It was a happy day for us when Georgie contacted us (after non contact from other agencies) about our East Coast tour. She tied it in beautifully with our previous tour of the western side of North America. This tour was very well organised, and our tour director and coach driver were both very professional, and had every aspect of our tour organised. read more They also threw in a few little surprises, which seemed to please everyone - e.g. (Harley Davidson factory in Pennsylvania, and 'Boston' cream pies for all for afternoon tea). The quality of our accomodation was A1, and one of our 'heritage' hotels even had some resident ghosts, although none of our party encountered them!

I had a great time I would recommend Global Journeys and Trafalgar. I was mildly disappointed with the lack of vegetarian options. When I booked the tour I communicated my vegetarian dietary requirement and there was no suggestion that this would be a problem. In most cases with included meals there was no choice or variety, and often in the paid extras read more the meal was quite poor given the price. Having said that it was good enough to not spoil my trip but it's something that you may choose to focus on given that it's an option. More of your future clients may require it.
This was an interesting tour as I have Irish heritage. Unfortunately I was unwell from day 3 until the end of the tour so my perceptions are possibly less than they should be - I saw a doctor in Waterford who gave me antibiotics that solved the problem for the other tours I then did (England and France). The emphasis on this tour is more about Irish read more culture and scenery - Ireland does not have the large cathedrals and castles that exist in England and France (particularly France). Some of the areas (like Galway) were terribly crowded with tourists so would probably have been better to do in the shoulder season. It was hot (and I don't remember any rain so that's good) but this caused a problem as most of the accommodation had no air-conditioning - also no fans that would have helped. As this was an unusual heat wave I have still given a Very Good rating as the hotels themselves were quite nice.

Being 69 + 71 we were the eldest on the tour, wouldn't suggest anyone much older taking this tour (unless reasonably fit) as the European summer months are quite hot, plus the tour was a busy one. Saying that, we had an excellent Tour Director in Peter Assell, who made sure all our needs were cared for. A little more down time would have been nice, read more but there again we wouldn't have seen and done as much as we did. In all fairness it was our choosing to take the optional tours. Some hotels weren't central, if one didn't take the optional tour, which included dinner, then the issue of finding somewhere to eat may have been an issue, not knowing the local area. Distance travelled between destinations was at times too long, but to inlcude all the highlights, we appreciate it could not have been organised in any other way. Dealing with Global Journerys was very convenient, all our questions were answered. I would recommend both Global Journeys and Trafalgar Tours to others.
We had a fantastic time, I have to admit it was all very well orchestrated by the tour guide, I will defiantly have no hesitation to travel with your company again and recommend you to my family and friends. Thank You .
'Scenic Parks Explorer' was a fabulous tour with wonderful scenery, excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide and first class accommodation. The Global Journeys experience was very positive - bookings were handled promptly and efficiently and every effort was made to accommodate my wishes with regards to flights. The discounted price of the tour was read more an added attraction. I would highly recommend Global Journeys to any future clients and will certainly contact them when I consider traveling again. The tour was exactly what we expected, the driver and tour guide were very efficient and helpful. The only complaint some of the hotels were not equipped for the heat we encountered particularly in Scotland also many of the hotels Wi-Fi was an extra charge in this day and age this should be standard. We would certainly consider using Global Journeys read more as we found them very reliable and would recommend them to any travellers.

I'm glad I chose the Best of France as it really covered some spectacular sights and the tour guide Martine showed us many hidden treats along the way that I would never have discovered on my own. The food, the hotels, the bus, the sites.. were exceptional. Don't overlook this tour!
Our Tour Guide Marco Cini was excellent. We did all the extra options - next time we might choose to give ourselves a little down time. Most of the optionals were worth doing. There were a good number of teenagers on the trip for our three to spend time with - it was Australian School Holidays. The participants were mainly Australian. Plus NZ, USA, Saudie, Sth African.

