Trafalgar Spectacular Rockies Tour 1 Spectacular Canadian Rockies , NSW, Australia, May 2017
Kerry and myself really loved this spectacular Rockies tour, this is our third Trafalgar tour and we loved each one, we totally enjoyed walking on the glazier with the snow falling and drinking baileys, each day was special with different activities, tour guide and bus driver were wonderful, would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you Trafalgar.
A great tour that covered a lot of Europe 2 Grand European , NSW, Australia, May 2017
It was a fantastic experience to see a fair bit of Europe, not a lot of free time though due to covering a lot of interesting places. The fantastic Tour Director made the trip A- Grade and a lot of fun as did the nice coach driver. I would recommend Global Journeys again for there great price and service and also Trafalgar for putting together a great tour, very professional.
Contrasts of Switzerland 7 Contrasts of Switzerland , NSW, Australia, May 2017
The train journeys through Switzerland highlighted the spectacular scenery of the mountains, lakes and countryside. Stopping at cities like St. Moritz and Zermatt gave the most beautiful sights of snow-capped mountains, including the Matterhorn, while Lucerne showcased the beauty of the lakes as well as the history of the country with its incredible read more buildings. It was a wonderful and unforgettable journey. Travelling on the train allowed us to to stand and wander, giving us the opportunity to view the landscapes from either side and behind the train. The only drawbacks were having to change trains and not having enough time to explore Geneva. But otherwise, a great experience!
Wonderful trip through Southern Ireland 3 Irish Highlights , WA, Australia, May 2017
The trip was a non stop adventure through Southern Ireland. Experiencing local cuisine, beautiful countryside, history and so much more. I found all the staff from Trafalgar extremely helpful, from before I even left for my holiday to the shuttle dropping me off at the airport to come home. A truly wonderful holiday.
Highlights of Scotland tour 1 Best of Scotland , NSW, Australia, May 2017
Great tour for a week long journey through Scotland. Covered all the big highlights and had some great optional excursions. The guide and bus driver were excellent.
Hassle Free Siteseeing Trip 6 Spain, Morocco and Portugal , VIC, Australia, May 2017
We had a fast paced and busy trip. Little time to relax but excellent for updating knowledge of places we have never been before. Morocco was a little confronting but our tour director Raymond and driver Pedro were able to handle any problems in a relaxed manner making it a pleasant journey for all. A little more time in Portugal would have been nice. read more We did most of the optional extras and would recommend these to get the best from the trip. I would not hesitate to recommend Trafalgar as a coach tour company.
Holiday of a lifetime   12 Spectacular Canadian Rockies with Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, May 2017
My husband and I booked our Canada and Alaska tour through Global Journeys and it was absolutely the best holiday we've ever had. We started with the Alaskan cruise then toured the Rockies with Trafalgar. Everything was so well planned and exactly what we'd been hoping for from this long dreamed of trip.

The accommodation everywhere was excellent, read more the food was incredible, the sites visited are bucket list worthy and we've made heaps of news friends. We took up a lot of the extra options available on both the cruise and Trafalgar tour and they were all worth every cent. Even without the optional extras though the trip would have been brilliant. I doubt we would have seen or experienced half as much if we weren't on the tour.

I would recommend one change for most though which is tour first then cruise. The land tour is fairly fast paced with early starts.
Great time In Western USA   4 , NSW, Australia, May 2017
Stayed at some very nice hotels and were given lovely inclusions on the tour. Our tour guide and coach driver were excellent and gave us a smooth and worry free experience. The tour was at times fast paced, but we did have some distances to cover in certain areas. Highlights included Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Yosemite and meeting some wonderful fellow travellers.
Wonderful trip to Britain & Ireland 2 Britain and Ireland Highlights , NSW, Australia, May 2017
First time travelling with tour company - Trafalgar, I'm impressed. Our tour guide Paul is very professional and knowledgeable. Also hats off to all the coach drivers - Richard and others. It's fast paced given the time and places visited, but Trafalgar arranged timing very well. The only slight disappointment was the visit to Guinness Brewery in Dublin. read more It isn't a brewery and not everyone drinks beer, so I would suggest including it as an optional experience. Everything else is wonderful. It's also my first time booking the tour with Global Journeys. I highly recommend their service. The staff - Hannah and others are very efficient. They responded my queries almost on the same day. I definitely will look to book with them again for my next holiday.
Well planned and stressless holiday 5 Iconic Rockies and Western Canada , QLD, Australia, May 2017
Holland American Line's cruise to Alaska was outstanding. Glad we chose the on land excursions through them as it was hassle free and seamless. Trafalgar was well organised and the hotels outstanding in both location and comfort. The early morning starts were great as we often gained access to sites before the main tourist crowds came.

