What an amazing experience. We went not really knowing what to expect, and to expect the unexpected. What we received exceeded our expectations. Booking this tour online was hassle free. Everyone was so helpful and prompt with all my questions and gave me the best of service... would recommend this to anyone. Our tour leader was a welsh girl, Nicci. read more She was just amazing with her knowledge base and her interpersonal skills. Nothing was too much trouble and she would go over and beyond what we would expect. Our driver, John, was so helpful and an expert with his driving skills... we felt so safe how he negotiated those narrow Irish roads with precision.
The tour was such an experience, we loved it, the scenery was to die for and we would definitely travel with Globus again. My only negative comment is in regard to a hotel in Glasgow. I thought it was sub standard with no air flow and the carpet was loose on the floor and not very clean.. A hotel that I think probably should not be in the group, though in saying that the meal provided by this hotel was very nice with good service. Maybe the tour pace a little rushed with the optional excursions and included meals. Our overall comment is great fun had by all with a very sociable group who all interacted well together and cared for others. If I could do this again I would want the very same group and tour leader so thank you Globus it's a credit to your team.

Enjoyable Introduction to Iceland 2

Very enjoyable short introduction to Iceland. Easy booking and details well managed both in advance and on the ground. Global Journeys very easy to deal with from initial contact to questions and follow up. Only issue were flights which we booked with RyanAir and IcelandAir via Oslo - arriving at Reykjavik was a poor experience with very extended delay read more in retrieving luggage meant that we were late for dinner/briefing.
Travelled with 43 fellow passengers on this tour, from Australia, NZ, UK and USA. Coach was excellent but no spare seating. Highlights of the tour would be Postojna Caves, Pula, Zadar and Split and the Diocletian's Palace and the water front. On the downside the Tour Director was terrible. We also had a change of hotel in Opatija (lower Grade ) without read more notice. The drinks served with meals were ONE only very, very small glass of wine, small beer or small soft drink!!! Overall we loved the countryside and historic towns and villages, and the pace of the tour. Will not forget our late night swim in the Adriatic sea at Zadar. Enjoyed the optional excursions, sunset cruise and dinner, Konavie valley, Alpine Bled. Thanks Jemma at Global Journeys for answering all our queries.

This was our first Globus brand tour. We were impressed with the high quality and location of our hotels , generally very close to the city centre, easy walking distance to key attractions, restaurants and shops. Our tour guide for the whole trip (including the Russia extension) was a true professional, having some 30 years experience and a specialist read more in the Nordic region. The pace of the tour was pretty good, only in the northern regions of Norway and Finland were we stopping for single night stays. The scenery was very spectacular overall, with Tromso a real surprise, fantastic views and great weather. Russia didn't disappoint either, St Petersburg was delightful. The optional tours, although somewhat expensive, added to the great experience of the tour. Overall we were impressed with the itinerary and the Globus professionalism.
Great way to get a couple of days touring in a couple of the major European cities. No fuss travel, met by guides as required and ensured transfers all worked well. Local tours OK in Vienna & Prague. Hotels in good location to do own touring. Hotel in Vienna undergoing renovations so drilling started at 7am and didn't stop until 3pm. Only a problem if wanted afternoon nap.

Majestic Rockies with Rocky Mountaineer

This trip was full of incredible experiences through stunningly beautiful countryside! There were so many beautiful photo opportunities, glacier-fed lakes surrounded by snow-capped mountains covered with tall fir trees being the pick of them for me.
The experiences we had area around Jasper would have to be my favourite, especially the boat cruise read more on Maligne Lake and the walk on the Athabasca Glacier, both included tours. We also did the optional Maligne Canyon Walk that we really enjoyed. Another optional that we loved was the McGillivray Lake Fur Trader Feast at Sun Peaks when we got to paddle canoes on glass-like water. Absolutely magic!
Our tour guide, Tarek, was very well-organised and very knowledgeable and did his best to make sure my dietary requirements were catered for. The hotels we stayed in were mostly of a very high standard and within good walking distance of town. Included tours were well-balanced with leisure time and there were quite a few optional tours available. We were really pleased we chose to finish the tour on the Rocky Mountaineer back to Vancouver rather than finish in Calgary as it afforded us more of the stunning scenery.

