For this tour, our tour guide was Colette Endstrum. Colette was an absolute mine if information about Germany, it's history, culture and politics. This was of great interest to both my sister and myself. Colette made the group feel as if it had been her best tour and this is areal skill. Petre, the driver was a very skilled , and was very courteous read more and helpful - especially as my sister had some physical struggles. Germany was a great country to visit.

The best thing about the tour was it elaborated the Irish culture and history very well. Excellent experience. I'd surely recommend to others.

Although the tour pace was hectic it needed to be as the amount covered in sights and experiences was wonderful. We would highly recommend Trafalgar. Global Journeys did a fantastic job of taking care of all our arrangements and we would not hesitate to use them again.
The tour was very good, although a bit busier than I expected. Quite a few early morning starts. The tour guide was excellent, very informative. Hotel accommodation was generally good, although the Belfast hotel had very cold bedrooms. Some of the others complained as well. I requested extra bedding. The hotel we were booked into at the beginning and read more end of the tour had us booked into a double instead of a twin room. They were not happy that a mistake had been made, and blamed Global Journeys for it. (MD. Oh aren't they naughty blaming us!) The coaches were generally okay, but the seats were not really comfortable for those of us who are height challenged. On the whole, it was a good trip, and I would recommend Trafalgar and Global Journeys to anyone.

This tour was very well conducted and went along without a hitch. The tour guide made sure everyone was comfortable and fully informed about upcoming events or activities. This was our first guided tour and we do not regret it.
Excellent tour taking in all major highlights and a couple of extras! Would definitely recommend. Our tour guide was very well informed and helpful. A great tour.

Very satisfied with the overall experience, but as l have traveled on other UK journeys l felt that this tour did visit quite a number of sites l had already seen. Would have really liked to visit more of what Devon & Cornwell had to offer that other tour don't. Such as all those small seaside villages, more of Dartmoor etc. More sightseeing could read more have been included on some of the days as well as some of the visits to places were too long eg; St Ives & Bath. One must also be mindful that some travelers are still quite fit and able to cope with greater paced days.
Great trip with amazing scenery. Only downside the bus coach too crowded with 52 passengers and only one exit. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and the communication with Global Journeys was excellent. Thanks Hannah.
Emily at Global Journeys was fantastic this was our first trip to Europe and our 1st organised tour, she patiently answered all our questions and provided all the information that was required, our documents all arrived well within our departure date. The tour itself was amazing the tour director, driver and of course all the fellow passengers made read more this trip something we will never forgot we have made some great friends from all over the world. The sights, sounds, experiences I cannot describe expect to say amazing, spectacular, incredible.

We had a wonderful time on the trip. The length of the tour was just right, but a bit more free time on our own would have been lovely. Improvements would be to include dinner in places where the accommodation is not centrally located and perhaps have a smaller group. Most of the accommodation was great but there were a few places where it could have read more been better. The itinerary covered all that we expected. Definitely value for money. Looking forward to our next trip somewhere else with Trafalgar.

The places visited on this tour were wonderful as were the tour inclusions. While the coach driver was excellent I did not find the coach particularly comfortable (perhaps I was spoiled on the European tour). It would have been good if there could have been more short breaks to stretch eg photo stop but with 51 people on a coach with only one door this read more would not have been practical. I found the pace of this tour a bit exhausting perhaps because of the long stretches in the crowded coach. The tour guide was efficient but not really what I would call a 'people person' and was not inclined to give us much extra information above what she was really required to do. I notice that this exact tour is not offered in the new season but has been replaced by a similar one which is slightly longer. Perhaps this would have a more leisurely pace. (ED. That's right Carolyn, it's now an 11 day itinerary, has been updated and is named 'Enchanting Canadian Maritimes' - thanks for your feedback.)

European Wonderland

It was very good experience for us as family with children at different ages (16,9,7). I believed each of my kids has brought home with their own unique memory. Excellent time management of the tour guide and reserve time of the important sites was wonderful. Have already recommended to my friends and family. Looking forward to travel with Trafalgar. read more (It was my second time to attend Trafalgar European tour and both were impressive.)

