Fabulous 21 Grand Tour of Europe 11 Grand European , New Zealand, May 2018
We had a wonderful 21 days travelling through Europe. Our Tour Director Jacqui Stark was fantastic, her organisation and in-depth knowledge of each and every destination was outstanding. The days were busy and we felt we got a wonderful ‘taste’ of each place we visited. We would highly recommend booking a Trafalgar Tour through Global Journeys as read more Leanne made the whole process seamless.
Delightful holiday 4 Best of Greece , NSW, Australia, May 2018
The whole experience was incredible. Our local specialist was an incredible woman with a wealth of knowledge. She was so patient and cheerful with everyone. The itinerary was well planned and we never felt rushed. Most recommended restaurants were incredible (some alright-ish). We formed incredible bonds with the rest of the group and created unforgettable experiences.
20 day Britain and Ireland Grandeur 12 Britain and Ireland Grandeur , NSW, Australia, May 2018
A great holiday with so many inclusions. Our guide was very knowledgeable about our destinations and helpful. Booking with Global Journeys was, once again, easy and fuss free. Thank you Georgie for your continued professionalism and enthusiasm.
Enjoyed the trip thoroughly 1 Highlights of Eastern Europe , NSW, Australia, Apr 2018
Enjoyed the trip thoroughly, we had sunshine every day of the trip, had great fellow travellers and the cities visited in this trip have all been restored to its former glory. The Tour Director and Driver were excellent and took good care of us. Booking with Global Journeys was hassle free.
Amazing trip 8 Grand European , QLD, Australia, Apr 2018
Really lovely holiday, we absolutely enjoyed it! Our tour director, Patrick Sidney, was the best he was so knowledgeable and organized to make our trip worry-free. We had great experiences with highlights including dinner in Vatican, Vienna concert, Moulin Rouge show in Paris etc. We love Paris, Rome, Venice, Assisi, Nice and all other beautiful places! read more We will recommend all the optional activities as they are very enjoyable and often we can get into places before the public or in the best timing. The only thing that we fell not quite perfect is probably some of the hotels we stayed in not quite 4-star standard and a couple of the dinners in hotels were less desirable.

Global Journeys and our consultant Madeline was great throughout the booking process, and they have the most competitive price too!
Interesting and Enjoyable 1 Irish Highlights (Winter) , WA, Australia, Mar 2018
The Irish highlights tour was a great way of seeing Ireland in miniature. You got to see the main areas. I found that if I went wandering through the villages instead of having lunch it gave me a full view of day to day life with the locals, popping into their supermarkets was a great way of seeing everything and grabbing a sandwich at the same time.
Ticked all the boxes ... and more!! 10 Splendours of Japan with Hiroshima , QLD, Australia, Mar 2018
A fabulous trip that exceeded all my expectations in every way. Hotels were exceptional - 5 star all the way with excellent proximity to everything. The bigger the city though, the smaller the room!! Included meals were excellent - again better than expected - certainly for a person who isn't usually wild about Japanese food.

Our guide, Yama, was read more exceptional, and ran the trip like clockwork - which is how everything in Japan seems to run. Ours was the PERFECT departure time for cherry blossoms in the coastal and lower areas and snow in the Alps. The highlights for me were the night in the traditional ryokan, the glorious views of Mt Fuji, Hiroshima, the thousands of Tori gates and Miyajima.

The trip was fairly full on with some quite early starts and late finishes and the walking was substantial - no less than 10kms per day. The optional tours (4) did not represent great value - especially the one pub meal where the food was not all that great and the concept of sharing was not the same as ours!! The tea ceremony was only 30 minutes long. The Gion theatre tour was more interesting and we could not have done that one on our own as its very popular and certainly the best of the optional tours.

I was surprised at how expensive EVERYTHING is in Japan. A can of coke at dinner - $10 (no drinks were included with any of our dinner meals - so all represented additional extras). No such thing as diet drinks - the Japanese don't need them. Vending machines are everywhere and much cheaper for drinks and ice creams. Ice cram varieties are amazing and delicious and well worth trying.

The only thing I didn't like was the crowds of people - we queued for everything - even when we had bookings. The congestion on streets made walking up some streets really difficult and not great for strolling. Can highly recommend the trip as a great introduction to an amazing country and culture.
Amazing 10 Day Imperial Europe 1 Imperial Europe (Winter) , VIC, Australia, Mar 2018
We were so lucky to have a wonderful and caring 2 people, our driver Milan and tour director Jeffrey. They gave and provide their best for the 40 people who did the tour. It's well organised and everyone really had an enjoyable time. Meeting and getting to know new friends. The only problem is going back to the airport. Although, I mentioned before read more we left if we can get a transport to the airport, and came back to me that it was okay... at the end, we still need to provide our own transport. Aside from that, I am looking forward to do it again.
UK Tour 1 Real Britain (Winter) , WA, Australia, Mar 2018
The UK Tour was good but more towns in each country should be offered. What really made the holiday good for me was Kate Allen (Guide) and the bus driver Terry. They really work well together and tried to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves.

One complaint was the last day, being put on the sidewalk outside the hotel after having everything read more done done for you previously wasn't very nice. Also Kate organised the rooms the hotel gave us but on that last day this was not so and I received a room next to the elevators and was no bigger than a matchbox, so this put a dampener on the holiday.
Splendid Splendours of Japan tour 7 Splendours of Japan with Hiroshima , VIC, Australia, Mar 2018
I thoroughly enjoyed this 13 day tour with Trafalgar. The itinerary took us to the highlights of Japan in a comfortable tour that ticked all the boxes. The accommodation was very good and the included meals were mostly excellent. Our Tour Director really made this trip. Masa was very helpful, considerate and certainly gave us just the right amount read more of information at the right time.

