signature Experiences:
  • Admire ancient Wandjina and Gwion Gwion (Bradshaw) rock art.

Bidding the Mitchell Plateau goodbye, rejoin the Gibb River Road and ford the Durack and Pentecost rivers on the way towards El Questro, an incredible cattle station and nature reserve that covers a staggering 700,000 acres. Stay Two Nights: El Questro, Emma Gorge Resort or Home Valley Station (B/L/D)

Enjoy a hike to picturesque Emma Gorge, where you can indulge in a refreshing swim beneath the stunning towering droplet waterfall. After lunch, enjoy a Signature Experience. (B/L/D)

Signature Experiences:
  • Head to Zebedee Springs, a permanent natural thermal spring tucked away in a secluded pocket of rainforest. Relax as you soak in the hot springs and leave feeling revitalised.

Journey into Purnululu National Park, home to the famed black and orange striped domes of the Bungle Bungle Range. Travel the Spring Creek Track before hiking to Echidna Chasm, a natural cleft in the rock.

Later, arrive at your lodge in the heart of the national park. Stay Two Nights: APT's exclusive Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge (B/L/D)

Explore the magic of Purnululu for yourself and discover the depth of the Bungle Bungle Range. Saw lots of the Kimberley 0 , QLD, Australia, May 2024
The trip was great. We saw the Kimberley in all its glory, as well as snippets of Kakadu and Arnhem Land and the weather was perfect. The APT guides were really well organised and we had a good bunch of people on the trip. There was lots of laughter. The APT accommodation was spot on. It was go, go most of the time, but I guess it has to be, to see ...read more what you've paid for.

With regards to the accommodation, the APT Lodges were the best with some outstanding meals. Scott our Guide/Driver was exceptional with his knowledge, skill, and attention to our needs. Fantastic trip. Accommodation wonderful glamping, food 1st class in the most remote places. Tour driver/leader Luke was exemplary, kind, considerate, extremely knowledgeable, entertaining & looked after us all perfectly. Group of 18 mixed well & had a lot of fun. We were sorry when it ended!
Wildlife experience   2 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2018
We both had a great time. Some of the walks were a little difficult but managed most of them. A bit dangerous at times for those older travelers. Food good, tour leader great and accommodation while comfortable sometimes a little cool in the evenings. Being better prepared for a couple of cold nights may have helped. Extra excursions (helicopter rides ...read more over Mitchell falls and Bungle Bungles) well worth it. Boat trips through gorges fantastic with the Ord river and Kununurra Dam trips very interesting with great commentary (plenty of Crocs too). A wonderful experience to visit Arnhem Land and the Aboriginal cultural centre with Ryan Sage a particularly knowledgeable guide. All in all a trip worth doing.

Our tour with APT proved to be a great holiday. Our tour guide Garycould not have been more approachable, friendly and professional. His knowledge of local sites and traditions was first class and his ability to ensure we all enjoyed our time together was appreciated by all on the tour. The Kimberley is such a spectacular place to visit with its magnificent gorges, the intriguing boab trees, never-ending termite mounds, the thought-provoking cave art and just the wide expanse of land we travelled through. Some of the walks into the gorges were a little challenging but with the support of our fellow travellers and our tour guide we were able to complete all the walks....Would we do it again? If the legs and the hips hold up- YES!!
