Majestic Canadian Rockies & Alaska 4 The Canadian Rockies with Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, Jun 2017
Great tour especially through the Rockies - awesome views, great weather, great tour director and coach driver. Special thanks to Cosmos for extra-free visit to Boundary Ranch with free B.B.Q dinner. Tour Director Jennifer was exceptional with her guidance and superb knowledge of the region. Buchart Gardens were breathtaking. All-in-all an excellent read more tour.

Inside passage on Holland America was awesome-especially the Glaciers in Glacier Bay. Ship Vollandam considered a bit second hand but entertainment was good and food great. Consider that service fee requested was far too steep and would question if Holland America distributed total evenly to all employees. However, the sea tour overall was great. Thanks Jemma for your input which we consider was very helpful.
Great highlights of the USA. 14 Trans-American Adventure , WA, Australia, Jun 2017
We all enjoyed our trip through USA and the highlights including Niagra Falls Canada. We were concerned about a 23 day coach tour however it went well. Our driver and tour director ensured frequent stops and we had a good mix of mostly Australians, a few Kiwis and and Brits. Our trip didn't include San Francisco so some of us added this to the end read more of the tour. Not sure it was worth it! Be prepared for the different eating habits of the Americans (high fat and sugar) so we picked up fresh fruit and nut snacks when we could. Also Wallmart and Whole Foods stores were a bonus when you can find them - excellent quality.

I think all travellers to the USA should be prepared for the tax and tipping which adds considerably to the cost. We also paid approx. $270 American per head to the driver and Tour Director at the end of the tour. Some of the elderly travelers were concerned as it amounted to over $600 AU which they hadn't budgeted for. I would recommend Cosmos as very professional and efficient. (GJ: Thanks for your review Christine. All clients of Global Journeys also have the option of prepaying gratuities when you make your booking (if they aren't included). Just let us know and we can add it to your quote.)
The British Isles In Depth 6 The British Isles in Depth , TAS, Australia, Jun 2017
Our tour director Catherine, was exceptional. Knowledgeable and organising skills were brilliant. We did not enjoy the visit to a 'Pub Evening' at Tramore. The description was one of joining locals at a traditional Irish pub. We were the only people there! They gave us a small pack of crisps handed out from a plastic bucket. The entertainment was from read more one rude, self obsessed 'singer/guitarist' (of very poor standard.) Worst evening of our tour.
Absolutely the Best 4 Italy's Best , WA, Australia, Jun 2017
A must for everyone. The best of the best of Italy. There wasn't much we didn't see and wow what we did see was totally awesome. Loved everything. The tour totally covered the best of Italy from north to south. A must for people who want to see the main attractions and learn about Italy. A great tour guide and group of people, an unforgettable tour.
Wonderful trip 2 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
Well organised tour director but she was not able to say anything about Holland America tour and extra options. So, how to know about Holland America extra options? For example we paid US$250 for 'Tracy Arm Fjord & Glacier' extra option to witness falling of icebergs in Sawyer Glacier. But on the fourth day, the ship itself was taking us to Glacier read more Bay which is bigger and better and much more exciting.
Great value for money 2 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
This is a great value for money tour. We booked the Gold Leaf Rocky Mountaineer and it is worth the money paid for the service on the train and the accommodation in Kamloops. The views from the train is just majestic. Those towns like Banff, Sun Peaks , Jasper Whistler and Lake Louise are equally scenic and beautiful.

The accommodation in Banff which read more is Bow Lodge is a bit dated compared to the other accommodation that we have. The tour director and bus driver is okay. We make some good friends on the tour and it helped to make our holiday enjoyable.
Great Viking Tour Trip   4 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
Very happy with Cosmos trip. Well organised and everything went to plan. Tour director was fun, very informative and helpful. Scandinavia's a must see if you never been. It is rich in history and culture and most of all very scenic. Most beautiful country. Only setback is too many other fellow travellers like myself at the same place same time, so be prepared for queues.
An experience I am glad I took. 9 Focus on Scandinavia , QLD, Australia, Jun 2017
A trip that was on my bucket list and am so glad I decided to go. Rather daunting doing it by myself but decided I have to get used to doing these type of things on my own since losing my husband. Having the transfer from the airport to the hotel on arrival was a great relief and I arrived a couple of days in advance of the tour just in case there read more was a hitch with the airlines. Biggest problem was not being able to read the signs especially on the ticket machines for the metro. Everyone spoke English once they realised you were looking at them blankly. The tour bus was comfortable though my poor knees didn't like the climbing up the stairs all the time. I made an effort to fit in from the first night by asking if I could join a couple at their for our first free dinner. We became good friends by the end of the tour. The travelling time was long but we had plenty of breaks every 2 hours for rest stops and food.

