Excellent. Everything went as planned from start to finish. We would recommend Global Journeys to anyone wanting a great trouble free holiday.
We went on this Eastern Canada trip with Globus in July. Weather was quite hot everywhere. We had a full bus load of people (Canadians, Americans & Australians) & everyday we moved seats. Our guide James was excellent, ensuring things went smoothly. Our accommodation was very good & all beds were very comfortable. Only about half of us continued on read more & did the cruise with Holland America on the Maasdam, the cruise was so good. Food was exceptional & drink prices moderate. We even got our laundry done on board, $20 US for as much as you could stuff in the laundry bag. Had a wonderful optional extra to Prince Edward Island to visit the home of "Anne of Green Gables". Georgie at Global Journeys handled our trip booking & she is very efficient & helpful. We had a wonderful holiday, Eastern Canada is beautiful & recommend everyone to visit.
Had the best time on the coach part with Globus tours, our tour guide James Saunders was great and had so much info on all parts, and also liked how our pick ups and transfers where done. Would do another tour with them.
Excellent itinerary for a tour around Portugal

This was a well planned itinerary visiting many places of interest. The hotels were of a very good standard and all were centrally located. The tour guide and driver were excellent and the included meals were of a high standard.
This trip was called "Best of Norway" and it certainly didn't disappoint. We were blessed with good weather, which enhanced our appreciation of the natural beauty of this country. There was 'wow' factor every day. Highlights included the Flam Railway trip, the circular drive around the Hardangarfjord, which is the second longest fjord in Norway and read more the rail trip back to Oslo from Bergen. The road was at times high with many hairpin bends, but thanks to the expertise of our driver, Simon, we were able to relax and thoroughly enjoy the incredibly beautiful scenery.
The optional cruise on the Aurlandsfjord, an arm of the Sognefjord (the largest in Norway) at Flam, is a must, especially if the weather is fine and clear. The accommodation was of a high standard. A special treat was a stay at the historic hotel in Ullensvang, which is situated in an idyllic setting between the snow capped mountains (even in summer) and the Hardangerfjord. Another optional tour - a bus trip to the hills behind Oslo, followed by a harbourside dinner, was also well worthwhile.
Be aware that Norway is an extremely expensive place, so I believe this tour is reasonably priced. A lovely touch by Globus was to include a glass of wine on the nights that an evening meal was included. There was a great balance between organised tours and free time. Thanks to our guide, Peter, for his knowledge and courtesy. Top marks Globus for this itinerary and top marks Georgie for her usual efficiency in arranging our booking.

I liked the itinerary and the pace of the tour. Our guide Adelheid is very knowledgeable. The included dinner in a local restaurant in Aarhus was excellent. You felt you were welcome and the food was delicious.
We had a wonderful holiday each day fulfilled with a new and exciting experience, weather was marvellous, Rocky Mountaineer a trip of a lifetime, cruise relaxation and breathtaking views. The bus group was lovely - half of group Australia and half Americans - we were 35 all up. Would have liked at least two days in each place, found bus tour amazing read more but very tiring. Felt that we were living out of suitcase, nevertheless it’s the only way to cover a lot of territory. We had an amazing holiday and hope to experience another part of the word in the near future.
Everything was good right from the time we arrived at our hotel. The tour director and driver of the bus were excellent. All excursions were enjoyable and the guides were great. The food and accommodation were good. The mix of fellow tourists were good and we all got on well.
We thoroughly enjoyed the 9 day tour - being history buffs we loved all the historical places eg Jamestown, Yorktown, Williamsburg and Gettysburg. It was great to tour a couple of the battlefields. Our tour director Jim Ryan was fantastic and our driver was great. Our accommodation was all really good apart from in Williamsburg - for breakfast we had read more to use plastic plates and utensils!
It would have been nice to have had a bit longer in a few places but on a 9 day tour unfortunately we had to keep moving! Shenandoah National Park was fantastic - such beautiful views. The weather was very hot - it got a bit much towards the end of the tour when it got up to 37 degrees! Overall it was a fantastic experience and we would definitely travel with Globus again. Leanne our travel consultant did a great job - thanks again!

