Iconic Europe 2 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2016
This tour took us to lots of cities and we saw heaps of iconic places. The pace of the tour was very full-on, not much free time, no relaxing, but we never would have seen and done so much in the timeframe unless we had been on this tour. Cosmos were great, and I was pleasantly surprised that our accommodation was good everywhere and our breakfasts read more were also better than I expected. We started off in late September, that was fine, but towards the latter part of the tour the weather was getting colder and we had some rain ( but I suppose the weather is uncontrollable no matter when you go). This is not a relaxing holiday by any means, but if you want to visit the highlights of Europe in one trip this is it.
Indian Holiday - I liked it!   5 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2016
I liked the hotels and I liked the tour guide, he was very helpful. I liked everything in fact. The food was very good and our driver was so careful with his driving and our Tour Guide with the constant supply of water was very good too.
9 Day Switzerland by Train   7 Scenic Switzerland by Train , NSW, Australia, Sep 2016
Our tour guide, Mihaela was excellent; friendly and supportive and always positive. The itinerary was great. One could always add something else but we would not replace any of the trips or places we visited. Accommodation was great and in a number of the places, we could have comfortably stayed much longer. The highlights of the trip were the two read more big name train journeys; the Glacier Express and the Bernina Express to Tirana. Included Cosmos meals were okay but appreciated because of the cost of Switzerland. Would highly recommend the trip.
Fabulous tour 2 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2016
This was my fourth tour with Cosmos and again great value. It covers major and very minor places that you wouldn't normally see on your own. Our tour guide Buddy was very friendly and helpful and as all the tour guides at Cosmos could not do enough for us. I feel it could be slowed down to take one extra day as it is quite fast paced and a few very read more early mornings. I understand Cosmos saves money by staying just out of the major towns but the hotel in Munich was way below par. It took quite a walk and two modes of transport to get into town. If it was raining it would have been awful. All other hotels were fine with wonderful beds and good food although all did not have a restaurant.
East Canada 4 Ontario & French Canada , WA, Australia, Sep 2016
This was an enjoyable tour of Eastern Canada and we visited many interesting cities. The coach was comfortable and accommodation in all cities except for Quebec was excellent. I can recommend this tour. Enjoy your trip to Canada. The inclusion of breakfast at all hotels would have enhanced our holiday as it would have provided the opportunity to meet other tour members.
Another Satisfying Cosmos Tour 4 , WA, Australia, Sep 2016
Again, the tour was well organised and executed. I experienced no problems at all. The group was small, the coach was very comfortable with reclining seats and the air conditioner kept things very cool. The tour director was a local, loved his country and was knowledgeable about the sites we visited. He was also happy to answer questions we asked about read more the culture, politics and past history of India. He was very calm, relaxed and was not flustered by anything. The driver and his aide were separated from the director and passengers in their cabin, which cut out potential distractions. One really needs to be concentrating and focused when driving around the busy city centers of India. Every tour day we received a bottle of water from the driver's aide.

I thought it was great that during the day all tour members were in the coach together or touring sites. We all had lunch together at mostly restaurants, which had good selections and environments. During the evening and night we had our free time. We visited and toured all the sights that were listed in the brochure plus one more. The attractions were nearly always immaculately maintained. There are plenty of hidden gems in India and the architecture of buildings reflected a glorious past and one hopes that the people can resurrect that somewhat in the future.

The hotels we stayed at offered quiet, large rooms and felt very western. The included breakfasts had large varieties of food and drink. We lived in very luxurious environments considering the average standard of living for the locals. Each hotel offered complimentary bottled water and along with what we received on the bus was sufficient for my requirements. One has to be firm with the street sellers and exercise vigilance with people wanting money. It was necessary for me to wear long sleeve shirts, pants and a hat to avoid sunburn. We often had to tip but relatively speaking it represented small amounts. Security was tight at the major sites so expect to be scanned and frisked on occasion. Overall, I was very pleased with the tour and glad to have participated and would recommend it to anyone who would like to experience different sights and smells that are normally present in western nations.