I would have expected all coaches to have WIFI at this price point, and that did detract a little from the overall value for money. The sightseeing and explanations were excellent. I highly recommend this tour, it is not cheap but certainly value for money.
Wonderful Winter Holiday 2 , New Zealand, Jan 2018
The trip was very fast paced and packed a lot of sights in. Jella the Tour Director was fantastic and there were no issues on the site. I am still amazed at how many sights we saw. We did most of the optional tours and loved them all. Moulin Rouge was exceptional and so was the Mountain Cable Car in Lucerne. We would recommend this trip to all. read more The weather was very, very good for that time of the year. All the hotels were excellent.
Hawaiian Discovery   2 Hawaiian Discovery (Moderate) , QLD, Australia, Jan 2018
Unknown to us this tour was merged with another tour out of the USA which was a three Island tour which started two days before our four island tour started and finished a few days early than our tour. Our tour guide sent us an email prior to arrival saying that some of the optional extras shown in our Trafalgar documents were not available as they read more had been undertaken in the days prior to our arrival. This resulted in a tense meeting with the tour guide on our arrival day where we requested that the optional extras be made available to us.

We resolved the issue and were able to undertake the optional extras excluded on some of the other islands rather than Oahu. The tour guide once on board with our requests did an excellent job of arranging the optional extras for us. This was our 7th Trafalgar tour and the first time we have experienced this problem.
Iceland in winter   5 Iceland Highlights (Winter) , VIC, Australia, Jan 2018
A week in an Icelandic winter did not disappoint despite the short daylight hours. The scenery, and ever-changing landscapes are just amazing so bring a big memory card. The weather is really unpredictable though, so pack clothing you can layer, thermals and good winter-proof coat waterproof boots. Trafalgar provide "crampon's" to fit over shoes so read more this definitely helped with the icy paths. I was surprised how expensive Iceland is so be sure to keep to stick to a budget as its very easy to overspend. Of course the northern lights was the number one thing to see, however due to poor weather and lack of solar activity it was not meant to be this time.
Nice short intro into Irelands stunning landscapes, history and irish folklore. 4 Irish Highlights (Winter) , VIC, Australia, Dec 2017
I toured Ireland a couple of years ago in summer, so it was a nice change to visit in winter. The landscape and scenery are just a beautiful despite the limited daylight and the weather being much colder. Allie was a knowledgeable tour guide and Tom a very skilled coach driver - they were both personable and always happy to accommodate our asks, nothing read more seemed too difficult which made the whole experience very enjoyable. The tour covers the standard Ireland history and folklores but I would have liked to see more Irish food options, especially with the hotel meals. The Trafalgar site doesn't suggest clothing, but its pretty wet and windy so pack light layered clothing, thermals and weatherproof jacket/shoes as you are constantly disrobing as you get on and off the coach.
Last minute booking   1 Imperial Europe (Winter) , WA, Australia, Dec 2017
A very last minute booking turned out to be a wonderful lifetime experience. I had been waiting to go to Germany for 25 years, since my Contiki USA tour. Global were fantastic in organising everything that I needed, all online.

The driver, tour manager, fellow passengers were all great. The optional excursions events were of a high standard and read more very enjoyable. I definitely would recommend both Global and Trafalgar to anyone looking at booking online and touring in a coach.

So not only did I see parts of Bavaria - Munich and Schliersee but also Prague - Czech Republic, Bratislava - Slovakia, Budapest - Hungary, Vienna and Salzburg in Austria.
Iceland   1 Iceland Highlights (Winter) , QLD, Australia, Dec 2017
We had an amazing trip with Trafalgar in Iceland and it was a Christmas we'll never forget. We had an excellent Icelandic tour guide and driver who helped us understand the culture and history of this unique and incredible country. We would love to go back.
Very enjoyable Christmas markets holiday 3 Christmas Markets of Austria, Germany and Switzerland , SA, Australia, Dec 2017
Ulf was an excellent tour director. Overall good value for money. Loved the markets in Vienna. We were very lucky with weather, enough snow to be picturesque without impacting on travel. Some fun fellow travellers.
Beautiful Prague   2 Prague, Vienna and Budapest (Winter) , WA, Australia, Dec 2017
This tour was primarily about Christmas markets but also about revisiting Vienna and Budapest this time during winter. It was the first time visiting Prague and what a wonderful city this is. It would have been great if the hotel was more centrally located as it would have been great to be able to step out and wander through the old town and explore read more all the little alleys. Even though it is winter and very cold, we had no problems getting around and it certainly wasn't as busy as it is during summer. The tour was fine but we have been on better Trafalgar tours.
Best of Greece   1 Best of Greece (Winter) , NSW, Australia, Nov 2017
Weather was terrible the first day of our tour when we took on the Acropolis. As a measure--sixteen people were killed outside Athens from flash flooding the day before. Water got into my camera and it was eventually ruined. Thankfully the weather turned good thereafter.

Both the tour director and driver are very professional and performed well. read more All the on location guides are excellent ,armed with in depth knowledge of the historical significant of the region and the events impact on the Western civilisation.

For daily lunch, it would be better if the director offer more on-location eatery tips rather than took the entire group to a restaurant as many don't prefer a full mid-day meal. Being late in the season, there were not many shops open at the stops. Early heads-up would have helped those who needed to fill their shopping list. The be-my-guest dinner was "average". My lamb was over-cooked and so was my wife's chicken. The after dinner entertainment was lively when almost all participated...except those taking video.
A great taste of the UK   1 Real Britain (Winter) , NSW, Australia, Nov 2017
