An excellent value way to experience the beautiful Canadian Rockies. Our experience was wonderful. Cosmos were faultless, both our tour guide & driver, made our experience unforgettable. Will definitely book Cosmos again for value & expertise. Happy Aussies!
We had a wonderful time. Our Tour guide, Doris, was wonderful, helpful, informative & made sure we never got bored on the coach. The bus Driver, Wayne was a fantastic, excellent Driver. Looking forwards to planning our next trip.
Worry free holiday & very enjoyable. 1Trans-American AdventureLesley England, QLD, Australia, Aug 2015
Trip highlight was the Grand Canyon. absolutely marvellous. One of the best things about this trip was our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. Would recommend this trip to friends as as ages were catered for.
Great trip and very impressed with the amount of information received (on the trip) and how much I now understand life in the UK. The trip was a great mix of sightseeing - cities and history, along with detailed rural touring to some quite remote places. While the itinerary is a long coach trip (20+ days) it is well worthwhile and I would recommend read more it as a great life experience.
This was a very good trip made better by a great tour leader and driver (Mike & Mark). The highlight was the cruise on Prince William Sound, including lunch, where we saw many animals and the awesome Columbia Glacier. I felt that accommodation quality was lacking in a couple of places notably Dawson City and Denali and that continental breakfast daily should be included.
The transfer from JFK Airport to the hotel in NY resulted in a wait of almost an hour. A taxi would not have been much more expensive for two of us (as the taxi fare is a fixed price) and would have been quicker and more convenient, particularly after such a long flight from Australia. We would not recommend that anyone going on this tour pay for read more this tardy transfer. One participant on our tour was in a wheelchair and but for the efforts of the tour guide, the willing cooperation of the wheelchair participant and the fact it was a small group, this could have, but did not, adversely impact on other members. As this was "an on the go tour" it was surprising that it was sold to someone who could not fully participate. All credit should be given to Jim Ryan, our ever helpful guide, who made it work for everyone on board.
Overall a great trip. Was amazed though that we found the coach travel tiring and were glad of 2 nights stops where we could 'catch our breath' ready to go again. Was very pleased with the accommodation for most of the way, except for Vienna which was away from the city centre and on a public holiday as well, nothing was open, so hard to find a place read more to eat. Even restaurants were closed. Hotels were all clean and comfortable which was great. (Ed: Review based on slightly different itinerary. Trip name and itinerary updated this season)
Excellent package especially the cruise. Enjoyed the Rocky Mountaineer, beautiful scenery. The coach part of the tour was good but only having one night stops tended to be rushed as we arrived around 5.00pm and departed around 08.00am so not seeing much of the town. The two nights we had at Banff and Victoria gave us a whole day to sightsee which was read more excellent. Overall very enjoyable.
One of the best tour holidays we have ever experienced. Both the tour guide, Jana and coach driver, John were thoroughly professional, helpful and really gave all of us on the tour the utmost attention. Both were eager to provide excellent background history on places visited and their input made the tour that much more enjoyable. We would both do read more this trip again if there was a guarantee of both these people being available. The only minor issue related to the tour pace and it is mentioned more as a suggestion for improvement rather than criticism. Most people we spoke to on the tour agreed that it would have been far more relaxing if the coach tour part of the journey could have included say two night stops at each location to allow for more exploring and relaxation at each stop. Most people we spoke to would be happy to pay any additional costs.
A very enjoyable journey with plenty of attractions and plenty of spare time to further explore or to rest if necessary. As a single traveler, I found the single supplement and benefits very pleasing. Overall a very satisfying experience.
A European masterpiece 3Shelly & Yvonne , NSW, Australia, Aug 2015
The title says it all. The pace is fast but what you see and experience is fabulous. There were no outstanding highlights as the whole trip was an outstanding highlight.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Trans-American 'adventure' ; good mix of big cities, small country towns and national parks. An excellent Tour Director (Todd) and coach driver (George) made this one of our best Cosmos vacations. Hotel accommodations were clean, comfortable and centrally located - even the 'rustic' cabins for our overnight stays in the parks read more exceeded expectations. Most optional excursions were enjoyable and well priced, though a bit more variety in some locations would be be preferred. Would definitely recommend this tour to others and plan to use Cosmos again in the near future.
Excellent tour with plenty of time to explore 6Western WondersColin & Dinah, VIC, Australia, Jul 2015
Our Tour Guide Ken helped make this a great trip and our Coach Driver Randy was excellent. The drive from San Francisco down the coast to Los Angeles was a real highlight. The seafood restaurants in San Francisco and Monterey were fantastic and so many to choose from. The scenery along this part of the trip was very good. The optional tour to Universal read more Studios in Los Angeles was not so good because we were there on a weekend with great weather and there were too many people there. The Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Park provided scenery that is as good as anywhere else in the world that we have seen. Travelling some of Route 66 and stopping in one of the old towns (Seligman) was interesting. Three nights in Las Vegas was about right, particularly if you want to see some of the live shows on offer. This was an excellent tour with plenty of time to explore for yourself. Ken gave really good tips about what to see and where to eat for each stop.
Definitely will be using Cosmos again 4Ultimate South AmericaMogie & Vasan Naidoo, NSW, Australia, Jul 2015
We were very impressed with the tour and will most definitely be using Cosmos again. The care given to all by the tour directors has been amazing. Probably one of our best vacations.
We had a great holiday and everything went as planned. Just a couple of points we would like to make - the coach was not equipped with WiFi or a toilet. I think both are essential. Secondly no breakfast included in most hotels.
Done with no hassles at all 2Sandra Ohara, NSW, Australia, Jul 2015
My experience on the tour you prepared for us Georgie was very well organized I would recommend you to any one interested in tours as mine was done with no hassles at all. Well done Georgie, thanks.
We found Global Journeys great to deal with. The advice and the price were both very good. The tour was most enjoyable. Spain and Portugal were both stunning and while one can't see everything in thirteen days, Cosmos certainly planned this tour well. Our tour guide, Vitor Luciano was excellent and the other guides that joined us, were also very good. read more Our bus was near new and very comfortable. We considered this this tour very much value for money. Our actual overall rating is very good plus.
Experienced and customer focused tour director 1The British Isles in DepthPeter Donoghue, VIC, Australia, Jul 2015
Good, experienced and customer focused tour director. Similarly with driver. Tour accommodation and meals good, except for Newcastle and Wrexam. Tour pace and tours including optional excursions were good. Consider supplying headsets to assist tour director on street briefs. Enjoyed the tour.
A balanced coverage of the three countries in the time allowed for the tour. I found the pace about right taking into consideration the need for some long sections between stops. Some older people found the pace a bit taxing.
