Cosmos European Masterpiece 3
Jagath & Yamuna Peiris, NSW, Australia, May 2016
We managed to visit quite a lot of places on this tour which otherwise we could not have done on our own. The Tour Director was excellent and had in depth knowledge of the history and places we visited which made it even more interesting to visit those famous land marks. Everyone got on well and it was like a family holiday.
An Enjoyable European Adventure! 7
Mohan & Sunita, VIC, Australia, May 2016
Organisation by Global Journeys, in all aspects of the tour was of an excellent standard. The tour was well organised and stress free. Booking of tour, flights etc by Yvonne were handled professionally and efficiently. The tour director Suzanne was friendly yet professional, with a font of knowledge about each country/city we visited. She provided us read more with cultural information, do's and don'ts, which were very useful. Enzo, the main driver was incredible and skilful in negotiating many tight bends and narrow streets with great skill. We cannot fault the included breakfasts or evening meals, some were excellent whereas others could have been better. Only once there was a major complaint about the quantity and quality of dinner. Accommodation was generally of a high standard in regard to quality and location. Only in Paris we felt lost. The hotel was quite a distance from the city and being day one in a non English speaking country made it difficulty of travel independently. The tour was fast paced but it helped to whet our appetite to return for a longer stay. Germany was too fleeting, we never got a feel for the country. The cruise on the Rhine was not enough, we needed just time to walk in one of the river front towns to appreciate the place. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the All About Europe tour (previously named European Masterpiece) with our fellow travellers.
European Masterpiece 5
Michael Smith, NSW, Australia, May 2016
We started our tour in London and hit the ground running. Arrived at 5.30am and took part in 2 guided tours through Cosmos straight away that day as we could not access our room until the afternoon. Best thing we could have done. Really enjoyed the informative nature of the tour and it has fueled both our desires to see more of the UK. This set the read more scene for the rest of the tour, we took part in almost every optional extra that Cosmos had on offer. They were magnificent. We saw so much of Europe and it was absolutely amazing. For first time travellers it took the worry out of the trip, you were given a wake up call of a morning and had breakfast then off you went to explore what was on offer. If anyone is contemplating this tour all I can say is, go for it!!! Global Journeys organised everything on this end and I highly recommend them as travel consultants, not one hitch.
Whirlwind Trip through 8 Cities

Central Europe
Helen Morrissey, ACT, Australia, May 2016
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The group was a mix of ages and nationalities and all got along well. We visited so many cities and all were beautiful. I choose this tour because except for Vienna I had not been to any of the other places and I particularly loved Budapest. The Illuminations cruise on the Danube was a highlight for me.

Global Journeys offer great discounts and friendly, professional service with quick response times to questions. We have already booked with them again. The tour with Cosmos was a great price. Would have loved hotels closer to the tourist attractions, especially Venice as this was way out in the country (although a nice hotel), but I realise this read more is how they keep the prices down.
Pleasant Tour of Germany 1
Helen Parmenter, QLD, Australia, May 2016
The accommodation was better than expected for a low budget tour. The tour bus was excellent as were the driver and the tour director. All places visited were enjoyable, it is just a shame more time was not allotted to enjoy them. I would have preferred to have more local guides as there were only three included. Also, traffic delays meant that read more we didn't have as much visiting time as we would have liked.
This is our third holiday with Cosmos. This one was amazing, the places we thought we would never see if travelling by ourselves. Our tour director Susannah was excellent as was our bus driver George. Our fellow travellers were warm and friendly. Anyone thinking of doing this tour should have no hesitation, especially the chuck wagon cookout. A wonderful experience!
Generally this was a well put together tour with good additional sight seeing opportunities which were reasonably priced. The tour director and driver were excellent, helpful and knowledgeable. Generally accommodation was good to very good and some excellent. Perhaps the biggest accommodation let down was at Jackson where we had a dark room with no read more natural light, door lock was awful making access a long challenge, and the toilet cistern ran all night. Two nights here spoiled all the other positive accommodation provided.
I had a wonderful time. Our tour director Tara was a wealth of information on British History and so caring with all her charges. Coach driver George was excellent as well as both stand in drivers. Some of it a little fast paced but to see everything we saw in the time allotted it had to be this way. The coach travelled off main roads giving us the read more opportunity to see lots of country villages and scenery. The weather was wonderful for the most part. I was a little disappointed in some of the optional excursions e.g.. the so called 'Pub Experience' saw us in a room at the Irish Pub with the door closed so as to not disturb the locals! Nothing wrong with the entertainment but it was supposed to be an experience with the locals. I probably wouldn't bother with the Jaunty Horse Ride at Killarney or the Barge Ride given the benefit of hindsight. However having said that it was a great tour.
Spectacular spain 2

Another great tour with Cosmos. The guide, food and all our accommodation was excellent. The highlight was the flamenco show in Seville an amazing performance of such energy and colour. We would highly recommend Cosmos tours, we liked the mix of organised time and free time and definitely think they are great value for money. We would also highly read more recommend Global Journeys as a booking agent - they were always prompt with replies to our emails and were fantastic with helping us to sort an alternative tour when our turkey tour was cancelled. (Ed. This trip has changed this season, so this review refers to a slightly different itinerary.)
Wales & Ireland exceeded all expectations.

