The trip was very good 2 The Best of Europe , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
The trip was very good. The tour guide Trundi and driver John Phillippe were very helpful and keep to the time schedule so we always arrived on time as much as possible. Thanks Georgie for you help in arranging this. It all went very smoothly.
Too much emphasis on selling paid excursions 3 The Canadian Rockies with Alaska Cruise , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
Most of the accommodation was great but hotel at Vancouver and Jasper were ordinary. The tour guide was knowledgeable but spent more time on selling paid excursions. We have travelled with Cosmos earlier but this time there was too much emphasis on selling paid excursions. Our experience with Global journeys was great! Emily was very helpful right from read more providing the quote. Your website is perhaps one of the best with lots of information a traveller needs. Great work! (Ed. Thanks Avtar, and it's official now - Global Journeys have just won 'Best Online Travel Agency' in Australia this weekend at the NTIA Awards!)
Great value for money 1 Eastern US & Canada Grand Vacation , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
Great tour. Covered lots of places. Lots of free time. Great value for money. The only down side was that a number of the hotels were located out of town.
Tour far exceeded our expectations 1 , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
Negatives. Tour of Seville should be included rather than optional. The Porta Fira hotel in Barcelona was too far out from the city of Barcelona. (The location was dead!) Good maps of the cities were not always provided by the hotels. Positives. The tour far exceeded our expectations. The scenery, historic buildings, the food, the vitality of the Spanish read more people were wonderful. The whole experience was enhanced by the outstanding work of our tour leader JOHN SHAW. He was exceptional in looking after the needs of each person on the tour and his commentaries were entertaining, informative and gave us a real insight into both the history and contemporary lifestyle of the Spanish people. (Ed. This trip has changed this season, so this review refers to a slightly different itinerary.)
Tour guide was brilliant and our driver superb 1 Focus on Scandinavia , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
Our tour guide was brilliant and our driver superb, We would never have seen so much without them. Baggage service was awesome and the accommodation as good as could be expected for the price.
Greece was beautiful, tour was well paced 1 The Best of Greece , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
Greece was a beautiful country to visit, the tour was well paced, global journeys made the whole booking process seamless and competitively priced, highly recommended. I travelled as a single female and had a holiday I could not have fully appreciated if I travelled independently.
Quite amazed at the pace, good value for money 2 Seven Countries, Venice & Paris , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
It was my first time to join a tour and was quite amazed at the pace. Although tiring, I really enjoyed it. There were 40 of us; it was a mixed group (probably youngest was 12 and oldest was 60 plus). The tour members were very cordial/friendly to one another and were punctual so we were on time for the tour. Alyssa was an excellent tour director and read more so was the coach driver. The only downside was the Venice gondola excursion. I thought there would only be two on a gondola as shown in brochures and you have a leisurely ride on the river with a serenade. There were six people (too crowded) and too many boats that it took away the 'romance' aspect of the excursion; too commercialised. Overall it was good value for money.
Value for money and fun holiday! 3 Seven Countries, Venice & Paris , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
This was our first land tour and we found it to be good value for money! We loved the Rhine river cruise and the shopping time allotted to us in Lucerne. Our tourmates were friendly and fun to be with, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept us on schedule. We felt like we were a big family comprising of various nationalities.

The dinner read more in Paris was one of the highlights (being serenaded while enjoying our delicious cuisine)...The glass blowing was fantastic! I was able to buy some precious jewelries from that store. Although tiring, it was a wonderful and memorable experience that we will deeply treasure.
A great way to see the British Isles! 3 The British Isles in Depth , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
Fantastic tour! Great tour director and driver. Accommodation and all included meals were great. Some places where a little bit out of town which was sometimes annoying but not a huge problem. Overall a fabulous tour and a great way to see the British Isles!
I would certainly choose to travel with Cosmos again 1 The British Isles in Depth , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and experience. I would certainly choose to travel with Cosmos again. I travelled solo but found other solo travellers on the tour and was able to gel well with all the others on tour.
Excellent tour, appalling bus 11 The British Isles in Depth , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
This otherwise excellent tour was very badly let down by the pre and post tour accommodation of the Kensington Close hotel and by the absolutely appalling bus that was provided for the trip. The bus we were given for this 3 week tour covering England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Wales was little more than a local tour bus with read more absolutely none of the usual inclusions of a proper touring bus. The seats were narrow and very uncomfortable; there was no leg room between seats; the aisle was extremely narrow which meant that it was difficult for anyone of slightly larger build to traverse without bumping the seated passengers; there was no space overhead for even the smallest of bags; the air conditioning could not be properly controlled and the back door could not be opened on most occasions because it opened outward on to the traffic side of the bus!

As there were 42 people on this particular trip the loading and unloading via the front door only made everything very slow, plus the air conditioning either froze or overheated everyone who sat at the rear of the bus (and we all took our turns here due to seat rotation). Riding in the rear of the bus was particularly uncomfortable not only due to the erratic air conditioning but also to the very poor road adherence of the rear of the bus it bumped and slid around quite uncomfortably especially on some of the narrow and rough country roads. Whenever our bus was pulled up beside another touring bus at a viewing site it was very noticeable how small and inferior the bus was to the others. Our previous Cosmos trip in Europe had a superior bus and as several of the people on this coach tour had also travelled through Europe on a similar trip we particularly noticed and commented on this inferiority and discomfort.

