Very good experience of the best cities in central Europe 3 Central Europe , QLD, Australia, Oct 2017
Very good tour guide who provided a comprehensive overview of the countries visited with humour thrown in. The cities visited were beautiful and the time provided to explore was adequate to see most sights. The only downside was there were big distances to travel each day.
Trip of a lifetime 7 Golden West Adventure , VIC, Australia, Oct 2017
This was my second Cosmos tour and I have to say it was another great tour. I met two lovely ladies on the UK tour I did last year and they became my travel buddies for this trip. We saw some amazing places - some favourites were the Grand Canyon, Yosemite National Park & Las Vegas. The tour was for 16 days which I think was long enough, having 3 read more days in Vegas & San Fran was great.

Our Driver Craig was very quiet but a nice guy and our tour guide Craig Cherry was great, very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a coach of 25 people and everyone of us were Australian, came away with some more friends to keep in touch with.

The only downside was that we travelled as a triple and were told beforehand that in the room we would either get a rollaway bed or a pull out couch for the 3rd bed, that didn't happen. Apart from that the majority of the accommodation was great. A couple of places were a bit dodgy but they were just overnight stops (get in late/leave early) and we had a couple of hotels where we had Wi-Fi issues and that was a problem for me in San Francisco as I had work stuff I needed to sort out.
My Tour of Thailand 2 , NSW, Australia, Oct 2017
Everything ran smoothly. Although I must say from a previous trip my transfer did not come through so I was a little worried about this one even though it said in the documents where and when I would meet the rep. Well I landed in Bangkok and followed the book but no rep to transfer me to the hotel. So I asked around and eventually the rep turned read more up and I was on my way to the hotel. From then on it worked like clockwork.

Our tour guide was fantastic on every level. He had mountains of information. He never used any notes and he was very pleasant to deal with. The hotels in each city were fairly well located and the included meals were great especially the lunches. The sites were interesting and I learnt a lot about Thailand and it's people. I would recommend Cosmos for this trip and Global Journeys for their pre organising & bookings.
A great tour of Spain, Portugal and Morocco. 7 Spain, Portugal & Morocco , NSW, Australia, Oct 2017
We had a great time on this tour. Our Cosmos tour director Angel Diaz was excellent. Extremely helpful, friendly and had a great sense of humour. Everything was well planned and we didn’t experience any problem. A big thank you to Madeline at Global Journeys for organising our holiday for us.
Outstanding holiday   4 Scenic Slovenia & Croatia , WA, Australia, Oct 2017
We arrived in ljubljana the start of the tour. We fell in love with this beautiful city, our first contact was from the pick up at the airport, we were greeted with a friendly smile, then onto the friendly staff at the M Hotel, a neat clean room was very welcoming. The city is charming, as we were there at the end of the tourist season, it was very read more slow paced and enjoyable to walk around.

