Wonderful trip around Britain and Scotland taking in all the attractions. 9 Essential Britain , NSW, Australia, May 2017
Very well organised holiday. The accommodation was excellent. Bill the tour guide was very knowledgeable and very easy to get along with. Dai our coach driver was equally good, and I hope his health is improving. I have travelled on a number of Globus tours because they are well organised and worry free, and I was not disappointed this time. I will read more definitely be booking another holiday with Globus in the near future.
Canada & Alaska 3 Spirit of the Rockies with Rocky Mountaineer and Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, May 2017
So much is said about the beauty of Canada and Alaska. Well, its true. The Canadian Rockies are fantastic, and seeing them by train and then coach was spectacular. Add to that a very good tour guide and coach driver along with the pleasant and experienced rocky mountaineer staff you have a great holiday. Our tour group was also fantastic, and we read more got along really well for a group of 20+.
Great Holiday 10 Spirit of the Rockies with Rocky Mountaineer and Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, May 2017
Wow what a great trip! Having not been on a guided tour before I found the Globus staff to be helpful and friendly. As we traveled with another couple i requested we be placed together. Not only was our accommodation close to each other through each step but also our Rocky Mountaineer seats were side by side which made this spectacular excursion wonderful. read more Spectacular train journey and gold leaf was excellent. Staff were beyond excellent. Food superb! Alcohol generous!

Our bus tour guide Darcy was humble, knowledgeable and helpful, along with our bus driver Gunther we couldn't have asked for more fun bus journey. Spotting heaps of wildlife along the way it was never any trouble to stop for enough time so “everyone” could get a pic. All overnight accommodation was outstanding and could not have asked for better and again food was outstanding . Our only disappointment was there was never enough time at each overnight stop to explore the area.

Cruising on the Volendam was all we thought and more, sensational! Being our first cruise we loved the relaxed feel of the ship and I think it should be said that the gala nights on this ship in particular is nothing special. It's nice that everyone is dressed up but tuxedo and cocktail dress are not needed. The friendliness of the staff and the food, we could not fault. Awesome scenery not to be missed, we've ticked our bucket list.
14 days The Best of Eastern Europe   6 The Best of Eastern Europe , VIC, Australia, May 2017
My husband and I enjoyed thoroughly the whole trip of the 14 days Eastern Europe in April 2017. Though I cannot say it is perfect but it had met most of our expectations.

The tourist consultant, Dino, was exceptionally experienced, knowledgeable, helpful and responsible. The coach driver was also very polite and helpful. All the local tourist read more guides were also experienced and well presented. Out of the 43 tourists, I would say eighty percentage came from America, only 4 from Melbourne and two from New Zealand. We got along very well during our whole trip. The coach was very good except the wifi was sometimes very weak or disconnected. My husband and I joined in most of the excursions. Though they were not very cheap they were worth joining especially the concentration camp excursion. Most of the buffet breakfasts and the included dinners were of good standard. All the accommodations were centrally located so very convenient to find nice restatements, department stores and train stations.

I found your company , Global Journeys, trustworthy and well organised, and most importantly you offer good discounts to all tours and flights. I will definitely recommend your company to my friends.
Aboard the Pride of America 6 , WA, Australia, Mar 2017
The cruise was the highlight of this tour. Globus doesn't really do much, we see their rep once in Honolulu for an hour and again for a few minutes as we leave the Princess Kailuani Sheraton to embark onto the Pride of America. It was our first cruise and the Pride of America island-hopped from Honolulu, Oahu to Muai, Hilo & Kona on the Big Island to read more Kauai and back to Honolulu. We sailed by night and docked by day. We got off the boat to sight-see and returned to eat and sleep.

Entertainment on the ship was great. Each night the Ship Director, Vincent, organised a couple of different shows that were well presented and quite professional. We loved most of these musical, dancing, magic shows and comedian presenters besides the local hula dancers who put on a splendid array of music and dance for our enjoyment. We ate at the buffet as well as the fine dining restaurants every morning and night, afternoons too, if we returned early from our tours. Everything was well organised. Roberts, Hawaii did our airport to hotel & ship to airport transfers, they took us on our city tour of Honolulu, we only saw Robbie Loo, the Globus Rep for an hour at the hotel where he gave us a breakdown in what we would be doing for the rest of our trip.