Awesome trip! 3 Golden West Adventure , VIC, Australia, Sep 2016
We booked this trip as it was our first time to the USA and neither my husband nor I wanted to worry about driving. We travelled with our ten year old daughter and were keen to see and experience as much of the west coast as we could in just over two weeks. We were not disappointed at all! Everything went as smooth as it possibly could, from checking read more in earlier in LA to when we left to continue our holiday at Disneyland. The tour guide was exceptional and it was apparent that he was very experienced and knowledgeable about all of the areas which we visited. He was proactive in offering dinner suggestions at each location, as well as local maps and areas to avoid! The coach driver was just as exceptional and delivered us safely to our next destination each day with some friendly banter and jokes along the way!

The actual tour itself ticked all of the boxes for us and covered the big ticket items which we had on our lists (Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Hollywood etc), but we also got to see some of the lesser known country side and desert which just enhanced our experience. The accommodation, in most instances was more than acceptable, there were a couple of places which we visited where I thought the accommodation could have been a little better than it was, however also understand that there were limited options in some of the smaller towns. Everywhere we stayed was clean and comfortable though. It would have been easier and more convenient if all of the accommodations offered continental breakfasts, especially given some of the early mornings which were had.
A great way to get an overview of the UK and Eire 6 The British Isles in Depth , Australia, Sep 2016
Our guide, Michael, was excellent displaying great knowledge, especially of the history attached to the places visited. Michael's presentation was made with great humour and presented the right amount of facts to be interesting and never boring. Our driver, Andy, was careful and courteous so that we felt relaxed and content. Because there were so read more many places visited, a bonus as far as we were concerned, one could not expect to see and do everything in all of these places but it was great way to get an overview to decide which parts of the British Isles we might visit again to do in depth. What we enjoy about touring with Cosmos is that the company seems to strike the right balance between the organised part of the tour and the free time given to us to explore on our own the many places of interest.
Amazing trip of the UK & Republic of Ireland   9 The British Isles in Depth , NSW, Australia, Sep 2016
This tour had a top Tour Leader, Michael, & an extremely competent Tour Driver, Andy, who together were marvellous. Michael was amazing with his extensive knowledge & sense of humour in sharing this knowledge with us. The Coach performed well & the Hotels were fine. Of course some were better than others & some were a bit too far out of town. The breakfasts read more were good & where there were included dinners, all were very good, especially when a buffet was offered. The optional excursions were well planned & those I chose were interesting. Scotland turned on the best weather for us & looked sensational. I would have enjoyed a little longer in Wales as what we saw was lovely but barely spent 2 days there. Cornwall, as well, was rushed, only spending 1 day there. All in all though, I had a really good trip & would recommend it to my friends.
Loved the Old South and Florida   4 Southern Charms & Florida , SA, Australia, Sep 2016
A trip full of history and music. Accommodation was excellent, not 5 star but clean and very comfortable - included a few breakfasts. The optional tours were great value and very enjoyable. Highlights were New Orleans and the swamp and plantation homes tour. Memphis and Graceland, Nashville and the country music Hall of Fame. Savannah was such a beautiful read more and historic place, the only disappointing part of this trip was Orlando we found it to be just theme parks which is ok if that's what you want to do. We didn't realise that we would be leaving the tour guide here 3 days before the tour actually finished. Overall a great trip and value for money!
NY to LA via Chicago. 5 Trans-American Adventure , ACT, Australia, Sep 2016
As repeat customers of Cosmos, we were very pleased with our coach holiday across the USA. The schedule was busy as there was a lot to see and experience. A free day now and again worked well. Our mob of 26 on a 50 seat Cosmos coach became a team. The tour director and driver shared our enthusiasm while still performing magnificently at their own read more tasks. Their sharing of their knowledge both cultural and local as we traveled contributed very enormously (I realise) to the enjoyment of the holiday. One bonding development on the coach was the collecting and swapping of the 50 or so US State Emblem issued quarter dollar coins. The outlay was minimal and the gathering continued regardless of location. Non-gatherers had free entertainment just watching the gatherers. We travelled through the colour cycle of leaves and saw just about every living critter and much more besides.
Awesome holiday adventure 6 Trans-American Adventure , VIC, Australia, Sep 2016
We loved this trip. Everything fully organised for us. The commentary was relevant and very informative. The coach was clean and modern with a great driver.