Croatia was fantastic, all accommodation provided was great. All the old cities visited were truely gorgeous, Split was my favourite, with its beautiful water and a Venice feel in the old city. All local guides were outstanding in every stop we made. The tour Director was an amazing man, funny, but professional when needed. Value for money holiday again.
A great Faith based tour -Fatima, Lourdes & Shrines of Spain 4 Fatima, Lourdes & Shrines of Spain , VIC, Australia, Oct 2017
Jemma was prompt and great in handling my tour query and booking. The tour itself was very good. Only 2 hotels were way out of the city area ( Lisbon and Barcelona ) and hotels for Fatima and Lourdes were in excellent location.
Well Organised 3 , NSW, Australia, Oct 2017
This tour was very well organised. Everything went smoothly and we had a wonderful time. The standard of the hotels was very good and 99.9% of the meals were great. Bit of a hectic pace but we were prepared for that seeing how much we saw.
Autumn in Eastern USA & Canada 3 Eastern Us & Canada Grand Vacation , NSW, Australia, Oct 2017
To see the Autumn in New England was the main reason I joined this trip. But unfortunately I didn't get to see too many of the beautiful leaves as Autumn came late this year - except in Quebec. Nevertheless I had a good time during the journey. The scenery in both countries was very beautiful. Our tour director, and the driver were the best ones based read more on my four previous Cosmos tours. The fellow travellers are very nice especially the couple we met from Wales.
Great trip. 2 Central Europe , QLD, Australia, Sep 2017
Tour guide and Coach driver excellent,Hotels pretty good just could have been a little closer to city centers (eg about 15 to 20 minute walk) instead of 20 taxi ride. The only hotel we had an issue with was Kavalier in Wien. The room we had was not cleaned properly dust round the skirtings and carpets worn through. The rest of the hotels were good over read more all trip we thought was excellent would do another one the Cosmos it was well run.
Spain, Portugal & Morocco 4 Spain, Portugal & Morocco , WA, Australia, Sep 2017
Unexpected surprise, enjoyed most of the tour. Excellent tour Director, coach and driver. bread! Maps provided were not available in English, hardly anyone speaks English which did not help. Disappointed with some hotels who were unable to change rooms due to full bookings and late arriving. Problems with A/C & TV and room service. Hotel management read more should check rooms and ensure there is nothing lacking before letting. Breakfast unsatisfactory, no fried eggs only boiled or scramble, coffee machine constantly out of order. Some hotels even did not have sliced bread.
Spain, Portugal & Morocco   7 Spain, Portugal & Morocco , ACT, Australia, Sep 2017
Highlights: Lisbon, Seville, Casablanca’s Hassan II Mosque. Don’t understand why the visit to Casablanca’s Hassan II Mosque is not on the itinerary. Too many shopping stops, especially in Morocco. The performance of “1001 nights” in Casablanca is very amateurish. It seems they gathered some of the most ugly and unwilling women to sing and dance on the stage.
Very enjoyable trip   6 Spain, Portugal & Morocco , WA, Australia, Sep 2017
I have travelled with Cosmos before and definitely value for money. Didn’t have to worry, our Tour Director took care of us, John Shaw I would say knows how to organise and has great knowledge about Spain, Portugal &/Morocco. The trip is moderate, a fair bit of walking, I think this was the only thing I felt was sometimes too much, perhaps the heat read more didn’t help otherwise would have enjoyed the walks.

Our tour group were the best ever, everyone took to the tour and therefore made this trip even more enjoyable. Our driver was excellent, the amount of driving that he had to do, can’t say enough, excellent skills.
The 16 Day Golden West of USA was an excellent holiday/experience/education   6 Golden West Adventure , QLD, Australia, Sep 2017
The Excellent Bits:
1. Our tour director, Ken Hartford, was very experienced, knowledgeable, passionate about California, prepared, organised, entertaining and could second-guess just about everyone's needs. Jason, our driver, was skilful, courteous and careful.
2. Wi-Fi on the coach.
3. The 3 night stays in Las Vegas and San Francisco gave read more us a chance to get a feel for the places as well as a break from living out of a suitcase.
4. The Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Park.
5. The included tour of Alcatraz.

The Good Bits:
1. 5 included breakfasts at some of the overnight stops.
2. Monterey Aquarium (optional)
3. 17 mile Drive/Pebble Beach

