I thought this was a wonderful trip and fulfilled lots of things in the USA I had wanted to see. The accommodation for the price we paid I thought was excellent. We had sun, snow, mountains, rivers and some of the most picturesque sights you could wish for. The trip was full on as we were up early most mornings and the two day stops were most welcome. read more I loved the wild west and The Badlands and Mt. Rushmore together with Salt Lake City and able to see the Mormon Choir practicing were all highlights of the trip.
Had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. 1

Had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The weather was great right through so we were really lucky. It was a small group of 24 total and what an awesome group we struck, everybody was very friendly, no complainers and everyone got on so well. Out tour guide Marco was exceptional and went above and beyond to make it a successful tour. Switzerland is expensive read more as we were warned but very beautiful esp through the Alps. Probably only drawback were some of the accommodation with very hard beds and air-conditioning that wasn't efficient or didn't exist in some places, all in all tho a fabulous trip !
Very Lucky to have such an experienced Tour Director and we felt so safe with our driver. The history and commentary were exceptional. Lovely people on our tour bus through Spain and Portugal.
Thus 7-Day tour was well constructed and carried out at a pace that suited everyone. Niles our Tour Director and Randy our Coach Driver were brilliant and always ensured everything was carried out with no fuss.

We had a very good experience booking our trip through Global Journeys and this was our third time using their services. Georgie our consultant was very helpful and answered all our queries promptly. Our tour director, Serena Campbell, was excellent. Serena was very caring, organized, knowledgeable about the area we went and advised us on good restaurants. read more She also arranged unscheduled stops to give us the opportunity to take photos of beautiful Rockies area. We were lucky as we had a very good weather from day one until the tour finished. The cruise to Alaska with Holland America was smooth and enjoyable. The most memorable one is the Glacier Bay where we witnessed pieces of glacier broke off and fell into the water.

The 10 Day Classic Japan: Golden Route tour was very good. I would thoroughly recommend the Hiroshima Extension. I felt this part of the trip was a wonderful experience in such a beautiful city. This tour was very slow-paced. We were given plenty of spare time to wander in all places which was interesting. The hotels were excellent in Tokyo, Hakone read more and Kyoto and the breakfasts also. Unfortunately a very poor quality of hotel and breakfast in Hiroshima.
The travel by bullet trains was amazing, comfortable and fast. The only negative was that we were told we could only take hand luggage on the train, so we had to pack clothes and toiletries to take while our bags were transported by road. This was inconvenient and most people would have liked prior warning.
There were too many temples and related items to visit. Am sure Japan could come up with some other places of interest for tourists. A beautiful, clean and safe country indeed.

Jennifer & I really enjoyed this tour. Yes, it was fast moving and yes, it would have been great to spend more time in some places, but that was the nature of the tour we chose. The coach, our driver and our tour guide were all fantastic. Gayle, our tour guide, to coin one of her favourite adjectives, was simply "gorgeous". The weather was kind to us, read more the accommodation was good, and the group were a great bunch, focused on enjoying everything that was on offer.We saw so much spectacular scenery, dug a little into the history and significance of amazing places and people, brought alive with memorable excursions and Gayles' special commentary and stories. A great tour.

We had wonderful time and would recommend to others. We definitely book our next tour with Global Journeys especially if we get Jemma as our tour consultant. (GJ. We'll make sure you do! Glad you enjoyed yourselves.)
We consider the entire 14 day "Italy's Best" tour of Italy one continuous highlight, whereby each city or place visited in Italy presented a "Wow" factor, whether it be because of historical significance, architectural marvel, or cultural appreciation. The cities and places making up the tour were fantastic and I don't think that a better itinerary read more could have been provided.
The group of 42 people including ourselves all got on well and we had a great time together, and we think that the mix of people from different parts of the world and from different parts of Australia made the tour all the more interesting. Our tour director Flora was great, she was professional and extremely knowledgeable and was also fun to be around. We all felt that we were in good hands with Flora at the helm and no request or issue was ever too much trouble for her to personally address. Georgio the driver was also great, whereby he had excellent driving skills and strong familiarity of the roads which made us all feel safe throughout the entirety of the tour. Georgio was also very well organised with the luggage handling on arriving at, and departure from, each hotel.
The quality of the breakfasts at each hotel was second to none, and the included dinners were of high standard as well. We had only 2 minor issues which we do want to bring to your attention however,..the included dinner at the hotel in Perugia (La Meridiana), did not include drinking water, whereby this had to be purchased, which we thought was quite unreasonable and poor, and the shower at the Grand Hotel Du Park et Regina at Montecatini was way too small with clingy poor coverage curtains which resulted in flooding of the floor area, which made showering extremely uncomfortable.
I trust that Global journeys will review these 2 small items in good faith for the benefit of future tours. We want to say thanks to Global Journeys for an excellent tour package provided, and to yourself Jemma for all your personal efforts and assistance provided to us from when we first signed up for the tour, right up to our departure date. We will definitely consider Global Journeys and Cosmos again for future holidays. Thanks again,

