We had the best time on our holiday. So many amazing experiences, such gorgeous scenery and lovely people. The Globus bus portion was fantastic and organised really well. So was the cruise. I found booking with you was efficient and easy. I prefer e-mail communication and your responses were always quick and answered my questions. Also price was read more cheaper than my local travel agent. I would definitely book with Global Journeys again.
Great way to see the best of California

We had a wonderful tour guide, Allan, who really made the trip. The itinerary and highlights were very interesting and the coastal drive was beautiful. We even saw a bear at Yosemite. I would highly recommend this trip for those who want a taste of what California has to offer.
We had problems in our cabin , which were sorted out very professionally. The service and quality of food in the dining room was excellent. However the same can not be said for the buffet - as our meal was barely warm. Overall it was a good experience - the crew were very friendly and efficient.
Our driver Xavier was also excellent in that he slowed down for any photographic opportunities. The way we did Niagara was amazing and we truly got the best Niagara experience you could wish for. We didn't go back to Niagara on the optional excursion on our subsequent cruise because we felt it would spoil our superb memories. Don't think it could read more have been done any better. Sheraton Hotel rooms are small and pokey and were the worst of some very good hotels. Tour Director, Scott was very knowledgeable but treated us like children - i.e repeating himself 4 and 5 times. Altogether an excellent tour with some wonderful memories.
Loved the blend of land and sea based travel. Greek Islands, Patmos and Ephesus excellent. Guides of highest standard and made sure that everybody had a wonderful experience. Participants also of the highest standard and it was a pleasure to meet so many quality people. Greece financial issues did not create any problems.
All in all a fantastic tour

This is the second holiday I've had with Globus and also very enjoyable. This is an excellent travel company. Guides are very informative and the drivers are very accomplished. We are given the best rooms at each hotel. The Thistle Glasgow is tired, needs updating. Hotel on Isle of Skye is old, would be better to stay on the main land. Hilton at read more Dunkeld is also old but comfortable. Edinburgh Mercure was excellent, great view of the castle. Getting into Scone Palace first and having a private and intimate tour was excellent (guides provided by the palace were wonderful and very helpful). Getting into Edinburgh Castle before other tourists was terrific. All in all a fantastic tour. I would recommend Globus and would travel with them again. Thank you to Hannah from Global Journeys for looking after me.

Italian Treasures

The tour was wonderful and we were very lucky to have a fantastic Tour guide, Aida, who was very passionate about Italian culture and Italian food. The coach driver, Rocco, was excellent and we felt very safe at all times. The highlights were the Cinque Terre boat excursion, the visit to Verona with the arena, Juliet's balcony and a lovely fountain read more plus Assisi and of course Venice! The hotel in Venice, Palazzo Selvadego, was right next to St Mark's square allowing direct access to the square at night to listen to the lovely jazz music plus easy access in the morning to take great photos before all the tourist crowds arrive. The hotel breakfast was served in The Monaco Grand Hotel closeby which was directly on the waterfront with spectacular views. The Hotel Giotto in Assisi had a lovely terrace with beautiful views in the day plus lovely sparkling lights in the distance at night. The Global Journeys website was wonderful for comparing the different tours of Italy with the other companies. The tour documents arrived in the mail six weeks before the tour and emails were answered quickly. I have already booked another tour with Global Journeys as the discounts are fantastic.
Tthanks for such a fabulous time. We'll be back

