Fantastic trip. saw all the things that were important to us plus more. The tour guide was very informative and the bus was clean and comfortable. The days were full but had more optional experiences than regular ones which were part of the tour. This was unexpected as we had previously done the best of Britain tour which had more planned tours as read more part of trip and less optional ones where you had to pay extra for. (something to be aware of when selecting a tour) we certainly had a lot of free time with this tour as decided against some of the optional experiences, that seemed pricey.
We could not have had a more relaxed trip. Over all we would certainly recommend Trafalgar to anyone. The one negative I do have is the quality of the meals provided, were a bit below average, Not much choice of what we ate and quite often the entree could have been part of the main course, but was separated just to appear like you were having another course! eg: frozen mixed veg entree, and chop and potato main course. Part of the pleasure of the holiday is the food, so was disappointing at times, along with the cheaper wines.

Everything went like clockwork. The tour director was fabulous, attentive, extremely organised, very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. The itinerary was excellent and the sights and experiences will remain life long memories. Global Journeys was once again fantastic to deal with. Hannah was always professional and efficient even when sometimes read more I asked ridiculous questions and 2nd guessed her answers, I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again. Thank you Hannah.
Our Trafalgar tour of Italy took us to all the places we wanted to go, without the hassle of arranging our own transport or hotels. It was a huge advantage to skip the long lines at attractions and also to know our luggage was taken care of while in transit. The tour director was super friendly and knowledgeable and our very capable driver made us feel read more safe and comfortable. The hotels were of a much higher standard than we expected, apart from the last one right at Rome airport. There were some early mornings but overall the pace was great and made sure we saw as much as possible. There was still plenty of free time on your own - especially if you didn't do all the optional extras. Italy is a fabulous destination - the sights, the food, the wine - when can we go back?
The trip was fabulous. People friendly. The tour director and driver were outstanding. Thanks Hannah again for the fast and easy booking.
A Memorable and Educational Canadian Adventure 17
Spectacular Canadian Rockies with Rocky Mountaineer and Alaska Cruise

Over the past fortnight, since returning from our wonderful adventure, we have had a marvellous time sorting through the thousands, literally thousands, of photos and videos we took of this spectacular part of the world. There were many highlights in the three weeks but the day spent in Glacier Bay stands out for me. Possibly because we visited in mid read more summer, or more likely because of good luck, we experienced excellent visibility this day ( after the early morning fog lifted! ) as we did in the Rockies too, viewing peaks and summits not seen for weeks prior to our visit. Glacier Bay was a definite prerequisite for our trip because of friends' advice. Now we strongly recommend choosing an itinerary including Glacier Bay when cruising the Inside Passage.
We have been regular overseas travellers but this was our first experience of a fully organised tour. This Trafalgar tour met all our expectations. The organisation was seamless, with punctuality, cleanliness and comfort featuring. The Tour Director and Coach Driver were both outstanding. The passion and knowledge of the Tour Leader was a special feature of the tour. We learnt so much of the history, geography, geology and anthropology of Western Canada while at the same time being entertained with humour and an easygoing caring manner. It was especially wonderful to have luggage organised each day, to find it waiting in your hotel room, and not once was there a hitch with our luggage. This is a great help for us seniors!
All the accommodation was of a high standard. We enjoyed the variety of styles and appreciated the convenient position of the hotels in the towns.
Thank you Yvonne for your work in planning and booking our trip. We found the online booking process quite seamless too and really appreciated your quick responses to any queries and your immediate availability. The written information we received certainly covered every detail of the tour and every component was met. On hindsight we would choose to do the cruise part of the tour last rather than the Rocky Mountaineer. Cruising is very relaxing and although the luxury of the Gold Class Rocky Mountaineer experience was breathtaking, and an experience I fully recommend to others, we encountered some bad luck. A four and a half hour delay at the beginning of day one resulted in all passengers leaving the train at 7pm and completing the journey, a three hour trip, in buses. Train delays are common, we learnt, but the length of this delay was exceptional. We have since received an email from the Rocky Mountaineer offering us $300.00 pp compensation which we accepted but as yet we have not received it. Had this delay occurred on day two our flight home may have been jeopardised. In light of this we believe it would be wise to suggest travellers spend a night in a hotel at the conclusion of the train journey rather than going directly to the airport for the long flight home.
In conclusion let me say the tour you booked provided us a magnificent experience. We will wholeheartedly recommend Holland America Line cruises, superb, Trafalgar Tours and the unique Rocky Mountaineer experience. Global Journeys will definitely be included in our recommendations and if we are fortunate enough to travel again we will be back in contact.

The trip was well organised, long trip on the bus sometimes but it was bearable. Tour director and bus driver were very nice. The hotels were good but the locations of some hotels were inconvenient, far from the centre of the city. To make the trip great, we did most of the optional tours with extra cost. Overall it was great holiday so I'll travel with Trafalgar again.

