The Best of Europe
Jessie & Jake, Qld, Australia, Apr 2017
18 days doesn't seem like enough time to see all that we did - but it was so well organised that the fast pace didn't even matter! Worry free, spectacular scenery - and a great time to go. There's no way to choose a favourite spot, drive or experience as they were all spectacular. Some highlights were the Amalfi Coast, French Alps, Switzerland's Mt read more Titlus, Pompeii .... Coming from Australia in particular, the immense history in every town's architecture was a marvel.
This was our second tour with Cosmos & Globus through Global Journeys. We have really enjoyed them and will continue to book through you all.
The tour as a whole was very good. 35 people all got along very well with lots of laughs. The tour leader was very good. He looked after us very well. Global Journeys was easy to book with. This was my 5 tour with the Globus brand and I would book with Global Journeys again.
Enjoyable Journey in Japan 4
Frank & Pat , WA, Australia, Apr 2017
We thought the trip was well managed though it would have been nicer to be allowed more time in some places and also to have avoided some of the massive crowds at the more well known sites. There were other options that would have been equally as impressive to visit without having to fight the crowds at the World Heritage Sites. Also, to have more read more time available with not such a hectic schedule.
Fantastic journey through Japan 1
Roshani, VIC, Australia, Apr 2017
The trip was fantastic. Great value for money. Cherry blossom season was memorable. I would recommend it to anyone. Tour guide was very knowledgeable.
This is a fantastic tour with so much to see. The included Auschwitz Concentration Camp tour was most welcome; a very important reminder! The optional Wieliczka Salt Mines in Krakow was a amazing experience. Tunde, our tour director, was knowledgeable and helpful. Francesco was a skillful and safe driver. Accommodation and food (included breakfast read more and dinner) were of good quality. I enjoyed this tour thoroughly and would highly recommend it.

Italy's Best
Leith, WA, Australia, Apr 2017
Our trip was great. All the people on the tourgot on all very well and our tour guide was exceptional. Hhe had a sense of humour and advised us along the tour what to expect that day and the next plus was very informative. Enjoyed the Colosseum, Vatican, Cinque Terre, Pisa, the Swiss alps, Venice, Assisi, loved Pompeii and Capri. The accommodation read more was different to Australia with no kettle. I think if you like to have one in your room, I'd advise taking a small kettle , with tea or coffee and dried milk would be a great idea. Our first hotel loved the darkness of the room but we love a bit of coolness in our room and some hotels were not allowed to have the air conditioner on so luckily it wasn't too hot. The weather at this time of the year in April was just right. We did have rain but this occurred on just the day that we were mostly in the coach so it didn't cause any problems. I'm think some of the optional excursions should have been included like the last meal.
Sunny Spain - and don't forget Portugal 3
Sue Baker, NSW, Australia, Mar 2017
Have travelled before with Cosmos and booked through Global Journeys. Global Journeys (Hannah) made booking easy, and Cosmos are always good value for money. Saw a lot in the time, but didn't feel rushed. The tour director was both knowledgeable and helpful, and the other travellers were varied in both ages and nationalities, but all mixed together read more to help make an unforgettable holiday. Would I book with Global Journeys and Cosmos again - definitely.
Cosmos made it affordable to see most of Spain and the highlights of Portugal. The itinerary was good, if fairly intense. The highlights were, understandably, the historical parts of each city, reaching back hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of years. Special local experiences were "optional extras", fun but overpriced for the content. As in all read more coach tours, enjoyment depends to a great extent on the personality of the tour director. Ours was a serious teacher, rather than a friendly leader. Our driver was excellent, and needed to be, in narrow, twisting roads. Our booking, with Georgie at Global Journeys, was easy and economical. Thanks.
This holiday was excellent in my opinion. There were only 17 in our group so it didn't take long for everyone to know each other, that makes holiday more fun. The view for the first few days were so so, but a couple of drives were really amazing, beautiful mountain views in National Parks and beautiful lake views (not raining of course). Everyone should read more do this tour at least once. Our coach windows were not clean all the time, the back window was only really clean one day only otherwise I would have had more amazing photos. I felt the driver drove very fast and as I was sitting down the back and it was a bumpy ride. Maybe it was necessary because we needed to cover big distances and it was my choice to sit down the back so I could enjoy both sides of the view.
This is the first coach tour that we have ever done. Overall we were impressed with the whole tour. We found the booking through Global Journeys to be problem free and they were helpful. The greeting at the hotel on day 1 was quality and set the scene for the remainder of the tour. The Coach Driver (Lee) was very courteous, careful driver, and was considerate read more of our needs. The Tour Guide (Peter) made a huge difference to the experience of the tour due to his wide knowledge of history, the built environment and particularly the manner in which he kept the whole group engaged through his commentary. Quality! We found the pace of the tour to be good and arrival times were generous. Morning departures were also well managed so that we did have the opportunity to see/visit all of the offerings. We found the add-on experiences generally to be good value with only one minor exception and that has been communicated in our exit survey. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Wonderful trip 1
Andrew Stewart, NSW, Australia, Mar 2017
I really enjoyed myself . Tour guide and bus driver where great. Accommodation was fine. Would have been nice if something had been organised for the night in Wales. (Ed. This trip changed slightly in 2019, so this review is based on the previous longer itinerary)
This Cosmos tour didn't disappoint, always happy to travel with Cosmos. Ireland was our favourite place could have been better if more time in Ireland. But on a whole excellent scenery and stops.