The Best of Spain
Keri McSweeny & Phillip Redmond, QLD, Australia, Jun 2015
Absolutely loved our holiday in Spain. Our guide Samuel, and driver were terrific, very helpful, entertaining and informative. Loved the food, and all the experiences and the people on our bus were lots of fun. Some friendly suggestions...would like to have had the interior of Gaudi's church included. That was my main reason for visiting Spain, and read more was quite surprised not to have it included. We did go and do it on our own anyway. Would also like to have had Parc Guell included too. We did that on our own but couldn't get in sadly. We also couldn't get into see Picasso's gallery (also in Barcelona) after walking all the way there, but if it had been on the tour it wouldn't have been an issue. Not sure why those things weren't included as an extra. Would really have liked the hotels to have tea and coffee in the rooms too. Really missed that, but that may have been a cultural thing. One lunch stop was insanely busy, slow and disorganised, with incorrect orders brought out, and some people on our group quite disgruntled and stressed with the time limit. Samuel was there to do the best he could for everyone to keep the peace. May need to rethink that lunch stop for future. Overall very happy, thanks for such a fabulous time. We'll be back.
This tour was very well organised and included some fantastic accommodation. Some accommodation had spectacular views and of those in cities/ towns most were in a very good location, within walking distance of restaurants and the town centre. There were quite a few lunches/and all dinners included, all above average in quality and variety. The scenery read more was amazing, in particular Yellowstone National Park. The tour director and bus driver were both brilliant! The tour director was very knowledgeable and had many stories (of which some were tall tales) to tell. He was very approachable and clearly loved his profession. The driver was very skilled and courteous, a true professional! This tour far exceeded my expectations, which were very high. Although there was one point of interest at which I personally would have liked more time, the stops and overnight stays were excellent choices. I have organised many trips but on reflection could not replicate this tour. It was definitely value for the money!
Every aspect met or exceeded our expectations 1
Steve & Chris , WA, Australia, Jun 2015
The tour went off without a single hitch. Every aspect of the trip met or exceeded our expectations. It was well planned and well managed. Our tour director 'Pasquale' made our tour very special and went out of his way to ensure that everything was taken care of. Loved it.
The trip was well worth taking. The scenery was beautiful and we felt we saw a lot Moore than we would have had we done the trip by ourselves. The Tour guide had a lot of local knowledge which gave a better understanding of the areas we visited. We highly recommend this trip.
The tour exceeded our expectations, our guide Angelia and driver Carninon were exceptional. The 28 days were well balanced with some long travel days and some two or three night stops. We did all the optional tours - the Sligo Pub excursion, traditional Irish Cabaret evening and the Liverpool evening city tour were our personal highlights. With only read more 22 on a bus that seats 54 the travel was very comfortable. Accommodation was on the whole very good, most centrally located and if not dinner was included. Be aware that showers are located over baths. Wifi was available on the coach most days. The pre-night accommodation in London was very expensive for the quality of our hotel room being situated in the old part of the hotel. Many thanks to Yvonne for making our tour and flight bookings - many emails (promptly answered) allowed us to have the flights we wanted. We would definitely travel with Globus again and use Global Journeys again for future travel.
Fantastic tour, no doubts whatsoever 5
Rob & Rhonda Farrell, WA, Australia, Jun 2015
I can say without any doubts whatsoever that our tour was fantastic, from accommodation to our wonderful driver Denielo and tour guide Pia. We were looked after from day one and Pia's attention to every little detail was amazing. She was fantastic. Globus have really done their homework on these tours, and they really deliver. We would not hesitate read more to travel with them many times over . Our trip to Europe was a dream run. We will never forget it. Thank you Globus and special thanks to Denielo and Gorgeous Pia. Miss you both. Any one getting these two to drive and guide them will be very lucky indeed.
Perfect tour to see the 'in between' towns 2
Robert Cerasa, QLD, Australia, Jun 2015
If you have done the main cities of Italy, this is a perfect tour to see the 'in between' towns that are equally as pretty and no as crowded as the main cities. Very few early starts too. A very relaxing but very interesting holiday idea and included meals (wait for it) were much better than many I have had over the last 20 years.
Umbria, most of us don’t know how much beauty is in this little known area of Italy
1
Robert , QLD, Australia, Jun 2015
Everyone talks about Tuscany, thanks to the movie “Under a Tuscan Sun”, but Umbria has lots to see and at significantly lower prices for food and accommodation. Great places both in Tuscany and Umbria, and not too many hours in the coach. A nice paced tour all round.
If, like me, you’ve done the big four; Rome, Florence, Venice, and the Amalfi Coast, read more then you will see some different places that are just as scenic. I even went back a few years later, and did my own “Under an Umbrian Sun” and bought a derelict house in Cesi Umbria, and have now moved to Italy from Australia. So for me, a definite must do tour.
Great highlights tour 2
Kirsty, NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
The tour was a great highlights tour. We only had enough time to experience everything but not enough for in depth exploring. The tour director Anne was brilliant, very helpful and knowledgeable about the things we saw. I had a great trip.
We all had an enjoyable time 1
Paul & Anna Ippodimonte, NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
The tour from Rome to Venice was excellent. Our tour organiser was very experienced and made the whole trip very enjoyable. All went without any drama and we all had an enjoyable time. A great experience.
The tour was very enjoyable. That may have been affected by factors such as the size (only 24 people on the bus) and the fact that those people were very friendly and we had a lot of fun. The guide was terrific and very helpful. Everything went smoothly. Also in several places we stayed two nights - this make sit less hectic. I enjoyed the security read more of the tour more than the independent nature of the extension - although I loved Madrid and the trip to Toledo. Twice our optional excursions were rather marred by rain but obviously not the fault of the company! Some excursions - in particular - 'Beautiful Barcelona' seemed not to be good value.
Overall the tour was good but realistically it depends on how much of a seasoned traveller you really are and how many tours you have undertaken in recent years! We thought the accommodation varied from good to very good - in the middle of each town within walking distance to restaurants etc but felt the level of accommodation did vary from city to read more city. The standard of meals offered, especially those meals provided as part of the tour were often poor whilst the optional tour meal in Quebec City was outstanding! For the CN Tower in Toronto we made separate reservations a month ahead of our arrival and secured a window seat whilst those who did the optional tour had a fixed menu and were seated towards the centre of the restaurant. We paid less for our ala carte menu/ wine than our travelling companions and we secured a window seat.
Two days contained long travelling distances of more than 600 km for each day so be prepared for 6hrs + on the coach for those days. An extra day in both Montreal and Ottawa to explore the city would have been great. Our tour guide Gary was a wealth of detailed information and gave excellent advice regarding sightseeing options & explaining the layout of a town and where to eat etc but was not always well organised which disappointed some travellers. Overall we had a good time, but expect the unexpected with any organised tour and be flexible to a certain degree.