Spain and Portugal are a must do, so much to see and do, the Spanish and Portuguese people are very friendly. Globus were very efficient, as with most group tours the pace was pretty hectic but we were aware of this before we went. Jemma at Global Journeys did a great job in helping me set the holiday up, next holiday I will explore with her for sure.

Wilderness and nature at its best in Alaska and the Yukon 6

The Globus Ultimate Alaska and The Yukon tour was magical. This tour took us to the wilderness, where with this amazing land, of forests, pure clean lakes and rivers, snow capped mountains and wildlife and humans live in harmony. Our driver and guides' knowledge was awesome, giving us insight into may wonders we didn't know existed. It was a step back read more in history and time.
There is nothing that I would complain about. Accommodation, food and tours were far better then any other group I have travelled with. The drive on The Top of the World Highway and the ferry crossing into Dawson City, was one of the many highlights, along with the Denali Tours, Glaciers and seeing grizzly & black bears, moose, caribou, red fox, snowshoe hare, Artic ground squirrels, seals otters, whales, dolphins and birds was more then we ever expected to see in the wild. Thank you Globus, you know how to show the country at its best.

Enjoyed this trip tremendously. Great food, tours and company. Sicily is so interesting. Well organised. Would have liked the tour to start and finish near the airport.
Fantastic 12 day tour with Globus. Everything was well organised with fantastic sight seeing opportunities and amazing accommodation. While it was go go go most of the time we did have a few days to ourselves to do optional excursions. Included breakfast and the dinners were of really good quality.
I chose this tour for the photo opportunities with read more the beautiful Canadian Rockies and the wildlife and I wasn't disappointed. Great tour overall and I would recommend it to others.

Grand Western Canada Vacation with Alaska Cruise

Had an absolutely fantastic time, every facet from booking through Global (thanks Madeline and Tracey) to the day we landed back home was filled with memorable moments including bears, whales, deer, elk, eagles, otters and many other wildlife sightings. The scenery was breathtaking at times and left you in awe of mother nature in all her glory. Hotels read more were fantastic, meals regular and of a high standard, out tour director Caterina was an absolute joy and so organised it left us with no thinking to do at all, just sit back and enjoy the trip.
Driver Mike was on time, professional, courteous and just the guy you would want behind the wheel on the open roads of Canada. Pace of the road tour was great with just enough two day stops to allow you to unwind, the cruise was also fine but just did not quite live up to the road portion of the trip with a half day to start and finish (boarding and disembarking), and two days all cruising it left 4 days for adventures.

I chose this trip to bring my mum to the US and Canada. This trip is very suitable for older people. You do not even need to carry your own luggage to your room from the coach. The pace of the trip was great too. Our tour leader was so funny and he entertained us on the coach with all his jokes and interesting facts. He was also very organised. He timed read more the whole itinerary up to 5 minute accuracy.
Great trip with wonderful accommodations. The scenery was amazing but if you want to see the Salmon run then travel later in July or August and not early June.

We both think our 13 Day Globus Tour was a very good choice and were delighted we took the Holland America cruise extension. Global Journeys helped make sure we had all the details sorted out well in advance and everything went to plan. The Globus tour director and coach driver both did an excellent job of keeping everything running smoothly. They anticipated read more almost everything we might need, were entertaining, and were kind and courteous guides to some spectacular parts of British Columbia and Alberta.
With several bear sightings at Whistler, Jasper and elsewhere not to mention all the other wildlife, marine life and exquisite scenery there were numerous memorable moments. The absolute highlight of the Alaska cruise has to be Glacier Bay National Park (yet it gets only a brief line in the Globus brochure). We greatly enjoyed the formal dinners each evening and the very leisurely cruise through the (tranquil) Inside Passage.