Norway was my favourite country as it was so pretty and even though it was their summer we came across snow which we could play in which was a bonus. There were 46 on the coach and the only negative was that in the 12 days we never got to know everyone as we had no 'meet and greet' at the beginning of the tour. Some of the travellers' were of different nationalities and were inclined to keep to themselves and unless you went up and approached a person and asked for their name you would not have got to know them. The hotel staff at all our stops were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable.
A comprehensive tour of the British Isles 3 The British Isles in Depth , SA, Australia, Jun 2017
Our tour guide, Christina, was excellent. She had enormous knowledge of the places that we visited, as well as the history, culture, current affairs issues, trivia and even some great jokes. She was very friendly and helpful. The tour bus and driver were excellent. The hotels and meals were very good. We saw so much on this tour.
Wow what stunning scenery & history, thoroughly enjoyable experience.   1 Scenic Slovenia & Croatia , WA, Northam, Jun 2017
In my belief this tour could be extended to 10 days so more time can be spent exploring such amazing cities & country wonders. Thank you to our tour director & bus driver for making us feel safe & sharing this amazing history.
Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Cosmos 4 The Best of Spain & Portugal , New Zealand, Jun 2017
Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Cosmos through Spain and Portugal. Booking with Leanne was easy - she was very quick to reply to any of our questions. Our tour guide Enrique Long was exceptional, his knowledge of the 2 countries was amazing and his organizational skills made for a very happy bus load of tourists. 41 in total. We would definitely travel read more with Cosmos again as it is excellent value for money.
Wonderful for Elvis fans, like myself!   10 Rhythms of the Road , WA, Australia, Jun 2017
This tour is an excellent one for lovers of country music, rock, rhythm & blues and jazz. It's especially wonderful for Elvis fans, like myself! The pace is not an easy one; for example you have to negotiate many steps at the Gateway Arch, so a good level of fitness is required. Most of the people on this tour were in their 50s, 60s and early 70s. read more At 73 years, I was the second oldest. Consider myself reasonably active but don't think I would want to have done this tour in say, a couple of years from now. Some days, particularly those in Nashville and Memphis, were rather tiring, especially if you were doing the optional tours as well.

My group consisted of 27 Australians, 7 New Zealanders and 2 Brits. Suggest would-be single travellers think carefully before opting for shared hotel accommodation. Our tour guide, Brenda Brooks, was one of the best, as was driver Larue.
Great insight to the West Coast ofUSA 3 Western Wonders , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
Excellent Cosmos tour of the West Coast of USA. The tour exceeded my expectations, we visited some great cities and we enjoyed exceptional sight seeing opportunities and experiences. Would strongly recommend travelling with Cosmos and booking through Global Journeys.
Scenery never to forget   3 Alpine Adventure, Bernina & Glacier Express , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
Great scenic tour, bus driver excellent as mountain passes very narrow , Flo our tour guide was excellent, ran like clockwork However tour accommodation was poor to fair only, most way out of town area. Optional tours good value and worth doing. Great overall tour, but would like better accommodation and in town area. Only mishap we all missed the read more Glacier Express train ( which we were looking forward to ) as it did not stop at station. They will need to investigate this . Will travel with Cosmos again.
Awesome European Experience 2 Europe's Highlights , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
Hubby and I went on 14 day -Europe highlights tour with Cosmos and it was awesome! We wouldn't have seen all those places travelling independently. Iris (our brilliant tour director!) and Tony (our driver) were amazing. They made this tour a great experience for us. Tour itself is very fast-paced, but you get to be everywhere. It gave us an overview read more of Europe and now we know where to go back to. It would have been lovely if some of the hotels are within the city centre (i.e. Paris hotel could be improved). Thanks to Jemma of Global Journeys for her fantastic help... very grateful for being so accommodating :-) We will definitely use Cosmos and Global Journeys for our next adventure!
Exciting European Holiday 5 Europe's Highlights , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
We had a great time travelling within a group of forty-seven (47) people coming from Australia, New Zealand, US, UK, Canada and Philippines. Global Journeys (Jemma Rosen) smoothed out the process of booking and preparation for the Cosmos tour. Initially we had some concern with the luggage size limit and hand luggage size limit but in real life, Cosmos read more staff is more flexible than the laid out rules. Since the chosen tour period was in June, the weather in southern Europe (Italy) was warmer than expected (up to 37 degrees C).

