Loved the tour from start to finish. Took the tour up to the tower at Niagara Falls with amazing views. Entertaining from start to finish. Even enjoyed the bus trips thanks to Gladys and her treats along the way.

A big tour of 42. Excellent Tour Director, one of the best I've had: great information including where to get breakfast and nearby supermarkets and restaurants to our hotels which was very handy, maps provided for each city, videos and music related to the places we visited. I certainly appreciated her 39 years' experience. Weather was cold and rainy read more in Canada, at 1 stage I had 4 layers on! The east Canadian cities had great architecture, I loved the French pastries throughout. Washington DC was great due to the range of free Smithsonian museums - you could easily spend a week here. We were here over the Memorial Day weekend (like our Anzac Day) so added colour and crowds to the various monuments we visited.
Good trip, but found hotel eateries sometime closed. I am mobility impaired so was unable to walk too far. Rooms were lovely and coach was clean and new. Guide was excellent, so other than the food situation it was a good trip. The cruise part was excellent.
15-day Central Europe Tour with Cosmos. Great value for money although some of the hotels were a fair way from town. Tea/coffee making provisions not always provided and most rooms did not have a fridge. The itinerary was amazing and our Tour Director - Timea Howard - did a great job.
This is my fifth tour with Cosmos in the US. It was somewhat disappointing. Too much time spent in gift shops and unnecessary stops throughout the tour. There were better choices for optional events too. It’s a mistake not to have at least one dinner as it helps to bond the group together. Saying that, our tour director Peggy was an absolute delight read more and nothing was too much trouble. It’s a full on tour and can be quite tiring, however this could be addressed with a more thoughtful itinerary.
Our 2nd trip with Cosmos tours. The tour had many music highlights of entertainment and history. Included tours and many optional tours as well to make the trip special. There was time allowed to explore on you own which was great. The hotels were of a good standard and always close to the entertainment and eateries for your own leisure time. Which read more is helpful when meals aren't included. Our bus driver was excellent and got us to each destination very safely. I would recommend Cosmos if you were looking for a stress-free holiday.
Cosmos put on a great trip through the middle of the USA, taking in all the music spots along the way. We enjoyed Memphis/ Beale Street, lots of lively bars and perfect weather for being outdoors. Nashville was also a great spot, Broadway having many rooftop bars. This stop could have done with more time as there was the Country Music Hall of Fame, read more Johnny Cash's museum and Broadway with all its rooftop bars and loads of entertainment. Not enough time to see it all. New Orleans was a great spot to, we spent extra time there after the tour finished. Our hotels were good, adequate and the one in New Orleans was very close to Bourbon St in the French Quarters. The choice of optional excursions was pretty good to, all in all well done to Cosmos. Also a well done to Georgie Walpole from Global Journeys who has helped us out with a couple of Cosmos Tours now.
The tour was very good with Temas the guide helpful and informative. Some amazing views from the train with 8 hr glacier express the highlight. The accomodation and meals provided generally good with the hotel at Zermatt top of the class. The disappointing feature was the cancellation of the train trip from St Moritz to Tirana due to track maintenance. read more The optional tour we went on in Lucerne was excellent with 4 course meal plus entertainment with local people helpful to understand culture of Switzerland. My wife and I have just completed this tour May 2025. We highly recommend this trip, if you want to experience a lot of what America has to offer. May was a good time to travel, as it was beginning of the Summer Season. We experienced snow in Yellowstone National park as well as 100 deg temp in Vegas. We had 33 on our tour, everyone had a great time. read more The accommodations were excellent and appropriate for different area's that we happened to be in. Our Tour Director John and Driver Wendy were absolutely fantastic, very professional and accommodating at every stage. This tour was our second tour with Cosmos & Global Journeys, we were so impressed with the first one (Golden West Tour) that we didn't hesitate to tour with them again. This company is very experienced at what they do, they are passionate about making sure you have a good holiday. We will certainly be touring with them again in the future.

I could be here for hours writing about the highlights of this tour, so many unique times, places and memories. It all started from the minute we walked into the hotel in New York and saw John the tour director, he had been our tour director on Route 66, 6 years ago, the people on the tour, we all got on well, then the locations we visited. To be standing read more 1ft from the water going over the edge at Niagra falls, then standing under the falls where you can almost touch the water, the roar unbelievable, the colour show in the water at night, all the national parks, all the wildlife we saw, black and grizzly bears, moose, elk, bison, prairie dogs, marmots, eagles etc. Standing in Yellowstone while it snowed, overnight stay to experience the sunset and sunrise in the Grand Canyon, then all the small towns. This is definitely a trip for everyone. 5 stars.
An amazing trip - loved new York, nice hotels, some hotels were more spacious than others. No wifi at north rim but that's ok don't need wifi every night. Niagra Falls - great scenery , Chicago was great , tour could've been a bit longer loved to have spent extra nights in Chicago and Yellowstone and maybe 3 nights In Las Vegas instead of two.

