What our clients are saying about their journeys sailing in and around the Mediterranean
Amazing stops in Greece/ Turkey/ Italy Mediterranean , New Zealand, Mar 2026
Booked a cruise on MSC leaving Athens port for 7 nights. Booked this through the amazing Hannah Perry of Global Journeys. Hannah booked our previous cruise and since she was great to deal with we used her services again. As always, Hannah was attentive to all our queries always quick to respond. Thank you again Hannah, and will definitely see you again read more for the next one. We travelled from NZ to Greece for the cruise. Greece itself was mind blowing. Food, culture, beautiful and warm locals who were so proud of their heritage, country, and happy to share it with us. The MSC ship was smaller than the last I was on (Royal Carribean). Some of the staff were not as welcoming or easy to deal with, maybe it was the cold-ish weather during this time of year. The buffet was not as good as previous ship, and average at best. However, the booked restaurants were a lot better.

Thankfully Hannah booked our group a table for the whole stay for dinner. The stops and excursions on the other hand exceeded our expectations. Corfu/ Izmir/ Istanbul/ Bari - wow. Great food/ history/ and views to be in awe of. Though it was cold in late March/ early April - much preferred as not overflowing with people, and got to see everything we wanted. Our holiday was spectacular. MSC Ship was pretty average, but I am bias having only been on one other ship (Royal Caribean) which was stunning. However - our holiday alone was stunninggg... great memories.

Malta, Morocco & the Med Malta, Morocco & the Mediterranean , QLD, Australia, Feb 2026
Sailing with Viking was perfect, they really look after all their passengers. Embarking & disembarking are fast, smooth & seamless. Food was varied & often followed the theme of the port we were visiting. Staff are all so friendly & genuine in their interactions with everyone. The cabin is so well laid out we had drawers we didn’t use. Everything was read more well thought out & their experience in cruising is obvious. One or two ports were a bit dull, not sure why Tunis is a destination, perhaps it’s just logistics because of the distance to cover.

One bit we found a bit perhaps unfair is when they release the excursions, the penthouses, owners suites, Explorers suites etc get to choose & book first, thereby making it harder to get a spot in places where there is a very big highlight…such as Alhambra. We booked our excursions the second they were sent to us & still missed out. Three of the restaurants stand out, Manfredi, Chefs Table & The Restaurant - excellent food choices & high standard but not snooty at all, but that is not to say the casual restaurants & cafes were anything other than very good. You do not need to dress up, just smart casual is fine. It’s never been our choice to go to any of the shows so can’t comment. It will be nearly impossible for us to choose another company to sail with in the future.