Fantastic experience provided. Leena Hazeldine (Tour Director) and Karl Stones (Coach Driver) were very knowledgeable about their profession and added to the experience. Will certainly look to travel again next year in Europe with Trafalgar - look forward to receiving some details.
As previously, booking through Global Journeys was very well handled and easy to finalise. The Best of Scotland Tour was promoted as longer stays, later starts which usually are after 9am however we only had one late start at the end of the tour. When I queried this with the Tour Director he said that it was not possible to start the day after 9am therefore read more this tour should be promoted as such. The accommodation in the Highlands and Glasgow were great however the Novotel City Centre Edinburgh was just passable. After staying there can understand why they don't get good reviews. The Welcome dinner was more of a snack with not much food served but the wine was excellent however the farewell dinner was a fabulous and memorable way to end the tour. Overall I had a brilliant experience from going on the tour and have some fantastic memories of the places we visited and the things we did.
Thank you to Global Journeys for your excellent service when booking my Switzerland & Austria tour. Booking was hassle free and I was kept up to date at all stages prior to travel and upon my return. My Trafalgar tour was excellent. The itinerary was well planned and encompassed so many beautiful places. I chose optional excursions that involved scenic read more tours, cruises and village visits, and all were fantastic. I can highly recommend this tour and would definitely choose Global Journeys for future travel bookings.

Overall, it has been a good positive experience. There was some communication breakdown, especially on the first day. There was supposed to be a meeting at 5.30 pm to meet the director and others. We went out and returned at 5.20 pm - could not see any Trafalgar group in the lobby, so we went to our room to freshen up, got back to the lobby and still read more could not see others. On inquiry, we were told that the group had gone to the coach at 5.15 pm. We asked where so we could join them. Through the concierge, I spoke to Andrew of Trafalgar who advised me that the others had gone ahead to the cruise departing at 7.00 pm We said we wold take a taxi and he said he would relay the info to the guide to wait for us. So, together with 1 other person, we rushed to the pier, arriving at 6.32 pm - only to find that the boat had left promptly at 6.30 pm. We were naturally disappointed, thinking that we were in time for the 7.00pm departure. What's more, in getting the subway back, we encountered smoke and had to quickly evacuate - before the fire engines arrived. We got back to the hotel rather stressed and tired. After we complained to the guide, we had to wait for a few days for a response. This resulted in us having a credit towards the optional tour expense incurred. Because we were adequately compensated, we did not feel too bad after all. We felt the cruise director should have made an effort to contact us or leave a message in our room - to inform us about the cruise. Most of the first meetings in the past were held somewhere in the same hotel - so, being a little late was usually not a problem.
We chose this tour because unlike other tours, it covered most of Italy. The overnight stops were mostly 2 nights which we felt would be more enjoyable than packing every night. This was our first European coach tour and it was certainly a great way to be introduced to new and interesting places. There is no way we would have seen and done so much if read more we had travelled independently. The tour was certainly fast pace but we were ok with that. The accommodation was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Marina, our Trafalgar tour guide, was just amazing and made our trip informative and fun! We chose not to do all the optional tours as it was nice to do our own thing and have a break from the group. We always did the optional evening tours which included dinner and they were always fun and worthwhile. Our experiences with Global Journeys was streamline and faultless. We look forward to booking our next trip.
I had the most amazing time on my tour of Britain. I can't believe how much I saw in just 11 days. This was my first bus tour ever and I wasn't quite sure what to expect, especially as I was travelling on my own. The Tour Director was extremely helpful and his knowledge of the area we covered was fantastic. Our driver was courteous and well organised. read more Together they made a great team. It is an extremely fast paced tour but that is what I signed up for and it suited me as I usually hit the ground running. I will be signing up to another Trafalgar Tour just as soon as I save up. Thank you Michelle for booking my trip and any help I needed before I left Australia.
It was a very good way to tour all over Britain in 11 days and see so many towns castles and sightseeing. Highly recommended.

Tour Director and Driver were excellent and very experienced. They had a good knowledge of the area. The tour was well organised, and there were adequate comfort stops. There was a good range of optional extras, though we only chose to do two, which were both great. The included meals were all of a good standard.