We made our own sight-seeing tour arrangements at each island. Roberts Hawaii offered a great 5-tour combo plus another tour that I researched and tied up with them independently. In Honolulu we did the Island Circle tour and the Polynesian Cultural Centre tour by booking online directly with the centre. I was disappointed that Globus did not make any of these sight-seeing arrangements at all. In fact their role in this tour was very minimal, we may as well have booked independently, not through Globus. We booked through Globus because we enjoyed the Cosmos across America Adventure the year before. There daily tours were organised, the tour director was amazing and that 23 day tour stands out as being excellent. Global Journeys made the bookings we requested and provided all the information we requested in a timely manner. Thank you Jemma Rosen for a job well done!
Great Experience 2 Essential Britain & Ireland , WA, Australia, Mar 2017
We really enjoyed all of the trip. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. We went to places that were interesting and we had enough time to look around when we were there. The pace was not to rushed but we got to see a lot. I would recommend this trip
Best of Hawaii 1 Best of the Hawaiian Islands , NSW, Australia, Feb 2017
The tour was very fast paced, there was not one morning for a sleep in if you took the optional excursions. I feel it would be better to have an extra night in each place to relax more. Enjoyed Maui and Big Island best. Kona accommodation was outstanding and would go back to stay there again for sure.
Professionally run tour 2 , NSW, Australia, Nov 2016
Laura, our Tour Director, was very competent and professional. She ensured that all aspects of the tour went well coordinating with various tour providers in advance.
Glorious Global Journeys and Glorious Globus!! 2 , VIC, Australia, Nov 2016
Thank you Yvonne for arranging my booking and making last minute changes for me. Everything was handled efficiently - will definitely book with you again. I can't speak highly enough about the tour itself. It was absolutely incredible. Laura our tour director was the most amazing tour director ever and Oscar our bus driver was simply wonderful. read more It was such good value for money and I would recommend it to everyone. 10/10 for everything!
Our 'WOW' Holiday Through Europe 1 , NSW, Australia, Nov 2016
Our "Europe in Depth" tour was fantastic. There were 39 travellers on this tour which was made up of one New Zealander, five Americans and the rest Aussies. We all got along really well and had the most amazing time. Our tour guide,
Leura, an Austrian who is fluent in five languages, was a wealth of information, had everything organised like clockwork read more and to top it off is the most beautiful individual. The coach driver, Italian Oscar, is a very accomplished and safe driver who kept the coach immaculate and was always the gentleman. WiFi on the coach was an added bonus. I have now been on two Globus tours and if I travel in the future Globus will be the company I choose. (Ed: Review based on a similar but longer itinerary. Trip name and itinerary updated this season)
Enjoyable Tour through Vietnam & Cambodia 1 , NSW, Australia, Oct 2016
Our tour through Vietnam & Cambodia was very enjoyable. The Tour guide Phong was very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was very good, the local guides were informative & helpful in both countries. The coach drivers were excellent, especially Vietnam where the traffic is something else. All the people on tour were friendly read more the food was lovely. Yvonne from Global Journeys was very helpful. The highlight was overnight cruise on Ha Long Bay & visiting Angkor Wat.
Great trip to Southern Italy and Sicily with Globus 13 Highlights of Sicily & Southern Italy , VIC, Australia, Oct 2016
This was my second tour with Globus and was expecting a high standard which I had enjoyed on my first tour. Although this was not to the same standard it was very good. I think that what makes a tour are the people who are touring with you and to be honest this was what let this tour down so go into a tour with the notion that you are there to enjoy read more yourself and to see beautiful Italy - anything else is a bonus. In saying that Globus again were excellent in ensuring that the tour provided all the highlights and more. The tour director, coach driver and local tour guides were very friendly, experienced and had local knowledge of the areas so this made for excellent commentaries and fun times.

