Would not hesitate to use Global Journeys again 1East Coast USA and CanadaJanice Tunny, Australia, Jun 2014
We had a wonderful time, everything went to plan and our guide Linda Mancini was great and my partner and I would certainly recommend Trafalgar tours based on our experience. Georgie from Global Journeys booked our tour and we would not hesitate to use her services again in the future.
Yes we really enjoyed our Trafalgar tour around the Italian Lakes, the coach was comfortable and the driver & guide good. We did enjoy staying at Riva del Garda for 5 days. It was a lovely place and we did some interesting trips on some of the days. Global Journeys looked after us very well and we thank you for that.
Fast paced tour of England, Scotland and Wales 2Best of BritainTimothy Bussemaker , Australia, Jun 2014
As advertised, this was a fast paced tour of a huge swathe of England, Scotland and Wales. (At times possibly a little too fast, hence the 'very good'.) Our tour guide Michael Cronin was excellent, given the large tour numbers (48). His patience and knowledge were exceptional, as well as his ability to 'shepherd' the group, ensuring that we didn't read more fall behind schedule. Accommodation was generally excellent however on a couple of occasions later in the tour, (I think Aviemore, but am not completely sure) where breakfasts could have been better as a number of groups stayed at the same hotel and staff appeared to be under a lot of pressure. The reason for the Global Journeys experience rating - Very Good - was because of the change of tour dates - this was probably beyond the control of Global Journeys. Otherwise Kirby & Amy were excellent. By the way how is Kirby traveling with her twins? (Ed. She's a lot lighter, and extremely happy with a healthy boy & girl! Thanks for asking!)
This trip is designed to give one a taste of what is out there. Go, go, go. Tour director, Jelle, was excellent and coach driver, Carlo was good hearted, very obliging and very friendly. Accommodation was good but Europeans love hard beds, so be prepared for that. The Louvre in Paris was a disappointment as it has been very modernised, but at least read more one can say they have been there. Eiffel tower was great, awesome views of Paris, even from level 2. Some of the local guides were non-stop talkers and got a bit annoying after a while. Overall, a great trip.
A great way to see many countries in a short space of time 1European WhirlAnthony Elliott, Australia, May 2014
A great way to see many countries and main attractions in a short space of time however the pace can be hectic when only staying one night in a hotel. Our tour director and driver were excellent and made life as easy as possible.
Many highlights in the trip 2Best of SpainOtto Chan, Australia, May 2014
There were many highlights in the trip, the one that took the crown was viewing of art collections in the Pardo Museum (Madrid) with the local guide. She did a fine job briefing us with knowledgeable background of each outstanding painting. She convinced us the museum collection is so impressive we stayed behind and spend the rest of the day to follow read more the recommended viewing list she handed to us. One cannot but be moved to share a room wall to wall with master pieces by the like of Titan, Van Gogh, El Greco, Goya, Rembrandt, Claude Monet etc, it was feast for the soul. Also our fare well dinner was in a well-appointed restaurant in down town Madrid. Our tour director arranged three amigo tenors who did many popular Spanish numbers including the 'Granada'---their combined voice matching that of the mighty Plácido Domingo. We sang along and many bought their CD as mementos. Lastly, my salmon main was well presented, very tasty and generous in portion. Thanks for organising the trip for us.
A great experience 2Spanish WonderBernard Doyle, Australia, May 2014
Overall a great trip. We knew it was a pretty fast paced tour and in doing so we visited some great locations. Kees (our tour guide) was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Thanks again for a great experience.
We have been back a week from our Trafalgar holiday and we simply say thank you for the wonderful holiday it was. Everything worked, the hotels were very good (great beds), great travelling partners, good food, excellent coach driver and travel director (husband and wife). The scenery in Canada was wonderful even if Lake Louise was still frozen. Snow read more was still thick on the ground in some places. We saw an avalanche at Lake Louise, apart from a couple of black bears. There is no doubt that the Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island has to be seen to be believed. The Inside Passage cruise is well worth the time and cost. We enjoyed all the ship life and probably had one of the best steaks I've tasted in awhile. I have a medal for my Ziplining at Ketchikan. A bit scary but worth every minute. We took a flight over 5 major glaciers from Juneau, a bit expensive but worth it. At Skagway we took the 8 hour tour up White Pass: coach up and the train down. It was excellent, the train is an engineering marvel appreciated only by travelling on it. The US border people removed 3 people from the coach who only had ID passes - passports only were the order of the day. We would thoroughly recommend this tour.
