Itinerary

Canada's multi-cultural metropolis of Toronto launches your journey across Eastern Canada. Relax after your journey, then meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception this evening. (D) Stay: Sheraton Centre Toronto

The day begins unlocking the best of Toronto with an orientation tour past the sprawling Queens Park, entertainment district of Dundas Square, stately University Avenue and the Provincial Parliament Buildings. With your afternoon free, consider joining an Optional Experience to CN Tower for panoramic views across Toronto. Dare to walk on air on the famous Glass Floor at 342 meters (1,122 feet), which includes an outdoor Sky Terrace. (B)

On the way to Niagara Falls, you have the chance to learn the art of playing the puck like a pro. Dive Into Culture and embrace Canada's national sport, learning the secrets and superstitions of hockey players as a professional coach walks you through a day in the life of a player. Go inside the players' dressing room and put on full hockey gear, then grab your stick and it's onto the ice where you'll learn how to score the big goal. Sample some of Niagara's regional cuisine paired with their delicious vintages over a Be My Guest experience at Ravine Winery.

Continue on to the flower-filled and tree-lined Victorian charms of Niagara-on-the-Lake with time to explore before journeying to Niagara Falls. Embark on an exhilarating boat ride to the base of Horseshoe Falls, which plunges dramatically into Lake Ontario.

Later, you have the option of joining a helicopter flight before overnighting at Niagara Falls with plenty of time to take in the area's natural beauty. (B/L) Stay: Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls-Fallsview

Continue to Kingston, a 17th-century former French trading post and gateway to Ontario's Thousand Islands. See how the city is in a league of its own joining an optional 1000 Islands Discovery Cruise. Relax on the water as you cruise by the must-sees including National Historic Sites including Fort Henry, Canada's Royal Military College, and the imposing Kingston Penitentiary. Conclude your day in arriving in Ottawa, Canada's capital. (B) Stay: Sheraton Ottawa

Enjoy a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience at Madahoki Farm, including a guided tour of the indigenous displays introducing the diversity of history and indigenous cultures across Canada and the Friendship dance.

Arriving in Ottawa, embark on an introductory tour of Canada's capital. You'll have a full afternoon to discover the city on your terms. Consider joining an optional cruise on the Ottawa River or taking in the “Oh Canada Eh? Dinner Show” to unlock the famous stories and people of Canada. Or, explore on your own with a visit to one of the city's museums or discover the range of amazing local cuisine. (B)

See how the cuisine of Canada is in a league of its own. At Chez Dany, the sticky, rich flavors of Canada's traditional maple syrup will linger long after your lunch at a local "Cabane a Sucre" (Sugar Shack). After feasting on favourites such as ham, bacon, sausages, baked beans, scrambled eggs, pancakes and sugar pie, continue to Québec City to begin your love affair with the city's French Canadian 'joie de vivre' and your hotel in Old Québec.

Tonight's Stays with Stories overnight finds you at the Claredon Hotel. Inaugurated in 1870, the hotel is filled with heritage and memories, offering a distinctive historic experience. (B/L) Stay: Clarendon

Embark on a captivating walk through the narrow streets of Old Québec City, joining your Local Specialist for an in-depth discovery of this UNESCO-listed place exuding all the charm of a European city. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring La Vieille Capitale on your terms. (B)

Get ready to live the good life as you arrive in Montréal where your Local Specialist introduces you to the pleasures of the city. View one of Montréal's crown jewels – Notre Dame Basilica. Visit modern Downtown Montréal, the colourful port area and Place Jacques-Cartier. Then discover the history of Notre-Dame, the first neo-Gothic church in Canada. It stands as a foundational part of Montréal, with breathtaking architecture, gold leaves, thousands of stars and exceptional stained-glass windows.

After unlocking the heart of the city, join your fellow travellers for a Farewell Dinner in Old Montréal. (B/D) Stay: Le Centre Sheraton Montreal

Bid a fond au revoir to newfound friends as you depart from Montreal at your leisure. (B)

Great tour of Eastern Canada 4 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2019
We had a wonderful time. Canada is a very pretty place to visit. Thank you so much for all your help, Hannah, I must admit I was nervous booking online and not actually getting to meet you in person. But can we just say that you delivered on it all. It seemed too good too be true, the prices you were able to secure for our trip so all I can say is a ...read more big thanks from Bill and myself and we would not hesitate to recommend you to our friends.

The Trafalgar tour leaders and drivers were all happy to go over and beyond to make sure everything and everyone was happy. So once again thank you, if or when we travel again you will be the person we will be looking to!

First booking through Global Journeys. Hannah looked after our booking expertly and I would not hesitate booking with her again. It was also our first Trafalgar experience. We had a large group of people, 52 in fact who all got on very well. Our hotel accommodation was excellent and the included meals were exceptional. Our bus driver Ron was perfect. ...read more The places we visited were breath taking, especially Niagara Falls. Would have liked more time in Ottawa. Unfortunately we did not have the best of tour directors, for this reason I would be hesitant to book another Trafalgar trip.
