Wow what a fantastic trip and the group we travelled with were a lot of fun. The tour director(Ben Conte) was top class and kept us entertained with his great stories. Timing was perfect in early October (fall) as the colour of the trees were spectacular. We spent additional time in New York before the trip which was highly recommended. We loved read more the vibe and the pre tour trip out to the statue of liberty was a great icebreaker.
All the destinations had something to offer though Niagara falls was amazing, particularly the optional helicopter flight. We loved the history and character of Quebec City and would have loved to spend more time there and for those who love museums and monuments you cant beat Washington, what a great place to visit.
Overall the trip went very smoothly and just flew by. We were sorry to see it end and we are already thinking about other places we can visit with Trafalgar. Thanks for a great trip and the fond memories.

Juliet at Global Journeys was fabulous to deal with. Extremely efficient and get back to me within the day with any queries (even when I was overseas). Our trip was great with around 70% Aussies and great range of ages between approx. 45-70 so great group to mix with. Our guide Andrew was extremely knowledgeable with history of the countries which read more was fascinating.
As this was my first bus trip I had no expectations but it was busier than I thought it would be. Early mornings and full days and exhausted at the end of most days, but we did do and see a lot. So if you are thinking of a lazy, laid-back holiday this isn't for you. The accommodation was great and the quality of the food was also really good and a great variety.

I can not recommend this trip enough. As a single traveller I was initially a bit apprehensive as it was my first major overseas trip and my first on my own.....but there was nothing to be apprehensive about. Our tour director, Kevin, was amazing and made everyone feel welcome and part of the group. My fellow travellers, awesome and I have made some read more life long friends.

Trafalgar’s Scenic Parks Tour of US National Parks covers some truly spectacular scenery in an action-packed 15 days beginning and ending in Las Vegas. Having never travelled with Trafalgar before, we chose this trip based on the itinerary and both the tour and the company exceeded our expectations. The itinerary was well-constructed with a good balance read more of stunning scenery, historically significant places, and quirky experiences. I would not change one thing.
We were incredibly lucky to have wonderful weather that showed the National Parks off in all their glory. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better, another incredible landscape opened up before us. Our fantastic tour guide, Monte, taught us about the history of the American Native Tribes and the Wild West, took us to quirky little road stops along the way, and generally looked after every small detail. Our bus was quite spacious and very comfortable, and our driver Mark was absolutely meticulous about safety and cleanliness. Our hotels were excellent, especially where we stayed in National Park Lodges. This is a very busy trip with early starts and some long days of travel, but wonderful value. We would definitely recommend this trip with Trafalgar to anyone who loves scenery and history, and we will certainly travel with Trafalgar again.

Trafalgar is good value for money and offers a wide range of travel itineraries to suit every whim and taste.
Our tour director Patrick was extremely knowledgeable, highly organised and great fun to travel with. We were a bit worried that 21 days was too long to spend on a coach tour but it flew by and was heaps of fun. Yes it was on the go but there was no other way we could have seen or experienced so much in the timeframe. The Grand European ticked so many read more boxes and was the perfect introduction to Europe for first timers like ourselves.
Hawaii, a place heard about in songs and movies. Lives up to the image, everywhere is a postcard picture. The hotels were great to start and just kept getting better with each change. Breakfast on an open balcony on top of a black lava rock looking out at the Pacific Ocean, later that night wait for the lights to come on and watch the manta rays come read more to the surface to feed, or maybe dining sitting beside a lagoon with waterfalls swans and ducks, you get to do all this plus much more.The tour through Hawaii (the Big Island) Volcano national park is spectacular. The roads follow the shore line. Ocean on one side and beautiful mountains on the other. Just great would gladly go back. This was our 4th trip with Global Journeys and our 2nd with Trafalgar, everything went according to plan, no worries.

Had a fantastic time travelling around Switzerland on all the major scenic railways. An organised and knowledgeable tour leader, great travel companions and magnificent mountainous scenery has left us with great memories and fantastic photos. Glad we participated in all the optional experiences, every one was memorable. Thank you!