Only downside read more was we were not aware of the very large group size they Trafalgar run in USA and Canada. Did not expect a group of 52! This was a bit annoying. This did take some of the shine off the trip; it's a lot of people getting on and off the coach, sitting in Restaurants, trying to squeeze into viewing areas etc. Had not read that on the promotions ( which seems to base a lot of their spiel and information on its Europe tours- 40 to 45 people). Next time we'll look at the fine print a lot more and maybe not even travel with Trafalgar.
Celebration of the majesty of the Canadian Rockies 5 Iconic Rockies and Western Canada , NSW, Australia, May 2017
The itinerary and the enthusiasm, organisational manner and knowledge shown by our Trafalgar's Tour Director, Dan Wilson, were excellent. Many highlights: breakfast in the Butchart Gardens, Vancouver Island, and its early morning light in the glorious spring-time gardens; walking through the village of Whistler led by Wendel and a visit to the First read more Nations Cultural centre; driving along mountain roads confident in the care and skills of Trafalgar's driver, Bill; early morning gondola ride to the peak at Sulphur Mountain, Banff; travelling up to and onto the Athabasca glacier; experiencing the snow in Jasper and wild-life sightings.

The Gold-Leaf Rocky Mountaineer train journey from Jasper to Vancouver does not represent value for money. Having an aisle seat on the train was a significant disadvantage, and I have written to the Rocky Mountaineer company with my specific comments. There were 52 passengers on the coach, and I would have preferred a smaller group. We all seemed to get on well enough and I was very happy with my seating companion on the coach.
Fantastic Irish Experience 4 Irish Experience , New Zealand, May 2017
This was the best of Ireland, tour director was totally inspiring with the history of both countries and the local guides outstanding. Optional extras a real treat and highly recommended! If you only choose a few of the extras make sure you do the Inishowen peninsular and the giant causeway trip, the Irish Ceilidh evening, the jaunting cart ride through read more the Bourne-Vincent National park and the Kilkenny afternoon pub visit with an introduction to hurling and a great sing along!

