Loved, loved, loved all of it. Everyone we dealt with was so friendly and helpful - very unusual these days!! The assistance with the booking of our trip was more than excellent; given that my husband and I changed our mind about which trip a number of times. Nothing was too much trouble. Our tour was the best ever. Federica & Salvatore (tour guide read more and driver) were simply amazing. The people on our tour were such lovely, fun, friendly people. Can not believe our trip is already over but never fear we will be in contact to arrange our next one very soon :-)
It had been many years since we were on a bus tour such as this and wow what a great experience, great guide, comfortable bus and very good hotels. Our fellow travellers were always on time and were comfortable with each other during the travels. Great value great tour.

The Xmas Markets tour was very enjoyable and our Tour Director and coach driver were both excellent. Loved the cold weather! Best places for us were Castle Neuschwenstein and Omeramagau followed closely by Mt Pilatus and the horse and cart ride to the Swiss farm. Many thanks also to Yvonne Brooks who made it all possible.
Tour schedules run exceptionally well 1

The tour schedules between locations run exceptionally well. The tour was organised and whatever the weather was, we got the most of it. I was expecting less on all accommodations, but they were excellent....roomy and clean.
Service was generally very good and we were well taken care of by the tour director and the driver. The accommodation at a couple of the hotels was not as good as expected.

We had an excellent tour with Trafalgar on our panorama journey throughout the UK. As it was the end of the season, there were only 25 travellers, so we were able to spread comfortably throughout the bus and get to know other folks from different age groups and nationalities. The tour director, Daniel Wood, was just wonderful. He was full of tales and read more funny stories and kept us constantly amused. His knowledge of history was just amazing and inspired us all. The bus driver was very good also and always displayed courtesy and good manners to his passengers. We had a break about every 2 hours and it was very clearly advised what time we had and what time to be back at the bus. The accommodation on the whole was good, some hit and miss and the breakfasts were much the same everywhere. The extra outings were good too, although this does add to the cost but what is the point in going if you are going to do as much as possible. I think some of these outings could have been included in the overall price.

I had a really great time on the tour, the tour guide Colleen was fantastic, she did a great job organising us all and making sure we made the most of the trip. There were plenty of extra 'hidden gems' that she showed us. The tour bus was comfortable, and had wifi which was useful. On the travel days, the bus stopped every hour or two to let us stretch read more our legs and grab something to eat. The driver Angela was also great, we always felt safe and she did a great job of getting us where we needed to go. I learnt a lot about the music of the USA, and found all of the tours very interesting. The food was fantastic at all of the hotel breakfasts, and the dinners were also great! The highlight dinners for me were the cooking school in New Orleans, and the 'Be My Guest' dinner at a pre civil war house. All of the hotels were comfortable and clean, with great service, and very well located close to the main attractions in each city. Airport transfers were very well organised, and are always a very welcome inclusion on a tour. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the tour, and I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends! One thing I can definitely recommend to anyone doing the tour is to make sure you visit a bar in Nashville called Tootsies! There is a bit of queue to get in, but it's definitely the best fun I've had in a music bar. Yvonne from Global Journeys also did a fantastic job, and made making the booking for the tour easy! I'd definitely use Global Journeys again. Thanks!

A very enjoyable and well run tour. The Tour Director was excellent, keen, hard working and knowledgeable. The itinerary was comprehensive and well paced and a lot of accommodation and meals were really excellent. Transfers along the way were very efficient. Opening night welcome cruise was outstanding. Points of critique: drinks at some chosen venues read more (both included and optional) were very expensive - would be good if Trafalgar could negotiate better deals as they bring big and consistent business to these establishments; irritating that included transfers at start and end of tour are only usable if arriving and leaving immediately adjacent to tour. Will certainly use Trafalgar again.

This tour exceeded our expectations. We had a fabulous tour guide whose knowledge was astounding. The accommodation was first class most of the way and the food was very good as well.
Overall the tour was excellent. It was a large group of 51 people, but our tour director Emile Wiegand Bruss managed it well. We enjoyed the tour very much, we paid an extra $2,300 ( per couple ) in order to join the optional tours but found that it was quite worth it. Some hotels were better than the rest, and food quality was of a good standard too. read more I would recommend Trafalgar to anyone interested in European tour.