Tour was a mix of Americans, Canadians and Aussies. A good crowd. Cannot comment on our coach driver Sergio as he didn’t interact with us. He did his job well. Our guide Anna was very friendly and did her job well. Only thing was if you hadn’t done a group tour before she made out you were missing out on things if you didn’t do all the extra options. read more You have to look at all the things you are going to do in the day as well. Because some days were so full and as soon as you were at your hotel you had to be ready for your next paid excursion. Not a lot of time if you want to look around local area. Some hotels not in town areas so you have to make your own way around. Trafalgar didn’t seem to have anything organised for the people to get around if you didn’t take paid excursions.
Last year I travelled with Trafalgar and did Best of Italy Tour. We visited Lake Como and The Italian Lakes District. This gave me an insight into the stunning beauty of The Swiss Alps. The Trafalgar Best Of Switzerland and Austria Tour was stunning. The accommodation in Zurich was excellent and was located at the Airport . It was very easy to connect read more with the city by 10 minute train ride. I was a solo traveller and felt very safe sightseeing day and into the night . I had 3 days on my own prior to the Tour commencing.
Our Tour Director Stephanie was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. We had a diverse group with ages ranging from 15 to 87. I signed up for all of The Optional Experiences that were offered. They were all excellent and enhanced an already fabulous Tour. There were so many highlights that it is hard to single any one out. I loved Zurich, Salzburg, Vienna and Lake Maggiore, Zermatt and Lucerne. Travelling on The Bernina Expess from St Moritz was also an amazing experience.
Our bus driver, Paul was a very safe and cautious driver. The roads that we travelled on at times were very narrow and hard for a coach to negotiate. Paul drove our Coach with amazing expertise.
Our accommodation was a mix of both modern and traditional hotels. All were well located and in safe areas. I would highly recommend this Tour and would also recommend The Optional Experiences. Thank you Georgie Walpole at Global Journeys for all of the planning you did on my behalf.

Had a great holiday; our tour was short but fitted our schedule and hit the key places that I wanted to see. Many thanks to Juliet from Global Journeys for being so accommodating and very pro-active in the planning on what tour would best fit our schedule and what places we wanted to see. Juliet was also very prompt in replying to some questions/clarifications read more I had during our trip. It was great to have her do my holiday booking!
Traveling with Trafalgar was a joy as all the fine details were taken care of and there were no concerns regarding these cities - everything was smoothly carried out with accommodation, road travel, high speed train and local walking tours. We especially loved St Petersburg and Moscow as this encompassed such a diverse and cultural experience. The Baltic read more States were filled with amazing localities to explore - quaint streets with cafes to stroll along and enjoy the ambiance.
The pace was not rushed and we were there during October - the weather was cool but very enjoyable. The high speed train was excellent and arrival in Moscow less than two hours from St Petersburg. Distances traveled between cities were quite reasonable and we arrived with plenty of time to explore the area before sunset.

Surprisingly we were the only Australians on this Trafalgar tour. Unfortunately most of the Americans in this full tour travelled with friends and didn't mix that well despite my going around to every group at the welcome reception and introducing myself.
Great accommodation and included meals. Free time was usually for shopping which I don't enjoy, read more so perhaps more alternatives need to be provided. The trip to Virginia City wasn't that interesting and maybe somewhere else could be considered. Sarah our TD was amazing. She mixed well with all the group and her preparation was entertaining, informative and faultless. We were very lucky to have her.
Global Journeys got a great price for our flights but we were never able to check in online... some thing to do with American Airlines system. I also got my initial boarding pass with the dreaded SSSS for some unknown reason.
Charged full price for Monterey Bay Aquarium despite most of the group being over 65 and entitled to a US$10 discount.

Just finished our 16 day Trafalgar holiday through United Kingdom Ireland. Absolutely fabulous tour with very knowledgeable and professional tour guide. The holiday went smoothly and places visited - too many to mention - were all spectacular Really enjoyed Scotland and Ireland. Accommodation very high standard. Tour coach very comfortable. Experience read more using Global journays made the holiday stress free. We had no problems with bookings and transfers.
My father and I had the most wonderful time on Trafalgar's Scenic Parks Explorer Tour. Everything was well organised and nothing was too much trouble for Tom our tour director and Mauricio our driver. Our group consisted of Americans, English, South Africans and Australians. A very well organised trip by Trafalgar, This is our first trip with Trafalgar, we are impressed by the quality of all services we were getting. Everything went well as per scheduled, We will consider another trip with Trafalgar next year.
Yes we would use Global Journeys again, very efficient and helpful. Iceland was more than we expected. Wild wilderness areas and then scenic coasts and pretty towns. The glaciers were spectacular, the waterfalls jaw dropping with their rainbows. Our driver Ziggy very friendly and a safe driver. Our guide Hildur was a local and was very informative, read more also was not over the top with you had to do things her way, let you make your mind up to do things or not. Accommodation was about three star clean and mostly comfortable. We went in early September, 2017. Were lucky enough to see the northern lights three or four times. People were a mix of Americans, Aussies and kiwis. All in all a great experience.

What a wonderful and memorable trip! Russia was my highlight and plus I celebrated my birthday in Moscow and crossing the border to Belarus. The tour director was absolutely fantastic to me and has made this trip a special one. Trafalgar gave me a silk scarf made in Russia, yeah!
I must thank our driver too who drove us safely, comfortably, and read more was always helping us. I simply love Trafalgar Tours as my experiences with them have been super good and will always travel with Trafalgar. The hotels we stayed in were in prime locations, breakfasts were delicious, good hotels, excursions were fun and overall I would say the professionalism of the Tour Director and the driver were brilliant.
