My sister and I had a wonderful time. The tour director, Serena Campbell was helpful, knowledgeable and well organised. We thoroughly enjoyed the company of all the people on our tour and have made a lots of friends. We loved the accommodation at all the Fairmont hotels. The fine dining dinner inclusions were amazing at Lake Louise and Jasper. We plan read more to visit East Canada in the near future.
The only negative was the hotel in Victoria (Inn at Laurel Point) which was below standard, the room was dated and cabinet door was broken. The photo on the hotel website is misleading as the hotel definitely does not look like what is shown on their website. I believed we were put in the old wing where the accommodation is comparable to a 2 to 3 stars motel. One of the couples paid extra $90 per night to stay in the new wing.
Jemma from Global Journeys was very helpful with my booking and was prompt to respond to queries. I would recommend Global Journeys and Globus to my friends and I hope Globus will seriously consider and listen to the feedback regarding Inn at Laurel Point.
We had a wonderful time on the spirt to the Rockies staying in fantastic accommodation. The guide was a local and full of interesting knowledge.

My husband and I had a fantastic time on this tour. Would highly recommend it, we found it well paced, the group on the tour were a great bunch. Our guide Colleen was amazing. She went way beyond looking after us, thoroughly professional but extremely fun to be around. Colleen was a wealth of knowledge and very informative. Our accommodation was great, read more rooms were neat and tidy the meals included were all really good. This is a great tour that Globus have. Must also say a big thank you to Juliet from Global Journeys for helping me with the booking of the tour. After my million and one questions that I asked Juliet she was always straight onto answering my emails and always extremely pleasant on the phone. She was such a tremendous help.
Great holiday, really enjoyed Spain, Portugal and Morocco. My wife and I had a great time. The hotels were great (except Morocco!). The included tours were great along with optional tours and dinners.
Great tour which delivered exactly what we wanted. The memories will last for a long time. The visit to Normandy was a real eye opener for us. Mont St Michael was amazing, as was the Loire Valley Chateaux.
Everything about this tour was fantastic. Accommodation at the Fairmonts was first class
Our tour guide Anette was exceptional, with her knowledge and attention to detail. My two days on the Rocky Mountaineer train was an incredible experience with extremely professional staff. And of course all the places we went to with such incredible scenery made read more this such a special trip. I would also say that it was very good value for money considering the accommodation and the places visited.
A well organised worry free holiday which included many coach stops and included excursions to enjoy the highlights of this very picturesque area. Good hotel accommodation, central and clean. Had a good age mix of travelers who got on well. Would definitely recommend Global Journeys and use them again.
This was an exceptional holiday, broken into two parts. First we toured through the Grandeur of the Canadian Rockies, spectacular and beautiful could barely describe it. Canada opened it's soul to us and we delighted in her form. Our guide was a witty and intelligent gentleman whose enthusiasm for his country and its history he graciously imparted on read more to each of us. We had an extraordinary group who melded harmoniously, forming some lifelong friendships from our twelve days together. The hotels were first rate, our coach and driver guided us through the Canadian countryside and cities with expert ease. The chosen restaurants for group evening dinners were top quality and the food was exceptional. Our Hotel check-in process was streamlined so well it all went off without a glitch. Full marks to Globus and the organization working in the background.
For those of us traveling on to the Cruise liner, the transfer process was well managed. This being the next part of our adventure, we were not to be disappointed. The ship was fantastic, the service was always excellent, the selection of food was first rate, the rooms were very comfortable. Everyone on the ship was very friendly, helpful and polite. The decor was just exceptional, being a smaller vessel we never felt overcrowded with about 1200 to 1400 on board.
The Cruise was something special to behold, we were subject to some of the most beautiful scenery and waterways that took our breath away. Along the way, we were always allowed sufficient time to explore some of the quaint towns and embark on extra activities to suit all tastes. The evening entertainment was varied, hilarious with added intimacy to embrace all comers.
Overall it was a fantastic twenty-day tour that left wanting to stay a bit longer.
The tour was varied and interesting. We enjoyed the different excursions and modes of travel. One thing that was disappointing was the Swiss dinner, we were jammed in like sardines. It was a very good tour.
My husband and I travelled on the Globus 25 day tour of Britain and Ireland in Depth in July/August this year. We saw lots of wonderful places over the journey and enjoyed it all immensely. The scenery was picturesque particularly in Ireland and Scotland and I loved the Highlands in Scotland. We were lucky enough to be in Edinburgh for the Military read more Tattoo which a was a marvellous experience and well worth going to. The tour was well organised and our Tour Director Jeff and Driver Kevin were amazing. The crowd on our coach were all friendly and we all got along very well, they were always punctual and hopefully we can catch up with some of them again.
