Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our Tour consultant, Georgie, was excellent - helpful in every way. Organisation was very efficient and travel arrangements went without a hitch! Tour was engaging - good tour group, excellent tour guide - very good local guides, coach was comfortable, pace was fine. A couple of long travel days but necessary. Itinerary read more was excellent and gave a very good sample of what is on offer. Would definitely do it all again.
A fantastic well organised tour 1Traditional EuropeJoanne Klischat, Australia, May 2013
It was a fantastic well organised tour. Our tour director Richard Benne was really experienced and so knowledgeable, which meant nearly everything was smooth. It was a tour that took us to many fabulous places.
The tour was was a lot of fun and our tour director was excellent. I didn't understand why we need to decide on the optional excursions within the first 3 days, it does not work anyway, and Jason was still taking money until the last day. The theme song that Jason selected and played to wake us up was a fantastic idea. The mood on the coach was getting read more better and better as the tour went on culminating in the farewell dinner on the last day in Madrid.
We were very pleased with the tour and will recommend to others. There were a couple of times when we reached the hotel late in the afternoon when a more direct driving route could have saved an hour or two.
Global Journeys are our travel advisors for our future trips! 1East Coast USA and CanadaBrian & Judith Gaffney, Australia, May 2013
We returned home last night full of wonderful memories of our trip. Besides the Trafalgar segment we travelled throughout other areas of USA and Singapore which proved exciting. Now to the Trafalgar side of things. Arrived New York as scheduled and booked in to the Marriott East side which you had arranged. This went smoothly after the long flight. read more Following day we meet our Tour Director Ben who was to prove a hugh success for our experience. The trip was a wonderful journey for Judith and I and we met great people. If you were to ask me the highlights I would definitely say Washington DC and Niagara Falls. Don't get me wrong it was all great. Ben was a most informed Director and he lifted our interests through his continued detailed knowledge of the areas visited. We had a TV crew with us on some days preparing a TV campaign for the Morning show on behalf of Trafalgar. This will air on Channel 7 June 17th to 21st and will no doubt have some snippets of the tour. The only comment I would make that we all would like to have had more 2 night stops and less of the one stops. However I do realize that to travel the distances we did this would be hard to do. Trafalgar do it right and as this was our 3rd trip with them I am sure you can see we are more than happy with them. Georgie I found your service in arranging this for us to be most professional and may I say a sincere thank you for all you did. You are our travel person for our future trips! Again our sincere thanks for your service to our requirements.
A most enjoyable ten days, thanks for the memories 3Prague, Vienna and BudapestRandolph Wijetunge, Australia, May 2013
I was hesitant to join a tour group, but this group of people were very friendly and cooperative, and punctual. Our bus driver, Gabor, was one of the most polite, friendly and helpful people I have had the pleasure to meet, and a safe and professional driver. All the included tours were most enjoyable, and the added tours I went on were also enjoyable, read more especially the dinner cruise. By all accounts, the other tours were also enjoyed by the group. Prague and Budapest are two of my favourite cities, and I will be revisiting them soon, but will be staying a week in each city, at the least. Ingrid Isopi, our tour guide was very professional, extremely knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I was informed she was 74 years old, and I still don't believe it. She made the tour for me. She was fabulous. There is however, one thing that was quite annoying. That was the constant pushing of the tips. Three or four people around me commented, and were also unhappy. A job well done will always be appreciated monetarily. But, it was a most enjoyable ten days. Thanks for the memories.
Saw great scenery, had many memorable experiences and made many new friends. The Trafalgar tour manager and bus driver were first class people, they looked after us well. We felt safe and comfortable while in their care. The only disappointment was that the Trafalgar Tour manager did not accompany the group on the Volendam Inside Passage Cruise. We read more would have preferred being treated as a group on the ship, dining and enjoy other excursions together.
We were really well looked after by Trafalgar 1Grand EuropeanJan & Lee Platt, Australia, May 2013
I felt we were really well looked after by Trafalgar. The tour guide was exceptional. I felt we got to spend enough time in each place to get a good feel for it. The accommodation was great and the pace was not really restful but you know that before you go! Only complaint I thought that some of the 'included meals' could have been better and we should read more have been at least given a choice of menu instead of the set menu. An organised coach tour is a fabulous way to travel around Europe, its so much easier being dropped off at the 'packed' tourist sites, than having to find your own way there. The extra information given to us by our tour guides was amazing - you don't get that with independent travel. I was impressed that I was able to organise this trip via phone and internet with Global JOurneys, without having to step into a travel agency.
Loved not having to wait in long lines 4Clare Crabb, Australia, Apr 2013
It was a well planned tour. Loved not having to wait in long lines. Tour guide fantastic and knowledgeable. The extra excursions were well worth it. We would love to go on another tour.
The whirl was a whirl but never dull. I actually enjoyed the pace. Perfect selection of places visited. My only crisicism is the local tour guides tend to take you on meaningless sights and not much time left to shop...it's a girl thing!
Enjoyed the tour itinerary, but found some of the hotels poor 1Best of TurkeyRob Paull, Australia, Apr 2013
We enjoyed the tour itinerary, but found that the air conditioning in some hotels was not working correctly. The food quality and food service in the hotel at Cappadocia was very poor. The tour guide, Altay, was very good at his job.
We stayed in excellent hotels and saw a lot of California. Patrice Dias was an excellent guide and very caring. I had to go to a dentist when I broke a tooth and she arranged that. Another man had to go to hospital and she handled that very well. The tour was not too rushed and there was free time to do your own thing. We liked that.