Amazing Trip! 1

Well organised and amazing highlights tour of Europe. So happy we chose this tour. Our family had the time of our lives!
A huge Thank you to Juliet Scott for organising our Ireland trip with Global Journeys. This is the third time I've travelled with Globus and was especially impressed with Juliet's service in booking our trip. I will be recommending her to friends and will of course have her organise my future trips. I had planned an around the world trip and had left read more the organisation for this trip totally in Juliet's care. As we were travelling before the Ireland trip, Juliet kept in contact via email, providing us with up to date information and responded immediately to any questions I had.
The trip which was in late June, was amazing as we had 7 perfect sunny days with blue skies and lots of stunning scenery to photograph. The accommodation was above our expectations with fantastic central locations in walking distance to main attractions. We ended up doing all of the extra excursions which were sometimes informative, funny, cultural and just entertaining. One of our highlights was visiting a farm, making delicious scones and having them with a lovely Irish coffee. Thank-you Juliet, Global journeys and Ireland!
Prague City Break 2
Dianne & Neville, VIC, Australia, Jun 2018
A great place to stay at Jury's Inn with trams & station right outside the front door. We were rather jet lagged so we really didn't make the most of it. Chose to buy a city tour & also a trip to Cesky Krumlov. City tour was fantastic & guide was very informative. Cesky Krumlov tour was disappointing the guide was not satisfactory at all.
Visited a lot of interesting places relevant to the tour topic that I'd been wanting to see for some time. The hotel accommodation was mostly of a high standard and the food was pleasantly varied. I was however quite disappointed with the tour director who made little effort to get to know us or integrate the group together. His knowledge of the places read more we visited was also disappointing. His talks were mostly incoherent and vague. I found them frustrating to listen to as I knew he didn't know what he was talking about. He was primarily interested in getting us to the the next destination, that's all.
Beautiful scenery, well organised, both Tour Director and Driver were highly experienced, knowledgeable, and professional. Hotels and food where provided were very good. The Rocky Mountaineer Train ride was very long. 12 hours on the 1st day and 14 hours on the 2nd day delayed by freight trains and track work - there are no stops in between destinations. read more It's a restaurant on wheels. For the same distance I would recommend to do this sector by road saving a day in travel plus actual stopping to stretch and come closer to scenery to take photos.
The Holland America Volendam Cruise was up to expectation. Both crew and staff went out their way to make our holiday memorable. Highly recommend The Best of Skagway & White Pass Railway Alaska where the scenery in the short rail ride compacted the overall scenery of Rocky Mountaineer is my personal opinion. Thumbs up Globus.
The cruise on the Volendam we could not fault. Highly recommend a balcony suite! The tour? Firstly the Rocky Mountaineer - took 12.5 hrs Day 1 to go the same distance you do in 3hrs in a car. Scenery - okay but generally just glimpses. Overnight accommodation was basic. Day 2 took 14 hours, sitting at sidings waiting for 3km freight trains to pass. read more On train service was excellent.
We have done a lot of travel, there are better options for your time and money. Do not recommend, very disappointed after reading so much hype. Would suggest to fly into Calgary and drive or bus trip to Vancouver and do the cruise, this would save a lot of money and time. You are then on a largely elevated road, can stop at scenic spots and was far more enjoyable.
Secondly we upgraded to Fairmont hotels, big mistake, the Vancouver Fairmont was the only 5 star. Most are rundown, small rooms and basic service by students working there for the summer. Fairmont Lake Louise was a letdown especially as the gardens have not been maintained. So we do not recommend this particular tour itinerary.
Most interesting well paced tour of 400 years of American history

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Tour guide Barbara always went above and beyond. Coach, driver and accommodation were all top notch. Some great photographic opportunities especially in Shenandoah National Park. The tour was well paced and a great insight into the 400 years that make up the country we now know as the United States. Highly recommended.
Thank you Global Journeys for making my holiday easy and enjoyable. It was my first tour with Globus and I cannot rate it high enough. Tour was fantastic, accommodation was good, tour director brilliant. Overall I was very impressed.
It was my first booking with Global Journeys and definitely will be booking again. Jemma was fantastic in organising read more and explaining everything to us. I thought the booking process was so easy and being able to login in and view anything of my booking was fantastic. Will be in touch with Global Journeys to book my new trip.
Enjoyable holiday but with some reservations

The destinations on the tour were very good, although as with any coach tour, more time could have been spent at some of the places. In particular, the day we went to Lecce and Otranto, the times spent at each should have been reversed, so that more time could be spent at Otranto rather than Lecce.
The accommodation were unfortunately hit and miss. read more The hotels at Naples and Bari were great (with Naples having a wonderful location and Bari a very stylish modern hotel), but the rest left a lot to be desired. Sorrento was the last stop on the tour and was our favourite place we visited, but the hotel was too far from the centre of town, requiring a shuttle bus there and back, unless one was willing to walk on the narrow road with no footpath.
Two other hotels we stayed at (Cellino San Marco and Castellano Grotte) were terrible, with many on the tour complaining about their remoteness and lack of basic and functional amenities (no in-room wi-fi, no in-room telephones, etc.).
We were always led to believe that Globus tours had better and more centrally-located accommodation than the more budget-friendly Cosmos tours, but on this tour that did not seem to be the case apart from the aforementioned hotels at Naples and Bari. Most people were disappointed in this aspect.
Aside from the accommodation, the tour itself was very enjoyable, with plenty of interesting places to see and much to do. This part of Italy is a wonderful sight to behold.
Trip of a Lifetime

We were blessed with perfect June weather to enjoy our tour through Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland & Russia. A mix of travel by bus, ferries, trains, an internal flight and even an over night ferry ride added to the over all tour experience. The city of Copenhagen was amazing and we enjoyed our visit to the Tivoli Gardens.
Norway was just stunning, read more one of the many highlights in Norway would be the ride on the Flam Train. We loved the day trip to Tallinn and could have spent longer there. Russia was in party mode, the atmosphere was electric with "soccer fever". Especially loved the local entertainment on the Romantic Canal Ride in St Petersburg and the Moscow Circus.
My only comment would be Finland forests seemed a bit of an anticlimax after the beauty of Norway. The long 3 day bus ride with 1 night stops was tiring, I did enjoy the Lappish Dinner and the visit to the Husky farm, but would then have preferred an internal flight to Helsinki and spend more time there. Would have liked more variety in Russia, there were too many church visits.