The tour was full on and unfortunately we didn't stop for long in many places to have a bit of a relax. The weather in some parts was wet and we missed seeing much of the Ring of Kerry as it was wet and misty that day but overall the weather was not too bad and didn't stop us from sightseeing. I would recommend Globus as a tour company, they were very well organised and I liked the itinerary more than some of the others offered. The hotels we stayed in were all pretty good, some better than others but that was to be expected. We had no complaints with any of them. My only suggestion is that it would be nice if more hotels offered a more reasonable laundry service or a guest laundry on site as travelling for that amount of time, washing becomes a bit of an issue. In Killarney the hotel offered to wash a bag of clothes for 20 Euros which most people on the coach used and found it very helpful.
We didn't do many of the optional excursions but the ones we did were really enjoyable. I really liked the extra tour of Liverpool which I found very interesting. Overall we both had a great time on our tour and would recommend it to anyone. Madeline at Global Journeys did a wonderful job of booking our travel for us and would happily book with them again.
If you want to see a lot in a short amount of time, this is the tour. Spend a lot of time on the coach, leave at 8am and get to hotels around 5-4.30. Many meals provided. Welsh night and Ceremony of the Haggis was great. Other optional tours OK. Hotels good though we were given bathrooms better suited to those on the tour with reduced mobility who had read more an ordinary bathroom with shower over a bath. The only down side was insufficient time st Edinburgh castle. Need to go back independently. Booking with Global Journeys and Jemma was trouble free.
We went on this Eastern Canada trip with Globus in July. Weather was quite hot everywhere. We had a full bus load of people (Canadians, Americans & Australians) & everyday we moved seats. Our guide James was excellent, ensuring things went smoothly. Our accommodation was very good & all beds were very comfortable. Only about half of us continued on read more & did the cruise with Holland America on the Maasdam, the cruise was so good. Food was exceptional & drink prices moderate. We even got our laundry done on board, $20 US for as much as you could stuff in the laundry bag. Had a wonderful optional extra to Prince Edward Island to visit the home of "Anne of Green Gables". Georgie at Global Journeys handled our trip booking & she is very efficient & helpful. We had a wonderful holiday, Eastern Canada is beautiful & recommend everyone to visit.
Had the best time on the coach part with Globus tours, our tour guide James Saunders was great and had so much info on all parts, and also liked how our pick ups and transfers where done. Would do another tour with them.
Excellent itinerary for a tour around Portugal 12Portugal in DepthMarilyn & David, NSW, Australia, Jul 2018
This was a well planned itinerary visiting many places of interest. The hotels were of a very good standard and all were centrally located. The tour guide and driver were excellent and the included meals were of a high standard.
This trip was called "Best of Norway" and it certainly didn't disappoint. We were blessed with good weather, which enhanced our appreciation of the natural beauty of this country. There was 'wow' factor every day. Highlights included the Flam Railway trip, the circular drive around the Hardangarfjord, which is the second longest fjord in Norway and read more the rail trip back to Oslo from Bergen. The road was at times high with many hairpin bends, but thanks to the expertise of our driver, Simon, we were able to relax and thoroughly enjoy the incredibly beautiful scenery.
The optional cruise on the Aurlandsfjord, an arm of the Sognefjord (the largest in Norway) at Flam, is a must, especially if the weather is fine and clear. The accommodation was of a high standard. A special treat was a stay at the historic hotel in Ullensvang, which is situated in an idyllic setting between the snow capped mountains (even in summer) and the Hardangerfjord. Another optional tour - a bus trip to the hills behind Oslo, followed by a harbourside dinner, was also well worthwhile.
Be aware that Norway is an extremely expensive place, so I believe this tour is reasonably priced. A lovely touch by Globus was to include a glass of wine on the nights that an evening meal was included. There was a great balance between organised tours and free time. Thanks to our guide, Peter, for his knowledge and courtesy. Top marks Globus for this itinerary and top marks Georgie for her usual efficiency in arranging our booking.
A relaxing journey through Denmark, Sweden and Norway 3Weiyuan , ACT, Australia, Jul 2018
I liked the itinerary and the pace of the tour. Our guide Adelheid is very knowledgeable. The included dinner in a local restaurant in Aarhus was excellent. You felt you were welcome and the food was delicious.
We had a wonderful holiday each day fulfilled with a new and exciting experience, weather was marvellous, Rocky Mountaineer a trip of a lifetime, cruise relaxation and breathtaking views. The bus group was lovely - half of group Australia and half Americans - we were 35 all up. Would have liked at least two days in each place, found bus tour amazing read more but very tiring. Felt that we were living out of suitcase, nevertheless it’s the only way to cover a lot of territory. We had an amazing holiday and hope to experience another part of the word in the near future.
Everything was good right from the time we arrived at our hotel. The tour director and driver of the bus were excellent. All excursions were enjoyable and the guides were great. The food and accommodation were good. The mix of fellow tourists were good and we all got on well.