The tour covered a pretty extensive area & had exceeded our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed it to the maximum. The group were pretty nice. Tour director, Tom, was excellent. Drivers were skillful. This was our 3rd tour with Cosmos tours and we will be going on the fourth and fifth soon... Some of the hip cups were the accommodations with this trip, read more but I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

We enjoyed our Cosmos tour to South America. The tour director was excellent, laid back but efficient. Each tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about their home country. Loved seeing the costumes of the ladies in Peru, countryside was also beautiful. Would highly recommend this tour.
Overall the trip was good thanks in a large part to the efficiency of the guide and bus driver & fellow passengers. They were excellent. Accommodation left a lot to be desired especially the bathrooms in Sparta, Olympia & Delphi. They were well below standard.
There was mould in the bathrooms, the water was never contained in the shower area and read more bathroom floors were flooded especially in Sparta as the shower pointed away from the catchment area. The exception was the Golden Age where accommodation, bar/restaurant & staff were great. Accommodation location was very good. Food - breakfasts as a whole were generally good once you adapted to what was on offer (European Style).
Fellow traveller - overall they were friendly and we got on with the majority of the them which added to a good experience. We could not understand why some people (approx. 20%) opted for this tour as there was a lot of climbing and steps to negotiate which was well beyond their physical capacity and they missed out on some amazing sights. Some struggled to negotiate the steps into the bus.
More information for the optional tour to the 3 islands on the second day would have been useful. It was a very long 12 hour day which included 7 hours of sailing in rather warm weather. We would have had second thoughts about doing this if we were better informed. Going in September with temps in the low 30's was an ideal time. On a scale of 10 we would give it 6 mainly due to the poor quality of accommodation, otherwise we would rank it as a 9.

Firstly Leanne at Global Journeys was great to deal with, she dealt with my questions quickly and patiently!

She went out of her way to make sure we received a lot of interesting information and read more made the most of our trip. Giovanni was a driver with talent - the way he maneuvered our huge coach but at the same time made us feel safe and comfortable.
We had an awesome group of people on our trip... had a lot of fun together on a tour that met our expectations and more. Was sad to say goodbye! We did all the optional excursions, and they were worth doing! Would definitely recommend Cosmos tours and will definitely be going on one again!

Our trip around Spain was wonderful - more enjoyable than expected. Our tour guide with Cosmos was outstanding. He was especially helpful in giving us a knowledge of customs, food and culture for each of the areas visited and ensured we knew where to find the extra sights. There was adequate time in each of the towns visited - aware there was much read more more to see but only so much fits into 14 days. With such hospitality we'd love to come back. The service from Global Journeys was also excellent and we were given prompt notice when one of the accommodating hotels was altered. (Ed. This trip has changed this season, so this review refers to a slightly different itinerary.)
A great tour with wonderful companions. Susanna our guide was lovely, knowledgeable and entertaining. The towns, scenery, national parks are all spectacular. The weather was kind, we managed to keep in front of some snow. Highlights were, New York, Niagara Falls, Chicago and Las Vegas.
The highlights of our trip included the 200 Km boat trip from Whittier to Valdez on an 83 foot catamaran and whilst we had winds up to 60 km per hour the Captain adjusted the boat speed and it was a very smooth ride and there were no signs of sea sickness on the boat.
Other highlights included the optional White Pass railway trip which is a must read more do, this Cosmos trip is the only trip that does this. The train trip from Fairbanks to Denali National Park was in a glass top train with an outside viewing position available for photographs was also very good. Hotels are 2 to 3 stars and the reason for this is this trip goes into remote areas that have limited hotels available. Getting to Anchorage the best way is to fly to Hawaii then overnight with Alaskan Airlines from Honolulu to Anchorage.

