Spectacular Switzerland by train 11 Scenic Switzerland by Train , VIC, Australia, May 2017
"Switzerland by Train" went far beyond our expectations. In a nutshell - breathtaking scenery, perfect weather, fantastic guide, great group.
My lovely birthday trip   5 Exploring America's National Parks , New Zealand, May 2017
First we want to thank Leanne from Global Journeys NZ, who had made our trip run smoothly. She was a well organised person. Every query was answered on the same day, If she couldn't get it, she would dig the information out from the tour operator, so we would feel relief. It wasn't a worry if she was not available, someone from Global Journey's Australia read more provided us the answer. Will certainly go back to Global Journeys for the future trips.

As for the Cosmos tour itself, we felt so delighted. Though it classified as budget tour, we didn't feel that. This was also a well organised tour. The hotels mostly provided 2 queen beds and big rooms. Only 2 were smaller and dated. But it's not a big deal as mostly we spent only 1 night to have a sleep. Along Denver to Las Vegas, on the road, mostly the views were lovely. If some were boring, you could take a nap. At every washroom stop, you would get something beautiful to photo. The included views were so stunning and breathtaking.

This tour would give extra stops for you to take beautiful views. The falls, lakes, mountains, snows, etc. The weather we had on that time were mixed: windy, snowy, cold, warm & burning hot, but we didn't complain as we loved these and we couldn't ask for perfection. A little disappointment was the tour guide always put us on the very back of the hotel isles, so we needed to turn and turn to find our room when we already felt tired, while the others always had better room locations. Anyway we would go back to this tour again maybe in 3 years time. Thank you Global Journeys & Cosmos, you made our holiday beautiful.
Enjoyed all the sights   12 New York City, Niagara Falls & Washington DC with Extended Stay in New York City , WA, Northam, May 2017
Enjoyed all the sights I experienced on tour. Accommodation in New York was very good but the standard of the breakfast for $US20 was a disgrace. I feel that breakfast should be included in all tours - American hotels should be put on notice by large companies such as Globus, cost of rooms certainly up there surely this can be factored in. Overall read more I had a wonderful experience seeing a small part of America, thank you to your tour director & courteous driver.
Beautiful Ireland - Incredible Tour 7 Irish Discovery , WA, Australia, May 2017
The Irish Explorer was a fantastic trip. Our tour guide Hilary was a hoot and very knowledgeable about all things Irish. Jarek our driver was courteous and fun and ever so considerate, like driving really slow and circling a round a bout at a snails pace so we could all get the perfect photo. It was quite an easy pace tour with not a lot of walking. read more We were blessed with almost perfect weather too. Our days on the bus weren't really long and planned evening meals were at an early time giving those who wanted to kick on into town time to do so.

Our accommodation was either really good or really, really good and close enough to town. Our stops were a decent length - plenty of time to have lunch, find a bathroom and a little explore and shop. Stretches on the bus were no more than 2 hours before a bathroom stop. These stops were always planned in a great place with something to take in. We went many places in these two beautiful countries and most of them had you thinking "I'd like to come back here again". This is a well thought out, easy holiday and I thoroughly recommend it.

Global Journeys web site is a great place to research and compare holidays from many companies. It is so easy to use and the filters are brilliant. Jemma was a fantastic Consultant; gave good suggestions and always quick replying to emails. Thank you Jemma, you'll be hearing from me again for sure for my future travels.
Overall good value for money! 3 Eastern Us & Canada Grand Vacation , WA, Australia, May 2017
The tour was fast paced, which was what we wanted. A good bird's eye view of the eastern seaboard of North America. We particularly enjoyed Montreal, Niagara Falls, Washington and the visit to an Amish home. The tour director, Michael Gibbs, was excellent, so too was the driver Don. Overall good value for money!
Memorable trip 4 Golden West Adventure , NSW, Australia, May 2017
This was our 2nd Cosmos trip [previously we travelled on Route 66] We had a fantastic tour director and driver on our 1st tour, so we wondered whether this could be replicated. It certainly was, our guide Ken and driver Randy worked beautifully together. Ken was a keen nature lover, so gave us in-depth explanations of the flora and fauna along the route. read more We were given a day by day trip planner, so we knew exactly what we were doing daily, and the arrival and departure times.