We visited two main cities St Petersburg and Moscow. The former was relaxed and beautiful. The latter was crowded and hectic, but well worth the visit. Our guide was most helpful when my wallet was stolen in St Petersburg. Global Journeys was very helpful with the rather torturous process of getting a visa.

Thank you Global Journeys for organizing the best holiday we've ever had. We are a family of five that wanted to see the highlights of Europe through an organized tour group (Trafalgar Tours). The overall tour was superb, well arranged and we had a terrific tour director (thank you Brent Cooper).
The tour was a 21 day Grand European adventure started read more in London and took in Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Monaco, France and back to London. Our other travel companions were a laugh a minute, the sights and scenery were beyond belief (photos don't do justice), accommodation and food was great, we received VIP entry into most popular attraction, and the ongoing historical and explanations from our tour director kept us wanting more. I recommend anyone to holiday with Trafalgar Tours and to use the expertise of Global Journeys to guide you (thanks Jemma Rosen). We are one happy family, but disappointed it is all over now. Guess we better plan the next trip now.

Trafalgar's Traditional Europe is a fabulous experience. You do travel a lot of kilometres in the coach but the opportunity to see so many extraordinary sights is well worth it.
This was a good holiday, operating at the peak of the European season, with the locals enjoying the sunshine. There were lots of buses and cruise ships around. Most locals spoke good English. Our coach was very comfortable, and the tour guide and drivers were excellent. Our guide, Lasse, really worked to look after us and keep us entertained and read more informed on the bus. There were 47 tourists, mainly older people from Australia, Canada and the US. It was a harmonious group with no 'troublemakers'. The hotels and food were OK, but apart from some local foods, there was nothing special.
The sightseeing was good, and I would recommend the trip to others. There were some long driving days, which bothered some people, but I rather liked these. I feel that I have acquired a knowledge of Scandinavia. The included sightseeing was good, and overall, the optional tours were worthwhile, covering natural and social history as well as restaurants and experiences. We spent about 1500 euros on optionals.

Scenery was amazing. Both the diver and tour director were excellent. This is our 5th booking through Hannah Campbell of Global Journeys. Fast and efficient. Once again many thanks to Hannah.
This is my third (my husband's first) Trafalgar tour and as usual the quality of the overall tour was terrific. Our tour director Diego was very informative and helpful and Jose was an excellent driver. A great team indeed, which allowed us to completely relax and enjoy the sights and experiences knowing we were well looked after. We also enjoyed the read more company of our fellow travellers from Australia, New Zealand and the USA. The tour was well paced and overall well balanced. We would never have covered the distances stress free had we hired a car and travelled on our own. Especially driving on the other side of the road! We would highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing time. The Alaskan cruise was excellent and the Rocky Mountains tour and Rocky Mountaineer experience was terrific.
The whole Bohemian June 23- 8 July 2017 tour was organized brilliantly and our tour guide Justine M is a vocal and passionate wealth of knowledge on the East European countries fight for existence in the turbulent regimes and wars they have survived. She is also a lovely, diligent and caring tour host. The group was varied and well suited to the mammoth read more Bohemian tour area coverage. Hotels were brilliant and very local to the cities visited. Local tour guides were fantastic.. especially Koty and Yolante. We'd go again.
A wonderful trip. Perhaps on our sightseeing with specialist guides time can be set aside to take photographs as memories can fade but not the photos. Both Justine and Kris were great each in their own way, definitely made the tour safe and enjoyable. Yvonne and Global Journeys you are the best. Hope to have another holiday in 2018.
An introduction to European countries, covering the main attractions. Fast paced with a focus on packing in the attractions. Tour guide was knowledgeable on European history and did everything to make the tour run smoothly.
In its current form a very disappointing trip - well below the standard of Trafalgar's UK/European trips. Too many low lights and not nearly enough highlights. The Global Journeys involvement was professional as usual and I will continue to book other trips through them.

Highlights of Eastern Europe

This was a wonderful tour. I learned so much about the history of these amazing countries particularly around the time of WW2. Seeing Austwitz and Birkenau and visiting the sites of the ghettos are haunting memories which will stay with me for ever.
Most of the hotels were fantastic and a couple were a bit ordinary . They were all in good locations read more and plenty of time was included to relax. The organisation at the hotels was excellent and our tour guide quickly sorted out any problems.
Personally I would have liked two or three of the city highlights tours to have begun after 10.00am so we could get up later and really enjoy the glorious breakfasts. Perhaps the optional tours could be first on these days and the city tour afterwards. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable and thought provoking experience.

Global Journeys did a great job of making the tour happen! As promised we toured all around the major cities and had great sunny weather to boot! Coach travel and WIFI is top notch. Hotels were mainly above average but a few somewhat remote (Munich) so hard to then go back and sightsee. We visited the highlights of each town especially the Altstadt read more (old town) areas and castles/churches. Quite a contrast to the modern shopping available in other parts of a few towns!
