Highlights of mainland Greece 4 Classical Greece , VIC, Australia, May 2016
We had an excellent Tour Director which made our trip most enjoyable. She knows the history of the places we visited and can relate this with Greek mythology that one usually learnt at school. Beautiful scenery and amazing culture.
Great way to see Germany 3 German Highlights , WA, Australia, May 2016
The German Highlights tour was the perfect way to get a taste of Germany. The Globus staff helped make the holiday even more enjoyable, the accommodation was excellent, especially the smaller hotels in Bavaria. Thoroughly recommend this tour.
Everyday brought new experiences 1 , QLD, Australia, May 2016
This is a back to back tour in Europe taking us away for around 40 days. Everyday brought new experiences. We had an extremely special tour director and coach driver. Enjoyed everyday of it!
Excellent service in all areas 2 Holland, Luxembourg & Belgium , Qld, Australia, Apr 2016
Michelle White at Global Journeys looked after us again. We found Michelle to be very knowledgeable and made our travel bookings stress free. Everything is organised. The tour was great and the Globus tours provided excellent service in all areas.
Springtime in London and Paris 6 , QLD, Australia, Apr 2016
Our Globus independent travel tour was a great way to start our holiday. The accommodation was excellent in both cities for location and service. Having a globus representative in the hotel everyday if we needed help or advice was a bonus for first time travellers. They also were able to secure theatre tickets to see Matilda the Musical at the Cambridge read more Theatre in London and the spectacular Moulin Rouge in Paris both great highlights of our stay. The half day included tours in each city were a good way to see the main sights in a short time and we will go back for more sometime in the future.
Classical Greece Holiday 4 Classical Greece , TAS, Australia, Apr 2016
I was really impressed with all aspects of this tour and the arrangements made for me. This applies from beginning to end: from when I first started making the bookings to the last day when I was transferred to the airport for the journey home. The places visited were impressive, the optional dinners were great and the organisation efficient and effective. read more There is only one improvement I would suggest to Globus: on the first full day of the itinerary it is not made clear exactly what is to be visited - it just says "sightseeing". It would be a helpful to know so that if you arrive before the tour starts you can go on your own to see places not included in the tour, in this case the Parthenon Museum.
Wonderful & enjoyable Cheerry Blossom Tour of Japan   3 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2016
Thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour. Excellent Tour guide (Eiko), and a great group of fellow travelers made this tour of Japan a memorable experience. Tour ((including the extension to Hiroshima and Osaka) was well conducted and certainly provided a true glimpse of this magnificent, hospitable and beautiful country.
A great taster of Spain 7 The Best of Spain , SA, Australia, Nov 2015
A great taster of Spain and chance to see the highlights. I would strongly suggest arriving earlier to see more of Madrid and staying on an extra day or two in Barcelona. Reasonable pace but an amount of walking on city tours and several long travel days that challenged a few people with fitness issues. Strongly recommend optional tours to Toledo and read more Montserrat and take time to visit Park Gruell, museums and the Catalonia Music Hall in Barcelona. Very supportive and knowledgeable guide and comfortable accommodation. Was expecting a small group so surprised that it was a large and full coach.
Wonderful trip through the South 6 America's Musical Heritage , NSW, Australia, Oct 2015
Wonderful trip through the South. Would highly recommend this tour if you are interested in music. It had the lot. Great studios and museums, plantations and music. Hotels were in great locations but some were a bit below par. Opreyland hotel in Nashville was fabulous but the Double Tree in Memphis was grubby. I had to change rooms as there were large read more cobwebs along one wall and dirty linen in another.
Very busy tour but very enjoyable. 1 , Australia, Oct 2015
Very busy tour but very enjoyable. The Tour Director, Fabiola, was sensational. Most of the hotels were very good except for one in Agrigento. The bus driver was great and drove very safely. The optional tour to the winery is a must do.
Driver was fantastic 7 Italian Mosaic , ACT, Australia, Oct 2015
The tour and local guides did not provide details of tourist sites other than Globus associated ones. In Capri, for instance, there was an international art exhibition being held across a number of sites but this was not mentioned as a possible activity during our free time, rather it was come to the cafe that Globus uses. There are other examples too. read more But it was a very good experience and the diver was fantastic.
Loved the variety 3 Eastern US & Canada Discovery , QLD, Australia, Oct 2015
Niagara Falls was fantastic. Loved the variety; eg. Amish dinner/fall foliage/Quebec's old buildings. Montreal and Toronto underground shopping centres were an experience like nothing in Australia.
