Whirlwind through the UK 11 The Best of Britain & Ireland , WA, Australia, Jul 2017
We have done a couple of Cosmos tours and they have been great, but this one was disappointing. Unlike the other tours we did (Europe and USA), there were no included experiences, not even any guided walking tours. If you wanted to explore any of the villages/cities then you had to arrange it yourself, or go on one of the offered experiences, which read more were very expensive. The hotels were too far out of each town to enable confident travel alone into each town, and so most of us felt compelled to go to the offered dinners at quite considerable expense. To be fair, two of the dinners we attended were fabulous and included local entertainment as well, and they were not as rushed as some of these experiences can be, so that was good. Our guide was quite strict, but I guess you have to be when you are responsible for 40+ people.
Excellent holiday - Canada & Alaska   7 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , NSW, Australia, Jul 2017
One of the best holidays we had. Awesome experience, the rocky mountaineer was fabulous and the road trip was very well planned and managed. The tour director was very knowledgeable and very organised. The cruise was fantastic and the sailing through the inner passage is very beautiful. The views of Glacier Bay was unreal and a must see. Totally recommend read more this tour, worth every cent. Last but not the least, Georgie our contact in Global journeys is a star. She was always very prompt in responding to our queries and had the patience to take us through the entire process.
British Isles Sightseeing 6 The British Isles in Depth , QLD, Australia, Jul 2017
My first group tour. Didn't realize how elderly the group would be but all good enough people. Didn't really get the chance to meet any locals as there were limited short free times. Discovered that mass Chinese tourists have overtaken German ones as the rudest. A sightseeing only tour that satisfied that criteria. Weather was OK in July. Many sites read more overcrowded. Airports unable to cope with 800 seat planes and higher security. Guides and drivers very good. Cosmos and Global Journeys were very efficient. Food pretty average but acceptable for Britain. Hotels acceptable.
Amazing 13 day tour of beauty. 2 Alpine Adventure, Bernina & Glacier Express , QLD, Australia, Jul 2017
We toured the most beautiful stunning mountains, lakes and cities of Switzerland, Italy and Austria. The breath-taking landscape made it such a memorable trip.
Very well organised holiday! 1 , 2906, Australia, Jul 2017
Amazing holiday, the highlights for me were the concert in Vienna and the cruise in Budapest! Tour Director, her name was Kristine, was excellent! Very helpful tab all times! The cities visited were so good!
Enjoyable to the max   5 , VIC, Australia, Jul 2017
Our Cosmos tour through Italy. Greece, and the Greek Isles extension was truly great. (Booked through Global Journeys) I have no hesitation in recommending this tour. In our case we had a total of 19 in our group made up of people from the US, NZ and Aust. The coach, (which was 1 week old and on its first tour too) had a capacity of 45 so we had plenty read more of room to spread out.

The accommodation was all to a high standard and usually better than I expected considering the discount price. Most were located close to the centre of the city we were visiting, (close enough that you could easily catch a bus or taxi if you wanted more of the sights in your own time.) We never did that as we found the included sight seeing enough for us, except for Rome were you could walk to St Peters in 20 mins from the hotel. The only place where the accommodation was too far from the real action was Venice but unless you pay a small fortune, it is difficult to stay right on the island. The tour did visit the island twice and we found that enough, it was a real highlight.

The guide was brilliant, (Lambros) and all the other guests made the trip really enjoyable. We thought we were lucky only having 19 on the tour until we got to the cruise extension, then it was just our guide (George) and the 2 of us! we got plenty of personalized touring done, for the price of a regular group tour. I highly recommend doing the extension tour, the visits to Mykonos and Santorini were real highlights for me and even an amateur photographer can take a great photo there, It's just breathtaking. Without the extension the Greek part of the tour would have been a little flat after the highlights of Italy, but maybe that's just my tastes. Italy was fantastic. The guides really knew how to gt the most out of each day by avoiding crowds, traffic jambs, skipping queues. We were impressed by their ability to get to the best places before the crowds caught up.

Booking the optional tours in advance is slightly more expensive than doing it locally, but it is so worth the extra to avoid queues and you lose valuable time just making the arrangements on the spot. We didn't do all the optional tours but we did most. Almost all were well worth it and you can add or delete as you go so you can ask the guide if you can't decide.