The accommodation on the tour was of varying standards and one issue which Globus do need to address is the room bookings for solo travellers who pay a singles supplement ( bringing them in line with couples ) but often get put in single rooms which are small and hidden in the back of the hotel. All breakfasts are provided and again are of varying quality but no traveler will go hungry. Some lunches and dinners are also provided and were very good and on this tour there was only the one occasion (in Sorrento) where the dinner provided was of poor quality. Globus provide certain day tours in their itinerary but also provide what is called 'optional extras"( they highlight what the optional extra's are in the tour over-view). i have always chosen to do them all so that i get to experience and see as much as I can in the time I have. The coach is comfortable and has free WiFi so you can keep in contact with loved ones and or post all your tour pictures as soon as they have been taken. The scenery and the small Italian villages and Italian country side are the real winners on this tour - it is breathtaking and certainly not to be missed.

I booked this tour and my flights to Rome and back with Global Journeys. This is the second time I have booked through Global Journeys and have been extremely happy with the service and attention to detail that they provide. Hannah answered all my questions expediently and was always attentive and professional. I had no issues with any travel arrangements and knew that if an issue did arise Hannah would be available to assist. I can honestly say that I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking at booking through Global Journeys to do so-they will not be disappointed.
Lives Up to its Name 13 Portugal in Depth , WA, Australia, Oct 2016
A comprehensive journey around Portugal that included all of the major and desired destinations. Highlights of the tour were Porto for all of its treasures, the Night Templar castle at Tomar, and the ghoulish Ossary chapel at St Francis's in Evora. This tour is packed with so called " must see attractions" and points of interest, and spaces them out read more very skilfully. If you're not beholden to Papists you'll probably find the visit to Fatima both appalling and indeed fascinating if you're interested in human nature. The various stalls selling wax candle models of almost every imaginable human body part and organ to be offered up in one of three ostentatious churches at Fatima is likely to fill you with disbelief, if not disgust, but as an example of MacReligion, upsized, you will find very few other exemplars to upstage it. Be aware that the ratio of wheelchairs to pedestrians is much higher in Fatima.

Hotels were largely comfortable and historically interesting apart from the Mondial in Lisbon and the very tired and smelly Tivoli at Carvoeiro, where I would have gladly given up the stunning ocean view for something more of the general Globus standard. The historic hotels at Viseu and Evora were a special delight. Think about arriving in Lisbon two to three days earlier, as I did. This will enable you to either walk or take a tuk-tuk up to Sao Jorge's castle, spend more time in the old town, visit some interesting museums like the Gulbenkian which has many treasures, and to use the hop off hop on bus to visit other attractions not covered by the short orientation provided by the tour. Overall, I found it a great tour that lets you dip your toes into Portugal and make many discoveries about this lovely little country of ten million people.
Covered so much of New England and sout east Canada without stress 2 Eastern US & Canada Discovery , VIC, Australia, Oct 2016
13 days was a perfect tour-length which enabled us to see so much more of this part of North America than we would have if we had tried to travel independently. There was a great mix of organised activities (local guides employed were fantastic) and free time to explore as well as included and independent dinners. The hotels were all in nice parts of read more the cities, mostly easy walking to city centre and/or places to visit during free time. The hotels were all very good quality, quiet and comfortable. Some did not have free wifi in the rooms (but available in the lobby) which was annoying. Tony, our motor coach driver, was very knowledgeable and travel was very comfortable, with appropriate distances between cities and 'comfort stops'. Alison, our tour guide, kept us all organised and pointed out interest points along the way.
Enjoyable Emerald Isle holiday 2 Introduction to Ireland , NSW, Australia, Oct 2016
Had an enjoyable trip. Global Journeys booking went smoothly and the trip itself was good. Ireland can be wet and rainy in October but we were lucky with the weather. The trip was very scenic and beautiful.
Portugal in depth 7 Portugal in Depth , NSW, Australia, Oct 2016
Another fabulous Globus tour. Tour guide Rita was simply wonderful. Sharing her passion for her home country, adding little extra side excursions to experience local life and treating us with regional delicacies all added to a memorable trip around Portugal. Her knowledge of the country's history and culture was expressed in humorous and entertaining read more tales. The tour was perfectly paced to enjoy all that Portugal had to offer, though extra time in Sintra on the optional excursion should be considered for future tours. Luckily I was able to return to Sintra after the tour and explore this beautiful town further.