The drivers were excellent and the Guide was great. Passengers were excellent company and we had a terrific time.
Would definitely choose to book again through Global Journeys 2European TravellerSarah Jordan, Australia, Apr 2013
My tour consultant Hannah was extremely helpful and always provided very timely responses to my queries. Hannah was extremely helpful in suggesting a solution when I had advised I had booked my tour but on the incorrect flights/itinerary (very silly of me!). My 8 day tour from London to Rome was amazing. Our tour guide was amazing, his knowledge, professionalism read more and genuine care for the groups experiences was second to none. He spoke 5 languages which was a bonus and it definitely was an asset in resolving any issues experienced by the group. The Tour guide was able to manage 40 of us with ease....no-one got lost, and if they were late, he would bend over backwards to make sure they weren't lost. On our final day, we received the most amazing and thoughtful gift from our Tour guide, not chocolates, or a travel voucher etc....but an amazing limited edition souvenir from the Vatican. During the tour we had other local guides join us, they were equally as enthusiastic about there job and oozed a pure passion for their home city. Would definitely choose to book a tour again through Global Journeys. Thank you!
So pleased we went on this tour 1Amazing BritainRichard Roberts, Australia, Apr 2013
So pleased we went on this tour. The itinerary was perfect for us. Our guide Eddie was a wonderful host - very knowledgeable & entertaining. The accommodation was comfortable, clean & well-presented. Breakfasts were amazing and included meals very good. Coach comfortable with frequent enough stops for comfort. Most of the tourers were mature travellers read more with a few younger people - all were pleasant company. Would not hesitate to recommend both Global Journeys (thanks Hannah) and Trafalgar tours.
A trip to remember! 2Vanessa & David, Australia, Feb 2013
We decided to go on this tour for our honeymoon. Frances from Global Journeys was very helpful and lovely to deal with. She was also able to price match another quote we obtained, which was fantastic! The tour itself is exactly as described, that is, a Whirlwind Tour of Europe. It gives you a taster of the highlights at each country. We travelled in read more winter, which meant it was very cold (snowing, and below zero temperatures), but the snow capped scenery is really quite beautiful and different. We had the added bonus of not having to compete with peak season crowds. Our tour director, Emile (pronounced 'A-Meal'), was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable on each destination we travelled to, and where time permits, he was able to show us a few extra local spots (called 'hidden treasures'). These are spots not mentioned in common travel guides and we would have not otherwise visited them had we travelled by ourselves. He was also very humourous and did a great job of answering our questions, looking after us, and keeping the tour running smoothly. Our driver Jorgo was very friendly and professional.
We had a mix of 4 and 5 star hotels, most of which were in fairy central locations (short public transport ride to the city). A few hotels were a bit further from the CBD, however it is a compromise between location and hotel quality. All the hotel rooms were of a large and comfortable size (a nice surprise, given we're talking about Europe!). The tour is very fast paced, and you have a short period of time at each location. There are some windows of free time, where you get to walk around and explore (or shop!) Get ready for 6am wake up calls, and hours of traveling on the coach. This is of course, what is required to cover the number of locations that this tour provides. The tour showcases the best sights and sounds each country has to offer.
We ended up taking part in all but one of the optional excursions, and they were worth every cent. Rather than spending time shopping, the optional excursions are additional sights and activities, which I think really adds to the tour and I would highly recommend them.
We travelled with a great bunch of people of all ages, from all around the world. At the end of the tour, I must say we were tired from the packed schedule but we had a fantastic time. Looking back, I cant believe we covered 6 countries (and even more cities) in just 12 days. We have visited some amazing places, had wonderful food and met lovely people - it is a trip to remember! With Trafalgar, you do pay a bit more for the tour itself, but the tour is top quality and highly professional.
An unforgettable experience for all three of us! 3Best of Italy (Winter)Chris Ha, Australia, Jan 2013
'Best of Italy' by Trafalgar was indeed the best of the best for experiencing every bit of Italy, especially for the first timers like us! Not only it included gems of Italy, but of hidden treasures of Italy as part of optional excursions at a very affordable price. Global Journeys was the only travel agent in Australia, offering such a package in January read more (Winter) and my tour consultant, Frances was also able to tailor flights and other travel needs to suit us and attended to many of our inquiry professionally and kindly. It was just an unforgettable experience for all three of us!
A lively itinerary but did not detract from the overall experience 1Christine & Mark Smyth, Australia, Dec 2012
The tour director Gerry Baines was excellent, his attention to detail, consideration for everyone on the tour was magnificent. We truly were spoilt having Gerry as our tour director. The bus driver Rudi was also great, we were never lost and never ran late, all this and he never referred to a GPS. The tour was advertised as having a lively itinerary read more this was certainly true but did not detract from the overall experience. It has only served to make us want to go back and spend more time experiencing certain regions.
We loved every single moment of the trip 1European WhirlShayne & Jenita Black, Australia, Dec 2012
Lots of variety, weather was great, sunshine and snow what more could we have asked for. Thank you Georgie for helping me organise our fantastic trip. I can highly recommend Trafalgar tours.
Far exceeded my expectations of a coach tour 1Best of Italy (Winter)Kerry & Caitlin Davidson, Australia, Dec 2012
This tour far exceeded my expectations of a 'coach tour'. Would do another Trafalgar tour without hesitation. The guide we had, made the whole experience a pleasure. The help I received from Global Journeys was excellent and we would also book with Frances again.
