Grand Italian Experience 0 , QLD, Australia, May 2025
Enjoyed the overall trip Tour Guide Danilo was great…found it very full on with some days lots of time on the coach. Disappointed with meals included in price by Trafalgar and found Optional Extras very expensive with Australian dollar rate. Still had good time and met great people but also think Trafalgar should organise something for those not doing read more the Optional Extras (in the day) rather than just "free time".
Great experience 5 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2017
The trip was well organised, long trip on the bus sometimes but it was bearable. Tour director and bus driver were very nice. The hotels were good but the locations of some hotels were inconvenient, far from the centre of the city. To make the trip great, we did most of the optional tours with extra cost. Overall it was great holiday so I'll travel with Trafalgar again.
We had the absolute best time 3 , QLD, Australia, Aug 2015
When planning our holiday, I was very hesitant about using a travel agent as we had troubles in the past that left a bad taste in my mouth and so when looking for our tour I was very hesitant. As it turned out, my fears were short lived and completely turned around with Global Journeys. At the start of our trip we met up with 30 people for our organised read more tour wondering how we would handle spending that long in a bus with people we did not know. As it turned out that was the least of our worries. We had the absolute best time with some extremely wonderful people from all over the world and worried more about getting to the bus on time, getting to breakfast on time, meeting the boat on time, making sure we found a loo before the next run and remembering how to do a simple task such as ordering a coffee.

Our tour director was not only funny, extremely well knowledge in all aspects of our trip but was just such a wonderful person. Our driver was a consummate professional and although he did not talk much he astounded us at times with his skill at the wheel and not once did we feel uncomfortable even looking down at some pretty hairy slopes along the way. Unfortunately, we ended our tour with the Trafalgar Travel group and all went our separate ways but some wonderful friendships were made along the way that I know will last a long time. All dealings with Global Journeys from initial enquiries, booking, deposit, final payment right up to getting our documents, were on time, complete and absolutely trouble free. The website and bookings page made getting prepared for our trip so easy and allowed us to have our holiday knowing we had done everything we needed to do and take everything we needed for our trip. All the consultants we dealt with during this process were dedicated, efficient and helpful and could not fault anything whatsoever. A really great company to deal with and would recommend them to anyone.
Fantastic coach tour 2 , Australia, Jun 2013
This was my first overseas coach tour, and right from the start I was very impressed with Hannah's assistance and guidance over the whole booking process and follow-up. The 16 Day Grand Italian Experience was fantastic and I would recommend Trafalgar any time.
Too many hours travelling in the coach some days 2 , Australia, Jun 2012
We had a great time, but some hotels and meals were not the best. Beds very hard and rooms tired. This varied as there were also some nice hotels. Too many hours traveling in the coach on some days. Most of the better tours were extras, therefore added an extra $650.00 plus per person, then on top of that there were the tips that were expected by tour read more guides. We had an excellent bus driver. Where I have marked average I would have preferred to be able to mark good.