Our train trip through Switzerland was amazing!! We saw beautiful scenery and lovely little villages, as well as staying in beautiful towns like Lucerne for example. The tour had only 31 people on board so mainly Australians, but UK, NZ and Singapore people as well. The tour guide was good with all the train information as we travelled on regional read more trains as well as the Glacier Express, the Bernina Express and the cog railway to the Matterthorn. These trains are so comfortable and have big windows so the views were spectacular. Our hotels were all easy walks from the train stations and all very good and comfortable. We had enough free time to be able to explore the towns as well as do any excursions if you wanted to. I would recommend this tour for something a bit different from the castles, cathedrals & palaces I've seen in other parts of Europe.
We have had an amazing tour. Hassle free from reservation to end of the tour. The places we visited and sightseeing were all well planned. Accommodation selected at all locations were near eatery, grocery and other shopping areas, conveniently located. We have amazing tour driver and tour director, making our journey safe, comfortable, relaxing and read more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour.
The Switzerland Train trip had exceeded my expectation. The scenery was just amazing. Our tour guide Marco was so knowledgeable, approachable n professional. He made the trip so much more enjoyable. Thx Rachel for the seamless booking.

Rachel was a wonderful support as our contact agent from Global Journeys and answered all our questions and concerns immediately. The tour was wonderful and so much more spectacular than we thought. It was a shame the Colombia Icefield Explorer wasn't open but we did receive a refund. James our tour guide was exceptional with his incredible depth of read more knowledge and attention to detail on every aspect of the tour. Todd our driver was excellent also, his coach was always immaculately clean, very safe driving, always helping with our luggage with a smile. There were fantastic highlights just about everyday with lots of wow moments. James ensured everyone had a wonderful holiday with lots of great memories.
The Alaskan Cruise was run by Holland America. Unfortunately there were a few issues with our room, with the toilet becoming blocked twice, the room temperature way to hot to be comfortable let alone sleep. All issues reported. Toilet fixed twice, but no change in room temperature all week. We were somehow put on a German Group table every night for dinner. It was eventually sorted but were told we needed to eat at 5pm or eat with strangers.
Getting off for shore excursions was completely unorganised especially at the Juneau Port. It was unsafe with the crowd swell and number of elderly requiring assistance but unable to get it in the stairwells . We chose not to do any further excursions. Glacier Bay on the cruise was excellent. In the Fine Dining, portions were way too small and unfortunately the crowds and no seating at the Lido was not a pleasant experience. Unfortunately we wouldn't recommend the Alaska cruise week component. We would rate the land component as 4 stars, the cruise 2 stars.

I have travelled with Cosmos on a number of occasions, and they have never disappointed until this tour. The Tour Director was not good. He gave scant commentary, and very little detail on the history of the places we were visiting. He seemed to be more interested in talking about himself, and telling stupid jokes, that only he laughed at. I also thought read more there was way too much 'free time' on this tour. Some free time is nice, but not hours every day. Considering the cost of the tour, there were not enough meals provided. As a result, I am unable to give the tour a good rating.

The tour was really disappointing. The tour Director was nice enough but it felt that he had done it all too many times with tired and dated jokes, played videos rather than engaging fellow travellers. There were no group gatherings prior to the tour start, no name tags - we all just loaded onto the coachload of strangers. We were days into the tour read more and there were people on the coach that I hadn't seen before! Breakfast was included at most hotels which were quite adequate. A dinner included at the beginning in particular would be nice. The optional dinner at the end was expensive and only average quality - certainly not worth US$75. We expected group seating but it was individual tables of four mostly with little interaction.
In Philadelphia, we were all disappointed that tickets (free) needed to arrange a visit to Independence Hall were all allocated the day before. Most of us were keen to see this. We felt that Cosmos or Tour Director could have arranged tickets for us so that we didn't miss out. It was from this point on that many of the people we spoke to shared their disappointment with the tour. Some of the hotels, particularly Washington were quite a distance from food options. At times the Tour Director wasn't aware of where we could obtain food. Most of the hotels had no restaraunts attached. Overall I would not recommend this tour. I have also expressed my opinion directly with Cosmos.

South Africa: from the Cape to Kruger with Victoria Falls

The scenery was amazing. The safaris were brilliant and we were lucky to experience a wide variety of animals in the wild, a lot very close. The standard of hotels was good, some locations not great. Food was great. We had a great group of people and lucky to only have 12. I wish more trips were limited to 12 people. One hotel in particular was in read more the middle of nowhere and I wished we could have stayed in the city in Eswatini so that we had the opportunity to wander around in our free time and mix with the locals.
This trip lacked the opportunity for me to understand and mix with local people other than hotel staff and guides. Whilst I understand the need for advising passengers of safety, not everyone in South Africa is a criminal. There needs to be interaction with locals incorporated into the main itinerary and options. Not just the touristy shopping stops along the way. The Zimbabwe section was not continued with same guide and the travel company that were supposed to be looking after the group did not do that!

Spain Portugal and Morocco December 24 to January 25 was a good tour. Saw plenty of the highlights although Portugal could have been a little longer and Morocco less. All in all a good trip.