What I wanted from the tour was an easy way to get around to see the highlights, visit the tourist hot spots without hassle and that is what I got and much more. But it was only a taste of Italy and Greece. If you want to immerse yourself in culture this trip may not be for you.All the transfers, guides, accommodation and arrangements handled through Cosmos and Global journeys were flawless. Based on my pleasant experience I would certainly consider booking another trip through them.
Our Cosmos Italy holiday   4 , VIC, Australia, Jul 2017
This was my second tour with Cosmos (1st was Europe 2015). What can I say! Was brilliant!! Everything was so well researched and planned. The tour gave us a taste of many elements of Italy - country, romantic, busy city and and of course the marvellous history. Hotels were good and tour was well paced. Last but not least was our tour Director 'Savio'. read more He was brilliant! He was so passionate and knowledgeable about Italy that it was infectious!. Everyone loved him! Well done Savio!
Lovely Central Europe Holiday 1 Central Europe , NSW, Australia, Jul 2017
It was such a good way to see many cities & countries in a short time. The drivers, Giovanni and his dad, were excellent. Tour director, Orsi, was pleasant and informative. Very well organised tour. We were lucky to be in a small group and we had a brand new coach. What a bonus! Most of hotels were good, though they were quite far away from centre of read more the city (except for Abba Hotel in Berlin). My highlights of the trip must be Poland and Hungary. Munich is very vibrant. The optional Medieval Tour in Prague was a let down for me. Overall, it was a lovely trip.
We have already recommended this tour 4 Irish Discovery , WA, Australia, Jul 2017
Fabulous tour, accommodation excellent, destination towns & sites, weather not so good but we did not
expect good weather anyway. Tour director very good, as with coach driver. Glad we booked with Globus. Yvonne at Global Journeys was great. Have already recommended this tour to many of our friends.
A wonderful opportunity ruined.   8 , WA, Australia, Jul 2017
Trips to Pompeii, The Colosseum, The Acropolis and Olympia which according to the itinerary should have been morning tours were changed to mid afternoon in the hottest part of the day. We weren't impressed with the rude and aggressive attitude of the tour director being treated like small children did not impress me either. Having our dinner before read more checking in to our hotels on many occasions was most annoying considering the opportunity to have a shower and change of clothing before dinner was not possible. We felt that because of these complaints spoilt what should of been a much better experience. Considering the two tours we did in the USA covering greater distances between hotels we never had these problems at all. We felt that the changes to the hotel checking in / dining was not done for our benefit but more to suit the Tour Director and driver.
Canadian and Alaskan Masterpiece Cosmos Tour 1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, Jul 2017
So pleased that we decided on this tour through Global Journeys at Noosa with Madeline Lewis as our travel consultant. Excellent service and assistance from Madeline from start to long after the finish. The tour was really great - visiting Vancouver when it was their national anniversary year with lots of celebrations to enjoy followed by the Rocky read more Mountaineer up to Banff plus fabulous coach trip back along another route. Then the cruise up into Alaska was a fantastic experience and we were so happy with everything. Will visit Canada again with Cosmos to do the Eastern half next... Our tour coach driver and guide were excellent throughout and so well organised.
Wonderful Scandinavian tour 2 Focus on Scandinavia , VIC, Australia, Jun 2017
Completed the tour in early July 2017, in general it is very good though there are scope for minor improvements. Highly recommended this one for people who don 't mind sitting on the coach most of the day enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the Nordic regions especially Norway 's u spoiled wilderness. Booking with Global Journey is always a top notch read more service, Yvonne Brooks is truly a champ!
20 Day Majestic Canadian Rockies & Alaska (Cosmos) 3 The Canadian Rockies with Alaska Cruise , WA, Australia, Jun 2017
I would travel with Cosmos and book with Global Journeys again. We travelled at the right time of year, the weather was absolutely great, which made the scenery more spectacular with the snow capped mountains all the way. The Glacier Passage was the highlight for me. We had an excellent Tour Director, who was very caring, knowledgeable, cheerful and read more helpful. We had a lovely crowd, and everyone got on with each other all the way. We were lucky to see a Black Bear and her 2 cubs crossing the road in front of our coach. A couple of coyotes at the side of the road, and a couple of whales out at sea. All in all a very enjoyable trip of a lifetime.
Great visit to North American cities. 2 Eastern Us & Canada Grand Vacation , QLD, Australia, Jun 2017
It was a great group and great size, only about 20. The city experiences were amazing and local guides very knowledgeable. Enough free time to explore and chances to get away on your own. Hard to pick a highlight, I enjoyed all the places we visited. I enjoyed my extra days in New York post-trip, after getting a feel for it on our city tour on the first read more day. Lots to see and do. Great weather, great company and friendly locals. I can't wait to go again!
Great trip - highly recommended 5 Grand Tour of Britain & Ireland , SA, Australia, Jun 2017
Wonderful trip lead by a fabulous guide! Highlights were the Scottish Highlands, west coast of Ireland, Lakes District and Edinburgh. I got my fill of history, architecture and fabulous views.
Enjoyable Tour 5 Sicily , New Zealand, Jun 2017
Busy tour had good tour director. Hotels well situated and included meals good. The two optional dinners were very good with plenty of food and the wine flowed all night. Overall good value for money.
I just love Canada 5 Alaska & the Yukon with Alaska Cruise , VIC, Australia, Jun 2017
I had so much fun and my fellow travellers are also to thank for this. Everything was as I had come to expect from Cosmos. Kris was a great guide, very confident, entertaining and fully of information and wonderful stories. Kane was a very careful and considerate driver full of his own stories maybe a bit aloof at times. With all the trips I take, read more I always try to get value for money and see as much as I can in the time allowed. Of course this often means travelling long days over many miles but that's my choice. The guide and driver make it as pleasant as possible. With many stop for drinks, eats and photos.