We have nothing to say but positive things about our tour. We had a brilliant tour leader in Alberto and many of the local guides were also great - one lady Aurora in particular was dynamic. We met a lot of great people from different parts of the world and we will make the effort to stay in contact with many of them. Spain was just wonderful and the read more tour created lots of opportunities to see a lot and do a lot. The accommodation we had was brilliant everwhere. Thank you Trafalagar, thank you Alberto -your effort and care and knowledge was really appreciated.
Overall a wonderful experience. The accommodation was very good and the tour director was more than excellent. Some of the included and optional meals were very disappointing, especially the so-called farewell dinner at the end in Paris. It was one of the worst meals I have had. Travelling through some of the countries that produce such good food and read more wine we had hoped to experience some very good, if not the most expensive, wines. We were never offered anything other than pretty ordinary table wine. This did not spoil our overall enjoyment of the tour and we had a wonderful time. As first time coach tourers I think it would have been helpful to know beforehand that it is really recommended that you take as many of the optional tours/experiences as possible. It adds hugely to the amount of things you can see in the relatively short time that you spend in each place. The local tour guides were all very knowledgable and good fun. We found that we could pay for all of our 'optionals' in one hit at the start of the tour and were able to use our credit card. Some of our group had gone to the trouble of obtaining Swiss Francs especially for the optional tour offered there, but this was not necessary. The early mornings can be a bit tiring, especially towards the end of the tour, but that is just a comment, not a criticism! Your offer for prepaying the tour guide and driver gratuities was also a great idea. You can easily add a little more cash if you want to, but it is good to have that all under control before you go. We were pleased you sent us visa information because travelling through the USA can be scary if you don't have the correct visa waiver. We are glad that we booked through Global Journeys as the price we paid for the tour was great value and the contact we had with Georgie was always very helpful and email replies were prompt.

Highlights of Spain and Portugal

Overall, everything was well organized and minor hitches handled well. It was clear that the company had put a lot of thought into providing a satisfying experience for travellers. Our tour director, Nieves Franco was wonderful - professional, lovely sense of humour and genuinely caring and helpful. Our driver Fernanado was also excellent. I particularly read more loved a couple of the 'off the tourist track' stereotypical experiences- such as 'Be my guest' and having quaint little restaurants with singers performing just for us. The food in some of the restaurants was excellent, while others were OK. The accommodation varied a bit with many hotels a very good standard and others a little lacking. Same with the breakfast experience. [Lisbon's breakfast experience was very mediocre]. Access to Wifi was highly variable, with the connection too weak at times. Overall, these were not major problems. I had a great time and our group was generally a great bunch of people. I will definitely consider travelling with Trafalgar again.
Tour overall was good. Food was so so only. Would have like to spent more time in Poznan & Dresden as they are beautiful towns.

We had a wonderful trip with a very well organised tour director who made adjustments to our itinerary to enable us all to get the most out of the places we visited. Our tour was very interesting, educational and fun!! Our bus was comfortable, our coach assistant considerate and helpful and we always felt safe with our driver in some rather unusual read more and busy traffic situations. We cannot speak highly enough of our tour director, Tolga, whose insight and knowledge, as well as his sense of humour ensured our time in Turkey will provide us with many wonderful memories. We also appreciate the time and effort of our Global Journey's contact, Georgie, who made all arrangements go so smoothly. Dealing with her eliminated the stress which can sometimes be part of overseas travel!

The tour was really great and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately the American tour director was not very helpful and the driver got lost a number of times. As a result we arrived on a number of occassions late to the hotel and no time to change after sitting all day on the bus. Also the tour director Garry was not very out going and made no read more effort to try and get people to mingle on the tour.
Right up there with the goodies! 1

We have experienced many situations, good, bad & the ugly over the years we have been touring both in OZ and OS. We need to say the total deal from the first contact with Global Journeys until we walked out of KSA on our return was right up there with the goodies! Thank you Michelle well done!
