What we experienced was amazing! 1 The Best of Europe with London , QLD, Australia, Jun 2015
Tour was very well controlled & organised by our tour Director Attila. It was on the the go as indicated but what we experienced was amazing. We saw some great places & enjoyed local hospitality. Well done Cosmos! A special thanks to our Tour Director Attila with our Coach Driver Carlo. Both were fantastic.
The best yet thanks to Cosmos 2 Grand Tour of France , WA, Australia, Jun 2015
A truly fantastic tour, our second with Cosmos & certainly not our last. The knowledge of our tour guide was first rate, a credit to Cosmos. I have been on quite a few overseas holidays & tours....this was the best yet thanks to Cosmos.
Generally met our expectations 1 , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
Cosmos is a professional and good operator. This is our 2nd Tour. We are satisfied with the tour and generally met our expectations. Low mark for optional excursions but on this tour I don't think there could have been many possible. Scandinavia is more about the scenic beauty, rather than history and cultural experiences.
Fast paced trip but took us where we wanted to go 3 England, Scotland & Wales , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
The service we received from Global Journeys was excellent. We received our travel documents well in advance of our departure and nothing went wrong. We will book a trip with them again. Cosmos was exactly what we wanted and needed. The trip though fast paced took us to where we wanted to go in the time we had available. The quality of the hotels were read more better than expected and our tour director Peter was excellent. He taught us all so much about the history of the UK which really added to the experience. We plan to do another Cosmos trip in the next couple of years.
Overall it was value for money 1 Eastern US & Canada Grand Vacation , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
We loved the trip overall. Just some of the optional extras were not that good, as the food and service was sometimes bad and very tight fit at the tables on occasions. We will be booking again, as overall it was value for money.
Fantastic experience right from day one 4 Europe's Highlights , WA, Australia, Jun 2015
What a fantastic experience right from day one when we first contacted Global Journeys. Everything went according to plan. The tour was fast paced, however, this was expected and we were not surprised. The only suggestion we would make is to allow some extra free time towards the middle of the tour, e.g a day of free time in Switzerland to enjoy the read more beautiful scenery, this would incur an additional cost, however, I am sure most people will accept the cost. The tour operator and local guides knowledge made all the difference and was such a 'value add' we realised the value after the tour ended when we did a city tour of Paris by ourselves, we were not aware of some of the historic details of some of the sites. The seat rotation in the bus was a good idea and a fair system, similar consideration must be given to hotel rooms, it appeared that some people always had the higher floors, this does make a big difference as most overnight stop overs are at scenic locations. Well done to all involved, we are already planning our next holiday and will be definitely contacting Global Journeys less than a year from now.
Wonderful holiday and will recommend Cosmos to others 1 Europe's Highlights with London , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
We thoroughly enjoyed our Tour around Europe with Cosmos. Our Tour guide Davor was exceptional and amazing at catering to our needs and provided a fabulous guide experience, our bus driver Vincenzo was awesome at getting us through our journey! We had a wonderful holiday and will recommend Cosmos to others, and definitely will use this company again in the future :)
Thoroughly enjoyed our journey through Spain 1 , WA, Australia, Jun 2015
We both thoroughly enjoyed our journey through Spain. The tour Director was excellent which can make or break an organised holiday, he made sure everyone was looked after and any problems sorted quickly and without fuss. He had a good knowledge of the history and provided good advice. (Ed. This trip has changed this season, so this review refers to read more a slightly different itinerary.)
All aspects of the trip were enjoyable 1 , SA, Australia, Jun 2015
My journey was for me a wonderful time. As I was travelling alone it was great to meet people from all over the world and I enjoyed their company very much. The tour guide, Anna, was very good and made my holiday even better than I could have anticipated. All aspects of the trip were enjoyable and I'll keep wonderful memories of my time in the UK. (Ed. read more This trip changed slightly in 2019, so this review is based on the previous longer itinerary)
Right from the word go, it all went well 4 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
Thank you for arranging our trip, it was lovely. Right from the word go it all went well. The accommodation was great, comfy beds, and quite large clean rooms. Vancouver was a lovely city with flowering trees and magnificent flowering hanging baskets everywhere. Plenty to see and do.
The Rocky Mountaineer was great, good seats, great viewing read more and great meals. Our bus guide was very informative with a good sense of humour. The scenery was magnificent throughout, hard to surpass. The towns we stayed were pretty with lots to see and do. Our Alaskan cruise was also lovely with comfortable cabin (great we had the balcony), meals were top class and no rush or hurrying, it was totally relaxing. The excursions were great, though would recommend the whale tour (which we didn't take) they saw about 16 whales. All up it was a very relaxing tour, we would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting beautiful scenery and a relaxing time. Thanks again.
A must do for everybody 5 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
A must do for everybody, as we've travelled quite a bit over the last 25 years. Luckily for us we had perfect weather for June (16c to 25c on average, but Kamloops & Vancouver usually warm), although a bit warmer than expected in most places (most of the time OK in shorts/jeans & shirts). Our tour guide Vedrana and driver Kong were both exceptional. read more We also had a great bunch of people in the tour group, ranging ages from 40 thru 75. The scenery is spectacular (like you see on the TV ads, or even better in real life), with far too many highlights to name. The Rocky Mountaineer was a fantastic 2 days (Silver Leaf was excellent). Some obvious must do, is Whistler Peak-to-Peak Gondola, socialise with your tour group, as there is great food and good times awaiting. Just be mindful that there are early morning starts (on the road by 7/7:15am), and a couple of times where your luggage goes out the night before, so have a backpack handy.

