We had a great tour through the Canadian Rockies 6 Spirit of the Rockies with Rocky Mountaineer , QLD, Australia, Jun 2017
We wanted to see the Canadian Rockies and we selected the 12 day Rocky Mountain tour with Globus as it met our wish list of places to visit. This was our very first ever guided tour, we are normally independent travellers. We decided to go with Globus after reviewing a few other companies and chose to use Global Journeys as they offered a good price, read more lower than the Globus catalogue. Global Journeys were extremely easy to deal with and only a phone call away if we had a query. We also chose the tour that provided the majority of our accommodation in Fairmont hotels, these were mostly beautiful, well located hotels.

Our tour was made all the more special by the care and dedication of our guide Mark Love, he was absolutely fabulous. Mark went above and beyond in ensuring every person on the tour, all 37 of us was well cared for. His attention to detail with daily planning was fabulous. We just don't know how he managed to get the snow to fall at exactly the time we visited Medicine Lake. At the lake he shoveled snow to make a path so our shoes wouldn't get too wet. Our coach driver was also a great asset to the tour providing comic relief as well as very safe driving. It also should be said our coach was brand new! Thanks GJ for your attention to detail we certainly had a fabulous journey, one we will remember for a long time.
Eastern USA & Canada 2 Eastern US & Canada Discovery , QLD, Australia, May 2017
What a tour, the places you go are fantastic, however some place you need more time, but it gives you a idea where to go when you go back by your self and not on a tour. The coach crappy seats and some days you done a lot of kilometres. Booking with Global Journeys (Yvonne) made it easy, they sure you had nothing to worry about in booking with them. read more Global Journeys discount is the best in Australia.
Lovely Italian Tour 5 Italian Vista , WA, Australia, May 2017
As this was our first ever guided tour we were uncertain what to expect. There was a lot to commend plus some to suggest a change to. The whole trip was very worth while but my wife & I found the constant church visits very trying. Neither of us are religious and although we found the various murals, fresco's and mosaics wonderful, we found that the read more religious descriptions far too detailed. After about 5-6 church visits we cried enough and opted out. on occasions we were joined by other clients who also felt that they had enough too. After all just how many murals and fresco's etc do we need to see? (One of our party was a Hindu so you can imagine how interested she was)

Overall we are glad we went. Although we had visited Italy on day trips from both Austria and Switzerland this was the first time we had actually stayed in the country. This trip enabled us to see so much of the towns and cities we visited we could not have done it alone. The quality of both the tour director and the various guides was fantastic. One thing this tour has confirmed for us is that we much prefer independent travel.
A fantastic way to see the Rocky Mountains 6 Majestic Rockies with Rocky Mountaineer , NSW, Australia, May 2017
We had an fantastic trip through the Rockies, led by a most experienced, knowledgeable and entertaining Tour Director, Tarek. Hotels were good and scenery was spectacular. Highlights included Fairmont Chateau (Whistler), Flying Fox Adventure (Whistler), Maligne Lake Cruise to Spirit Island, Maligne Canyon, Columbia Icefields/Athabusca Glacier, Banff read more National Park/Icefields Parkway, and Lake Louise). The group we traveled with were great fun, and we exchanged many laughs.
Fantastic trip 7 Grand Western Canada Vacation , New Zealand, May 2017
This was an outstanding trip, the hotels were all excellent and in great locations. The courier Tarek, was outstanding, an extremely knowledgeable and helpful person. It was a very well run trip with a well thought out itinerary and I would love to travel Globus again. The trip gave us time to explore by ourselves and the excursions were all excellent, read more especially the Peak to Peak in Whistler. The included dinners and breakfasts were all of a high standard. The included excursions were also wonderful and our favourite was the breakfast at the top of Sulphur Mountain in Banff.
Guided tour of the Greek Islands 7 Greek Island Hopper , NSW, Australia, May 2017
Overall, the trip was excellent. My husband and I had a great time. We found Greeks to be very friendly and kind. Food was superb. Our tour guide was very good. She would advice us as to what to expect especially as we had flying and ferry ride included so everything went alright. Local guides were really knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
A good trip through through stunning places 1 Northern California's Finest , NSW, Australia, May 2017
We wanted to see Yosemite and some sequoia groves. The tour covered these plus Lake Tahoe and the coast around Monterey. Overall a good tour but it really needs an extra day. There were no very early mornings but there were some late arrivals, eg Lake Tahoe after 7.00 pm. At times it felt rushed but the destinations were excellent. Accommodation was read more overall good but some locations were a little below par. Globus should review these. The coach was very good but only had one door which made loading and unloading tedious. Also there were no seat back pockets for our bits and pieces while on the road. This is not acceptable for long tours. The driver was excellent.
Japan - What a delightful experience 6 , New Zealand, May 2017
May was the right time to travel - up to 30 degrees some days in the Tokyo area but only two wet days throughout the tour. June starts the wet season. Good group size of 33; buses could have larger seats and a few more amenities e.g. seat trays etc. No problem with frequent stops during the bus rides for snacks and toilets. Guide Yuki was excellent read more in all respects, and Mr Asano very good driver. Of the four hotels two were excellent and 2 very good; all with hassle-free check-in and check-out procedures.

