An excellent introduction to some of the Spanish and Portuguese cities. Accommodation was generally good, the Monastery hotel in Salamanca was the best and the least up to standards is the hotel in Madrid. Tour Director was very helpful and knowledgeable and the scenery is amazing. The best places for us were the Costa de Sol coast of southern Spain read more and the cities of Toledo, Seville, Salamanca and Granada.
Wish we knew more about day 2 only involved driving around those top tourist attractions. On that day we only actually visited St Paul's Cathedral. If we would have known, we would stay a few days more to visit those places ourselves. The rest of the tour was great. We particularly love the wild side of Ireland and the Scottish highlands. We are read more impressed with how the booking was handled. This was our very first time engaging an online travel agent and it was the best thing - every step was well managed and everything we liked to know or sort out were met. It would be great if Global Journeys would also take care of stopping overs. (Ed. Your wish is on our shortlist - thanks for your feedback :)
Scenery on the Rockies tour was wow all the way. Only negative was the length of time spent of the Rocky Mountaineer train (around 12 hours each day) and by the end of the day we could wait to arrive at destination. All the same the RM was fun, food great and staff worked hard to make it a memorable experience. We would rather have 2 night stays, the read more 1 nighters between Banff & Victoria were too rushed. All the meals. Were first class. The places visited on the Alaska cruise were a highlight. Loved the Alaskan countryside & the excursions we took (booked with private companies) were awe inspiring. A slight negative was the overall operations of the cruise ship. The entertainment was great, facilities were great and we had fun. We did think that the food was only average & not up to the standard of other cruises we have been on. There is only one coffee shop on board & they were always under the pump. The staff generally seem the be constantly under pressure and we did not enjoy the usual rapport you have on a cruise, especially with the waiters. Some of the staff bordered on being unfriendly. Maybe that could be a language problem as nearly all staff were from Indonesia & Philippines.
Wonderful scenery, which changed daily. Good driver and our cheerful tour guide kept us well informed. The coach was kept clean but many faulty seat belts. Plenty of comfort stops. We highly recommend this tour to other travellers. The dates of our tour, late May, proved perfect, just before the large crowds with the American summer holidays.
Impressed and satisfied with the whole tour

The tour itinerary was well thought out. The tour director briefed us very well at the beginning of the tour, and kept us well informed daily. The local tour guides were very knowledgeable and approachable. We were impressed and satisfied with the whole tour experience.
Well organised with an excellent tour director

Excellent tour, well organised with an excellent, experienced tour Director, Mr Mauricio Yonfa. Nothing was left to chance and the tour proceeded without any problems. Accommodation was excellent unlike our previous tour to Scandinavia. The ability of a tour Director makes or breaks the Tour. This tour is highly recommended. Only down side was that read more we were the only tourists from Australia.
Lived up to expectations 1
Murray & Judy Pearce, VIC, Australia, May 2015
An enjoyable tour. Some hiccups - but that's life. And the tour was in Italy. Tour overall lived up to expectations as described in the brochure. Some hotels were excellent; other less so eg. complex WiFi arrangements, in isolated places, staff were user unfriendly. Optional excursions were satisfactory or better- one was fantastic (Monteriggioni & read more Cherry Dinner); the other two (Spello With Dinner and Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore With Dinner) were good. Really enjoyed the farewell dinner and show night at Rome. Tour Director and Driver excellent.
We are very very happy that we did this tour 3
Barry, QLD, Australia, May 2015
This is a magnificent tour - touring famous and very beautiful National parks - the scenery was breathtaking . But this is a very hectic tour with a lot of mileage - we did 5,000 kms in the 15 days. We are very very happy that we did this tour - but it is not for the faint hearted!!!
Excellent tour, all meals were first class and to get a pint of beer/Guiness included was a real bonus. Tour guide and coach captain were both top class, the guide spoke for just the right amount of time.
Our recent Majestic Rockies & Rocky Mountaineer Tour was a very enjoyable & memorable experience. We consider to overall rating of this tour as very good, but tended to be dampened somewhat by the substandard breakfast meal provided by the Vancouver nominated hotel, (Georgian Court). The remainder of the tour features were very commendable.
The tour director and driver were excellent. The coach party were all friendly and responded to John's (tour director) request to be on time for departures at morning, lunch and other stops. We were disappointed to get single beds in all hotels, except one, after requesting double and not twin beds. All rooms were clean and comfortable. We did not read more realise that the tour would be so battle orientated, with various guides at different places having their own, sometimes, conflicting views on the battles. We also felt there was a castle overload and not so much about the country and people of Scotland itself. Our visits to the islands went without a hitch and were our main reason for taking this trip. All ferries ran and the occasional rain did not hamper the tour. Although this did not affect us, a fellow traveller who requires gluten free products was not well catered for. When we stopped for lunch in various places, it was difficult to find somewhere to eat which had gluten free food, so she had to opt for just a cup of coffee. The time did not allow for going into too many cafes to find out if they supplied gluten free food. Ken and some others, felt that one hour from start of breakfast to departure was not enough time when queuing was involved. Thank you Emily for all your help in organising this trip for us and we have, as you know, also booked our canal cruise - Amsterdam to Budapest - in August with you. We will certainly be contacting you for other trips in the future.
Great holiday 3

Great holiday. The tour guide was good but only saw him for one hour - I think that that's the way this tour is organised.
Great way to see the 4 islands 1
Robin Lerch, QLD, Australia, May 2015
Accommodation at Sheraton was superb!! Great way to see the 4 islands using pride of America. Having said that the fly/coach Cosmos deal could be just as good. Only complaint is the over talkative, bus/tour drivers - the stories were driving us crazy, you don't mind a bit of info but not 24/7! Michelle from Global Journeys was great as per usual.
Good that we had a lot of free time. Did not have to follow a 'flag' and the provided dinners had optional times. Unfortunately due to distances to travel we had very little time at Mammoth Lakes, which looked like a great place. Also we had an included tour through Glen Canyon Dam, had we been given more information we probably wouldn't have done the read more Hoover Dam Tour (which we did privately). Overall very happy with the pace and content of the tour.
A great tour to Spain

We had a fabulous time and can't wait to return. Sandrine was knowledgeable and punctual keeping things running well. Dominico was a great driver. Thoroughly recommend.
Wonderful journey through the Rockies - great way to take it all in. Great mix of organised touring and time to explore yourself.

Very happy with tour, keeping in mind that it was a very quick look at a lot of different places in Italy. Has made me want to go back and see some areas in more depth. Very happy with tour guide and driver. Would definitely recommend this Globus tour to my friends.
Really was an archaeological tour - many great sights and a view of Southern Italy and Sicily that we didn't expect. Pace was good and optional offers filled out the tour. Meals, included and optionals were great. Some wonderful memories.
When I arrived in Milan for extra night prior to tour there was a bit of a fuss made at desk as they said I wasn't booked in for final night of the tour. In the package I received I was informed that the initial get to know you meeting with the tour director and group was at 6pm. When I arrived in hotel lobby it was over and everyone was heading out read more the door for the welcome dinner - I had missed all introductions and information and had to rush up to room and grab coat etc to go out with group. Only one hotel was below par - a Travel Inn in Lucca. Milan hotel was new but no facilities e.g. coffee shop. When I arrived mid afternoon nowhere to get a coffee or lunch without a long walk as hotel in middle of business district and very formal restaurant open late in evening. Only excursion that was really tiresome for most people was extremely long visit to Ferrari museum - half an hour or even an hour would have been enough. Other than that a very enjoyable tour with good food and good company. Very pleasant tour director but not much in way of local information.