Ideally ensure you're well rested prior to the trip, and doing the Alaska Inside Passage at the end also allows you to catch up on rest. General feedback that they are addressing is 2 of the hotels are not up to scratch, and a couple of them had diy laundry facilities as did the Ship - handy to know. The Ships typically being USA, the food is orientated towards that demographic, typically salty & very sweet, but you can steer clear of those with other options. Ensure you have your Visas all done for both Canada & USA - allow a lot of extra time before you book/leave if you're not on the ESTA waiver! We would be more than happy to do a similar trip again in a couple of years, maybe in Autumn would be great (and ride a Harley on the Icelands Parkway). Get out and enjoy what the world has on offer!
Wonderful tour that we thoroughly enjoyed 6 The Lone Star State to the French Quarter , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
This tour exceeded all of our expectations. This is the third USA Cosmos tour we have done in the past 3 years and while the first two were excellent the Texas Tour was outstanding. The tour leader, Phillip Walker, a proud Texan, was simply the best and his willingness to go the extra yards to ensure everyone on the tour got the most from it was amazing. read more The tour, with Philip's insights gave us a wonderful appreciation of all things Texan and it certainly is a prosperous and go ahead state. The extra things that Philip took us on like the San Antonio monument, the stop over at The Texas Cowboys stadium and the Luckenbach country music jam session were all wonderful, and appreciated, inclusions.

Phillip was ably supported by an outstanding driver in Jonathan who not only drove but also provided information on his native town New Orleans. Americans are proud of their country, but Texans are even more prouder of their state and this pride is spontaneous and infectious. The tour highlights for us were the Book Depositry in Dallas (and all of the details of the President Kennedy assassination) , the Alamo in San Antonio, the river in San Antonio and the City of New Orleans, with its diverse history and culinary delights. In all a wonderful tour that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Fantastic tour experience 4 Canadian Train Odyssey with Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, Jun 2015
I highly recommend this trip. Such a fantastic holiday. The Rockies are magical with stunning views. Canada and Alaska has spectacular scenery. I love the group enthusiasm amongst newly made friends. Fantastic tour experience overall.
Highly recommend this trip to anyone 1 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
I had a very good trip and would highly recommend this to anyone. I loved the places and made new friends on this tour. The tour packed in a lot in the 23 days and sometimes I wished that there was more time in a number of cities, however as it covered so many countries in a short time this is to be expected. My other issue is that the coach had a toilet read more but we were not allowed to use it unless it was an emergency.
Did not in our view represent good value for money 8 Spain, Portugal & Morocco , NSW, Australia, May 2015
Reason for choosing this was to see Morocco and to that extent our aims were satisfied. Hotels were generally pretty average but with one exception were in poor locations. There was little opportunity to explore city centres. Local guides were mostly poor. The exception was our Berber guide in Marrakesh who was brilliant. Meals provided were pretty read more average - same boring old buffet most nights. Most people I think would have liked more time to explore in Fes, Marrakesh, Granada and Lisbon. To say we would visit Costa del Sol was plain misleading. The back blocks of Malaga don't have quite the same ambiance! Probably the tour covered too much in too little time. We travel a lot usually independently but we have taken coach tours for 5 or 6 days. This one was probably too long for us but regardless of that, compared to others we have taken, it did not in our view represent good value for money. I doubt that Cosmos will see us again. Thanks Michelle for your excellent service.
Prepare to be stimulated! 1 Focus on Scandinavia , QLD, Australia, May 2015
Prepare to be stimulated! Eye opening. Tour director was nice to everybody and but did talk for hours. She said more than enough to stimulate our interest and read too much data from her crib sheet. She was a nice person. Hotels were nice and central and breakfasts were good but first hotel and last hotel were a long way from the city. The first was read more close to the international airport but the second was way out at the domestic airport.
Very satisfied with the trip 1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, May 2015
Name tags would have been good just to make meeting and remembering names a bit easier. Overall Penny and I were very satisfied with the trip. Going into Goldleaf on the Rocky Mountaineer made all the difference and the outside cabin on the Alaskan cruise was another good choice. Elaine our tour guide was very good, a wealth of knowledge with a rather read more large task of looking after a huge diversification of people. A bit more leg room on the coach would have been nice but overall it was ok.
Would have loved to have spent longer in each place 1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , ACT, Australia, May 2015
My lower comment for tour pace is I would have loved to have spent longer in each place. I realise that would make it much more expensive. For example I didn't see Banff when it wasn't raining.
Really good value for money and well paced 1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, May 2015
This tour is really good value for money. It includes all the iconic locations and activities. It is well paced with excellent accommodation and tour directors.
Really enjoyed the tour 1 Greece & Aegean Islands Cruise , WA, Australia, May 2015
Really enjoyed the tour. Fast paced with only one night at each stop on the coach tour as so much to see. The hotel in Athens was excellent with good service and helpful staff. The best hotel on the tour was in Olympia, whilst the hotel in Kalambaka was old and run down. The coach was not the best as it had no pull down tables or back of the seat storage. read more Also the storage space above was very limited and most people had to keep bags under their feet. Happy with the service from Global Journeys, our tickets arrived in plenty of time and queries were answered promptly. I would book through them again for our next trip.