Having the midnight sun certainly helped stretch out the days, as it was always light enough to check out the town we arrived in socialize with the other trip members etc, before setting off the next morning. I loved everything about Alaska and the Yukon but I guess seeing bits of the Glacier fall off on the very first day was hard to beat. The White Pass train showed us some breathtaking scenery and Dawson City has the best piano player around. We were lucky enough to see plenty of wildlife but I think it was the natural pure, true beauty of Canada and Alaska that blew me away.

I enjoyed the cruise but felt that the internet should have been free (not that I used it, not at 79c US a minute). Still the staff could not have been more helpful and again it was a very pleasant first time experience. Great day excursion off the cruise, once again seeing plenty of wildlife and lovely towns. If I had to complain about anything it would be just that I wished things could have been paid for in cash onboard and not always the credit card. Made things a bit more expensive with the US/AUS exchange rate.
Trip of a Lifetime 6 , New South Wales, St Clair, Jun 2017
Great time of year to travel in Europe however there was a heatwave in Greece and 46 ° was unpleasant, overall the weather was hot and beautiful. The Tour Director, Patricia, was absolutely superb, knowledgeable, caring, warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for her, these people can often make or break a tour and she made it an unforgettable read more holiday. The Driver, Paolo, was brilliant, extremely smooth. The sights were glorious and lots of little extras thrown in.

Accommodation was not luxurious but clean, standard rooms. There was a good mix of friendly people on the Coach. Global Journeys handled the booking with consummate professionalism and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending both them and the All About Europe tour (previously named European Masterpiece) as the holiday of a lifetime, it was quite simply breathtaking.
Easy Greece 4 The Best of Greece , NSW, Australia, Jun 2017
My first tour experience was much as I expected: easy and pleasant with some less pleasant side effects. The guide and driver were terrific, as were my fellow travellers, and of course Greece itself. The early mornings, heat and exertion all took their toll by week's end but that made the rooftop pool at Meteora even more welcome. The hotels and their read more food were uneven in quality but all except one had excellent staff. I would prefer to have more choice of venues for lunch: being trapped in large impersonal 'restaurants' selling expensive poor quality food to sometimes as many as 3 coaches for an hour or so became the lowlight of my days. A small town with a few shops/café choices would have suited me and at least half a dozen of my fellow travellers much better.
Majestic Canada Wonderful 8 The Canadian Rockies with Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, Jun 2017
Thank you Hannah for looking after our booking. Every thing went as smooth as silk. From making our payments to receiving our documents. Jennifer our Cosmos tour guide was excellent so was our coach driver Jeff. 51 people on the coach & no one was late ever. Float plane & Peak to Peak in Whistler was Magic. Maligne Lake & Spirit Island was very read more picturesque. Optional tour not to miss. Due to our hotel in Banff having a fire early in year we had 3 one nights in a row. Cosmos gave us a free dinner. What a great night it was. We went to a ranch had a BBQ, hay ride, country music & line dancing. Disappointed in cruise. Ports were full of shops & cruise ships. Glacier Bay was magic the best part of the cruise. Overall value for money yes. Beautiful photos of snow cap mountains & waterfalls for memories. Would I book with Global Journeys again. Yes Yes.
P.S.In Vancouver at Canada Place Fly Over Canada is a must!