We had a wonderful tour with Trafalgar around Canada. The scenery was amazing. Our Guide, Virginia Wood, and driver, Vic Wood, were lovely people and made our holiday great fun and really exciting. I would like to thank you for booking our trip at such short notice. Everything went like clockwork and it was great to deal with you. We certainly read more will come back to you for future holidays. Thanks again for all your help.
Would definitely do another Trafalgar tour 2East Coast USA and CanadaGarry Prime, Australia, May 2014
The tour was good and very informative, would definitely do another Trafalgar tour.
We had a great time, hotels and night outs were first class, one or two days were a little quiet. We will look at Trafalgar again - the whole tour ran well. Thank you Global Journeys for your help in organising the trip.
We had a fantastic experience 1Grand EuropeanSandra & Kaya Hamdi, Australia, May 2014
We had a fantastic experience with the Grand European Tour. The guide Patrick was excellent- well organised, caring and very knowledgeable. I believe he did things that are not generally expected of guides. The driver Mario was also excellent. A very good bunch of fellow travellers. Thank you.
Optional tours at times were not value for money 2Best of ItalyGiusppe Simone, Australia, May 2014
The optional mini tours at times were not value for money, considering the initial cost of the tour. This was a much discussed topic among all the passengers.
Absolutely delighted 1Jennie Tana, Australia, May 2014
I was absolutely delighted with my holiday. Both Global Journeys and Trafalgar exceeded my expectations. I will definitely book another Trafalgar holiday through Global Journeys.
Great destinations and accommodation 1Jenny & Marcus Arnold, Australia, May 2014
Michelle, thank you for helping us organising our tour. You were very helpful and provided us with some great advice to prepare for our journey. Everything went well, there were no issues along the way, The tour guide and the driver were both excellent, the group we meet were lovely and the destinations and the accommodations were great, I think Marcus read more and I would be happy to book with you again in the future.
We had a very enjoyable tour, made all the more enjoyable and memorable by our tour director Anna Forbes and our coach driver Jamie. This was my second coach tour with Trafalgar and I hope there will be others.
We had a fabulous trip. We were very lucky with the weather which helped. It was a good time of the year to go if you want to see more snow. Also everyone is fresh as ours were the first coach, train and cruise out for the season. Trafalgar are a great company to travel with, they are very professional, helpful but also bring some nice personal touches read more to their tours. We would definitely recommend Trafalgar Tours, this is the second time we have travelled with them and will do so again in the future. Global tours were very helpful and our trip went very smoothly with plenty of information.
We had the most amazing time 1Best of FranceAlison & Debra, Australia, Apr 2014
We had the most amazing time. France is absolutely beautiful, and what a perfect time of year to visit. The tour was really well planned and covered so much of France. Obviously there's always going to be places where you'd like to stay longer but time just doesn't permit. Our tour guide, Martine, was fantastic - very knowledgeable and an absolutely read more pleasure to spend time with. What an incredible job she did to keep everyone on time and organised throughout the tour. A major feat when you're dealing with 45 adults! This was my second experience with Trafalgar and, once again, I was completely happy with their service. The coach was new and clean, our driver was very polite and well mannered, and did an amazing job of manoeuvring the coach in some very awkward locations, especially given the width of the streets in France. Thank you for your assistance in organising the trip. Good planning leads to a very happy traveller!
We enjoyed our trip immensely and for the first time I can say with complete confidence that the trip was made all the more enjoyable because of the Tour Director, Brendan Bush of Trafalgar Tours. He managed to completely bond the group, and bond with the group, within the first couple of days. The group remains in touch and we are planning another read more tour together in 2016 - a long time off but I believe that there is a dedication by many to make it happen. The tour itself was busy, medium place and we managed to fit in another couple of special places that were not originally included on the itinerary while still managing to cover the planned visits. Although I am not Catholic, to be present in Rome on Easter Monday and to attend the Vatican whilst the Pontiff was giving his blessing was memorable. My only real complaint of the trip was that it was not long enough. Thanks Global Journeys (Yvonne) for assisting in making the arrangements for this holiday.
A wonderful holiday 1European WhirlAdrian Lim, Australia, Apr 2014