Overall:
This tour exceeded our expectations in almost ALL areas. In our opinion it was a 4-star tour at a 3-star price. Thank you Cosmos and Hannah at Global Journeys.
Very interesting and impressive tour 7 Highlights of the Canyonlands , NSW, Australia, Sep 2017
The tour was perfectly organized and packed with amazing sights of many natural beauties, I would definitely recommend it. Tour director Andrew was extremely friendly and helpful.
Great trip in Eastern Europe   10 Treasures of the Balkans & Transylvania , NSW, Australia, Sep 2017
A thoroughly enjoyable trip to some less well travelled destinations. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the countries we visited. They are still developing as tourist destinations. We thought we would be confronted by poverty, beggars and a lot of depressing architecture. This was far from the situation. The countries are rapidly developing as read more destinations and will become increasingly busy in the future. Guide was excellent. Accommodation as good.
Great trip if you love music. 7 Rhythms of the Road , NSW, Australia, Sep 2017
If you love music then this holiday is for you. Hotels were comfortable and the upgrade to the Graceland Guest House was perfect, Cosmos should offer more music options in Chicago as there are many blues related facilities which were never mentioned and we discovered by ourselves. Recommend additional days to explore.
Recommend a baseball match in read more St. Louis, great night. Paddle steamer cruise in New Orleans was average for a farewell dinner. Still think breakfast should be included as it makes the morning starts a lot easier.
Excellent trip through fabulous scenery 8 Heart of the Canadian Rockies , NSW, Australia, Sep 2017
Our 10 day Rockies trip was brilliant, well organised and accommodation was good with a couple of really flash hotels! Our Tour Director, Mark Love, a native of Alberta, was well informed and fun, and our bus driver, Norm, was friendly, helpful and flexible. September was a good time to travel, not too cold, fewer tourists (although we were surprised read more as to how many there were), fresh snow on the peaks and beautiful autumn colours. Our coach was a good mix of people, mainly older, but from Canada, Australia, USA and the UK. We thoroughly enjoyed it all.
Great holiday with wonderful sights   11 The Canadian Rockies , QLD, Australia, Sep 2017
A very well organised tour with Guide & driver excellent. The group, mainly Australian were lovely. I had done a Rockies Tour before but on the train and even though saw mainly the same places with the exception of Sun Peaks & Whistler, everything still looked beautiful, the last time Lake Louise was covered in ice, this time the most magnificent reflections read more as we had a perfect day. One of my highlights was the Peak 2 Peak Gondola in Whistler, you were so high, towering above the mountains on another perfect day. Overall it was a great trip and Global Journeys organisation of paperwork etc. was very good.
JUST GOT BETTER AND BETTER   8 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2017
This was our 5th Cosmos Tour and our 5th booked through Global Journeys. Booking with Global has always been faultless and this time with Madeline was no exception.

Just when we thought a new day could not get better, it did. We went from places like Arches National Park to Bryce, Zion and Grand Canyons, to the expanse of Lake Powell and the absolute read more amazing Monument Valley. We rode on the narrow guage railway from Durango up to the beautiful old mining town of Silverton and enjoyed the bonus of snow on this part of our tour, and on another day enjoyed a ride on the cog railway to Pikes Peak near Colorado Springs.

Every day was brilliant and too many highlights to choose a favourite. Our tour guide Bruce was an encyclopedia of knowledge and went out of his way to ensure our accommodation preferences, optional tours and every part of our holiday went perfectly. Our bus driver Charles kept an immaculate bus, provided iced bottled water for our entire trip and accommodated our increasing luggage supplies.

Cosmos provides excellent value for money and we now look forward to choosing another holiday with them, and booking through Global Journeys.
I had a very pleasant experience 53 The British Isles in Depth , NSW, Australia, Sep 2017
I have just returned from the 24 day British Isles in Depth trip with Cosmos. I have previously travelled with Cosmos. I booked my trip on-line through Global Journeys. On this occasion, Yvonne Brooks was the consultant who helped with the booking. I usually pay the single supplement. However, Yvonne advised that there was an opportunity to share, so read more I took up the option and had a very pleasant experience.

The standard of accommodation, optional excursions and entertainment, as well as included meals was of a high standard. It would have been lovely to have had more two night stays in places such as Strathpeffer in the west Scottish Highlands, but that would have entailed a much longer trip. Quite frankly, Scotland and Ireland were my favourite parts of the trip. It would be possible to fly into Glasgow or Edinburgh, hire a car and do Scotland and Ireland yourself. Or, if you had the time and money hire a camper van and take six months or so to do this trip yourself. Autumn is a good time to travel in these parts of the world as the weather is good and it is not too busy.

My fellow travellers were a mixed bag of ages and personalities and pleasant company. We all mixed freely throughout the whole trip. Our tour guide, Fiona, was extremely knowledgeable concerning the local history and gave commentary throughout the trip. Our bus driver, Mark, was a pleasant and experienced driver and his skill negotiating some of those narrow winding roads was much appreciated.

It's hard to say what exactly was my favourite part of the journey as there were so many picturesque coastlines and memorable sightseeing opportunities every single day. I definitely think that this trip is value for money and suitable for any person who is reasonably fit.

One word of warning. Don't take too many clothes! You really don't need six (or 10) of everything. Pack light. It will be much easier. As you are on the bus most of the time, you don't get dirty. You can generally wash your 'smalls' and get them dry in the bathroom. Do take a couple of ' better' items for changing for dinner - but not over the top.