Yosemite and the Grand Canyon were trip highlights, but the quaint towns [and shopping] along the way were great too. Las Vegas also has a lot to offer besides gambling! All hotels were of an acceptable standard, the beds always comfy, and the free continental breakfasts at some were enough to satisfy! Most on our tour were over 55, but a family, a young married couple, and a gay couple also gelled into a cohesive group! A thoroughly enjoyable trip at an affordable price!
Overall, it was quite good. 1 Central Europe , NSW, Australia, May 2017
Overall, it was quite good, rating 8/10 except the mix up re: transfer from Frankfurt airport to hotel. and at one hotel, the aircon not working. I would recommend Cosmos to my friends, good value for money. We will book our next Cosmos holiday with Global Journeys.
Now for something completely different! 4 , QLD, Australia, May 2017
Wonderful people, flawless natural scenery and new cuisine experiences! I would do this tour again and again (and maybe never come home!) The Norwegian Fjords are simply stunning!
Wonderful trip through the Golden West 2 Golden West Adventure , NSW, Australia, May 2017
We booked this Globus tour because it offered us time to do our own thing during the trip. We were not disappointed, the tour inclusions gave us a good insight into each location but allowed us sufficient time to see things we wanted to see. We travelled during May and has terrific weather except for one very cold day at the Grand Canyon. The group read more we travelled with were a very friendly lot from five countries but were mostly Australians. The Tour Director Deanna and driver Jason were exceptional, offering great advice about every location we stopped at. They couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely travel with Globus again and have already recommended this tour company to others.
Well organised tour through the West Coast 2 Golden West Adventure , Queensland, Australia, May 2017
Excellent support from Global Journeys. Good time of the year to travel May / June. Visits the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam. Think about stopping over in Honolulu on the way home for a little R & R.
Canadian Rockies & Alaska Inside Passage Cruise 2 The Canadian Rockies with Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, May 2017
This tour was by coach from Vancouver all the way through the Rockies and back. We believe we saw more of the interesting countryside & smaller towns between Vancouver & Banff, with stops for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea than if we had travelled by the Rocky Mountaineer train. The scenery through the mountains was beautiful. Lake Louise & Maligne read more Lake were still frozen over due to Spring being colder this year.

Our hotels were generally very good, only let down by the Sandman Hotel Vancouver and Marmot Hotel Jasper. Although no breakfasts were included originally in this tour, a complimentary breakfast was included for the 2 days we were at the Listel Hotel Whistler, which was a nice surprise.

Our tour director Sandra provided useful information on the major towns and their attractions we stopped at. We would have liked to have had more information about the history of the smaller towns, their people and what they do to make a living in some of these isolated areas. The coach used during the whole trip was brand new and our driver JP was excellent.

Our cruise to Alaska was on the Holland America Lines MS Volendam. Our cabin attendants were very friendly and efficient. Meals at dinner were interesting some nights, as the servings for starters or mains were quite small, although you could ask for seconds. The entertainment provided on the ship was ok. Disembarkation from the ship was well organised and went smoothly for us. Thank you to Madeline at Global Journeys for all her assistance with our booking and questions we asked prior to our departure.
Awesome Europe trip 4 The Best of Europe with London , NSW, Australia, May 2017
We had an awesome time in Europe! This was made possible by two wonderful people, the Coach Driver Oscar - for making us feel safe and secure with his exceptional driving skills and loading/unloading our luggage! and the Tour Director Patrizia Weijring for making us feel like a family from day 1 - from organizing our hotel room keys in every destination read more even before we arrived at the hotels, taking last minute changes in our optional excursions, making sure everyone was safely on board, taking care of our dietary requirements as well as going beyond her call of duty of finding our lost property by locating and organizing it to be delivered to our next hotel! Her humour and smile made our journey in the Coach much easier! She is an amazing person and an asset to Cosmos. Please pass our warm wishes to Patrizia and Oscar.
A taste of Thailand 3 , NSW, Australia, May 2017
This trip provided us with a comprehensive insight into the country its people, its history and the contrast between the Australian and Thai way of life. Mr Perez our guide was very knowledgeable on all aspects of his country and its history and was also a very good organizer and handled all the different visitor needs very well. One suggestion we read more would make to Cosmos is that they include a visit to see the Elephants in this tour as they have been a big part of life in Thailand all through history.
Excellent Tour! 1 , VIC, Australia, May 2017
We had a very good time. Both the tour director and driver were excellent. The tour was fantastic with incredible sights, wonderful scenery and history thrown in to appreciate and inspire.
Amazing holiday in Scandinavia 5 Focus on Scandinavia , QLD, Australia, May 2017
I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The tour guide was extremely helpful and very friendly. The driver was well skilled and went out of his way to help with our drop-offs and pick-ups i.e he would drive as close as possible to the venue so we didn't have to walk very far from and to the bus, particularly when it was very cold or raining.