The Central Europe tour was wonderful and all the cities visited were beautiful, interesting, so full of history and difficult to pick a favourite - would love to see them all again! Our tour guide Tina was great as was our coach driver Francesco and the coach was very clean and comfortable - needed to be on the long days driving between cities! The read more tour pace was very hectic to cover the large territory in the time allocated. Arrival into most cities was late afternoon, followed by early departures so realistically we only had a day at best - with shorter stays in Vienna and Munich! Perhaps Cosmos should cut Vienna or Munich from the itinerary as the stays in both are very short and hotels so far out of the city it is difficult for passengers to maximise the limited time available in both cities. The hotels in both Vienna & Munich should be changed as really out of the way, limited facilities and very little nearby - Vienna hotel is particularly bad!
Why do Cosmos start the tour in one hotel in Frankfurt and end in another? The hotel in Frankfurt at start of tour was good, well located within easy access to the city, train station and airport, with restaurants & shopping nearby. However hotel at end of tour was so far out of town and twice the distance from the airport and made it more difficult (and expensive) for passengers making onward connections - a let down at the end of the tour!

We had amazing time, so sad to be home. Patrisha our Gide was great, Flávio our bus driver we all loved. Our hotels were pretty good and breakfasts were great in most places. Dinners were OK too. I think we got good value for money and we would do it again. Just loved it.

Canadian Masterpiece with Rocky Mountaineer & Alaska Cruise

There were two main highlights of our trip - Rocky Mountaineer and the glaciers in Glacier Bay. The Rocky Mountaineer is an extremely well run trip (2 days) from the welcome and departure, to the commentary, food, beverages and excellent service. This two day trip is a great introduction to the Canadian landscape and the works undertaken by the pioneers read more in establishing the railway through BC.
The cruise through the inside passage and the time at Glacier Bay, watching and hearing the ice crash into the sea was an experience not to be missed. The cruise (run by Holland America on the Volendam) surpassed our expectations - a very well run organisation that could not do enough to make the cruise an excellent experience.
The Cosmos coach trip gave us a good introduction to this (BC) part of Canada although we felt that some of the hotels were a little sub-standard and that component of the trip should be reviewed. Also we felt that the trip was a little rushed and could benefit from two nights at more of the places visited - for example after arriving early evening at Whistler from Sun Peaks (a long bus ride) we had to leave early the next morning to catch the ferry to Victoria, Vancouver Island, and everyone felt they did not really get a chance to have a good look at Whistler. Overall it was a fantastic trip and we have no hesitation in recommending this combination.

Although we have travelled extensively in Australia and overseas this was our first coach trip so we can't compare it to any others. It was everything we hoped for. We found Madeleine, who was our contact from Global Journeys, extremely efficient and answered all our texts promptly and a pleasure to speak to by phone as we are in Canberra and she's read more in Noosa. Our paperwork done we headed off on our adventure.
We arrived in New York via Dallas and glad we had booked ourselves a couple of extra days in the Skyline hotel before the tour began just to get over the long flight and a chance to book ourselves on the Hop On and Off bus and to get a taste of New York. Our tour guide on the brand new Cosmos coach was Doris and driver Wayne. Both delightful people and ever so helpful. Doris kept us entertained in the coach with number plate bingo, collecting quarters from all 50 states, and showing information videos/movies regarding the states we were travelling in. Our luggage was so well organised, it was placed in our room on arrival and picked up from our rooms at departure time. Doris and Wayne were brilliant at organising this.
The accommodation was very good apart from one cabin in Cody where I detected a bad smell and it seemed rabbits were under lots of cabins. All other accommodations were around 4 stars and were clean and well presented often Best Western and there was always a laundry available very useful for such a long trip..apart from Las Vegas and LA.
Every day was awesome, sit back and relax and enjoy the view, hassle free. Our fellow passengers, from Oz, NZ and UK were great company. On arrival in Hawaii we were picked up and taken to the Princess Kaiulani Hotel (well needed laundry available). We met with Robey, the Cosmos rep who was helpful and gave us maps and general advice about Honolulu and had arranged our departure shuttle. We had been to Honolulu twice before so we just needed to relax, chill out and enjoy. We would recommend this tour if you love a new road adventure.
