With most of Southeast Alaska accessible only by boat or plane, cruise the Inside Passage for a unique view. (B/L/D)

The dramatic Sawyer Glaciers at the end of Tracy Arm are framed by mountains and bathed in the blue hue of the ice. Arrive in Juneau, where you can shop downtown, kayak, dogsled, raft or flightsee. (B/L/D)

Today is a day of relaxation as you cruise back to Vancouver. (B/L/D)

Disembark in Vancouver Harbour, transfer to the hotel and join your Spectacular Canadian Rockies trip on Day 1 for a Welcome Reception at 6pm (B/WR)

Embark on a morning sightseeing tour of Vancouver's historic neighbourhoods. Savour the smells of freshly steamed Siopao in Chinatown and admire the Victorian façades of Gastown as you make your way to the leafy sanctuary of Stanley Park to view First Nations totem poles. We continue by ferry to Vancouver island and Connect with Locals during a Be My Guest lunch visit to a family-owned working farm, where we'll enjoy fresh farm-to-table flavours. Later, we enjoy some sightseeing in Victoria. (B/BMG) Stay: Chateau Victoria

Embrace the Garden City status of Victoria as you greet the day with breakfast at Butchart Gardens, a 55-acre showcase of gorgeous floral gardens that have colourfully transformed a once unused quarry. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the walkable capital of British Columbia. (B)

In Kamloops, the soul-stirring sounds of the Shuswap melodies welcome us, as we gain insights into First Nations' traditions and culture. Be entertained by a storytelling member of the First Nations followed by a delicious dinner. (B/D) Stay: South Thompson Inn

This afternoon you'll stop at the Mount Robson Visitor Center where you can admire UNESCO-listed Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies in all its 12,972 feet (3,954 meters) of glory. Continue to the raw wilderness of Jasper National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we'll spend the next two nights. (B) Stay: Chateau Jasper

Join an interpretive walk at Maligne Canyon this morning. Later, take to the aqua waters and cruise Maligne Lake to Spirit Island (seasonal), admiring views of its three glaciers and Spirit Island. After the cruise enjoy a delicious lunch with wine at the lakeside Maligne Lake Chalet. (B/L)

The icy fingers of the Columbia Icefield beckon as we journey along the Icefields Parkway to Athabasca Glacier. Cross its icy terrain on board a specially designed Ice Explorer and Continue on to Lake Louise, where there is time to soak in the majestic beauty of the lake and its turquoise, glacier-fed waters, fringed by high peaks, deep green forests and overlooked by Victoria Glacier. Continue on to the township of Banff, in the heart of UNESCO-listed Banff National Park. Settle in for an evening at leisure. (B) Stay: Banff Park Lodge

Join a Local Specialist and learn about his experiences as a retired Mountie and the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Spend the afternoon exploring the rugged beauty of Banff, from its postcard viewpoint of Surprise Corner to Bow Falls. The rest of the day is free for you to pursue your own interests. Your Travel Director will be available to help plan the perfect day for you. Tonight, we join our newfound friends for a Farewell Dinner to toast the end of our unforgettable encounter with Canada's Rockies. (B/FD) Stay: Pinnacle Harbourfront

Wonderful, scenic experience   4 , WA, Australia, Jun 2018
Fantastic trip. We saw amazing scenery in both Alaska and Canada, walked on a glacier and through a canyon, spotted bears and whales in their natural environment, visited unexpected places and had an overall wonderful experience. Whole trip was extremely well organised and everything worked out as it should, including the great weather we were lucky ...read more enough get.
Holiday of a lifetime    9 , QLD, Australia, May 2017
My husband and I booked our Canada and Alaska tour through Global Journeys and it was absolutely the best holiday we've ever had. We started with the Alaskan cruise then toured the Rockies with Trafalgar. Everything was so well planned and exactly what we'd been hoping for from this long dreamed of trip. The accommodation everywhere was excellent, ...read more the food was incredible, the sites visited are bucket list worthy and we've made heaps of news friends. We took up a lot of the extra options available on both the cruise and Trafalgar tour and they were all worth every cent. Even without the optional extras though the trip would have been brilliant. I doubt we would have seen or experienced half as much if we weren't on the tour. I would recommend one change for most though which is tour first then cruise. The land tour is fairly fast paced with early starts.
Scenery, accommodation and service were excellent   5 , SA, Australia, Aug 2015
The GoldLeaf experience on the Rocky Mountaineer was excellent. The cruise to Alaska on the Vollemdam was fantastic. Scenery, accommodation and service on the tour were excellent.
A excellent tour company both for content and value   4 , Australia, Jul 2014
We had an amazing time. Every thing was very well organised. Tour guide was excellent. Driver did an amazing job too. Their experience working together really showed as they made an excellent team. Fellow travellers were a great group of friendly people. We all got along really well. We were very lucky with the weather too. I would and we have ...read more already recommended Trafalgar to people as a really excellent tour company both for content and value.
The overall trip was excellent   4 , Australia, Jul 2014
The overall trip was excellent. My wife, daughter and I enjoyed every minute of it. Our tour guide Jess was lovely, she had everything running very smoothly. People turned up on time to get on the coach with no late comers which was good. The food and accommodation was excellent.
Thank you for the wonderful holiday   2 , Australia, May 2014
We have been back a week from our Trafalgar holiday and we simply say thank you for the wonderful holiday it was. Everything worked, the hotels were very good (great beds), great travelling partners, good food, excellent coach driver and travel director (husband and wife). The scenery in Canada was wonderful even if Lake Louise was still frozen. Snow ...read more was still thick on the ground in some places. We saw an avalanche at Lake Louise, apart from a couple of black bears. There is no doubt that the Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island has to be seen to be believed. The Inside Passage cruise is well worth the time and cost. We enjoyed all the ship life and probably had one of the best steaks I've tasted in awhile. I have a medal for my Ziplining at Ketchikan. A bit scary but worth every minute. We took a flight over 5 major glaciers from Juneau, a bit expensive but worth it. At Skagway we took the 8 hour tour up White Pass: coach up and the train down. It was excellent, the train is an engineering marvel appreciated only by travelling on it. The US border people removed 3 people from the coach who only had ID passes - passports only were the order of the day. We would thoroughly recommend this tour.