Bucket list item 2 Eastern US & Canada Discovery , QLD, Australia, Oct 2015
It was a great experience and we would book with Global Journeys again. Niagara Falls was a highlight and we had plenty of time here; viewed from a helicopter (optional extra), below the falls, on the water and night-time dinner; I even got to change the colour of the lights reflecting on the falls! An excellent trip overall.
Most of the tour was pretty good 1 , NZ, New Zealand , Oct 2015
I thought most of the tour was pretty good, but the food let it down a bit, especially the dinners. There were too many hotel meals which were not based on the local cuisine but were just a basic buffet style international meal. Most of the local cuisine meals were only available as part of an optional excursion.
We felt we were with professionals 2 , QLD, Australia, Oct 2015
First impressions count, and when we first met our tour guide in Portugal we felt we were with professionals. Every detail was taken care and we felt safe and were looked after at all times. Our Guide Fernanda was so knowledgeable and quick to correct any problems. Not many at all! The Marian Shrine visits were so well organised and attended mass almost read more in every occasion. This was very important to us. I would suggest extend the length of the tour to an extra day or two to leave extra time interesting locations. For example: We did no have enough time to explore Burgos, we loved the place but time flew so quickly and next thing we were already having dinner and ready to go to bed. Also, Globus might consider to provide as part of the registration a travel pouch documents with the name of the Globus Family or similar objects to make us stand out and we could keep as souvenir after the tour. We took two optional tours. Dinner in Madrid and night tour, I don't think it offered value for money. The other tour to Avila was perfect and we enjoyed so much. Research more about the quality of local guide tours, some were difficult to understand although knowledgeable about the location but had difficulty in expressing. In overall, all the local guides offered a good service. In regards to food, I think care was taken to accommodate all tastes and dietary requirements! Thank you! We will definitively used Globus for our next tour whenever that might be. Thank you Hannah for all your help and for keeping us informed about our tour!
The whole tour was a fantastic experience 1 Eastern US & Canada Discovery , NSW, Australia, Sep 2015
The whole tour was a fantastic experience, it was so great to see all the cities that we visited, a longer stay in some places would have been nice, but I guess we will have to try and go back at another time. The tour director, Brenda Turner, was very knowledgeable about the cities and during the coach travel between cities. We did not realize there read more were optional tours available, but it was great to be able to do the ones which we did. (All except Montreal dinner and Helicopter over Niagara Falls). We will look forward to doing another tour with Globus in the future. Thank you Michelle for your assistance in making this part of our trip to Canada and USA possible and so much fun, we met some very nice people from Australia, New Zealand and USA, people we can now keep in contact with through emails, etc. and maybe catch up again someday. Thanks again.
Holiday was excellent 2 The Best of Eastern Europe , NSW, Australia, Sep 2015
The holiday was excellent with a number of varied experiences included... from river cruising in Budapest to driving through the open countryside. We saw interesting cities and towns and had a chance to appreciate the culture of eastern European regions and the resilience of its people. The optional excursions were colourful and fun. They provided the read more music and costumes of the region with local food and spirits, creating a bond with our fellow travelers. We had many enjoyable evenings out.
Tour perfect with plenty of time to do your own thing 2 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2015
Had a wonderful time. Hotels were 5 star. The tour perfect with plenty of time to do your own thing. We were blessed with perfect weather. Go in September, October not to hot, not to cold.
Would highly recommend 5 Lisbon & Northern Spain , VIC, Australia, Sep 2015
Excellent tour with exceptional tour guide, Luis. Gave an excellent overview of Northern Portugal & Spain with experiences & tastes related to the different regions. We had a very good group who intermingled really well. Would highly recommend.
Could not have been better in any way 7 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2015
The combination of 3 nights at the Sheraton Waikiki and 7 nights on board the "Pride of America", could not have been better in any way. I recommend the upgrade to the ocean view room at the Sheraton. We were lucky to be given Floor 23. Honolulu is a vibrant, exciting, beautiful city with the clearest, bluest water, but to experience the magic and read more incredible scenery that the Hawaiian islands have to offer, the cruise was the perfect way to go. Staying overnight in two of the ports allowed passengers the opportunity to venture further into the countryside. The volcanoes were most impressive and the canyons and rocky coastlines of Maui and Kauai were magical. On the last day, the ship makes a detour past the beautiful Na Pali coast of Kauai - something out of the ordinary, scenery wise. The ship travels at night, allowing maximum time in the ports. The crew of the "Pride of America" was wonderful and very hospitable. Our balcony cabin, on Deck 11, was right next to the pool, which was most convenient for a quick dip or hot spa and on the same level as the cafe eating area, I am still raving about this trip. Well done Georgie, again, for your expert assistance in making this holiday so special.