Highlight of the holiday was the 'Cabbie trip' in Belfast for a ride through the recent past and a look into both sides of the 'troubles'.
You will be entertained and more than amused to experience that unique Irish hospitality and humour wherever you go.
Western Discoverer 3 , WA, Australia, May 2017
Trafalgar was excellent to travel with, the accommodation was of a very good standard. Our tour director Todd was very knowledgeable & always available to assist with our queries. We got to visit some amazing places, the Grand Canyon being the WOW moment of the trip. Booking with Global Journeys was exceptional service. Michelle handled the booking read more very professionally. Overall a very positive experience with some awesome memories.
Great Highlights of Spain and Portugal 4 Highlights of Spain and Portugal , NSW, Australia, Apr 2017
Booking with Global Journeys was a very convenient way to organise this trip. All Arrangements worked smoothly. The trip to Spain was an excellent way of seeing a lot in a limited time the group of 47 was large with quite a few Americans so some interesting discussions on the new President occurred at mealtimes. We were fortunate to be there in the read more spring many flowers both wild especially poppies and cultivated roses at the Allhambra. The Feria in Seville was amazing. To go to Fatima 3 days before the Pope was eye opening. For us the Allhambra was fantastic.
A Great Experience 4 Tastes and Sounds of the South , QLD, Australia, Apr 2017
This was a great tour. Most of the experiences were exceptional. Could have done with more time in Natchez and perhaps have gone to one less museum in Memphis. Plenty of coverage of civil rights movement but woukd have been good to include something on Underground Railway. All the music related experiences were great and food experiences were excellent. read more As the bus was not full, it was very comfortable. Tour Director was knowledgeable and went out of his way to make things fun. Excellent group of fellow travellers. This was meant to be a relaxed tour and it was but perhaps there was a little bit too much free time particularly in Nashville.
Great 16 day bus tour of the UK and Ireland worry free trouble free. Just sit back and enjoy the sights. 9 Britain and Ireland Panorama , VIC, Australia, Apr 2017
Our first coach holiday so we had no pre-conceived idea of what to expect. We got used to travelling with 47 other people, who all turned out to be good fun. Leena our travel guide was excellent, knowledgeable and entertaining. The coach driver Simon was very helpful and an excellent driver - none better. All sights along the journey were interesting read more and enjoyable and accommodation and food were great. All in all a trip that will never be forgotten. For a hassle free holiday there is none better.
Quick look at Japan 4 Splendours of Japan , NSW, Australia, Apr 2017
Nine days is a short tour of Japan, especially as the first and last days are travel days. The tour was well organised and well paced with a balance of planned activities and free time - especially in the centres of Tokyo and Kyoto. The guide was helpful and accommodating with good local insight. The hotels were great with an excellent level of service read more and cleanliness. The tour had a good balance of activities (sushi making, paper making) and visits to temples and sites. The optional activities were mainly dinners and not well attended by the group. As a family of three (15 yr old daughter), it was a great first tour of an interesting and beautiful country - we were lucky enough to be there during cherry blossom time!
Hassle free & well organised 4 Splendours of Japan , WA, Australia, Apr 2017
The best season to visit Japan. The tour director was very friendly, caring & helpful. Clean hotels & bathrooms, and hotels had easy access to shops. Nice to meet some friends during the tour, I will definitely will book my guided tours with Trafalgar. Global Journeys is highly trusted & I'd recommend for the booking of holidays.
Enjoyed the trip all the way 4 Britain and Ireland Highlights , NSW , Australia, Apr 2017
Another wonderful trip with Trafalgar, very nice tour. Great sightseeing, history, culture, religious values, food, hotels are comfy, healthy breakfast etc overall very good. Nice mix of fellow travellers, and our Tour Director, Maria Holzamer, is very knowledgeable about ins and outs of the areas. She was on the go efficiently, and of course she read more presented herself elegantly, fashionable outfit and shoes - bien joué for maria's effort. Local guides were brilliant too, and our driver superb driving skills who took us around and back to the starting point safely. Global Journeys, excellent service, thank you to Hannah Campbell. Will book my next trip via Hannah again. Thanks.
15 Days Best of China with Yangtze Cruise   4 Best of China with Yangtze Cruise , New Zealand, Mar 2017
To start with we had a wonderful tour director in Li Gezhou. He gave us an information sheet with advice of things to be aware of on the first day and as the tour went along he always kept us informed with options etc. At all times Lee was there to help and happy to sort out any problems, he is one of the best tour directors I have had and there have read more been quite a few on all the tours we have done. Beijing was over whelming at first as we had never been surrounded by so many people before. So many cars and people on bicycles and people trying to cross the roads! Even a green walk sign meant nothing! and horn tooting like I have never experienced before - not even in Italy! Nearly drove me batty! After a few days it became part of the norm but there was always something to surprise me and even make me laugh. The hotels ranged from "time to close down" to really top grade. The beds in all of them are hard, but we got use to them. The breakfasts were the same as the hotels ranging from really this is breakfast to wow really is this breakfast?

I managed to climb the first part of the Great Wall. I don't know what I expected but it was amazing, a must do on anyone's bucket list. It was a Chinese holiday so very crowded but I think it would have been crowded anyway considering it is a country of 1.45 billion people, China is a world of its own! Be prepared for crowds wherever you go in China. Also I suggest you need a level of fitness although I wouldn't call myself fit but I did manage to keep up...just! I was really impressed with the shows that we went to so I suggest that you go to them as they were excellent! The lighting and acting etc....don't miss them! The buses and the drivers left a lot to be desired....we felt they needed to think about our comfort and nerves rather than the speed to get anywhere. The state of most of the buses were poor, little or no suspension. We were a small group of only seven so maybe if there were more we would have got bigger better buses. Being a small group had lots of good points to it. We really enjoyed the visit and meal to a family be my guest. China is a place to visit but go with no expectations.