The Japanese gardens are well worth the visit as are the other included attractions. Enough shrines and pagodas! Really liked the inclusions such as Tea ceremony, calligraphy and cooking class. Sake tasting was a disappointment as most of the group thought we would see he manufacturing process - we just stood in a courtyard and tasted two different classes of sake. Overall a good tour of the right length.
A diverse tour featuring exciting cities and amazing scenery 3 Majestic Montana & Yellowstone , NSW, Australia, May 2017
A well paced tour that highlights the west coasts major cities and attractions as well as it's natural beauty as in the impressive Grand Canyon and the scenic Yosemite National Park. This tour provided a good balance in travel, attractions and free time. We enjoyed the bright lights of Las Vegas and the many attractions of San Francisco. Globus, once read more again for us, provided a fun, informative, professional and hassle free holiday.
Fast Paced and got to see alot 1 , SA, Australia, May 2017
Second tour with Globus. As per the first tour, this one went very smoothly with no issues. This tour was pretty fast paced but we got to see a lot. Good tour director and driver. The coach was excellent, clean and very roomy.
Italy and Sicily were absolutely old world and beautiful. So much history. Food was mostly very good and accommodation was read more a mix of good and excellent. Definitely a must do tour for anyone seriously wanting to see a lot of Italy in a short time.
Northern Capitals 6 Northern Capitals , SA, Australia, May 2017
Tour was very good, accommodation exceeded expectations and the guide was excellent. I was particularly impressed with the comfort of the coach and also the pace of the tour. Having at least two nights in each destination was what convinced me to do this trip as a tour rather than organise it myself.

My only criticisms were that the price of the read more optional excursions were significantly over priced. I was able to do the activities easily by myself and often for about a third of the price. Also I didn't like the pressuring of customers to make a tip at the end of the journey. I'm sure this is quite commonplace for American travelers and part of their custom, however, many other countries it is not and this should be respected more.
Rocky Mountineer overrated. 4 Spirit of the Rockies with Rocky Mountaineer and Alaska Cruise , NSW, Australia, May 2017
Rocky Mountaineer overrated. Food OK, nothing special, in retrospect we would have been happy with a road trip with same scenery. Of course that is a personal thought. Hotels excellent. Pace good. Included meals nothing special. Guide and driver superb. Coach always clean. Would travel with Globus family again, but feel Cosmos better value. Happy with read more Global Journeys as always.
Great trip in Switzerland   1 Spectacular Switzerland , WA, Australia, May 2017
Switzerland was a great trip. The tour director, a Erik, and driver Franko were wonderful to all the guests. They were polite and friendly. All the hotels were not great especially when compared with this in Asia and Turkey. Tour guides used during the tour were very knowledgeable.