Spectacular trip through the land of the rising sun 1
Graeme, NSW, Australia, Mar 2017
I was really happy with this Cosmos tour of Japan. The trip was well organised and the tour director (Ms Rumi Yamaguchi) excellent. We experienced spectacular scenery, arts, history, technology and culture. The Japanese are very welcoming and helpful. I particularly enjoyed the snow top Nikko Mountains, Shirakawa (Gifu village) thatched roof houses, read more water colour paintings at the Adachi museum of Arts, an exhilarating ride on the bullet train and the novelty of the bowing deers at Nara. All in all a great experience with a great guide! Highly recommended.
This tour gave me a general insight into the British Isles. I started this trip in the middle of March which was still a bit cold but the scenery was absolutely green and beautiful. The coastlines, buildings and castle ruins are wonderful. All the hotel accommodation were well appointed and the food (included breakfast and dinner) were of good quality. read more Our tour director, Dominic, was very knowledgeable which made the tour more enjoyable. Graham, our driver, took good care of us with his safe driving. A comfortable and enjoyable tour.
Great locations and a wonderful experience 2
Andree Tyson, VIC, Australia, Mar 2017
A very enjoyable trip. Great scenery and fabulous locations visited. A knowledgeable and helpful tour guide. Accommodation was basic but OK. Breakfasts were a good start to the day. Optional tours were good value especially Toledo which was a highlight.
The reason I didn't give this tour 5 stars was that the group was too big (48 people, the only seat vacant is the the middle seat at the back and weather was bad when I was there. Because the weather was bad, nearly everyday was raining, so this tour was not a good holiday for me. Because of the bad weather and seat rotation. I missed 2 days supposed read more to be beautiful coast drive, it was raining anyway so I don't think I missed much but I believe if weather is good Ireland is a beautiful place. Maybe I should go during summer time so less rainy days.
Grand Tour of Sri Lanka 12
Virginia, QLD, Australia, Feb 2017
I found the tour visited places that were interesting. Sri Lanka is a lovely country to visit - it is true that it is called the land of smiles. I do however, have a couple of things that I would like to see changed to make the tour more enjoyable. These are not necessarily criticisms, but factors that I feel certain would be a big improvement. This read more was a fast-paced tour. There was very little "down time" for relaxation. I think everyone on the tour felt this. Some of the hotels were lovely and it would have been nice to spend some time around the pool, but we would leave most hotels early morning and arrive back in time for dinner. Two mornings had a 5am start. I feel a big improvement would be to add 2 additional nights to the tour. I realise that this would add to the cost but I feel it would make a huge difference. I would suggest an extra night in Sigiriya as they were busy days with no rest time at the beautiful hotel. Also an extra night at Kandy which was an interesting place, again with a beautiful pool and grounds, but there was no spare time to have a wander or to relax.
Secondly, the trek through Horton Plains is a 3-4 hour trek and is very difficult for older folk. I felt it more suited to a group of younger people. I hope I'm not offending anyone by making that comment. I enjoy wandering the streets of countries I visit and this tour unfortunately doesn't allow time to experience this. Perhaps an option of free time could be included instead of the many visits to various sights.
Dublin to Dublin hassle free tour

Irish Discovery
Ann Oliver & Cassandra Armenis, NSW, Australia, Jan 2017
We have been wanting to go to Ireland for a long time. We stumbled on to this tour Dublin to Dublin. It was a very reasonably priced. We went in January so it was winter over there. I highly recommend this tour. We had a great tour guide Bill. Our coach driver Gary was brilliant, can not praise him enough as a lot of Ireland's roads were very narrow. read more We made some great new friends on this tour. A highlight for us was The Cliffs Of Mohar and Gaints cause way. This tour was 9 days and was a perfect amount of time.
This was a fabulous way to see a lot of Europe in a short space of time. I enjoyed not having to worry about anything as everything was taken care of which made it really easy. Our group was quite small (15 people) which was good and bad. Made it more difficult to book excursions and many of the group were very conservative and didn't mix with others read more which was odd. Would probably choose to go with a bigger group of friends next time for this reason. Accomodation started off excellent but slowly went down hill. Our Paris accommodation was awful! Terrible bed meant no sleep for two nights and very unhelpful staff at reception which was a shame as it was the last accommodation of the trip and left a bad taste for us. London and Amsterdam accommodation were both excellent! I would travel at this time of year again as it was a lot quieter which was great. We also had the bonus of going up the Eiffel tower which was definitely a highlight! Overall I loved the trip and would definitely book another tour again.