Despite these two negative areas, the actual tour itself was fabulous! The Tour Guide Kevin was a fountain of historical knowledge and a great personality who made the trip special! He ensured that we were all well informed of sites etc. prior to our stopovers to avoid wasting precious time. He really added an extra element to the enjoyment by expanding on the history that most of us had only minor knowledge of prior to the trip - in fact he made everything come to life!

The early morning starts that so many people complain about in these reviews are in our opinion great, as they get you to places before the majority of the sightseers and thus give you the maximum time and space to look around. Alistair our driver did a wonderful job of controlling a very poor bus, especially along the one car wide laneways we travelled throughout the Scottish Highlands. The accommodation in all of the country hotels was well above our expectations; some was even of a surprising 4+ star rating and most welcome! There was always ample hot water; comfortable beds and plenty of heating (we needed it in the very cold Scottish Summer!) and the provided food was of good quality and plentiful. The only hotel that lets this entire trip down is the Kensington Close hotel which despite its excellent location near Kensington High Street station is a definitely inferior 2.5 stars at best!

Perhaps Cosmos might well heed the negative feedback it gets about this hotel and seek to change this accommodation in the future, thereby ensuring a better rating for this trip? We would definitely have rated this trip higher if it hadn't been for the Kensington Close and that appalling bus! Thank you Emily of Global Journeys for all your excellent work in organising this trip, we will certainly recommend and use Global Journeys for our future travel.
Very well organized and very professional 1 Scenic Slovenia & Croatia , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
I loved this tour as I have always wanted to go to The Balkins, the tour pace was fast but the tour Director, Occie was very well organized and very professional making the pace of tour easy and exciting. Slovenia is the jewel in the crown and I spent an extra 5 days there and really enjoyed this very safe country. Croatia is quiet commercial and caters read more for the tourist in contract to Bosnia which is a country still struggling with the aftermath of war. The cross section of people on tour was great as I am a single mature traveller, the age groups also blended well.
We had a ball! 2 Italy's Best , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
We had a ball during the trip, visiting most beautiful parts of Italy. Booking with Global Journeys is easy & well managed by account manager.
Very enjoyable trip 2 Italy's Best , NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
Very enjoyable trip. Accommodation was clean & comfortable with free wifi in each hotel and on the coach. Giuseppe was very knowledgeable and passionate about his country and looked after our every need.
An action packed tour 1 , QLD, Australia, Jun 2015
This was an action packed tour. I found the tour to have an excellent balance of touring sightseeing and the flexibility to take advantage of selecting optional excursions or having time to do your own thing. The accommodation was excellent - each of the operators were well organised when we arrived at each location. With all luggage delivered to our read more rooms within a reasonable time of arrival. Great value for the money spent. (Ed. This trip changed slightly in 2019, so this review is based on the previous longer itinerary)
A wonderful experience at an affordable rate 1 Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise , QLD, Australia, Jun 2015
The holiday was very exciting and well run. We would totally recommend it and nearly all the accommodation was extremely good and of a very high standard. Our tour director and tour guides were very competent and knowledgeable and our driver was very careful and calm. The Volendam was comfortable and the food was good .We really feel that this holiday read more offered a wonderful experience at an affordable rate.
Fast paced but there was so much to see and do 1 , WA, Australia, Jun 2015
The tour was very fast paced with early starts, but there was so much to see and do so this was necessary. Highlights were Neuschwanstein, the Rhine River cruise, and Rothenberg, but everywhere we stopped was lovely. The hotels and coach all had wifi. Some hotels were better than others, but we didn't spend much time in them. It was a good way to sample read more Germany and pick out places for longer visits in the future.
Fabulous Cosmos experience 1 The Canadian Rockies , QLD, Australia, Jun 2015
The tour was outstanding, above and beyond what we expected. The hotels were all in great central locations and the standard of the rooms was first class. All the rooms had everything that we wanted and some had more than we required, accommodations excellent. Our tour director, Mel Brand, was fabulous, he made our holiday for us, very knowledgeable read more and approachable and very obliging, he was so organised, we never had to wait for the keys to our room, always made himself available for help of any kind. Our driver, Alex, again so obliging, our luggage would arrive very soon after our arrival, the coach was always immaculate, I spotted him cleaning the coach after our arrival in a town. He was always on the lookout for wildlife for us to see. This was our first Cosmos tour and it won't be our last, we will do another tour with them, this was a fabulous experience made even better by our tour director, thank you Mel.
We have taken away some wonderful memories 1 Trans-American Adventure , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
Our tour director Scott Dworkin and driver John were both very professional, courteous and informative. They both made our holiday with Cosmos fabulous. We really enjoyed the tour. Could of spent some extra days at some places but that would of made the tour quite long. Coach was always clean and accommodation was always clean with comfy bed and hot read more showers. We have taken away some wonderful memories and made some life long friends. Highly recommend this tour.
Excellent value for money 2 Sunny Shores of Southern Florida , VIC, Australia, Jun 2015
Our Tour Director Nancy was a Florida resident and gave us lots of good information about each place we visited. Kennedy Space Centre was a highlight and is included in the trip. Don't miss the new space shuttle exhibit! Fort Lauderdale with its canals was a highlight and the hotel we stayed in was excellent (even though we did get there late due to read more the coach getting a flat tire). Key West was excellent. The snorkelling trip and sunset cruise were optional extras well worth doing. The ride on an airboat through the everglades was OK but out in open country - not like we had imagined going through swamps with lots of trees. The visit to Edison's house and museum at Fort Myers was another highlight. The Quality Hotel we stayed in at Clearwater Beach was not up to standard in our opinion. Overall, this trip gives you a good appreciation of what Florida has to offer and was excellent value for money.