The Scandinavian tour was also very good and I recommend it to read more future travellers. A suggestion is that a night and day us spent in Gothenburg as it is so beautiful but we did not have an opportunity to see the city. Again the tour director, Chris, and driver pieto, were good, friendly, courteous and helpful.
Scotland! 10 Scottish Highlands & Islands , NSW, Australia, May 2017
Scotland should be on everyone's bucket list! Scenery was outstanding & we were very lucky with the weather with only a few days of rain. We travelled in May.
Terrific Trip 5 Northern Italy's Highlights & Cinque Terre , SA, Australia, May 2017
First time travelling with Globus. Everything was organised well and spot on. The Tour Director, Giuseppe, was very knowledgeable and patient and kept a close eye on all of us in the tour group. He was quick to notice if one of us was missing and went looking. The coach was immaculate. The driver, Vito, was excellent and very skilled and he kept the read more coach in tip-top condition. The entire trip went very smoothly and is good value for money. Food was a culinary delight. Definitely a trip to remember.
Fantastic trip! 5 Parks & Canyons Spectacular with Denver , VIC, Australia, May 2017
The tour director, Andrew and our driver Clay are both awesome. They would go out of their way to make our trip memorable. We were stranded in Yellowstone due to snow but the situation was handled very well by the staff and Globus. We were supposed to miss out on seeing Old Faithful as a result but Globus made a decision to drive us back again from read more Jackson Hole to Yellowstone which we are very grateful! The helicopter flight in Grand Canyon is a must; no pictures can describe the beauty of this place! Will definitely travel with Globus again. Thank you!
Wonderful trip around Britain and Scotland taking in all the attractions. 9 Essential Britain , NSW, Australia, May 2017
Very well organised holiday. The accommodation was excellent. Bill the tour guide was very knowledgeable and very easy to get along with. Dai our coach driver was equally good, and I hope his health is improving. I have travelled on a number of Globus tours because they are well organised and worry free, and I was not disappointed this time. I will read more definitely be booking another holiday with Globus in the near future.
Canada & Alaska 3 Spirit of the Rockies with Rocky Mountaineer and Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, May 2017
So much is said about the beauty of Canada and Alaska. Well, its true. The Canadian Rockies are fantastic, and seeing them by train and then coach was spectacular. Add to that a very good tour guide and coach driver along with the pleasant and experienced rocky mountaineer staff you have a great holiday. Our tour group was also fantastic, and we read more got along really well for a group of 20+.
Great Holiday 10 Spirit of the Rockies with Rocky Mountaineer and Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, May 2017
Wow what a great trip! Having not been on a guided tour before I found the Globus staff to be helpful and friendly. As we traveled with another couple i requested we be placed together. Not only was our accommodation close to each other through each step but also our Rocky Mountaineer seats were side by side which made this spectacular excursion wonderful. read more Spectacular train journey and gold leaf was excellent. Staff were beyond excellent. Food superb! Alcohol generous!

Our bus tour guide Darcy was humble, knowledgeable and helpful, along with our bus driver Gunther we couldn't have asked for more fun bus journey. Spotting heaps of wildlife along the way it was never any trouble to stop for enough time so “everyone” could get a pic. All overnight accommodation was outstanding and could not have asked for better and again food was outstanding . Our only disappointment was there was never enough time at each overnight stop to explore the area.

Cruising on the Volendam was all we thought and more, sensational! Being our first cruise we loved the relaxed feel of the ship and I think it should be said that the gala nights on this ship in particular is nothing special. It's nice that everyone is dressed up but tuxedo and cocktail dress are not needed. The friendliness of the staff and the food, we could not fault. Awesome scenery not to be missed, we've ticked our bucket list.
14 days The Best of Eastern Europe   6 The Best of Eastern Europe , VIC, Australia, May 2017
My husband and I enjoyed thoroughly the whole trip of the 14 days Eastern Europe in April 2017. Though I cannot say it is perfect but it had met most of our expectations.

The tourist consultant, Dino, was exceptionally experienced, knowledgeable, helpful and responsible. The coach driver was also very polite and helpful. All the local tourist read more guides were also experienced and well presented. Out of the 43 tourists, I would say eighty percentage came from America, only 4 from Melbourne and two from New Zealand. We got along very well during our whole trip. The coach was very good except the wifi was sometimes very weak or disconnected. My husband and I joined in most of the excursions. Though they were not very cheap they were worth joining especially the concentration camp excursion. Most of the buffet breakfasts and the included dinners were of good standard. All the accommodations were centrally located so very convenient to find nice restatements, department stores and train stations.

I found your company , Global Journeys, trustworthy and well organised, and most importantly you offer good discounts to all tours and flights. I will definitely recommend your company to my friends.
