Disappointing Trafalgar Traditional Europe Tour over Christmas 8 , QLD, Australia, Dec 2019
Booking process and communications with Global Journeys was seamless and very easy and my consultant (Jemma) was always available and very helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend Global Journeys and book with them again in the future.

The Trafalgar Traditional Europe Tour was fast paced and reasonably disappointing overall with little consideration read more made in relation to lunches, which had to be purchased mainly at roadside Autogrills in the midst of pushing and shoving through massive queues of tourists and others travelling for the Christmas holiday break. The toilets at these stops were filthy and again having to line up in endless queues left little time to enjoy the break and the meal.

The majority of hotels along the way left much to be desired and were located quite a distance from the town centres and one hotel in particular was very dirty. After travelling most of the day on a bus and checking into your hotel after 6pm on most days, it would be better to offer hotel accommodation in the town so that travellers had some dinner options.

The most disappointing thing was that we were touring over Christmas and the New Year and the itinerary claimed to have organised special activities and meals for those days when the truth is nothing was arranged for us and the Tour Guide simply advised us that this was because everything was closed on Christmas Day so we spent 8 hours on the bus! NYE in Paris was the same with nothing having been organised by Trafalgar and our Hotel having been booked out for private functions so there was nowhere to go for dinner or to toast the NY.

My travel companions were great and thanks to them the tour was bearable but the Trafalgar Tour Director and Driver were absolutely dreadful. They spoke amongst themselves in Italian about the travellers on board and banished some of the travellers who had walking difficulties to the back of the bus so that they didn’t have to assist them! Unfortunately for the Trafalgar employees, some of the travellers spoke Italian and understood everything they said. The cities visited were beautiful but again due the time of year and traffic on the highways about 1/3 of the planned activities were cancelled.
Fantastic 18 Day Traditional Europe 2 , WA, Australia, Jul 2019
Had a fantastic time on this tour, it is pretty rushed but that was to be expected trying to see so much within the 18 days. Tour guide (Howard) was very knowledgeable and well organised. Think it was an added bonus that there were only 27 people on the tour as there is sometimes up to 48 people, we had more room on the bus and I think you get to know read more the other people on the tour better with a smaller number. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the main sites of Europe.
Exploring Europe 5 , QLD, Australia, Aug 2018
What an action packed 18 day tour we experienced travelling through Europe with Trafalgar. We loved everywhere we visited and learnt so much from our extremely knowledgeable tour guide. All the optional extras (which included many dinners) were wonderful & worth the extra we paid for them. These also gave us the opportunity to get to know our fellow read more coach travellers and we all had such fun and have made some great memories and friendships.

Some of our accommodation was not what we expected to be Trafalgar standard, but overall pretty good.
Booking this trip through Georgie at Global Journeys was as always easy & great. The few hiccups we had were quickly sorted with Georgie’s help, and she was always helpful and prompt with my many questions. I would highly recommend Georgie and Global Journeys & look forward to many more trips to come.
Amazing   9 , NSW, Australia, Oct 2017
I can not recommend this trip enough. As a single traveller I was initially a bit apprehensive as it was my first major overseas trip and my first on my own.....but there was nothing to be apprehensive about. Our tour director, Kevin, was amazing and made everyone feel welcome and part of the group. My fellow travellers, awesome and I have made some read more life long friends.

The tour itinerary overall was amazing and the optional extras an absolute must. Accommodation was, in some cases good, in other cases excellent and whilst breakfasts were always substantial and very good, some dinners in the hotel left a little to be desired. Whilst there was the occasional hiccup that was beyond the control of anyone, overall I would not hesitate in recommending this tour to anyone. Beautiful countries, incredible scenery , so much fun and memories that I will cherish forever. And if you're thinking of doing it alone but a bit worried......go for it, you won't be disappointed.

As for Global Journeys....thank you Georgie for everything. An absolute seamless process, was always on hand to answer my questions and I will not hesitate to book through Georgie at Global Journeys for my next trip......travelling single again and not worried at all.....to Canada and Alaska!
Amazing trip 1 , VIC, Australia, Jul 2017
Trafalgar's Traditional Europe is a fabulous experience. You do travel a lot of kilometres in the coach but the opportunity to see so many extraordinary sights is well worth it.
Terrific Traditional European Tour 1 , VIC, Australia, Sep 2016
From the day Yvonne from Global Journeys contacted me with details of the trip the organisation and information provided couldn't have been better. The trip was fantastic, well organised, with very good hotels and connecting services. Optional extras on the tour were very good and we were in a position to miss highlights that we'd visited on a prior read more European trip. Overall we were very happy with our experience.
Traditional Europe Tour 1 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
Our Tour Director, Jacqui Stark at Trafalgar was a class act. She was very knowledgeable and provided an interesting insight into each of the destinations along the tour. She worked tirelessly to ensure each person involved was able to experience what they desired to. The destinations visited and tours offered as "optionals" were excellent and well read more thought out. Our family really enjoyed this trip and recommend it to those personnel, particular those whom have never visited Europe before.
Fabulous trip through Europe 1 , NSW, Australia, Aug 2016
Overall it was an excellent tour, saw so much in 18 days, pace was a little tiring at times, not always enough time in some of the cities to just wander around and soak in the atmosphere. The 2 night stops made the pace better. Hotels were excellent, good size rooms and meals, only negative with accommodation was same people always got the rooms with read more a view, not just any view but of the grand canal in Venice, Mt Vesuvius in Sorrento, Lake Lucerne in Lucerne. Needs to be a fairer way to ensure these rooms are shared more equitably, it wasn't only us that missed out but it was the same 8 or so names at the top of the list that got the view rooms.

Optional excursions made the tour price expensive, 17 optionals is a lot, and these cut into any free time you might have. Night time optionals were good fun though. Thought the Galleria Academia was very expensive when we really only wanted to see statue of David, local guide was informative but really didn't need all that. We didn't do 2 of optionals as had done them on a previous tour. Tour inclusions were excellent, tour director was diligent in getting us to Sistine Chapel and Pompeii early before the crowds which made things much easier. Would certainly book with Global Journeys again, prompt efficient service.
Amazing trip 1 , VIC, Australia, Jul 2016
Trafalgar tour director was excellent, could not do enough for us. His knowledge of Europe was amazing. Global Journeys were very helpful in organising our tour - especially Michelle White.
Traditional Europe   1 , Australia, Sep 2015
Emily at Global Journeys was fantastic this was our first trip to Europe and our 1st organised tour, she patiently answered all our questions and provided all the information that was required, our documents all arrived well within our departure date. The tour itself was amazing the tour director, driver and of course all the fellow passengers made read more this trip something we will never forgot we have made some great friends from all over the world. The sights, sounds, experiences I cannot describe expect to say amazing, spectacular, incredible.