Interesting look at California and the desert.   4 Western Wonders , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
The highlight for us was San Francisco and the Grand Canyon. Our coach driver Dave was fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. Our lack of commentary was the downside, because we got to learn very little about the areas we travelled through.
Excellent Tour 5 Mysteries of the Inca Empire , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
A well organised tour full of history scenery and challenging walks. Our tour guide Paulo was very informative and kept the tour flowing with his expertise. We would recommend this tour to everyone.
Fantastic scenic tour 1 Eastern US & Canada Grand Vacation , VIC, Australia, Sep 2016
Enjoyed scenery in Canada & beautiful Quebec & Ottawa. Interesting visit to the Amish people. Great boat trip at Nigeria.. Fantastic 2 days exploring Washington's museums & galleries. Great tour very divert. Lots of kilometres, interesting scenery & cities.
Eastern US & Canada Grand Vacation 4 Eastern US & Canada Grand Vacation , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
Highlights: Niagara Falls, Old Quebec City, 1000 Islands cruise, Manhattan. Having wifi on the coach in USA. Lowlights: Holiday Inn in Boston. No wifi on the coach in Canada. We would have liked to have had more time in Washington DC as there is so much to see. Coach driver, Chris was excellent.
Fantastic tour of Canada and Alaska 4 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , NSW, Australia, Sep 2016
My husband and I have just arrived back from a 19 day Canadian and Alaskan Masterpiece Cosmos tour. We had a fantastic time, met great people and saw some fantastic places. We could not fault Cosmos, everything was excellent our tour guide Brad and coach driver John were very informative about all the places we visited and very helpful on things to read more do and see in our free time. All the accommodation was very good. The 2 days on the Rocky Mountaineer were excellent and we would highly recommend Cosmos. If there was anything that we would suggest to improve this tour is to maybe add an extra few days so that you could spend an extra night in a couple of the places that you don't get a chance to see because you arrive late and leave early the next day.
Interscenic scandi views and awesome educational facts about scandinavia 2 Focus on Scandinavia , SA, Australia, Sep 2016
This trip so educational and inspiring on how scandi history placed them as one of the most beautiful countries in the world today. High praises to our trip tour director Milos for being so professional in handling 54 different personalities and cultural background with grace and our very skillful driver Segui (hope i spelt it right) - nobody can drive read more the tricky streets than him. IMO, the highlights of the trips too many to mention as every place in svandinavia is beautiful, unique and different in many ways. I was impressed with the millions of bicycles in Copenhagen, the zealand castles old tapestries the stories behind them; the thousand sculptures in oslo parks, thousands of electric cars and breathing views of the pfords and the story behind the Nobel peace price in Norway; to the old town pieces of history of Sweden and amazing harbour building architectures.... all are mind blowing indeed! T'was a dream come true adventure.... thank you Cosmos for the fantastic journey!
A tour to remember   5 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
This tour was amazing! Each day seemed to be better than the last with the scenery we saw being so beautiful it was hard to find words good enough to describe it. There was a great mix of experiences with a couple of extra surprises thrown in by our Tour Director, Kristin, who was a wonderful ambassador for Cosmos and the southwest of the USA. The hotels read more exceeded my expectations and I found this was not as rushed a tour as others I have taken. I went in September and the weather was superb, with only one showery afternoon in the whole 15 days, which didn't affect us as we were mostly on the coach.

We enjoyed warm temperatures and bright blue sky every other day. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough and can't wait to try another Cosmos tour. The coach was comfortable and the sometimes windy roads were negotiated skilfully by our driver Ken who was lovely and professional at all times - he even played his Native American flute to us on the last day and stole all of our hearts. I took a Globus tour last year which was also wonderful, and found that even though Cosmos is the budget version of Globus it was every bit as comfortable and value for money.
Sightseeing at its best. 4 Exploring America's National Parks , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
This holiday was one of the best holidays I have ever been on. The scenery was stunning and the tour guide Darren and bus driver Michael made this tour so much fun. Nothing was too much trouble and I loved that plenty of time was allowed for photos of the awesome scenery and sights. This tour absolutely exceeded all my expectations.