Suggestions: read more
1. The hotel in Copenhagen was too far from the city and the hotel restaurant had a very limited menu consequently most people on day one had to catch public transport into the city to have some dinner. Similarly with the hotel in Stockholm. Many people on the tour stayed extra nights and there were no restaurants or cafes around. The hotel was next to the domestic airport and there was a lot of traffic noise. I suggest in cases where travelers have to find their own meals, hotels should be within walking distance of a choice of cafes or restaurants, considering many people have limited choices because of food allergies.

2. Many of the hotels did not have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms which was disappointing. A couple of hotels had tea and coffee making facilities on another floor consequently we couldn't relax in our rooms before or after dinner with a cup of tea. A few of the tour group were disappointed about this, particularly on long days when everyone was fairly tired.
Great trip through Israel and the side trip to Jordan (mainly Petra) was excellent. 8 Biblical Israel with Jordan (Protestant Itinerary) , NSW , Australia, May 2017
I thoroughly enjoyed my tour of Israel and the tour director was fun and entertaining. Our tour left our hotel by 7.45 each morning and didn't return until around 6'ish so it was quite hectic. I would have appreciated if the tour was a day longer with a free day or half day to do my own thing. All breakfasts and dinners were all included in the tour read more cost which was really good.

I was disappointed in the optional excursion to the Dead Sea as this a part of the trip I was really looking forward to but by the time we had lunch and spent time shopping (which none of us were really keen to do) we only had 1 hour to enjoy our experience of the Dead Sea. Also, and my fault entirely, I didn't realise how religious the tour was going to be. I thought there would be a bit of religion as were visiting the Holy Land but it was full on with quite a few extremely religious people on the tour. I should maybe have booked an historical or archaeological tour.

Petra in Jordan was fantastic, but again, my travelling buddies and I, would have enjoyed an extra day in Petra.
Action packed adventure.... enjoyed the National Parks, cities excellent insight to USA 6 Trans-American Adventure , New Zealand, May 2017
The fellow travelers were a good mix, lot of laughs and friendships made my most. We did all but one of the Optionals and enjoyed them all. In regard to the weather it is changeable all over the world so always pack thermals and dress with layers. Disappointed that there was no return bus from the Mall of America this was an inclusion of the tour. People read more had to get 2 trains to return back or taxis. Seat rotation was up to Jason's discretion hence some people got the front seats others were moved out of sequence and missed the front seats twice. Very disappointed and saddened for the elderly people who missed the front seat.
Mystery of China enlightened. 1 , SA, Australia, May 2017
Enjoyed the tour immensely. Would recommend to others who are curious about China. The tour took in the icons of China but was a lot more as it revealed how far China has progressed and how fast that progression is continuing. The Crane (mechanical) is certainly the bird emblem. Our national tour guide - Ivy - was absolutely brilliant and made sure read more we all enjoyed everything on offer.
Fabulous holiday 5 The Lone Star State to the French Quarter , NSW, Australia, May 2017
Thoroughly loved this tour and my tour guide Philip Walker was great as was our driver Jay (Nick name). The tour offered a lot of history about Texas and New Orleans. If your looking for a tour that offers you with a tonne of stuff to do and see then this is the tour for you. History buffs and travellers looking for information about Texas should pick read more this tour to do. Totally enjoyable. Would do again.