Hotels were in great locations and some were absolute jewels, particularly in Evora and Tomar. Time spent on the Algarve was a relaxing way to end the tour in a stunning location. The hotel was in need of a renovation but we were warned that it was not the standard of all our previous accommodations and was chosen for it's beautiful clifftop setting. Meals on the tour were delicious and abundant! All tour members waddled out of our Porto restaurant...a feast to remember! In summary, I would happily recommend this tour as it showcased Portugal's diverse regions in a comfortable and relaxed pace. A big thank you to Hannah of Global Journeys for her timely communications. Always a pleasure to deal with a true professional. I look forward to booking my next adventure with her and the Global Journeys team.
Wonderful tour and cruise 1 Classical Greece with Iconic Aegean 4-night Cruise , SA, Australia, Oct 2016
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Greece, and especially having the cruise in addition to the land tour, which was well worth the extra time and cost, though you need to pay for the optional excursions to get the most out of the cruise. The coverage of sites was good on the land tour, and the places visited on the cruise were also well chosen. We generally read more didn't get enough free times in places such as the ruins in Delphi to explore them to our satisfaction, but other people on the tour would have found the time long enough; it's hard to please everybody. The boat docking times were generally early in the morning or late afternoon, which meant very early starts in some places (e.g. 7am) and not much daylight in others, especially at this time of year (October). But it was absolutely worthwhile going on the island excursions despite the starting times, and I don't think the cruise could have fit everything into 4 days without doing this. We appreciated having a free day in Athens after the cruise. Had good weather on both land and sea. Thanks to Yvonne and Global Journeys for doing the bookings and packaging our tour with another we took earlier on so we got an extra discount.
Great New England Tour   4 Classic Fall Foliage , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
We loved the tour. The hotels were all of a very high standard and included meals were perfect. The tour guide was an easy to get along with "people" person who new his job well. Disappointingly we did not see the fall colours as good as they can get but that was Mother Nature's fault, no one else to blame. As a bonus though, we got to see several read more of the heritage listed covered wooded bridges which we loved, scattered throughout New England. Our most disappointing day was when we visited 2 living museums, Sturbridge Village, too early in the morning with nothing much yet operating; and Mystic Seaport which just wanted interesting enough for us to bother. Options here would have been great.
Well-organised Tour with Caring Tour Director 7 The Best of Eastern Europe , QLD, Australia, Sep 2016
This was the second time that we booked a European tour through Hannah Campbell at Global Journeys and she was, once again, informative and precise regarding our booking. We thoroughly enjoyed our Best Of Eastern Europe tour conducted by Globus. From the very start, it was clear that this was very well-organised with a competent, highly experienced read more tour director. Brane was always such a caring person who had everyone's best interests genuinely at heart. Our bus driver, Martin, was also excellent. There were 39 people on our tour - 6 Australians, 4 Canadians, 2 New Zealanders, 2 Puerto Rucans and 25 Americans. Everyone got on very well! There were many meals included and these were always ample and very tasty.

The hotels we stayed in were top-class and in great locations to get around when we had free time. The pace was constant but there was breathing space too to ensure that we all could manage the consistently early starts and the Busy days, especially when travelling between cities. The optional tours were well worth doing although many of the tour highlights were included in the basic price. For us, the highlights were the Polish Polka Party, the Danube Cruise at Night in Budapest and the Prague by Night Walking Tour. The local guides were outstanding in the various cities and towns. Overall, we would highly recommend this tour for a worry-free overseas trip involving various languages, currency and customs. Although staying in one place to fully appreciate it was not part of this tour, it was possible to decided which cities appealed for a possible return visit in the future.
Great Tour   5 Parks & Canyons Spectacular with Denver , NSW, Australia, Sep 2016
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour as it delivered what it promised in accommodations, sights seen and efficiency of guide and coach. We loved the mix of history and nature that the tour gave us. It was quite well paced though of course there were times we would have liked to have more time in some places.