Our trip to Wales & Ireland exceeded all our expectations. Everything went like clockwork. The Tour Director was First Class. Even the weather was a bonus, no rain at all!
Worry Free Holiday 2
Virginia Stuckings, QLD, Australia, May 2016
I enjoyed this trip and I like travelling with Cosmos. They seem to attract a nice group of people. This group consisted of people mostly from the UK and Australia. Accommodation varied. Washington excellent hotel in a good position. Philadelphia was good also. Boston was disappointing as it was too far from the city. New York hotel Holiday Inn was read more in a good position but is too crowded. I would like to see Cosmos look at a less crowded hotel. Also more central hotels in some places. The time of year May and June is a very good time of year for this part of the world. There was some rain, but no problems. Global Journeys did a great job with my booking. I tried another agent before I heard about Global Journeys. They took over a week to get back to me to advise that the trip I wanted was fully booked. Global Journeys were back to me in one hour. The only disappointment was that the optional excursions in New York were to be taken on your own.
We had a very good experience booking our trip on line with Global Journeys. Hannah our consultant answered all our queries promptly and reminded me of a few things like getting an eta for USA. Our bus tour was everything and more than we expected. Choosing late May to travel was a good time as we saw 6 bears and 2 grizzlies and many other wild life.We read more really enjoyed the short Ice explorer journey to the Columbia Icefield and later the gondola trip at Whistler. It was the last day the snow lifts were operating for the season and with recent snow overnight it was a lot of fun. The most memorable part of the cruise was Glacier Bay. Our cruise ship the MS Volendam slowly glided over the water to the glacier as the passengers stood silently in awe of the huge glacier and listened to the almighty crack as pieces broke off and fell into to water.
Comparing Operators before our trip, I had doubts Cosmos would supply the goods but it turned out to be a fantastic trip. Very happy with Emily from Global Journeys.
The whole tour was great. I have no complaints. The only thing was that the optional extra excursion to Guinness Brewery was a waste of time.
The best road trip ever! 2
Fee, New Zealand, May 2016
I had the time of my life, visited places Ive only ever dreamed about. I did so much in the 27 days on tour. Some of the places I visited would've been hard to find had I arranged my own travel plans. l made new friends and new travel buddies! Our tour director Truus and bus driver Paolo were absolutely amazing. Ive already started looking into doing read more another tour with Cosmos and bringing more friends with me. I cannot wait for my next journey with Cosmos for another great adventure!
Global Journeys online bookings were very good and would choose them again. We were very fortunate with the weather and would recommend spring time for this tour. Accommodation and meals supplied were very good. Tour guide and fellow passengers very friendly and got on well together. There were too many great sights and places visited to pick one out read more above the rest. A couple of days for me were too long, travelling too far. The on board toilet was permanently locked, preventing any access.
Our tour director Mark was passionate about showing visitors his Canada. He gave us good advice about optional excursions and what to do in our "spare" time while on tour. He also gave us good advice about post tour possibilities.
Accommodation was overall very good. The coach driver, Peter, was also very good and always helpful. The Rocky Mountaineer read more Silverleaf exceeded our expectations. The hosts were attentive and entertaining. Unfortunately, our experience on the Volendam did not meet our expectations when compared to other cruise lines. The itinerary for cruising the Inside Passage was good. Glacier Bay was awesome. We liked Canada and have already booked another Cosmos tour for the East coast in September.
More things off my bucket list 3
Diane Kearney, WA, Australia, May 2016
What an awesome holiday. Ticked a number of things off my bucket list - The Great Wall of China, Terracotta Warriors and the Yangtze River. Our tour had only 19 people, which was a great size. Grace was an absolute joy and nothing was too much for her. She went out of her way to ensure we had what we needed and always willing to translate for us - read more especially what food we were eating! The local guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a snap of China.
Journey Through Japan 6
Charlotte Douglas, Australia, May 2016
Our journey through Japan was a great adventure. We criss-crossed the country in the comfortable coach as our guide talked to us about Japan. Tokyo is a massive, vibrant city with shops and restaurants on at least three different levels - the underground, the ground level and the upper storey level! One of the highlights of the trip for my husband and read more I was the Gasso-Zukuri style thatched roofed houses at Shirakawa. It was a beautiful scenic place with wonderful views of the mountains.
As we travelled about we couldn't help but be amazed by the stunning scenery of the forested mountains and the verdant valleys. Apparently, there are ten thousand tunnels in Japan, so they are true experts in the skill of tunneling! Also, the infra-structure is way ahead of Australia with most roads built on pillars well above the ground. Another highlight was to visit the Pearl-diving at MikimotoPerl Island and to learn the process of pearl cultivation. Another wonderful place was the Floating Tori Gate and Itsikuskima Shrine.
Hiroshima was a somber experience as we walked through the Peace Park and went into the Museum. On the last day we had a great, full day as we went on the boat at Lake Ashi and the aerial car was a memorable experience as we were packed into the cable car! At the top were the most spectacular views and we had so many breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. Our mix of fellow travellers was good and the number of twenty was spot-on as it allows you to get to know most other people. It was good accommodation throughout and the rooms were extremely clean and tidy.the breakfasts were excellent and one of the highlights of the day!!! It was a great time of year to travel as the weather was kind and warm mostly, with just the one rainy day. Our guide was informative and friendly. It would have been nice to have welcome dinner to meet our fellow travellers and one or two dinners just to get together as a group. However, it was most enjoyable and We will continue to book with you as you make it so easy for us. We are already looking forward to our tour of Spain this September! So, we thank you again for a great holiday!