We took all of those extra tour inclusions and they seemed to be well chosen by Cosmos given the limited time of visiting six countries within 12 days. We were impressed with Tour Director's enthusiasm and friendly attitude. Though we were from diverse background, we all seemed to enjoy each other company during the 12 day bus trip.
Beautiful 8 The Magic of the Italian Lakes , SA, Australia, Jun 2017
Our third and final back to back tour with the Globus/Cosmos group. Again, this tour went very smoothly and was well organised. Tour director, Andreas, was very good and very knowledgeable and Driver, Vito, was excellent. The coach again, under Vito's care was spotless. The Italian lakes region is simply beautiful and a must see if you seriously want read more to see all of Italy. This Cosmos tour was very good value for money. Food in one of the included tours was not as good as what we've been spoiled with, but a minor issue. After doing 3 back to back tours with the Globus Group, we definitely recommend them.
16 Day Jewels of The Baltics & Scandinavia 3 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
Having now returned from this trip, I would prefer that some of the 2 night stays be allocated to Sweden and Finland. It will be worthwhile for Cosmos to consider a cruise option from Estonia to St Petersburg to avoid the border crossing. This was a long and excruciating travel period.
European Masterpiece 13 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2017
Overall we would recommend this tour as a good overview of the European Continent. It was good value for money.

Our first comment is that the tour director Amela and the bus driver Flavio were excellent. We drove on so many narrow twisting roads we thought the driver did an amazing job, and the coach was so comfortable it was like gliding along the read more highways. Amela had a great sense of humour and an excellent knowledge of every place we went.

As we had never been to the Continent before, this tour appealed to us because it visited so many countries. The tour mostly met our expectations as we did visit the main cities, and there was enough time to see the major tourist attractions. The pace of the tour was fast to fit everything in the 29 days. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience. However, we were disappointed that we spent all day driving through Germany and saw nothing of any German city or major town and we spent the night in an unpicturesque area in the outskirts. The one hour cruise on the Rhine in Germany was enjoyable but did not compensate for really seeing nothing of Germany except the highways and trees.

Overall the hotels we stayed at were standard 3 star accommodation, and with a few exceptions were acceptable. We actually enjoyed the old hotels as their antiquity was part of their charm, and we had some stunning views from hotels such as in Sorrento and San Marino. Most of the included dinners were good.

Highlights of the tour were the optional extras which in most cases were exceptionally good, particularly the Lido in Paris, the Mt Titlis experience in Switzerland, the visit to Capri, Barano island, the Greek night out and many others that were well worth the cost.

However a couple of excursions were quite poor. We chose the excursion to three Greek Islands, not knowing that on the boat we would be charged extra for further 'optional excursions' such as a 'panoramic bus tour' of one island because we were told we would see nothing if we didn't go on it, and a guided walk to see less known parts of another island. We felt ripped off because we were not told about the 'extras' in this optional excursion. We also thought the gondola ride in Venice was spoiled by crowding six people into one gondola, which made it uncomfortable and difficult to take photos. We would have preferred to pay a higher price if necessary to have less people in each gondola so we could have enjoyed the experience. The amount of tipping recommended by Cosmos for the tour director and bus driver seems excessive to us and was an issue of controversy for the whole group who went on the tour. (Ed. Itinerary amended slightly and name changed from European Masterpiece to All About Europe in 2019)
Better than expected 3 Focus on Scandinavia , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
The trip was better than expected. The itinerary was good. Coach new and comfortable. Tour director and local guide all excellent. Some hotels are in the city center. All hotels with excellent breakfast.
