Northern Light didn’t disappoint

Following on from an amazing 8 days of rail journeys through Mountain tops of Switzerland with Travelmarvel we had high expectations that Hurtigruten would deliver with Follow the Northern Lights through Norway and Finland. Although it didn’t snow, there was plenty of snow to be seen on the mountains and the cruise delivered the northern lights 5 nights read more in a row. After doing the rail in Switzerland, the Flåm rail trip was a little bit of a let down in comparison, however the ferry ride through the fiord leaving Flåm was spectacular. Our group of 20 were fun to travel with and our Tour leader Anne Duval kept everyone informed and went way above what was expected. Much of her down time was spent exploring the towns and cities with whoever wished to join her. The booking process, change updates and answers to our many questions were all handled promptly with Global Journeys and as repeat customers we’ll certainly continue to book holidays through them.
Thoroughly enjoyed travelling by train around Switzerland with Cosmos as it was uncomplicated, experienced tour leader, good numer of passangers (had 26 - max is 31) relaxing, amazing scenery as we were extremely fortunate to have great weather.

We recently had the pleasure of joining Alpine Lakes and Scenic Trains Tours, and it was nothing short of exceptional from start to finish. The alpine lake destinations were truly stunning—crystal-clear waters surrounded by read more dramatic mountain landscapes that looked almost unreal. Each stop was timed perfectly, allowing enough time to explore, take photos, or simply sit and appreciate the peaceful surroundings without feeling rushed.
The scenic train journeys were a highlight in themselves. Traveling through winding valleys, across historic bridges, and past panoramic vistas offered a unique perspective you simply can’t get by road. The trains were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destinations.
What stood out most was the professionalism and warmth of our tour guide Armando. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the regions we visited. His insights added depth to the experience, sharing stories and local history that made each location even more meaningful.
Logistics were handled flawlessly—transport connections, timing, and best accommodations all ran smoothly, which made the trip feel effortless and relaxing. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into planning these tours. Big thank you to the best driver, Diego and tour director Armando Disanto.

This was our first time travelling with a tour group and it was amazing!!! The pace of this tour is perfect and the small group size allows for lots of hanging out together and enjoying each others company. If you want to see Italy at a relaxed pace where some things are planned and you have free time to do what you want then this tour is for you.

The soloish trip to Italy was the best trip I have taken. Having a group of solo travelers patriciate in a pasta making class the first night was an excellent bonding moment. I had such a good time, our CEO was outstanding and I have made lifelong friends. I will definitely travel with G adventures again.