We loved every minute! Our guide really made the trip. Stephen was so informed, switched on and had our every need organised before we knew it. The group was also a fantastic mix of people - they, together with our guide and driver really made a wonderfully enjoyable holiday for me and my son. Hotels were great, much better than expected with great read more meals throughout. We certainly made some wonderful friends who we will share memories with for life. There was a mix up with our seat requests on the plane, however, I sorted this out with a phone call and request to Singapore Airlines and they gave us wonderful seats the whole way through. Thanks to Global Journeys and Trafalgar for a memorable trip.
If we had to summarise our overall experience in one sentence, it would be 'SIMPLY THE BEST'! A massive thanks to our incredible Travel Director, Stephen Pearce (aka '007') for directing this tour with such a positive energy, patience and friendliest smile from the start to the end. His knowledge, people and management skills were all top notch with read more first-class hospitality throughout the whole trip. It would take many decades of experience and extensive leadership training (and perhaps hours of daily meditating as well), to master the art of leading 47 people 24/7 for 15 days all through 8 different countries, whilst organising and dealing with numerous vendors at the same time. We commend you for going above and beyond to ensure that we are happy at all times - cheers mate!
Fortunately, we had a fantastic group though, mainly from Australia, a few from the US and a couple from Canada. However, with any tour group, there's always one or two uncivilised or negative people whom we all could travel without, but thankfully majority was very friendly, easy going and open minded as well. The weather was also pretty good, mostly sunny between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius. We managed to see and visit all the things and places as per the itinerary and more with no issues at all. The tour pace was not too bad either, the first 3 days were pretty fast pace, but it was then reduced to moderate and much easier closer to the end. We can't speak highly enough of Steve and definitely would not hesitate to recommend this Trafalgar tour to anyone, particularly for those who like 'VIP' treatments. A special mention to our main Tour Bus Driver also, Antonio (aka 'Tony'), for the remarkable and tireless driving - Mille Grazie!
Last but not least, thank you Georgie from Global Journeys for assisting us with this tour. It took a while for us to finalise our Europe trip as we had to make quite a few changes along the way but Georgie was always very helpful and patient in re-arranging the tour and accommodation as requested in a professional manner. Wonderful overall experience indeed!

Amazing Britain

We really enjoyed our first coach tour. The itinerary was great and, our tour director Michael Cronin could not have done anything more to make our trip more successful. The coach driver Richard was also fantastic and hellpful and a very careful driver. I realize this was a short tour but next rime I would like to have a couple of two night stays during the tour.

What a fantastic experience. Every detail was so well planned from the pick up right through to the drop off and everything in between. From the planning stages, Frances was so helpful and accommodating. I never felt as if I had too many questions. Graham, our tour director, was amazing. He made everyone feel comfortable and very much at ease. Nothing read more was ever too much bother. His knowledge about general things was appreciated and his ability to recall historical facts was mind-boggling. Roberto, our driver, was a sweetie. He greeted us every morning with a warm smile. We travelled with a great group of people which helped make this time so memorable. My husband & I and our 3 teenage daughters would certainly recommend Trafalgar.
This was my first overseas coach tour, and right from the start I was very impressed with Hannah's assistance and guidance over the whole booking process and follow-up. The 16 Day Grand Italian Experience was fantastic and I would recommend Trafalgar any time.

Scenic Scandinavia and its Fjords

This was our first trip outside of Australia and our first coach tour. It was very well organised, excellent tour director, Amanda kept us well informed and amused with her stories. The coach driver Peter was excellent, give the guy a medal for some of the places he took us in that coach through Norway. Some of the hotels were not as nice as we had read more expected, however the food was really good every where we stayed. From our own point of view we didn't like the add on excursions that you pay for once the tour has started. We prefer to pay up front for everything before we start the tour. Yes we would tour with Trafalgar again and have recommended it to friends. Global Journeys consultant Georgie did all the bookings with no hassle and kept us informed.

This tour was really great, it gave a wonderful taste of the variety of American culture and its beautiful National Parks, cities and towns. Bob & Mike our tour director and coach driver were excellent. Unfortunately we had some illness on our tour - stomach virus - they both handled this very well and made sure we were all comfortable and looked after. read more Their knowledge of areas we visited was fantastic - it was so good to sit back and relax and let them do all the planning!! We would definitely recommend this tour and any Trafalgar tour. Thanks so much.

Very fast paced but expected considering the destinations 1

it was very fast paced but that was expected considering the distances and destinations. The tour guide, Deborah Wiggin was very thorough and quite unflappable, and kept up an interesting narrative. Hotels were mostly great. the locations were not so important to us because we did all the optionals and there was no time for anything else. Only a bit read more disappointed in some of the included meals - they were a bit poor. As lunches were usually rushed in a truck stop, dinner was a bit of a highlight and to get an average (but adequate) meal a bit of a letdown. That would be something the hotels could improve upon - I am sure the Trafalgar contract is lucrative for them. The hotel internet was also poor in many locations - nuisance only. The coaches were fine - roomy enough. All in all, my expectations were met and my first visit to Europe was amazing.