We thoroughly recommend this tour with Globus. It was very well organised, we never felt rushed, were entertained by our guide on the longer drives and had freedom to buy our own lunches which we preferred. I chose this particular itinerary as I wanted to spend time at the Butchard gardens in Victoria. We had plenty of time at the gardens followed by read more a wonderful buffet meal served in their Blue Poppy restaurant on site.
We toured in June and had amazing weather the whole trip. In Whistler it was 30 deg. Celsius with blue skies and we spent all afternoon travelling on gondolas from peak to peak and back again amazed to see people skiing on the snow and yet we were wearing t-shirts and not cold. Our Globus tour guide, Doug Miller and our coach driver Keith did a superb job and I would certainly do a Globus Tour again in the future.

Eastern US & Canada Discovery

This was our first of 2 tours we did with Globus and won't be our last. Our tour director, Matt Guido, was entertaining, informative, friendly and well organised. From dining with an Amish family in Lancaster to viewing Niagara Falls from a helicopter (our favourite optional excursion) to the beautiful, old French city of Quebec, we thoroughly enjoyed read more this trip.
Organised experiences were well balanced with time on our own to explore as we wished, with guidance from Matt. The hotels were all of a high standard and well situated within easy walking distance to major places of interest.
We were very fortunate to be in an unusually small group of only 16 who all got on well with each other, making the trip that much more enjoyable. Thanks Hannah from Global Journeys who assisted with our booking of this and the Globus tour of the Rockies that we did after it.

What a great holiday it was a real whirlwind of fabulous sights and experiences. Scotland is absolutely awesome and a lovely cruise on Loch Lomond was perfectly relaxing, so surreal.
People are lovely and the landscape perfectly green... amazing! Really enjoyed Cornwall and Dartmoor and Looe and lots lots more. One suggestion would be to spend less read more time in Stratford-upon-Avon and more time in Oxford and York.

We undertook a 24 day UK tour in June 2019. The overall tour was excellent with few hiccups on the way. We found the hotel rooms quite hot with only a few being air conditioned and only a few had fridges. My pet peeve was the shower over the bath which I think is quite dangerous for seniors. This was a fairly fast paced tour with mostly one night stays read more in most towns, and only a few 2 night stays. Our Tour Director was excellent, and Coach Driver top notch. I can recommend this tour.

Splendors of South Africa & Victoria Falls

Our trip to South Africa and Zimbabwe was just out of this world. This trip was one that we thought that we would never get to. Driving into Cape Town we were greeted with the majestic sight of Table Mountain, a view that is difficult to describe. The awesome magnificence of the mountains were stunning and breathtaking. The mist rolled in and we could read more only see parts of it. It lies like a foreboding adversary high above the coast and the town. We loved all the sights during our stay and were fortunate enough to be able to ride the gondola to the top and wander along the ridge to gain even more spectacular views of the surrounding area.
We visited the Chetah Outreach and were fortunate enough to be able to pat one at the expensive price of approximately 10cents. We also saw meerkats and seals! We went to Bird World, quite rundown but amazing birds to see. Next we saw the Jackass Penguins and even though the rain was annoying and very wet we actually got to see a penguin chick hatch. After leaving Cape Town we flew to Hoedspruit and then drove to Makalali Game Reserve where we ventured into the wilderness. I celebrated my birthday in style seeing a giraffe at the waterhole right beside our Jeep. Best present ever. Our driver was Lewis and Anton our Tracker. I ‘m sure we had the best crew! During our six safaris lasting about 3 hours each we were privileged to see, Giraffes, Lions, Cape Buffalo, Elephants, Hippopotamuses, Leopards, Rhinos, Elan, Kudus, Wart Hogs, Zebra, Hyena, Hunting Dogs, Honey Badger and more not to mention the numerous species of birds including the Horn Bill. Like the Lion King all over. The accommodation was to die for, outdoor shower and all!
Next we travelled to Johannesburg, visiting Nelson Mandela’s House, and the Museum. Also the slums, it was definitely a eye opener for us! Following 2 days there we flew to Victoria Falls. The Elephants wandered the front yard of the hotel grounds. You could hear the Falls thundering the distance. The mist in the morning from them could almost be felt on the room balcony. We walked across part of the front of the Falls and then headed back to enjoy a helicopter ride over the Falls and down the river, we had a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River and spotted a crash of Hippos frolicking in the water. It was very sad to leave and head back to Johannesburg. Then home. An absolutely amazing time was had by us both!!
